Gabriel says she’ll be fine, which she bases
on what Arachne said earlier. Arachne calls Gabriel Business World
Aura’ed Mystery Sister and asks how she can be so sure, especially since
she turned down her works back at the shop.
Gabriel
apologizes for that occasion, saying she couldn’t accept what Arachne
was saying no matter who she tried. But now that she’s experienced the
measuring battle and and felt her sincerity for herself, she can say so.
She can now confidently say “I’m really looking forward to it” (title
drop).
Gabriel says that if she can declare
that, it’ll be okay. After all, just like Arachne is a pro fashion
designer, Gabriel says she’s a pro at wearing nice clothes. Arachne is
surprised at this and asks who she is. She can tell she isn’t just some
mystery nun, and she says she’s hiding her light, not her shadow. And
not just any light, but a great big gorgeous one.
Gabriel
offers to tell her maybe if Arachne can really excite her. Arachne says
that normally it’s a bit whatever, but having someone really be excited
to see her work...is really awesome, so she decides to take Gabriel up
on her bet.
She asks that, if she manages
to fully satisfy her, that she tell her what she’s been hiding. Gabriel
smiles and nods. Arachne starts getting fired up too and says it’s time
to work as she goes over to that room the Missionaries let her use.
Scene
then shifts back to your side in the office as Zabaniya says he’ll get
back to patrolling and cleaning the monastery. You comment on him
leaving and ask if he’s uninterested in seeing what will be made. You’re
excited to see it yourself. Arslan says he must be thinking about it,
and that whenever Zabaniya leaves in a hurry he’s always thinking about
something.
Azazel says he’s probably trying
to prepare himself mentally for the new clothes in a few hours. Arslan
wonders if Arachne really can get it done so fast, and he brings up that
it takes him days to clean his own pants.
Azazel
points out that’s probably because they’re soaked in oil. Still, he
does seem somewhat worried about the production taking a few hours when
Nyarlathotep comes in in silhouette with his usual weird poetic speech
and talks about tossing away your pointless worries. Once it’s done you
can go look at it. You either yell and ask who the Shadow is, be
surprised and act like a ghost appeared, or roll with it and say you’ve
been waiting for the Crawling Chaos.
Nyarlathotep
reveals himself and asks how everyone is. Azazel greets him and asks
what he’s there for. I have no idea what Nyarlathotep (or whoever wrote
this) is going for in the English side of Nyarl-speak, but the Japanese
part has him saying everything in the world is pointless and being too
stimulated leads to boredom. Then he brings up a guest from another
world, a spinning wheel and a spider shadow lady.
Arslan
asks if he means Arachne and says she went to the sewing room or
whatever. Nyarlathotep seems kind of disappointed by that since he says
her work shouldn’t be disturbed. He/They wanted to go see her, but then
says he can’t because he doesn’t have a tie with her.
Nyarlathotep
also describes Arachne as a wandering weaver who interweaves the
world’s shadows. But since shadows are normally formless, giving them
form would lead to comedy and tragedy. He then questions who ever
decided that Shadows can’t take the leading role.
Nyarlathotep
calls Arachne a sad shadow spider, the borrows presumably Azazel’s
words as the only angel present about how a stray sheep that lost their
place to die is so cute. Then he seems to praise Azathoth. You comment
that Arachne does seem lost and ask if Nyarlathotep also picked up on
that, or you say you have no idea what he’s on about.
Nyarlathotep
asks if that’s what it looks like to you using both your eyes. If it
is, then that’s what it must be. Those who are lost aren’t distrusting,
and those who aren’t lost are. An old acquaintance? Mistaken identity?
He doesn’t want to see her, which means he *does* want to see her. He
then suggests casting a spell on her and talks about a distorted shining
light.
Anyways, I think Nyarlathotep then
calls Arachne earth shattering and obsessed. Arslan says he doesn’t
understand what the newest slang is anymore but asks if he’s up to
something I think. Nyarlathotep answers no but actually maybe yes. He’s
the Crawling Chaos and he loves stirring up the world after all. Then he
disappears.
Maria comments on the stray
sheep remark he made and figures Arachne must have some sort of baggage.
Azazel says he heard about the other day and believes so too. He thinks
it’s because Arachne’s works aren’t getting the sort of attention she
wants.
Several hours later Arachne comes
back and proclaims that she’s finished up her work. She was worried a
little since there weren’t any patterns to it, but she was so excited
when she started making it that she rode her high through it.
