Ueno Fluffy Dream Kingdom Episode 5 Part 1

Things begin with narration from Alp.  He says there never was a self of him that people would like, so he changed himself to suit others. When he came to Tokyo, he made efforts to make a new self. He discarded the hated, disliked self from his past, changing how he looked, how he spoke, and what he liked. So long as people would like him and he could be popular, he thought it was fine.

And so, now he has who he is now. He just wanted to bury something in an isolated hole. Here, no one looks at him funny. He has friends, and he can be the star he wants to be! So why does he feel so stifled? Why does he feel as uneasy as he did back when he was alone? Did he really change from the self who had nothing...?

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Drifting Into the Fluffy Kingdom!

Things then tune back into the present as Leib gets up from being thrown by the spatial warp, no worse for the wear. He asks if everyone else is okay, and you can either jokingly respond by playing it like a teacher doing roll call or dispense with that and say you’re there.

Alp cheerfully responds as well, though after a quick look around he slumps his shoulders noting no one else seems to be here. You then either comment it’s just like the beginning of it all or say you’re worried for the others. Going B, Alp hopes nobody was hurt by what happened. He does think they made it to this world too though, so you should see them sooner or later.

You either agree or pray they’re fine. Anyways, Alp comments on the happy, fun mood of the place. Leib personally thinks it’s more of a chaotic mess. A few dramatic shots later, and you refer to the place as an amusement/theme park. Leib then notes that there only seems to be beastmen around and figures this must be someone’s picture book dream kingdom. He sighs and wonders how long this will keep up, and Alp agrees still playing dumb.

Leib turns to Alp and asks him to come clean, but Alp tries to avoid the subject. Leib then points him out as likely being the cause of the dream world, then adds that he’s not yelling at or scolding him when Alp clams up. He just wants to find Cu Sith and get everyone out. Then he tries to wheedle Alp into helping since he’ll be counting on him.

Alp eventually admits to creating the dream world, and Leib says he caught onto that from the moment they met. You can either agree too or say you didn’t figure it out. Going A, Alp has a big gasp to himself as Leib says he’s so suspicious anyone could see through him, and that he doesn’t have much of a poker face.

Leib then asks Alp about the power of his artifact, having figured out a general idea about how it works. It’s supposed to create dreams and clash with a dreamer’s dream, and it’s not supposed to be so wide ranging in effect as to enter other people’s dreams. But things make sense if it’s the power to switch dreams and reality around.

Alp is surprised Leib knows so much, and he responds by makes a joke about knowing because Leib’s part of the Ueno guild. Then he says it’s just a coincidence. He just knows Someone with a different class but a concept in the same category. But back to current matters, he talks about how Alp’s power made someone’s dream real. And by some stroke of bad luck, the dream became uncontrollable. He supposes Alp didn’t plan for all of this to happen.

Alp confirms that, saying he only planned to look at your dream and was surprised the scope of things blew up. You can either be surprised by that, be outraged, or essentially go “oh.” Alp apologizes saying he thought you were popular and wants to learn from you, trying to pass it off as a sudden impulse. After a beat he tries to laugh and asks you to forgive him. You either say yes, no, or only if you can pet him.

In A, Alp has a big yay and says he loves you. In C, Alp is willing to let you do that and tells you to come at him. After it happens he’s a bit taken aback by how intense it was and compares it to how Kuniyoshi acts. In any case Leib says it’s now a matter of what to do next. You suggest turning the app off and asking Alp if he’s tried.

Alp says he has tried that, but it didn’t work, which he finds weird. Leib tells him it’s possible regarding where the app was activated, and that the problem lies beyond that. Alp worries about being taken to task again, so Leib assures him he’s not gonna do that and thanks him for being honest. But he does have one other question.

Leib asks Alp if his power ever affected this many people at once before. Alp says it never did, and that he usually uses it on one or two people at most. This time he only targeted you, and this is the first time it’s dragged in so many more. He apologizes again for causing you all trouble, saying he’ll take responsibility and do whatever he can do undo the overworld shift. He also admits he can’t do much well on his own, so he asks you guys for help.

Leib says it’s fine since they’re friends, so he’ll work with him to solve things. You also agree to help, and Alp thanks you both. Right after that you guys hear a voice you recognize, with Kuniyoshi once again just about ready to wet himself in excitement over all the furries. Alp wonders if there’s some cool attraction that way, so you suggest checking things out. Alp agrees and has some inkling as to who it is.

The pared down party goes over and runs into Kuniyoshi, who comments on the coincidence of meeting you here. You either express mild surprise, say he seems fine, or say his PJs look great. Going A, things skip directly to Licht running in saying it’s dangerous to split up and Benten telling the boys not to leave her alone because the place makes her dizzy. You then either say the two of them are okay too, compliment Licht’s bed clothes, or say Benten’s sleepwear is your Fav (or whatever social media joke you want to use).

