But
anyways, Dagon moves on to talk about Old Ones suddenly ending. He
heard that someone said that the world was broken to begin with. Some
other person said it was fated to destruction from the beginning. Either
way, Azathoth was sealed, and the rumors go that he was defeated by
someone who called themselves God.
As a
result of this, Azathoth’s next-in-line or controller sunk to the abyss,
was sealed within the castle of twisted time and slumbered. It’s a
place of incomprehensible design, and even Dagon’s knowledge could not
let him approach it. But sometimes that controller, who had the power to
cut through dreams and reality, would sometimes send messages through
dreams saying they were alright.
Dagon
wanted to see them however. And so he swore. Dagon swore to meet with
them again, no matter what he’d have to do. Dagon started researching
like a madman to find out what was happening in the battle between
Azathoth and the former God. He still lacked the information he wanted,
and in his search for it he wished for the rainbow light of summoning to
take him to the mad city of mingled worlds.
After
coming to Tokyo, Dagon sought out knowledge endlessly to the point
where he had no qualms in taking a contract that would have him give up
his body. He repeats it’s all for the sake of meeting that person again,
and for the sake of learning the truth of the world from the man who
shared his name. And at the other side of the world, his promise became
possible.
Back to the present, Nomad,
Asterius, and Kurogane are firing their NPs at the angels. The tribe
mobs rally themselves to fight, and as the battle goes on the memories
of the angels fade away as they’re destroyed. Bael is yelling war cries
and curses as he swings his two clubs at you guys, but Kijimuna prevents
him from harming any of you using his NP to summon plants to keep him
away.
Bael retreats to Dagon’s palace,
asking where it all went wrong. He then notices that Astaroth is
standing there in his way and starts raging at him. Bael rants about how
he wanted power equal to his position as the first under the hexagram
star. He wanted the seat of World Representative, and he cries as he
wails about losing it after finally having it.
Bael
asks where he made his mistake and whether his wish was mistaken.
Astaroth speaks up to say they aren’t calling Bael’s feelings wrong.
They know of Astarte’s tears and their own frustrations after all. Bael
readies his clubs while Astaroth readies their snake, and Bael moves
first using Baal’s NP Ayamur (and) Yagrush: Irreconcilable Poetic
Relapse. Astaroth recites their CS line as they attack with their NP in
response.
Astarte shows up for this fight and
calls out to Astaroth around the time Bael and Astaroth cross their
metaphorical swords. Astaroth seems to have taken heavy damage, which
Bael laughs about until he notices the snakebite on his neck is leaking
out light. He then starts trying to press it down.
Astaroth
says that if Bael has used his own artifact which he knows so much
better, which would also mean Bael fighting as himself as top demon of
the hexagram against #29, Astaroth would have lost for sure. Astaroth’s
power causes Baal to separate, and Astarte in surprise asks where he had
been. Baal tries to answer and uses boku in this instance, but Bael
forces the fusion to resume.
Bael asks
where Eden’s angels went since there shouldn’t be this many left by this
point. A voice answers him saying they won’t be coming since it’s a
hunter’s job to shoot down birds flying around. Robinson (labeled as
Aqhat for some reason) shows himself to Bael’s shock as he says the best
is saved for last. Then he fires his NP at Bael, dividing Baal from
Bael.
Baal makes a break for it, and Bael
tries to call after him to come back. You however show up to stop him
and say you’ll go back to Tokyo on your own. Bael rants about everyone
getting in the way of his dream as he activates his own artifact and
goes directly for you, starting what is presumably the episode battle.
The story continues afterwards.
After the
episode battle, the story picks up with Bael calling out his NP. His
line for it mentions a blood sacrifice, and the NP itself is called
Burnt Offering: Blood Union of Church and State (or Blood Theocracy if
you prefer).
You call out your own NP in
response, and Dagon is shocked to see it in action. Your activation of
it this time brings up the power to cut dreams and reality to rend
through space, and Dagon sees the person they wanted to find in you.
Tokyo appears through the dimensional rift, and Bael is sent through it.
Astaroth
says they’ll see Bael again in Tokyo because they’ll be going back
soon. They also comment that they feel like they can like Tokyo now,
then mention having a lot of things they want to talk to Bael about.
There the episode abruptly ends.
