Ever
since the switch happened he’s been sitting there alone drawing things.
Then he goes back to asking why you’ve come over there since the border
of dreams and reality is probably unrelated to you.
He
decides to leave that be and asks to talk, and when asked if that’s all
we’ll do he starts thinking about us and our concern with that. He then
brings up he’s only ever cared about people who liked the same things
he does for the longest time. He decides to introduce himself at this
point and talks about his likes. Namely drawing, beastmen, and drawing
beastmen.
Kuniyoshi talks about how happy
it is to do what you like, as in drawing and talking with people with
common interests. When asked about people without common interests, he
says he tries to show them the glory of furries through his drawings.
He’s never been bothered when people call him weird for liking one thing
so much or say he should change for his own sake.
Kuniyoshi
says he does it because that’s who he is, even when his art school
classmates have said the same things. Then he says he doesn’t force
anything, so he doesn’t keep anyone away nor does he chase after anyone
who leaves.
Kuniyoshi then starts talking
about how even he doesn’t understand his dream. He phrases it as a
“world where all his dreams came true,” then asks you to look at it and
tell him what you think later.
Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Those Who Fight Amidst Isolation.
Back
to the present Leib calls your name trying to get your attention, and
you react by snapping to it and wondering what you just saw and are
about to say something about that Kuniyoshi. Leib says he thought you
were brainwashed by the dream for a second, then says you guys should
end things soon. You guys need to get Cu Sith back and get Alp to dispel
the dream.
You either ask Leib if Cu Sith
is important to him or just make that observation. Leib says it’s just
that they’ve agreed to a mutually beneficial cooperation. He’d rather
not do anything because when he works, something gets scapegoated. If
that goes on it’ll lead to total annihilation, so he’d prefer pretending
to be some careless dunce.
Leib also says
Cu Sith wants to take care of Leib when he does nothing since he sees
bits of his old master in him. Anyways he thinks it’s a good pairing and
asks with a smirk if you think so too. You either wonder if good is the
right word, ask if it’s mutually comforting each other, or comment that
Cu Sith seems happy that way.
Going B if
it matters, Leib says he wants to end the dream and go back to his
comfortable lazy life, even if it is just a matter of running from one
dream to another. Then he starts running for the castle.
Alp
says that if you guys can make Kuniyoshi wake up for even a little bit
he should be able to use his artifact to forcefully end the dream. As
such he asks you two to help him. You agree, and Licht says he’ll help
to persuade Kuniyoshi too. He then yells about how much it hurts to run
barefoot.
Alp asks if he’s okay, then
mentions that since his feet are kind of thick he doesn’t notice. You
either say it does hurt or offer to carry Licht piggyback. Going A, Leib
says to get ready for anything since you’ll be at the castle soon.
Inside,
Cu Sith asks Kuniyoshi what he wants to play and says he was sad since
he was looking for him all this time. Now that they’re together he’s
happy. Kuniyoshi apologizes for making him sad and agrees to play. He
also decides he doesn’t need to draw anymore since anything he draws out
in his head will become real.
Kuniyoshi’s
first order of business is to split the kingdom into seven areas so that
each day they can play in one and move onto the next one the next day.
Each of the areas will showcase a certain kind of fluffing for anyone to
see for themselves, and Cu Sith supports the idea.
The
kingdom outside changes without Kuniyoshi particularly doing anything,
and he comments on the convenience. He’s about to suggest going to one
of the areas when Benten sighs and says Kuniyoshi is set in his way of
thinking. She points out that doing the same things over and over again
will get tiring, so Cu Sith gets mad and asks if she’s raining on the
parade.
Benten says she doesn’t mean to do
that, but she does prefer to have more thrills. She doesn’t see what
Kuniyoshi sees in beastmen anyways, saying that no matter the race
there’s uniqueness to consider. Cu Sith says he thinks Benten is
rebelling but starts fumbling for a more official sounding description.
Kuniyoshi says it’s fine since jesters are supposed to say whatever to
the king.
Benten of course protests this and says she’s a strong independent genius royal orchestral leader who don’t need no man
won’t suck up to anyone. Cu Sith just accepts Kuniyoshi’s decision, and
Benten comments on him listening to him so quickly. Cu Sith defends it
by comparing the king to be the minister’s master. Benten thinks the
minister is supposed to be strict with the king if they’re messing
things up.
