Seaside Fashionista Epilogue Part 3

Things start off with Shino greeting us and leading us to the tatami room the Outlaws apparently have at what looks like a beach hut by all appearances if it weren’t for the Host Club sign that’s up. On the way over you see two people you know stuffing their faces with yakisoba and ramune.

That turns out to be Motosumi and Takemaru. Motosumi comments on having a certain idea of what’d be going on when he saw the host club sign, but then says it’s more like hosts working at a beach hut. Takemaru says Ibaraki told him...something happens if you ask for extra service but I don’t understand him through his dialect. Motosumi takes it as a reason to stop worrying then and asks if it’s possible to order takeout for the yakisoba.

You say you’re having information overload but decide to ask why the Outlaws are doing a beach hut. Arachne answers and says Tsukuyomi must have taken her up on her suggestion. He mentioned wanting a shop by the beach, so she suggested making the interior design follow that idea. Tetsuya is surprised that Arachne was the one to put the idea in his head, though he admits that a lot of customers have been drawn in by it.

Arachne says Tetsuya looks good in his swimsuit, and you can say it’s really surprising, say it looks great, or say your eyes have been blessed. He’s a little embarrassed, but says that since it’s the shop uniform he has to roll with it like a stray dog.

Shino says he had to dress up in his swimsuit too instead of looking like his usual stray dog self. He does think the host outfit might be a bit better though. It’s more presentable for showing himself in front of you, if I understand him right. You can either say he’s cool, say you like his swimsuit a lot, or say you want to go on a date with him dressed like that.

Going C, Shino’s shocked by this and thinks it’s a joke at first and tries to claim it’s all a dream, though he’s conflicted on that. Anyways he composes himself and asks you to take a seat so he can get you some ice water. As he runs off, Ibaraki and Tetsugyuu show up, the former greeting you guys and the latter asking Arachne how her business is doing.

Arachne answers that it’s doing well, then asks them how their swimsuits are. Ibaraki says it feels great and likes how the spiderweb design on his looks like tiger stripes. Tetsugyuu says his feels comfortable too and asks if you think it looks good on him. You can then either wonder if Totally a Mystery Lady got a swimsuit too or say Tetsugyuu looks good in his swimsuit.

Going A, Ibaraki pretends not to know who you’re talking about and claims he has something sudden to attend to. Tetsugyuu tries calling after him and wonders where he’d be going to in such a hurry. Ibaraki then comes back in his fem form saying she’s just passing by and this is totes a coincidence. Arachne plays along, and Ibaraki thanks her for making a swimsuit for her too. Tetsugyuu doesn’t seem to be in on the secret and offers to show Ibaraki to a seat, but ~~he~~ she declines and runs off. Tetsugyuu wonders why she even showed up.

Gyoubu sighs over how pathetic that looked and comments on how energetic young people are. He also says he’s being a terrible worker not taking any customer orders. Arachne then notices Shino hasn’t come back yet with the waters.

Suzuka comes over and says it’s unusual for Shino to make customers wait, then offers you guys some ramune and Gyoubu’s deluxe takoyaki. It’ll be on the house as apologies for the trouble, and Suzuka offers to take any orders for other things.

Arachne compliments on how cute Suzuka is and says her swimsuit is happy to be worn by someone like her. She also declines needing any other service since she’s fine with the ramune and takoyaki.

Shino runs back apologizing for the interruption and says Those Customers have come asking to see Eboshi. He also apologizes you two for the wait since said customers delayed him in getting back. Suzuka sighs and says Eboshi will take care of it, since she can’t disappoint them and because Tsukuyomi asked her to do it too.

Suzuka goes in to change and comes back out in her suit. Arachne says she’s getting captivated by how elegant Suzuka looks in it and says inspiration is coming to her again. Suzuka tells her that if she makes something new to bring it over so she can get dressed in it. The two share a laugh before Suzuka says it’s time to go and tells the others to come with her.

Shino leads the way, and Gyoubu quotes about how spring will come soon when winter does. He also talks about how things went a bit differently than expected, but if Suzuka is happy then that’s fine. Tetsuya says it must be her fashion, in which case he doesn’t mind. Ibaraki and Tetsugyuu get fired up to go, and Tetsugyuu says he’ll see you later.

The Outlaws return to their positions, and Arachne says there doesn’t seem to a need for you two to go help, so you guys can relax. You tell Arachne she did good, ask if this is everything for he day, or say the takoyaki was nice.

Arachne asks you to wait and says there’s still one more place to go to for the day, then asks you to accompany her. Gyoubu tells you take care and invites you to come back again. Tetsuya says to piss off if you’re done since they’re busy with work, then less rudely says later.

Narration says you two head to Roppongi next as evening sets in, and camera then tunes into Gyumao’s office as he greets Arachne and says most of the workers have already left for the day. He then offers some tea or warm milk if you guys want any. Arachne opts for the milk.

Gyumao then comments that Arachne made a proper appointment this time and how different she was from before. Arachne says if that’s how he sees her, then it was because of how she’s grown from her exchanges with everyone.

Arachne then brings up the topic of her brand establishment, which Gyumao notes. Arachne then asks if it’s possible to start it over and apologizes for how arbitrary that is. Gyumao asks her to explain.

Arachne says that she got an opportunity to take another look at her work during the Tokyo Mode Collection. She also has her confidence in making the perfect clothes for showing a wearer’s Shadow. Despite that, she wants to think over what sort of clothes she wants to offer under her brand to the faceless masses.

Gyumao starts to say something, but Arachne preempts him by saying it isn’t a matter of being unconfident. She says it’s more that she’s super confident. Arachne says she can now see a clear goal to work towards, which is about making the best clothes that show the Shadows of the general public, and she stares at you as she says so.

Arachne then repeats her request to start over and acknowledges how selfish it is. Gyumao seems to think it over, then suddenly yells that it’s nonsense. This startles her and she asks if he’s mad. Gyumao laughs and says he did it without thinking.

Anyways Gyumao asks her to not mind that and says he understands the situation. However, he thinks restarting their business from scratch is entirely nonsensical. He then suggests they talk about investing into a new future, which she asks about.

Gyumao says he did business with Arachne because he was worried about the apparel business’ future. When things are mass produced their value drops, because current prices are determined by scarcity. Custom products will get more expensive and labor will be needed. Even if a smaller market is made it won’t go on to master the bigger market.

Gyumao then sums it all up by saying that people want mass produced products that were made only for them. That seems contradictory, but Gyumao says the markets and the world always has them. He says that only the people able to solve that contradiction can change the world, and it’s how business innovates. If Arachne can make clothes that do that, then she can probably spread it to the world.

Arachne notices that she said something similar. Gyumao says their concerns are facing the same way, and as such he asks if she’ll join him in figuring out how to tackle them. He figures she can handle it gracefully, and he asks her to join with him before other businesses try to make an offer.

Arachne is touched and doubts herself for a moment before backtracking and boasting how she can do it for sure. She proudly agrees to accept his offer, then thanks him again for things here on out.

Time skips as you and Arachne are out on the streets in Roppongi, and she notices the fireworks off in the distance. She starts thinking about theming some clothes around firework, then goes silent. When she speaks again she thanks you for everything.

Arachne says she wanted you to see the success of her work this time. It’s getting late, but she wanted to tell you that in the end. You ask if that’s why she asked you to come with her to go visit everyone.

Arachne freaks out for a second wondering if you’re upset. She says that wasn’t everything, and that she was thinking of thanking you a different way. She had a hard time bringing it up earlier, but she says she wants to make you some clothes that will draw attention to the entirety of your strange, complicated Shadow. She then pensively asks what you think.

You agree to it and say you’ll look forward to it. You don’t know much of yourself still, so you’re looking forward to seeing what Arachne can show you. Arachne then laughs and says you both still don’t know yourselves that well yet. Then she says okay and asks you to expect great things.