Arslan
asks to have a sneak peek, but Arachne is firm about the unveiling
being done in its proper place. She can’t show it to him until that’s
ready even if he’s involved with this, which disappoints him. Arachne
then says she’s already asked Maria and the Mystery Sister to go set
things up for her, and with the suggestion Azazel gave her she feels
it’ll be awesome.
Arslan says Azazel did
suddenly slip out at some point but he’s surprised he did that without
him knowing. Arachne asks him to calm down since she wants to ask him to
help with something too. You thank Arachne for her work and ask if it
came out well. You also comment that it seems she’s up to a lot of
things.
Arachne thanks you for your work
too and apologizes for making you wait. The preparation is done so she
suggests you all go to where the presentation will be. She then takes
everyone to the church where all the lights are off. You comment on it
and can go as far as calling it the darkness of the abyss.
Arachne
thanks everyone for waiting and says this will be where the show will
happen. It’ll be her second show and there’s only one thing to present,
but she asks everyone to enjoy. Then she starts it as she calls for the
music to turn on.
Arachne starts describing
Zabaniya as someone with a disciplined body who takes great pride in
his present work. He also carries a constant conflict inside of him with
the way he lives now, which she says is a vow to himself he can never
break. Arachne also calls it a strong self imposed dignity that exists
even as he continues his work.
Arachne says
she deeply understands that particular bit, saying that it’s because
you have pride that you can have confidence in your work. She then
compares Zabaniya’s dignity to the ultimate spice to bring the utmost
charm to his Shadow.
Arachne excuses
herself for a moment and starts talking about how Zabaniya changed from a
certain meeting. That brought about feelings of change that penetrated
to his chest, though that came into conflict with his dignity. But now
he has once again decided to face his ambivalence, which brings us to
his suit being revealed.
Arachne asks what
people think and says this time she went for a simple formal suit. This
suit is made with flexibility, durability, shape memory, and excellent
fire resistance. It’s made the same way as his regular outfit, which she
used as a reference but doesn’t explain any more about it as a trade
secret.
You ask in shock if she took
pictures of Eden’s tailoring, ask when she did that, or say she doesn’t
miss a detail. Arachne moves on to talk about how she kept in mind how
this suit isn’t to have any added flairs. If Zabaniya were to suddenly
dress up he would be agitated, which would cause dissonance with his
dignity. That’s why it’s a formal suit, as the reserved look is what
keeps the balance of things.
Arachne says
Zabaniya’s charm comes from the conflict between his hidden passion and
his exposed repression. In which case, the best thing to do would be to
make it straightforward and highlight it. And as its designer Arachne
proudly recommends it.
Arslan starts
talking about a priest’s duty on intersecting two peoples’ lives as an
outsider and administering the ceremony of marriage. One person can
never ever be the exact same as another, which means the two to be tied
together will face several hardships.
As
such, they cannot attain it on the idea of walking together side by side
for life by itself...Arslan then says he sees where Arachne is going
with things and says her work is splendid, and that he can see how she
got to this point.
Zabaniya says he lived
while never having accepted his contradictions, and yet that in itself
is him. He looks at both Arslan, and then you. Zabaniya then talks about
forgiving sin while punishing it, and about aiming for what goes beyond
law while being bound by it. He feels that embracing that conflict is
necessary to finding a new way of being yourself, and he smiles.
Arachne
says she put his feelings into those clothes and then ends the
presentation. After it’s over Maria compliments Zabaniya on his new suit
and how he looks in it. Gabriel gives her stamp of approval as she
talks about her surprise at how good a simple suit can look. She teases
him about how he could be a magazine model and calls him nii-sama.
Zabaniya
seems touched, and Arslan agrees that he looks good in the suit too.
He’s just so happy for him that he got something really nice. Zabaniya
thanks him and everyone else.
Then he asks
you what you think since he still feels a bit embarrassed by it. He also
takes a step forward and asks you to be as frank as possible. Gabriel
is taken aback at how much stock he’s putting into asking about your
thoughts on his clothes. You either say it looks right for a marriage
ceremony, say you feel like wanting him to officiate a ceremony for you,
or you say you want to marry him.
In A and
presumably B, hearing you say that makes him finally relax that maybe
someone as sinful as him could do a well-wishing type of job. The idea
makes him well up with gratitude.