Anyways Benten says she’ll take
her job seriously, only to feel like she’s forgetting something and
getting swept up in the moment. Kuniyoshi suggests they head out
already, and you turn up at this point saying you’ll stop him, take back
Cu Sith, or end the dream. Cu Sith tries to play the imposing official
but bites his tongue partway through. You either point this out or
encourage him to keep going.
Cu Sith
retries his big speech, then calls in all the guards. Kuniyoshi is
unconcerned and is more excited thinking you guys want to know the
greatness that is furries, so he offers to tell you all about it. Since
he refers to it as the only thing he’ll do, Licht asks if he’s not going
to draw anymore.
Kuniyoshi says he doesn’t
need to draw anymore since his ideals will take shape just by thinking
about them. Licht goes quiet, then a flashback starts to a classroom
conversation they had. There, Licht asks if Kuniyoshi is still gonna
work on something since to him it looks finished already. Kuniyoshi is
unsatisfied since he feels he can do so much more with it, laughing in
excitement and saying he can’t stop since it won’t come out the way he’s
imagining it.
Licht decides to stay with
him, which surprises Kuniyoshi as he asks if Licht hasn’t turned his
work in yet. Licht claims he just wanted to draw a bit more, and the
flashback ends as Kuniyoshi wonders about that.
Back
to the present Licht says he finally understands something about him.
Kuniyoshi asks if something is wrong with Licht, who says he found
passion because of the sense of inferiority Kuniyoshi sparked in him. He
says he’s made up his mind, then declares he’ll take over the kingdom
out of ego and bring Kuniyoshi back out of it.
Kuniyoshi
doesn’t get what Licht is saying, but shrugs and says he’ll show him
the awesomeness of anthros soon. He’ll also make it so that the rest of
you will love them too, and Leib tells you guys to be careful of
whatever Kuniyoshi will do.
Kuniyoshi fires
off a strange ray of light from his pen staff which hits an alchemist.
You ask if they’re okay, and the red panda starts talking about fluff
and how cute he is. Cu Sith welcomes him to the kingdom and Licht is
taken aback by the effect of the light. You comment how it affects
people, and Kuniyoshi fires his brainwashing laser again.
You
avoid the shots, which slowly pushes you back to the walls. Benten
speaks up to remind you all that she’s there and intervenes, except
she’s under Kuniyoshi’s control and uses her NP to bend the laser
towards you.
When it looks like you’ll be
hit, you are saved at the last second by someone swooping in to bring
you out of the way. When you open your eyes you see it was Durga who
saved you. She tells you to relax since the rest of them are here to
help. You ask her if she saved you in surprise or ask how she got here.
Wakan
Tanka speaks up and says that wherever you are will be Great Spirits.
All roads can be taken by the buffalos charging, so he can always get to
places. Narration says that Gunzou, Fenrir, and Jambavan have also
arrived. Gunzou asks if you’re okay and says he’s here to help. Jambavan
says he’s here to Leib, who observes that everyone else is here and
okay.
Jambavan says that when they were all
separated from you guys he freaked out a little over what to do, but
Fenrir says he joined up with him for the hope of reaching tomorrow. You
thank them and say to fight together.
Cu
Sith turns to Kuniyoshi worries that the numbers are against them. He’s
unworried and says they just need to get more allies, so Cu asks him
how. Kuniyoshi says it’s enough to get people to understand Cu Sith’s
cuteness, then asks if anyone else thinks so too. He proclaims his world
as one where fluffing Therians leads to a win-win for all, so he’ll use
his staff on you all to make you see it.
Leib
tells the rest of the party to be careful of the laser light
Kuniyoshi’s staff shoots, and you either only now get through your head
what it does or say it would have been huge trouble if you were hit.
Gunzou asks how you’re supposed to get close enough to attack him, and a
penguin alchemist offers to make it happen if you guys can create an
opening.
Leib says the penguin is
Jambavan’s teammate, and Wakan agrees that you guys should act as
decoys. Kuniyoshi asks if you guys are done whispering yet, then talks
about how the no wait line attractions with fluffing are available now.