Arachne says it’ll be cute, sharp, pop, modern, grunge, traditional, formal, and casual. She compares you to a kaleidoscope and says the clothes will be the best in the world at suiting you. She’ll be sure to make your Shadow shine, so let her genius take care of it.

As Arachne makes her vow, the fireworks blasting seem to etch them down into the sky. The two of you walk off into the night, and an onlooker watching you two celebrates into the empty sky. Nyarlathotep talks about how the lost sheep has found its way home, and how it will continue to be troubled.

He wishes the great spider shadow good night, makes a reference to the world’s isolation and passing spider thread, then says he’ll see them again. Nyarlathotep then disappears, leaving behind the summer heat and a gentle sea breeze. And so the Seaside Fashionista event story comes to an end.

Seaside Fashionista Epilogue Part 2

Things pick up with us back at the event area with Arachne commenting on how great AC is during the summer. You ask her what Tsathoggua is doing when he was made to work, though before she answers Tsathoggua calls out to you two, glad that you’re around to help him. He’s wearing a signboard on his back that says Arachne Shop (Temp.) and is up to his neck in customers swarming around him.

Tsathoggua says he’s been drinking tropical honey drinks and that the job is easy, but he is getting bothered by all the attention he’s been getting. Arachne expected as much and tells him everyone thinks he looks good in his swimsuit, which brought in all these people. Hakumen then turns up and comments about how Tsathoggua was close to crying while in that outfit.

You comment on her being here and ask if she’s done with her work. Hakumen proceeds to welcome you to her shop saying she’s the manager today and offers you a 100% discount on everything. Arachne in shock asks if this is supposed to be hers and not Hakumen’s. She thinks it’s a crazy idea to have the place selling only swimwear for vacations.

Hakumen pokes fun at Arachne for coming in late as if she were the president, then says that since Arachne left it unguarded for so long she hijacked it herself. Arachne objects and says she won’t stand for it, even if it is a temp shop. Hakumen laughs and says if she didn’t have that much drive, she wouldn’t be able to compete with her.

Xolotl also happens to be there and he cries and begs Hakumen for help with dealing with all the customers, as he’s being overwhelmed. Tsathoggua isn’t sure if it’s the change in line up or prices, but he’s surprised at how different business has been compared to before. Arachne says it’s because she got an opinion from a very important friend, so she had to hear it out.

Hakumen sighs over Xolotl and his problems, then tells Arachne it’s time to work as she calls her manager. Arachne agrees and tells Xolotl she’ll be right there. Gullibursti then turns up having heard of Arachne and asks her for help in picking something, only to be shocked to see you here. You either greet him and ask about him coming down from the mountains, ask if he’s buying a swimsuit, or treat him like a stranger and ask what he’s looking for.

In any case Gullinbursti says he heard that in Tokyo, people go to the beach in the summer. If you ever happen to run into danger there, he figures he should get some clothes that will help him get there faster. Arachne interprets this as wanting clothes that show his active way of life and life’s purpose, and Gullinbursti is surprised she can read him so quickly even though they just met. He takes it as a sign of her abilities as a designer.

Arachne suggests he go order a pattern when Aizen pops in with Sitri and starts yelling about indecency. You can either go ugh at him, greet him casually, or comment on the cutie behind him. Sitri greets you and asks if you also came to get a swimsuit. He was in the area and figured he might as well look for an adult manly man sort of swimsuit himself. He also says he heard you wore something from here when Aizen runs in front to cut him off.

Aizen tells Sitri to stand back as he calls you a love singularity once again. He claims to understand what’s going on, then accuses you of coming to a big name shop to look for a bewitching swimsuit, then gain the favor of His Majesty. He knows your type, *shameless wretch*. You either say it’s a misunderstanding, say he has a limited vocabulary, or say his impressions are way too awful.

Aizen yells at you to repent and says he’ll burn you to ashes. Sitri tries to calm him down and says you’re fine. Aizen tries to argue but relents. Arachne then comments that you really do know a lot of different people.

Azathoth shows up next to laugh about you and love flags, then advises you to check your best friend’s info or else it’s the murder knife for you. Harlot greets you after that and comments on the unusual combination of people around. Arc greets you and asks if you’re looking for a swimsuit too.

You either greet Arc back, ask if they’re out shopping as a family, or ask where Surtr is. Surtr is not that far away weighing some options between some relaxing trunks or some speedos. On one hand, speedos aren’t that different from what he already wears. On the other hand, *how can anyone not show off all their toned muscles?* Arc points him out and says he’s been thinking so hard he’s been shooting fire out of his head.

Harlot sighs about being made to wait over shopping and is exasperated at how much time is eaten up by his indecision. Azathoth suggests sticking a timer on when it comes to making a choice, and not choosing before time’s up leads to a bad ending.

Arachne sighs a little over everyone’s problems, then decides to help everyone out all at once. She tells everyone to line up so she can make them all fabulous, then somehow changes Sitri, Aizen, Gullinbursti, and Surtr in no time.

Gullinbursti is pleasantly surprised at how tight fitting his swimsuit is. Sitri is a little embarrassed but happy, asking if he’s a manly man like you, or maybe Kengo. Surtr talks about how breathable and comfortable his is, and how his glutes, abs, and pecs are on fire. Aizen is ambivalent yelling shameless yet not shameless. You can then compliment Gullinbursti, say Sitri is cute, or say Surtr is cool.

In A Gullinbursti is happy and says he feels like he can take down a hundred giants. He then asks if you want to go fight in the mountains or the beach. In B Sitri is embarrassed and says you should be calling him cool as he swears to show that side of himself. In C Surtr is so happy that he says he could burn down the heat wave. Harlot then talks to him and asks if he liked the taste of the forbidden fruit, then offers to make dinner tonight that’ll make him so fat he can’t wear that swimsuit anymore. Surtr calms down and says they’ll look for her swimsuit next, then begs her not to use that large sugar syrup again.

In any case Aizen glares at you and warns you that he doesn’t want to hear any compliments from you, though you interrupt to say you see Ophion. This throws him off his groove for a bit as he tries to figure out whether he wants to be seen in such a shameless™ outfit or not. Aizen eventually decides this must be a trick when Ophion yells about seeing you as he flies down from the sky.

Ophion does a bit of touching up his grooming before he sets down, making no acknowledgement of Aizen’s existence. Hakumen greets Ophion as lizard and asks if he’d like a dozen of her first class ochazuke bowls. Arachne in shock asks her to not sell strange things in her store all of a sudden. Ophion calls Hakumen a vixen and challenges her by offering to pay her asking price. Arachne freaks out about that and asks them to not pick a fight in her store.

You can ask Ophion if his swimsuit was done by Arachne, say it’s really sexy, or say it’s excellent and call him your husband. He laughs and says it is, then says your praise is his alone. He’s normally not one to care for such menial handiwork, but there was just something about it that drew him in. So because of that he has one order made. He says anything he’d wear would have to be world class naturally, but he feels he does have to give praise for it.

Arachne thanks Ophion after a beat. Ophion comments that her work has a lingering scent from Olympus, then comments on her being here after running from Cronus’s family. He then decides to give her the honor of answering his question and asks if Tokyo is her paradise.

Ophion’s way of speaking reminds Arachne of the Olympian gods and she says she doesn’t like having to remember them. Having said that, she does answer and says she thinks it’s a good place. At the very least there’s freedom to wear what you want. Ophion laughs and says he doesn’t mind Arachne’s rudeness, then tells her to set her business up in Roppongi.

Arachne thanks him for that and says his swimsuit looks good and free. Anyways now that you guys have checked out the shop Arachne suggests going to the next place on the list. She also tells Tsathoggua and the others that it’s okay for them to close the shop whenever they feel ready. Hakumen says she doesn’t need to worry about them and tells her to focus on her market research. She can handle things here.