In B, Licht is happy that you see their quality and tells you it’s made of silk. He says they feel great and you touch them yourself, but he asks you to step back because he’s apparently going commando before it unravels a little. In C Benten is happy that you understand and even prompts you to get closer so she can take a selfie with you two. She then sends it and tells you to treasure it forever.

In any case Licht asks if you’ve noticed that this is a dream. You either are surprised that he’s caught in or just nod. Going A he says he figured it out from his observations. He’s not certain whose dream it is but he totally suspects Kuniyoshi and looks over at him. Kuniyoshi just continues squealing.

Licht seems to internally facepalm, then continues with his train of thought. If this is Kuniyoshi’s dream, then Benten might have issues. She starts dramatically proclaiming that she’s dying while Kuniyoshi’s usual peachiness already bothers her. She says she can’t stay for long in a place like this and says it doesn’t rock. Things rock because they can’t be defined, and what she wants is different from what’s being given. And so, she wants to destroy all the lame music, fake smiles, and safe attractions.

That said, Benten is also getting swept up on the mood since that’s the kind of person she is, so she’s a bit conflicted. She flops over, so Licht tries to get her to get a hold of herself since you’re here too. You either make the observation that she’s weakening, tell her to live, or be creepy and say she’s sexy this way.

Going A, she lies there in silence, but Licht observes that she still has it in her to take pics and write a dying message. I’m a little unclear as to the intended meaning but I’m guessing she’s either telling Kuniyoshi to shut up or saying beat him up. Anyways, Kuniyoshi notices some commotion happening, but he still finds that less important than turning to Alp and engaging him in conversation since he always wanted to do that.

Alp is surprised by this, and Kuniyoshi hops around asking if he’s okay and jumping into saying he’s cute and round. He asks to touch his stomach, asks what color his tail is, says his clothes are cool, and notes how elastic they are. Alp needs a bit to catch up but he says he’s okay with it and asks if he’s really all that special. He also asks if Kuniyoshi likes pandas.

Kuniyoshi says he loves them and proclaims he wants to be with Alp like this forever. Alp seems flattered and a touch confused trying to keep up, then laughs, says pandas are cute, and tries to offer some pandayaki to Kuniyoshi. Kuniyoshi however runs right past to babble at Leib over his fur and glasses. Leib is surprised to be talked to and thanks him, and Alp gets offended. Leib in response tells Alp to stop looking at him like that and says he wasn’t doing anything.

Alp thinks to himself about how Kuniyoshi likes beastmen. Kuniyoshi turns to him and asks him to stop making that face too, saying he’ll always welcome him. Alp snaps out of his thoughts and has to remind himself to smile, then coos over how nice Kuniyoshi is. Around this time Cu Sith walks over and notices Leib. You call his name and ask if he’s okay.

Leib gets a sense of urgency to him as he asks if it’s really Cu Sith and if he’s okay. Cu Sith reveals himself, and Alp says there’s something wrong with him. Leib asks what he means, and Cu Sith says he’s himself. Except he immediately contradicts himself saying he got it wrong, and that he’s now the Fluffy Minister. He wants you guys to call him that and asks if it’s a good name. You ask if he’s actually the Dream Holder or oblige him.

Going A has him respond as if B was picked, so he just answers. Cu Sith goes on to say how nice fluffing and petting is and says to put your face onto his stomach and nuzzle. Licht says his title seems familiar while Kuniyoshi geeks out. Leib says Cu Sith *is* wearing a weird ass sash and him being the Dream Holder isn’t out of the question. But then he realizes that if that’s true, why is he going by minister and not king? Is he really not the Dream Holder?

Cu Sith says Leib shouldn’t crease his brows like so and repeats that he wants them to call him minister. Then he asks if you guys have seen the king anywhere. They’ve gone, so now he’s sad and lonely. Alp brings up that Cu Sith had a master once and says it’s possible that they might be his king, which in turn could mean Cu Sith could be the dreamer here.

Leib says it’s possible, and that either way you guys need to wake him up before he starts rampaging. You either agree or say you wanted to play with his fur. Going A, Alp says you guys can’t let Cu Sith get hurt, so he suggests surprising him to make him faint. He could use his artifact if that happens.

Kuniyoshi protests this, and while Leib isn’t happy with it either he points out it’ll be dangerous otherwise and that you guys won’t be able to leave. Cu Sith gets upset that no one is addressing him as minister since the king gave him that title. He says he won’t even let you guys off the hook for ignoring it. Leib says he’s just Cu Sith to him and wonders how long this is going to continue, so he asks Alp to do something only to notice he’s gone somewhere again.

You look around and call for Alp, and he turns out to be in the center of the area breakdancing. He raps about stopping Cu Sith from going nuts and how no one really wants a big scene, so they just have to knock him out somehow. Cu Sith calls you all meanies for ignoring him, then cries as the episode battle starts.