Wakan Tanka activates his NP and signals to Gunzou, who charges in to
Kuniyoshi’s and Cu Sith’s surprise.
Alp
cheers Gunzou on, but Kuniyoshi says he was kidding and saw this coming.
Gunzou lets his guard down in his shock, and Kuniyoshi takes that
moment to shoot the alchemist. He boasts about never overlooking any
fluff he’s marked, saying he can read the movements of all furries on
the floor.
The penguin falls under
Kuniyoshi’s control and Gunzou worries about the plan being seen
through. Wakan compares that light Kuniyoshi used as being similar to
his world’s concept, then says that anyone hit by a thunderbird’s dream
cannot go against their own heart. Licht points out that things are
getting worse for you guys, and you either say you can’t get closer or
ask if there’s a way around this.
Fenrir
suggests undoing his bindings and destroying the dream world, but a
voice says they won’t let him do that. That turns out to be Benten as
she says she knows his power. Fenrir says it’s a terrible fate for her
to be standing in front of him as he calls her Maiden of Betrayal. She’s
fired up to fight him as they get into a stare off, waiting to see who
moves first.
Alp says the dream is strong
as expected and that Kuniyoshi’s desires are spilling out. Kuniyoshi
says his desires are his ideal paradise and invites everyone to join him
in happiness. He fires his light again, and all hell breaks loose.
Leib
says that with Fenrir facing off Benten, you guys can avoid the lasers
but you can’t get closer. And since the lasers don’t actually hurt you
Leib can’t actually affect them with his artifact. So he turns to Alp
for suggestions. Alp explains that the laser is Kuniyoshi’s dream in
itself, subsuming anyone hit by it. Unless it’s another dream, nothing
can resist it.
Licht has an idea from that
statement, and you turn to him. He says that if Alp’s artifact created
this situation, then it would be a good idea to set a Dream Ruler
against another. Leib takes a moment to understand that, then tells you
guys to listen. You either get it or say you don’t.
Jambavan
asks about using Alp’s power on themselves and Durga follows along well
enough. Alp has reservations however because he’s worried their witch barriers dream
worlds will return with them as well as the possibility they’ll rampage
again. Leib says theoretically it should be okay, if he happens to be
right. And if he isn’t he’ll put a stop to it. They’ve already been
stopped after all.
Alp agrees to try and
asks if Jambavan and Durga are ready. Kuniyoshi doesn’t know what you
guys are trying but he’s ready to brainwash you whenever. Alp checks
with Jambavan and Durga again, and both are up for doing it. Alp puts
his pride on the line for this as he starts break dancing and turning
his hat around, and upon activating his NP Jambavan and Durga transform
and ramble about their worries.
Both leap
forward as they announce themselves, ready to fight against Kuniyoshi as
they block his beams. They still have some level of their dream
thoughts running through their heads, but they’ve got it under control.
Gunzou is amazed by what they did, and Alp tells them to be careful as
they’re weaker than when they first fought. Leib figures they won’t
becomes giants because their dreams were resolved once already.
Alp
says that only one of them wouldn’t be able to stand up to Kuniyoshi,
but together they can. Jambavan asks who will lead, and Leib asks you to
do it because he needs to deal with Cu Sith. You agree to it, so he
says he almost wishes you were a part of his research lab and turns to
Jambavan. Jambavan agrees if it would make things easier. Durga says
she’s counting on you to direct.
Kuniyoshi
finds what you guys did to be cool, but he says he’s a king too and
turns giant as well. Wakan Tanka compares him to the land, and Alp says
that his dream power is expanding. Fenrir asks if that means it’ll be
bigger than anything before. Kuniyoshi says he isn’t done and takes off
his shirt off. He figures it’s best to fluff directly if anything.
Kuniyoshi
then asks Cu Sith and the brainwashed alchemists are ready, and they
get ready to go. Benten protests being treated as an afterthought.
Anyways Kuniyoshi declares he’ll show you the best of furries and uses
his laser, which seems to be an NP of its own now named Fluff Love
Happiness: Therianphilia Light Ray. You proclaim you won’t be taken in
by the dream and say you won’t lose as the final episode battle starts.