Arachne thanks her and then leaves with you. Ophion orders Aizen to help with some preparations for a party or something meant for you. Aizen is conflicted about this but agrees to go, then tells Sitri he’ll see him later. Sitri responds in kind and considers inviting Kengo to a water park.

Surtr starts talking about going to a pool next, and Azathoth laughs about it being a standard for games to have limited swimsuit characters for summer events. Harlot thinks going to see pigs in their swimsuits could be quaint, and Arc agrees with going to the pool as she tells everyone to be careful of heatstroke.

Gullinbursti comes back down to Earth after having his head in the clouds/Valhalla over how happy he was over his swimsuit. Then he realizes you aren’t there and starts yelling over where you are before running off.

Motosumi and Takemaru come by as Xolotl greets them. Motosumi says he’s looking for a swimsuit for himself and for his kids. Takemaru says he’s excited for how summer will turn out this year and suggests going to the beach later. Motosumi thinks it will be okay and agrees, though he asks for it to be a surprise for them.

Scene shifts to Kasai Coastal Park as Arachne connects summer to the beach to swimsuits. You comment on you guys being here or how nice the ocean breeze is. Either way Arachne says her designs are becoming the main summer conversation topics she tells you Suzuka and the others have a good stall or something set up, so you guys should go there for a break while researching.

Arachne then points out her swimsuit design is already getting all the looks on the beach as Wakan Tanka is being mobbed by a bunch of randos. One is calling him cool, one is inviting him to lunch, one asks him to look at her, and one asks him to hang out with her. Wakan Tanka thanks them all and says he’s happy to be with them.

As all this happens, one of the Yoyogi jocks also there starts running up to you in a sobbing wreck. That turns out to be Ashigara, who asks through his tears why isn’t he popular. Arachne is shocked by his sudden appearance. You either express surprise, try to calm him down, or say he has you.

In any case, he keeps crying. Arachne then recognizes him and says she can’t understand him when he’s just crying like that. Most of the other Yoyogi students run up after. You say you know mostly what’s going on but ask them for an explanation and for help comforting Ashigara.

Daisuke says they came to the beach since it’s summer when Wakan suddenly put on his swimsuit. Gunzou says Ashigara tried starting a popularity contest when he saw how he was getting so much attention. Durga says he couldn’t swing it and has obviously lost that battle.

Arachne says that’s awful and says she can have their outfits done in just a bit longer. Ashigara cheers up immediately, and Durga asks what her swimsuit is like. Arachne says it’s a work in progress and that she’s arranged for a new delivery of materials. She also says it’ll suit Durga’s fur pattern, so she’s sure it’ll fit her the best in the world. Durga’s happy she understands that about her.

Arachne then asks where Kyuuma is since she made him something. Durga says he should be back from his lap soon when she sees him and points him out. Avarga tells him to yell for the last spurt, and Kyuuma does so. You say he’s gotten cooler or comment on him getting new clothes made.

Kyuuma greets the two of you and thanks Arachne for making something for him despite how busy she is. Avarga tacks on his thanks too. Kyuuma then mentions that when he wears the new outfit people seem to like it. No one used to initiate talks much, but now he feels a bit more confident about getting popular.

Gunzou calls Kyuuma a jerk for leaving him out like this, and Ashigara agrees. Daisuke then tries to talk to Arachne about the thing he asked her for the other day. She says okay and will renew his order or whatever in secret. Pros have to be tight lipped, so she asks him to relax and wait. You ask what they’re talking about, and Daisuke claims it’s nothing. He’s sure you’ll be able to see it one day though, so look forward to it.

Mineaki is there and asks Arachne how she’s feeling. She thanks him for the other day and says she’s fine. Avarga advises her not to push herself too much, and Arachne says it’ll be okay. If it comes to it, you and Tsathoggua will stop her. You either tell her health management is part of her job or tell her to take it easy.

Either way Arachne says it was a joke, and that she plans on understanding herself better, even if by a little bit. She also remembers something and tells the teachers she’s sent a track suit design for Yoyogi and asks them to look at it later. Mineaki says she seems busy and that they don’t mind waiting for later.

Arachne says she’s greedy about getting whatever she can done, but she’ll be careful not to make mistakes. Average still reminds her to take care of herself. Since she’s about to go Avarga tells everyone to come say goodbye.

Wakan notices everyone loudly saying thanks to Arachne and runs on over, bowing with a slight look of discomfort on his face. He apologizes to you two for being late, but Arachne waves it off as an effect from the clothes she made for him. Speaking of, she asks him if he’s actually set up that date yet.

Wakan says he hasn’t yet, but when the time comes he’ll come get you. You either suggest you guys go play somewhere for starters, say you’ll be expecting him to ask you out, or be a bit taken aback and ask him not to force it. He looks you in the eyes and nods, which is where the episode part ends.

Seaside Fashionista Epilogue Part 1

Narration starts by talking about how Tokyo has been taken by storm, or at least a part of it, over talk about Arachne. Little by little her brand is expanding into the city.

Title card pops up, and the epilogue is titled A Summer Night’s Dream.

Narration then picks back up with you waiting at the station as Arachne has asked to meet with you there, and the sun is shining down strong when the sound of heels approaches with Arachne looking invigorated. She greets you and comments on you being sweaty, then apologizes for making you wait since you got there first.

You greet her back and comment on the heat, then ask if she stayed up all night again. She cops to it saying she was changing out the lineup in her store, saying she couldn’t turn down a request from a friend. Arachne then mentions she bought breakfast again today and suggests getting to work once you guys eat. The plan for the day is to do market research. And by that she means asking everyone who wore her clothes about how happy they are with it.

You respond by mimicking Tsathoggua’s speech pattern and either say that’s not research, call it her hobby, or say you’re going back home to bed. Whichever way you go Arachne tells you to stop that and says Tsathoggua is actually working today. Then she asks you to help carry some things as she hands you a wrapped package of clothes.

Arachne says they’re filled with men’s clothes and other things, then asks you to not let them crease. You either demand to know how research figures into this and/or tell her she’s not explaining it well enough again. She apologizes for that in surprise, then tells you that the research place and the delivery place is the same, so she might as well do both at once. Then she prompts you to come along.

Scene then shifts to Daikanyama as Zabaniya is conducting a ceremony, and you and Arachne happen to come in right as the vows are being made. Zabaniya seems a bit nervous, yet there is still a hint of calm in his expression.

Arachne says you guys made it just in time and is glad about that. The Missionaries come over to talk, and Azazel says you guys should enjoy watching Zabaniya’s first ceremony. The way he says it makes Arachne think it seems distinctly un-priestlike but wonders if she’s imagining it.

Arslan thanks Arachne for everything and says Zabaniya should feel the same way. He also referred to her with -dono, which she asks he stop with. Arachne then says she should be thanking them instead if anything, especially for the recommendation Arslan put in that helped her get the swimsuit show on.

Maria says wants to thank Arachne too and believes that Zabaniya is happy. Arachne says she was just being selfish and couldn’t bring herself to leave Zabaniya’s Shadow where it was. Then she says she was allowed to do some great work. Gabriel says it’s fine to be selfish since idols are mostly the same, then starts talking about how selfishness can mean living as yourself.

You either comment about that meaning, point out that Gabriel is more of a welcomer, or say she’s surprisingly knowledgeable. In any case Arachne acknowledges the point and says Gabriel has a way with words to make people believe. Gabriel gently refutes the point and says words are hard, which is probably the same for Shadows.

Arachne then changes the subject to ask if Gabriel has any requests for her next stage outfit for her upcoming fall concert. Gabriel wants something Halloween-y and hopes for something novel or striking. Arachne says she’ll be sure to make something unique for her then.