In C he’s
shocked by the idea, though he then says that as the officiant it’ll be
hard to actually respond to that at the moment. But if the opportunity
ever comes up... He then asks if you’ll give him some time sometime in
the future because he has something he wants to say. Then he decides
he’s talking crazy and asks you to forget what he’s just said.
In
any case Azazel joins in to say Zabaniya is rocking his suit. He thanks
him and swears to work harder so that he can be the one to receive
blessings too. You either say he seems too pumped up for a marriage
ceremony, that his drive seems to be running in circles, or that he
seems to have returned to his old behavior patterns.
Arslan
sighs about how Zabaniya doesn’t ever relax, though he says that’s also
his good point. Maria laughs and says it feels like it’s been a while
since Zabaniya looked like that. Arachne then asks him how it feels to
be wearing the suit. He says it feels so appropriate the way it doesn’t
seem ostentatious.
Arachne is happy about
that and suggests he can change the tie color when he gets used to it.
He thanks her and says he feels like trying it out sometime. Arachne
says it can go slowly, since that’s how clothes are.
Arslan
says that now that the presentation is over they should have Zabaniya
practice having a marriage ceremony. Gabriel agrees since it seems like
fun and because you’re all already there. Zabaniya can just do up to the
initial parts at least. He however finds the idea unusual and that it’s
not something you practice.
Azazel says it
should be fine because they might ask him to do it one day to
Zabaniya’s mild horror. You tell him to hang in there, say it seems like
fun, or say maybe amiability would look nice. Gabriel says she can’t do
it because there are strict rules about that for idols. It’d be such a
pain if the paparazzi got on her case for something she did for fun
without thinking much of.
Arachne finally
catches onto Gabriel talking about idol matters and asks what she means.
Azazel declines to take part of the practice run since he’ll be talking
Zabaniya through it from the side. Gabriel figures that means Zabaniya
can’t do it either since that would mean he’d be taking vows in front of
himself. So, Gabriel turns to you and suggests you get married. You
either freak out or accept with pleasure.
Arslan
laughs saying he doesn’t mind being the bride or groom. Gabriel says
she wants to see Maria go through it, and Maria is only mildly surprised
by the suggestion. Gabriel then says that after everyone leaves she
wants to have one too with her and asks Zabaniya to do that one.
Arslan
and Maria both take spots next to you, and Zabaniya opens a bible or
whatever according to Azazel’s instructions. Arachne watches from the
side, talking to herself about marriage as a colorful event in life. She
thinks she probably won’t be involved with it since she’s mostly
married to her work.
Arachne then goes to
talk to Gabriel, who asks her what’s going on. Arachne asks if she’ll
give an answer to her earlier question, which Gabriel agrees to. She
says she thought the vest Arslan picked for Zabaniya was nice since it
was so pretty. But at the time, Arachne tried to push a bunch of clothes
onto them without ever looking at Zabaniya, which she thought was sad,
especially given that Arachne made something excellent for her.
Gabriel
says that to her it sounded like Arachne was trying to sell things for
the sake of her business as opposed to selling what it was Zabaniya
truly wanted. Arachne admits she was right, that she was in a rush to
make sales at the time.
Arachne then
processes that Gabriel mentioned being a customer of hers before but
can’t remember meeting her if they’ve met before face to face. Gabriel
then decides to show herself and instantly changes to her Christmas idol
outfit. Arachne is shocked that it’s really the idol Gabriel she’s been
talking to and recognizes the work she made for her.
Gabriel
says she really likes that outfit since it was made for her sake and
because it’s so eye catching from far away. And now that Arachne made
something great for Zabaniya, Gabriel says she wasn’t mistaken after
all. She then asks to have a meeting Arachne sometime later since she
wants to have her make a new stage outfit.
Arachne
happily agrees, then has a request of her. That is, she asks to have a
commemorative photo of Gabriel in the clothes she made for her. Gabriel
seems to be okay with the idea.
Some time
later the practice run starts as Zabaniya announces the beginning of the
ceremony. He asks that the ones seeking marriage to step up, and organ
music starts playing that Azazel seems to be directing with his fingers.
You then step forward.
Zabaniya then reads
off the standard wedding vows to you, asking if you do so swear to be
with ___ in sickness and in health, etc. until death do you part. He
goes through it methodically, and a bit awkwardly and stiffly, yet still
there is a sense of quiet happiness coming from him. You say you do,
and Zabaniya looks up with a smile as the episode ends.