Zabaniya walks up at this point to tell Arslan the ceremony is done and to greet Arachne, then you. Arachne initially calls Zabaniya Armpit before correcting herself and complementing how he looks. She does add that his bondage clothes look good too.

Zabaniya thanks her and says he’s learned a lot through this. He turns to you next and thanks you for helping him unlock some of his shackles again. You tell him that there’s no need to bind himself, say there is something attractive about abstinence, or say you want to see more of him.

Going C if it matters, he says he’s still not mentally prepared for that, but if he ever gains the same courage you have, maybe he can conquer the same skies or something. It’s a thought he’s always had. In any case Arachne says you two will be going to Kamata next since she needs to see if her suit is working out right on the job.

Arslan comments on how busy Arachne is and wonders if this is one of those cases where a popular figure gets no rest. Maria tells her to be careful not to push herself too hard. Gabriel says being popular is tough, but tells Arachne to smile and says she’ll cheer for her.

Azazel passes on a message from the other angels: “please reign yourself in, hooligan.” Arachne can’t make that promise but says she’ll help with the volunteer work for sure. Zabaniya then says he’ll be wishing for Arachne’s health and success. Arachne thanks him, then suggests that you two head over now then to Kamata.

Scene shifts over to a lecture hall at Kamata as all the attendees are paying rapt attention to the presentation going on, getting steadily excited over the subject. Amatsumara is talking about Dark Matter and its makeup, based on research logs and studies.

As already known, Dark Matter holds ‘information’ inside itself and doesn’t let it escape. It can hold electrons, photons, things that oscillate and have wave motions, all the way to memories. It’s possible to see these memories through dreams, though narration cuts off Amatsumara’s lecture there to focus on him. Despite having been wearing it for a while he doesn’t seem tired at all.

Just like Tsathoggua’s suit the fitting gives the wearer comfort so as to not add stress. Kurogane is glad the suit was done in time for the conference and feels it’s helping Amatsumara keep calm. Takemaru agrees and says it not tearing while he’s lecturing must help too. He also comments that Amatsumara likes it since he can take it off whenever to show off his muscles.

Arachne comments that the stripping function adds some balance to the lecture, and that pursuing knowledge can help make muscles more important. All that is Arachne’s take on what Amatsumara’s fashion is, the sums it up as having a strong impact makes things easier to remember. She then mentions there being another customer there.

You ask who she means. Amatsumara’s lecture has apparently ended by this point as Kurogane says the next person is up, who he notes is a searcher. This turns out to be Aegir, and he initially says he’ll be talking about sunken ship treasure hunting before correcting to oceanic investigation reports. He brings up some field work he was doing in an overworld shift that appeared in Tokyo Bay before narration cuts him off as Amatsumara approaches, smiling.

You either greet him as Professor Amatsumara and say he looked cool or call him gramps and say he looks good in his suit. Either way he laughs and says dressing up once in a while isn’t bad. Also people have been receiving him more favorably when he goes around outside.

Arachne congratulates him on his work and says he looks good as a teacher. Amatsumara says he was able to wave around his pointer as hard as he could, thanks to the suit, which he thanks her for. He says Aegir has been in a good mood too, glad that his suit won’t tear if he sticks his chest out or move his arms. Arachne asks him to take care of the suit so that it’ll last for a long time, since it is pretty hard to make suits for buff people.

Kurogane asks Arachne if she’ll make something for him, and he’s hoping for easy to clean work clothes. He then turns to you and invites you to join him in getting some clothes made. Might as well have it together with the strengthening of your sword.

Takemaru is considering getting a suit done despite being in one now since sometimes he goes with Amatsumara to some formal places. Amatsumara asks if they like Arachne’s stuff so much and says something about her new stuff from the other day. Takemaru tries to shut him up since it’s still a secret from you.

Amatsumara comments on him trying to be more grown up and advises him to be bolder then. Takemaru protests he’s not mentally ready for that. Aegir then walks over to ask why you’re all still there since the conference is over. But if this is discussions about a party then he wants in on it. You either tell him he did go on his lecture, be kind of surprised he’s doing the professor job properly, or say a man of the sea in a suit is hot.

Going A, Aegir notices you and asks if you think his suit looks good, then jokes about holding you and carrying you off to his ship. Anyways Arachne interrupts to say she came to ask for their thoughts on the suits and is glad they like it.

Aegir notices Arachne now too and says the suit’s great. She’s a little flustered at how direct he was about complimenting it before reminding herself to keep it together since she’d rather not be thought of as a pushover.

Anyways, Arachne asks if Aegir thought about something they talked about the other day. Turns out Arachne has asked him about finding new materials next time he does field work. If possible she’d like for him to take it directly to her, and she offers him the best, newest clothes to him at a special rate. He’s surprised she’s asking him for money too, but doesn’t mind and finds it funny. He promises he will.

Arachne then asks if Hephaestus is around since she wants to thank him for his part in looking after her. Kurogane says he disappeared as soon as he heard Arachne was coming since he didn’t want to see her. Takemaru apologizes for him and says he’s really really shy. He’s a good guy deep down though, so he asks her to not hate him.

Arachne says she knows, so she asks them to pass on her thanks for her. Kurogane agrees, so Arachne thanks him too and says you two should get going. You either ask where you’ll be going next or comment on how hard it is to be popular.

Before she can answer, Arachne’s phone starts ringing. It turns out to be Tsathoggua, who begs you guys to come back to the shop to help since he’s feeling embarrassed as all hell. Someone over there is asking him about being a model which he tries to deny, and he ends the call repeating his call for help. Arachne says you guys should go back then.

Arachne leaves by telling everyone good luck with their work. Hephaestus turns out to have been just out of sight and asks if she’s gone, then is sad you’re gone too. Kurogane says he might as well have shown himself if he’s going to be so sad about it otherwise. Hephaestus insists that he doesn’t want to see Arachne at all, so Takemaru asks why since there’s no apparent reason. It’s not like she hates him either.

Amatsumara says it’s nothing and says Hephaestus is just shy. Kurogane and Takemaru smile at that while Hephaestus tries to deny that. Amatsumara passes on Arachne’s thanks, though he adds he doesn’t know what happened over at the hospital. He figures it’s about Arachne having something Hephaestus doesn’t.

Hephaestus gets upset and says he did it because you asked him to. Amatsumara laughs about him being a mama’s boy and leaves it at that. Hephaestus tries to deny that too when Motosumi shows up looking for Takemaru since he’s late for their meeting. Takemaru apologizes for that, but Motosumi waves it off since it happened because his kids were jealous of Takemaru’s swimsuit.

Takemaru explains to the Crafters that he’s going to help Motosumi buy a swimsuit and invites Kurogane and Hephaestus along. Kurogane says he wants to go but already has plans. Hephaestus says he won’t and insists it’s because nothing he wears will look good on him. Takemaru doesn’t agree with the thought but leaves them to it as he goes with Motosumi.

Kurogane suggests they head back now since school’s over before noticing something with Hephaestus. He turns out to be upset that Takemaru would seriously say he’d look good in a swimsuit and says that’s why he doesn’t like him. Anyways he says he’s too tired from talking to people for the day and orders Talos to carry him on his back. And that’s where the episode part ends.

Seaside Fashionista Episode 6 Part 2

Narration starts describing the weather as clear and beautiful. It’s the last day of the Tokyo Mode Collection as a deep voice echoes at the Bonus Track stage. Gyumao does a mic test, then starts hosting the presentation and thanking everyone for coming.

You make a note about how Gyumao isn’t using business vocabulary and speaking differently than usual (namely he’s not using his Engrish). Arachne says it’d be shocking for non-business sector people otherwise. Gyumao prompts the audience to applaud the unveiling of a new talent, the up and coming Arachne.

The crowd cheers as their attention focuses on the stage, and Arachne walks up with a composed smile on her face. She gives her greetings to everyone watching and says she feels so lucky to show off her best creations. You tell her the leads are the models, ask her to bring them out already, and mention she’ll have her turn later.

Arachne says she knows, then turns back to the venue at large to introduce her special guest, Gabriel. Gabriel flies in from above and stokes everyone’s excitement, saying she came to visit because she was called by a highly recommended designer. She then anime clothes changes into her swimsuit and says to start the show.

Managarm is in the audience and says his instinct as a member of Gabriel’s fan club was right. He’s glad he kept an eye on the designer who made Gabriel’s clothes, then starts nerding out over Gabriel. Managarm also prompts Kalki to start shouting too.

As Gabriel sings, the stars of the show start appearing. Gyumao starts off by describing Wakan Tanka, talking about how he’s worked out for American football and the accompanying design for his swimsuit.

Narration talks about how he doesn’t seem to be showing off appearance wise at all. He’s just walking down the runway with a calm smile not trying to highlight any part of himself. Despite that, no one can look away, and he behaves as though he’s used to it. A couple of rando students think he’s cool and ask if he’s really a newbie and not a pro model.

Ashigara is there and observes that Wakan Tanka doesn’t seem nervous at all, but maybe that’s to be expected. Gunzou is having sympathy stage fright while Kyuuma attempts to calm him down. Durga thinks it’s cool how Wakan Tanka went out there, shows up first, then gets everyone’s attention.

Daisuke is sadly envious that Wakan can look so impressive without needing to put something over his face. Durga asks him about that, but he claims it’s nothing. Wakan Tanka starts thinking about how he starts remembering things when he wears Arachne’s clothes, like the things he doesn’t want to forget and the things he feels he should always carry. He’s thankful for having met Arachne and swears he’ll always remember it no matter what. He also thanks you for being why it happened.

As Wakan Tanka finishes his lap, Gyumao introduces Suzuka next, referring to this a surprise attack from Kabukicho. Suzuka apparently had a hand in her intro speech since Gyumao uses gangster slang and asks the audience to behold her free world cutting edge high school girl style.

As a contrast to how Wakan acted, Suzuka does all she can to assert her presence. The way she walks, the way she looks, it all oozes power. However, this isn’t her swaggering. This is her being elegant and graceful. Some maid says they like the clothes, then asks what free world even means. The governor doesn’t know but thinks it sounds cool.

Ibaraki cheers for Suzuka and tells her to glare more. Tetsugyuu wonders if Suzuka could make a living as a model. Tetsuya complains about Tsukuyomi flaking out at the last minute and how that changes things. He initially thinks about how they could have gotten Marchosias to drag him along before he changes it to Shino.

Tetsuya comments on being uncomfortable with bright, showy places, so Gyoubu says it’s fine once in a while. Then he says he should take pictures of Suzuka in her nicest clothes, which Tetsuya agrees to since he’s already there.

Suzuka thinks about how it’s fine to deal with things by force, but she is a little thrown off by all the attention. She then rallies herself saying she needs to show guts and thinking high school girls need to be on top of trends. She’s wearing something Arachne made, so she should show some passion.

Gabriel finishes her song around the point Suzuka leaves the stage, so the BGM changes. Gyumao then goes on to introduce Amatsumara, saying he’s his business partner before telling everyone to look at his body. Amatsumara walks out in heavy steps with his suit on. He’s not the least bit fazed by the audience’s surprised murmuring at this, then strips off to his swimsuit.

Amatsumara tells everyone to take a good look at his swimsuit, and narration says Arachne actually planned for the suit to be easy to strip off, which seems to be that other gimmick she talked about before and something Amatsumara would need for lessons. The crowd yells about the quick change being something of a performance. A merman is amazed while a mermaid is close to crushing on Amatsumara over his body.

Kurogane is impressed and wonders how Amatsumara’s whole suit is created. Takemaru comments that the suit fit him really well and considers asking Arachne to make a suit for him too after the show. The ones he has now are falling apart or something. Kurogane then considers asking for one too, though he is concerned about having the money to pay for it. Takemaru then offers to cover for him and advises him to save his money for his dreams, I think. Kurogane then asks him to not treat him like a kid.

Amatsumara is embarrassed by all the audience attention, but since he still has plans to get used to bodybuilding competitions he figures being a model will be a step towards that. He also thinks a bit about how he’s heard actors can’t stop if they do it for three days and wonders if it’s the same for models. He doesn’t really plan on sticking with it, but he’s not opposed to the idea.

Narration talks about how Amatsumara’s oddity surprises the audience and gets them to cheer. After he leaves there’s a moment of silence, which is when Zabaniya shows up next as narration compares him to an assassin. Gyumao talks about how Zabaniya works at Daikanyama, then tells everyone to have a look at his body and the swimsuit that goes best with it.

As Zabaniya gets onto the runway, he does a full on 90 degree bowing and greeting, which narration says should be impossible. He then starts walking down the runway as he practiced so hard at, and his swimsuit draws even more attention to himself.

Some pirate (I think it’s him?) asks if he really did a bow like that and wonders if it’s an act. Some mage swoons and thinks that bow was cute and calls Zabaniya hot. Arslan starts laughing about what Zabaniya did, but Maria tells him to stop since she’s sure that’s Arachne’s idea. She then points out that Gabriel doesn’t seem fazed at all.

Gabriel turns out to be keeping up her poker face as she too is internally surprised. In her thoughts she says she didn’t see anything about the bowing in the plans she was shown. Arslan still somehow sees through it but figures Gabriel’s idol work means she’s good at hiding it. Maria then asks in shock if Zabaniya just ad libbed the bow on the spot. Arslan says it’s a good thing either way since it’s Zabaniya’s model debut.

We then tune into Zabaniya’s thoughts where it turns out the bow was a total mistake that he beats himself up over. He sees it as his inexperience showing and finds it embarrassing, though he reminds himself this is supposed to be atonement on his part to clear up his sins as he thinks of you and Arslan.

After Zabaniya’s turn is done, Gyumao says there’s one last showing, which will be three people: Arachne, Tsathoggua, and you. When Tsathoggua shows himself the mood and murmuring from the crowd changes. Arachne doesn’t seem to take any interest in that as she walks in between you two. Tsathoggua is looking down a little, while you can either go at it boldly or with embarrassment too.

Tsathoggua’s nerves are getting to him as he feels that the audience is confused by his being there, and he thinks he shouldn’t have did this after all. He worries about looking lame next to you and Arachne. Arachne however whispers you should all start walking with your chests puffed up.

Arachne says that even if the world laughs at you all, she’ll still try to shut it down with her pride. She then says you guys look fabulous, which leaves Tsathoggua speechless. Arachne then talks about how it’s thanks to you two that she can finally see, that she understands where she is. She wanted to be accepted by the world, yet she believed it never would. She was always afraid that she’d be laughed at and denied.

You notice that Arachne is shaking and ask if she’s also afraid. She admits that she always was, even when she was fronting her haughtiness. Even when she acted strong, she always had doubts deep within herself. But now she understands her punishment, the fear she held alone that someone somewhere would be sneering at her.

Arachne then says she’s not alone anymore, as she has two people here with her who believe in her. Tsathoggua seems touched, and you turn to him and act a bit prouder. He says he understands, and the audience notices and comments on him steadily getting cooler.

They also start recognizing him from the white suit pic circulating. Apparently Tsathoggua was nicknamed the Body Prince or something because of it, and they’re getting mindblown at the idea of seeing him in person. There’s also comments about the one next to him looking better too.

Tsathoggua starts smiling, and Arachne takes a mic as she walks. She thanks everyone for coming to the show, then says there’s something she wants to say to everyone. She calls herself a genius at making clothes, able to make anything with her hands. It is however based on the assumption that it will look good on the wearer.

No matter what fads may be going on, there’s going to be stuff that looks good, and stuff that won’t. She’s taken that into account when she made the swimsuits and asks everyone to get a good look at them as everyone lines up on stage again.

Arachne asks rhetorically about whether the clothes suit all the models despite their differences in body types and race. She says she started believing that clothes will become a part of a person when it comes to bringing out their hidden charm and coolness, then proclaims that to be her fashion brand.

Arachne wants everyone’s fashions to shine brightly, no matter the current trends. Trends are in the end just things that will lead you astray. Fashion on the other hand would be the proof of the shadow you hold within and unconcealable way of life. So her clothes would be the first time her fashion and everyone else’s fashions would interconnect with each other.

Arachne says she just has one thing she wants to get across as a designer. She says people may be hiding something, whether it be their ugly side, their weakness, or their fears thereof. And maybe people might not even notice any of this. But she says that’s still an irreplaceable part of themselves, no matter how afraid of it or how terrible they may think it is.

Arachne says it’s fine if people chose to show it, keep hiding it, or not pick up on it. But if people ever want to change and try to go somewhere else, she’ll make clothes for that reason, the clothes that will best show off those hidden parts. Arachne then loudly proclaims that she’s a true fashionista and mentions her passion for Shadows.

The crowd cheers loudly for Arachne’s speech, and narration questions how many people understood her thoughts. Maybe more than half of them will forget after the day is over. But there should be people who have picked up on what she was saying.

Amatsumara comments on the answer that Arachne has come to and says she seems to have broken through her doubts. Suzuka says Arachne will be going all the way with her conviction, and that she was moved by what she said.

Zabaniya mulls over Arachne talking about clothes being tied to one’s way of living and how changing one can change the other. Wakan Tanka adds that when one wants to change the clothes will help. Tsathoggua says no one seems to have made fun of him for his swimsuit and that noncasual clothes are nice every once in a while.

You tell Tsathoggua he was cool or cute out there. He laughs and says you look good too. Arachne then tells the party to stand up front one more time for a greeting, and the crowd claps for everyone as Arachne names them again.

You comment that it’d be nice if Arachne got her point across, wonder if she said everything she wanted to say, or wonder if she discovered her dream. Arachne thanks you and says it’s all due to you. She swears to one day fulfill her dream with her own hands. Gyumao then says this is the end of the Bonus Track and asks for one more round of applause for everyone.

Narration says the applause and cheering isn’t just a celebration for the event’s success. It’s also a celebration for the birth of a new designer, Arachne. And so the curtain falls on another summer battle and the episode ends, to be continued in the epilogue.

Seaside Fashionista Episode 6 Part 1

Title card pops up right away, and as per Housamo tradition the title for this chapter is the event’s name, Seaside Fashionista.

Camera then tunes into Arachne’s (cannot even be described as barely clean) room as she’s suddenly yelling over the design sketches she’s been working over for half the day until her eyes have gone bloodshot. You suggest she have some tea if she’s feeling stuck. She turns to you and asks you to listen to her as she brings up her genius.

You ask if it’s expanding or if it’s crumbling. Going A, she yells yes and that the ideas just keep coming to her. She is a little worried with how severe the schedule is looking, but thanks to your phone calls the models have been lined up without issue. And thanks to the measuring battles she’s already done she can see the lines that would best suit them.

She can just get to cutting and sewing without distractions, if not for her inability to pick something. She’s sure that whatever she does go with will turn out to be a masterpiece, but everything she looks at looks wrong for one reason or another. You suggest she go back to the original intention and ask her what this year’s theme is.

Arachne answers that the theme is cultural exchange. It’s not just about harmony nor is it about reconciliation. She frames it as not coloring someone not being colored by someone. From you to her, from her to someone else, different cultures interact and form a momentary world.

Whether it be sports clothes with endurance able to handle any intense action, clothes for a marriage ceremony with a touch of gorgeous courtesy, or an eye catching suit made for hospitality, all of those things can be put into clothes through cultural influences. Arachne asserts that clothes is the exchange point for cultures.

Arachne then reluctantly admits that Gyumao was right and the way she was before would never have been able to express the theme right. But now she can after getting hints from everyone she interacted with over the course of the event. You ask her if she’s figured something out, so she says it’s her contradiction and her weakness she hid behind her pride.

Arachne talks about how she wanted to be accepted by the world but was resigned to it never happening. Her Shadow came about as her way of resisting the denial, disdain, and scorn, and since she always looked away from it she was always irritated. But now she understands. Now she can face it.

Arachne says even she has a dark shadow inside her, just like Wakan Tanka. She has conflicting thoughts inside her, just like Zabaniya. And she has expectations she wants to meet, just like Suzuka. Then there’s you, Tsathoggua, and Amatsumara, who have all noticed this and helped her to see it. Since she pushed everyone around with her haughtiness, she has to go look at herself right in the eye. That’s who she is.

Arachne says her self and her fashion is something she has to create on her own. In which case...Arachne says she’s made a decision on what direction to take it. Arachne then asks you to call everyone over for one last measuring battle, which she says will launch an attack on the TMC’s Bonus Track.

Scene shifts as time skips to the point where you meet everyone at the event area. Wakan Tanka says he’ll help of course Arachne if she needs it. She helped give him a way to understand the pain inside himself when it comes to you. He hopes to make it a great fashion show.

Zabaniya says he was surprised when he heard the talk about him being a model. Then again you were the one who taught him a new way of understanding things. He probably wouldn’t have found it on his own, so he agrees to help since this could also spark something new for him. That said he does ask for a calming design if possible.

Suzuka talks about how the Kabukicho folks always pay their debts, and she owes you for a lot. Her helping you out here won’t be enough to balance it all out. Suzuka also decides to warn you of something, just in case: i-it’s not like she wants to wear Arachne’s clothes or anything!

Amatsumara is surprised at the idea of having an old man like him be a swimsuit model too, but he finds the idea gutsy. He agrees to go along with it and says he’ll make it flashy.

Narration says that everyone has agreed to do this, though there is one person there who looks sullen. That turns out to be Tsathoggua, who feels he can’t be a model. You either say you want to see him in a swimsuit, say it’s only a little less clothing than what he normally wears, or comment about his chubby body.

Tsathoggua tries to insist he can’t do it and that the very idea of him being a swimsuit model is crazy. Arachne seems surprised and asks him why he thinks so. He says he’s the exact opposite of most models. No matter how good Arachne’s swimsuit would be he feels he just can’t do it.

Arachne proclaims that belief to be nonsensical. She says it’s because he’s here that she can adhere to the theme of the event, which Tsathoggua asks about. Arachne explains the theme and says she’s given it some thought. From what she concluded, she needs Tsathoggua to be there to do it right.

Arachne then talks about the future of her fashion. She does partly mean it in terms of the show, but since she wants to challenge herself ‘again’ she wants Tsathoggua to help her. He doesn’t answer at first, so you ask him to help too.

Tsathoggua then decides to ask what she would do if he were to say no. Arachne says she’ll look for someone else, though she’s not sure she can pull that off. Tsathoggua doesn’t want her to do that because she’ll really hurt herself this time, so he agrees to help a bit more.

Tsathoggua says he’s a hardcore NEET so he hates working. But he also hates seeing his friends overwork themselves to the point of collapsing just as much. He’ll set his own things aside for now, but he plans on loafing about for about a century once this is all over. Arachne thanks him, and you can thank him too and suggest working hard together. Alternatively you can also say you love him.

Going C, Tsathoggua is a bit surprised and says you’re bold. He says he loves you too. In any case Wakan Tanka brings up the measuring battle and asks if that’s about to happen. Suzuka says she doesn’t mind doing it again but warns she might heat up even further. Zabaniya asks if it’s really going to be all of them against Arachne.

Arachne says that would be the case since she’ll have to teach them about modeling. She does admit it’s a bit much to do that all by herself, so she asks you to help fight with her as support. You say this will be the last battle, say it’ll be done perfectly, or say you’re fashion blind.

Arachne says you don’t need to get worked up as you are also one of her materials. You’re important for this show, so she asks you to be sure to help her. Then she starts the episode battle saying she’ll be going all in. The story continues after.

After the battle the story picks up midway as Arachne talks about how great everyone’s Shadows are. She also talks about how great it feels the Shadow threads take shape as it comes through the space between fantasy and reality.

Wakan Tanka has no idea what it is Arachne is talking about but is happy for her. Suzuka notes that Arachne is getting sharper and challenges her to keep up as she kicks it up a notch herself. Narration then describes Arachne’s thread flying around like silver rain.

Tsathoggua is surprised and asks if Arachne was always that strong since she’s holding up so well against five people. Zabaniya notes it’s not just that you’re supporting her, and Amatsumara is impressed saying it’s not like how she was the first time he fought her.

Arachne continues spinning patterns that only she can see, as always ever in pursuit of the brilliance she wishes to express. She starts talking about how she can see the greatest stage, then about how a profound contradiction will at some point tear dreams and reality apart. The space between the two is where a Shadow is buried, and bringing charm to that shadow is what her fashion is all about.

A flash hits Arachne as she gets her mental image of what to do. You ask her if she’s ready, so she asks you who you think she is. She boasts about being a super high school elite level fashion designer and a genius. She then pulls out her phone as she smiles.

She tells everyone she’s already gotten the swimsuits designed and gets ready to show them. Suzuka asks her what the point of the battle is, and Tsathoggua is on disbelief they fought if there wasn’t a need for it. Arachne says there was because she was stuck on how she wanted to handle everyone’s outfits. So once she had the battle she settled on what she wanted.

Arachne also says that the battle was for teaching them how to move like models. It’s not like Amatsumara could have gotten up on stage as he was already, and she figured it was faster than explaining it verbally. Amatsumara laughs and says he kinda likes that method of understanding. Zabaniya says that on second thought, the movements did seem more like choreography than battle movements.

Arachne says that’s what it was and moves on to showing them the swimsuits. Zabaniya and Tsathoggua seem surprised, while everyone else are clearer about liking the designs. Arachne asks if they were that moved by what they saw, then turns to you to ask what you think about her swimsuits. When you see, you ask if everyone can actually wear them.

Zabaniya says he was somewhat prepared, but this is still more than what he was expecting. Still, he proclaims he’s ready to see it through to the end. Suzuka seems hesistant but says it’s good because that’s what high school girls nowadays have to do.

Amatsumara laughs about the proposed swimsuit and thinks it’s a bold idea to have him wear it. He swears he’ll show he’s still got it to keep up with his students. Tsathoggua thinks it’s really bold and thinks it’s probably too late to ask for a redesign. He then asks for seconds of the honey drinks to get himself ready to do this.

Wakan Tanka says he’ll happily wear whatever it is Arachne has if she’s picking it out for him. He swears to run as hard as he can on the grounds known as the runway. Arachne nods at all this and starts making a phone call to Gyumao saying everything is ready, so the swimsuit show can go as planned. She also says she’ll send him an email with the details since it’ll be busy up until the last day for her.

Once the call is done she turns to everyone and says there’s not much time left. She then starts having everyone rehearse their movements, telling them to be ready since she’ll be strict with the directing. You turn to everyone and say you should all work hard on it.

Narration talks about how Arachne cheers you all on. There’s a mix of cheerful, consenting, and resigned reactions, and Arachne goes on with her instructions again. The episode part ends as narration skips to the day of the show for everyone’s debut.

Seaside Fashionista Episode 5 Part 3

Narration starts by talking about how you take Arachne to her room which it says can charitably be described as a pig sty. She freaks out about you seeing it and claims she normally keeps it tidy, but all the seasonal work for the events and measuring battles meant that she let it slip by her. You point out that this isn’t just a week’s worth of messes, say it might be equal to Tsathoggua’s mess, or say it sure does get attention.

Whichever way you respond, she yells in shame and says it’s like being stabbed with a needle right in the heart. She starts feeling faint and sits where she is with a self-deprecating smile. Arachne then comments on how this much activity seems like a bit much for her at the moment, then asks how long she slept at the hospital. You tell her she should rest now, ask if she’s hungry, and tell her to forget about work.

Arachne tries to refuse, saying there isn’t time for that as she feels her work for the event is more important than her health. But even as she says that she can’t bring herself to move. She then apologizes for being selfish and says she knows. Arachne then moves to a chair to sit in and buries her face in her hands, speaking in a pained voice.

Arachne says she heard what Hephaestus was talking about and how he called her an idiot genius. She has a little laugh about how awful his speaking style is, but admits he might have a point.

Arachne starts talking about how an image of her model’s Shadow comes to her when she’s making clothes. She explains that this Shadow is something like her model’s hidden charm, and by doing a measuring battle she can materialize it. When she sees through to the Shadow, she makes something that can display all of that person’s charm. But no one was ever pleased by it.

You ask Arachne if she’s talking about the people who exiled her. She doesn’t immediately answer, but she talks about how, like Hephaestus has said, she wasn’t born this way. She was changed to this form in her home world before she came to Tokyo.

Arachne mentions that the System of Olympus is predicated upon the idea that ones at the top of its hierarchy are infallible, which is why the world shines perfectly like gold. When she presented them her work, she ended up like this.

She says she only used her power, that she just drew out the charm of their imperfections. It should have been perfect, but she figures they didn’t like it. Arachne starts talking about how that it her enemy and is why she always worked so hard to win against it. You question or comment on it, which she reaffirms and says is why she made an enemy of the world.

She then asks you what’s wrong, so you ask her why she’s doing that. Does she enjoy it? She’s shocked by the question, then tries to apologize for her reaction because she’s never been asked that question. She says there’s no way it could be enjoyable as she looks into your eyes and sees her reflection.

Arachne sighs and says she shouldn’t lie to herself. You look at her with concern, but she says it’s okay. She talks about how the rulers of Olympus are not here, so the way she kept up with her stubbornness? It *is* fun.

Arachne then starts talking about how she didn’t want to be recognized and accepted by the world. And yet, she still did want that. She enjoyed acting like an unnatural genius, but it irritated her. She pushed things aside, and yet she wanted them. Arachne then says she might have gotten mentally stuck with fighting an enemy that isn’t there over doing what she preferred to do.

She says it’s all laughable, then asks if you think so too. You either nod or shake. Arachne laughs in either case, but admits that it’s just like everyone’s said up until now. This is her Shadow, her distortion, her true self.

Arachne claps her hands against her cheeks and greets her awful helpless self, mentioning she’s always had the wrong enemy. Then she thanks you. Arachne says she’s glad she came to Tokyo, and that she’s glad she met you and everyone else. You say the same goes for you. You’re glad to have met Arachne and you like this city.

Arachne says she feels like she’s taken a load off her shoulders, but says it’s not like she doesn’t have enemies here. She says it’s something she thought about in regards to Tokyo, about how people have lost sight of their shadows in another sense of the word. She thinks their Shadows are great, so it’s kind of a waste.

You ask her what she means by that. Arachne says it *is* partly about their hidden charm like it was with Wakan Tanka, Zabaniya, and Suzuka, but it’s more about how most people don’t even know about their Shadows being cut away from them. You still don’t understand and say it’s been a while since you’ve felt that way, or you just stay quiet.

In any case Arachne remembers something she heard something from a DJ she saw in a club one time and quotes Nyarlathotep talking about how everyone in the city is separated from their Shadow and calls them all lost sheep for not noticing.

As he kept babbling, she saw a multitude of Shadows behind him cackling in the face of her common sense. A lot of her stuff in the store was inspired from that time. You either ask about that, ask if that DJ has an odd speaking pattern, or ask her about your Shadow.

Going C, Arachne says she hasn’t gotten a clear grip on it yet. She can tell it’s a collection of small Shadow fragments and gets the feeling it can’t be expressed in the third dimension. If there is a way to make that fashion into reality...Arachne decides to stop talking about it.

Anyways, Arachne starts whining about all the things she has to do, but she corrects that to be all the things she wants to do. She starts walking unsteadily to the relatively cleaner part of her room, then says it seems like she won’t be able to get Gyumao’s approval at this rate anymore. She can’t make it in time for the fashion show and admits her inexperience.

Arachne apologizes to you and says you can stop helping her at this point. She feels like she grew a little thanks to you. Once she recovers she intends on contacting Gyumao since he did so much for her too. Then she’ll need to thank Tsathoggua too.

She collapses and goes straight to sleep, and her pent up sadness and loneliness crops to the top. You take out your phone to make a phone call as you leave Arachne’s room, trying not to wake her.

Time skips to Arachne going to Gyumao’s office. He greets her as she comes in and says he heard her talk about how she wasn’t managing her health well enough. Arachne says that was a mistaken button push, and that she was just busy with her needlework. She’s fine now, but she admits that she can’t hit her sales goal.

Arachne looks completely calm as she delivers the news, now that she’s rested and able to handle it. Gyumao notes that her sales are lower compared to other shops, so he can’t co-sign that investment for her. Arachne admits her lack of experience, and Gyumao says that she has an expression he’d hardly ever see from her.

Arachne doesn’t hear that remark and says she’ll be leaving if there’s nothing else to discuss. She says it’s been good for motivation and thanks Gyumao for things. As she turns to leave, Gyumao stops and invites her to talk about some new business. She’s surprised and ask what he means.

Gyumao talks about how sad the results were, but elsewhere Arachne’s work has been seen as being highly valuable. There’s a lot of comments on the net about wanting to see more of her fashion. Arachne asks if this is about the photos you posted. Gyumao says there’s also a lot of people asking for her to be accommodated, showing Arachne some (e?)mail he got.

Tsathoggua writes in saying he guarantees that Arachne’s clothes are the best in Tokyo. He vouches for her to be the star of the show and offers to help pay if it comes to it. Arachne is touched and asks why he’d do so when he complains about how much work anything is.

Mineaki’s message is next. He writes in to talk about how her clothes support sports and the students. He’s also writing in on behalf of the jocks and asks for some consideration to be taken. Additionally he’s sure that when the students turn pro athlete, they’ll publicize her clothes far and wide. Arachne comments on how good he is at sales promoting. She does pick up on him being a schemer but dismisses it as her imagination.

Arslan also wrote a message. He talks about how pioneer’s guidance and understanding is needed to open up the path for future prospects. In which case, she can probably make something work out. Arachne comments on him saying he thinks she has a future.

Gyoubu writes in about how nothing happens by chance and says he’s representing all of Kabukicho. He says it’s just a small note saying he supports her progression. Arachne is surprised even Gyoubu would write in on her behalf.

Amatsumara walks in and says she can probably do something great as she is now. He comments on her getting better health wise and says she shouldn’t have any problems with her work now. Arachne is about to ask him something when Amatsumara says she doesn’t really need his opinion. It’d be fine for her to be able to be in a show.

Arachne asks what he means by that. Gyumao sighs about Amatsumara spoiling the surprise. After some more confusion from Arachne he says it’s true she won’t make it in time for the standard show. But this time, there’s a special stage set up, which he calls a summer swimsuit show and the Tokyo Mode Collection’s Bonus Track.

It’ll be a week after the main show, so she should get her models by then. It’ll be a tight schedule, but he asks if she thinks she can swing it. Arachne puffs up her chest and asks who he thinks he’s talking to. She proclaims that she’s the best designer in the city and nothing is impossible, and she’ll prove it to him right now as she somehow blacks out the lights and turns on her music.

Both Gyumao and Amatsumara are shocked by this sudden development. Arachne laughs and says she brought her things just in case but didn’t expect them to help. Gyumao asks for an explanation. Arachne says if he’s concerned about the scheduling she’s going to get rid of his worries with her guerrilla fashion show. He’s shocked by this, especially since it seems like a lot of effort to show to just two people.

Arachne corrects him and says there’s only one viewer for this show: him. She starts the show, and she apparently has her own applause and cheer track on her. Anyways she describes how this is her fourth show and that it’s been days since the measuring battle. She hasn’t been just resting after all.

Gyumao asks if she already finished preparing her presentation. The spotlight Arachne somehow has focuses on Amatsumara, and he asks if this is a magic show in his bafflement. Arachne starts describing him and his burning artisan soul. She also talks about how he works out and trains his students.

Amatsumara takes in Arachne’s voice echoing out and the spotlight on him, then comes to the conclusion that this is a bodybuilding competition as he strips off. Arachne cuts the lights and says it’s a fashion show. She also asks him to not take off his clothes as he feels like. He awkwardly apologizes and says it just happened because he got excited.

Gyumao is taken aback and asks for the show to go on. Arachne apologizes and moves along with it as she turns the lights and music back on. Anyways Amatsumara is in his suit now as Arachne talks about him being an instructor as well as a smith. As a result he’ll need suits, but his muscles would then become a problem when it comes to wearing them.

As such, the cloth itself would have to be made into highly flexible fabric. In the end, this suit won’t tear even if Amatsumara is the one wearing it, and he can even make a fist and raise it in a school conference. Amatsumara laughs about how good it is and how it doesn’t tear no matter how far he stretches it. Arachne in shock asks him to not try to tear it up.

Anyways Arachne says there’s still one more gimmick to it, which should be apparent in the future. She concludes her show there and asks Gyumao what he thinks. He says it’s a good presentation and that he can go make an order without any reservations about it.

Amatsumara laughs and says he didn’t expect her to make his suit. Arachne says it’s only natural since she’s a designer. She prides herself on always completing her orders. Amatsumara then asks her what the deal is since he says he doesn’t remember asking her to make a suit.

Arachne says she went into a measuring battle without being fully prepared. Still, it felt like she was being tempered, guided during that battle. She got the impression of a teacher through that and a wish from the students to make it reality, which she then used as the form for it.

Arachne asks Amatsumara how the suit is and says it’s not just for lectures and conferences. It’s also able to keep him comfortable if he wears a suit for his family’s sake, which is what his students wanted. Amatsumara is touched they did that for him and calls his students adorable.

Arachne says she’ll redo things from here. She says she will embrace her distortions and live. Gyumao calls to his business partner and asks if this means he doesn’t need to worry about her, and you come out in response. She’s shocked to see you. You say that’s how she is and suggest you guys get a move on to get the models.

Arachne voices her surprise about you being here too, then asks if you vouched for her too. She quickly takes the question back and says she shouldn’t say something so low class. The both of you are fashionistas after all, and there’s no need for any words beyond that between you two. She suggests you guys get going without any breaks this coming week. You yell after her that she needs to rest properly as she walks out, and the episode ends as narration talks about her getting ready to meet things head on.

Seaside Fashionista Episode 5 Part 2

Things pick up midway through the battle as narration describes it as a beautiful scene with sparks flying like a smith is forging a sword. Every time Amatsumara swings, he exerts pressure with the wind he creates. Arachne, exhausted from battling over several days running, is unable to hold her ground against it or dodge it.

Amatsumara says he can’t hold back since Arachne challenged him, though he figures she wouldn’t want him to do so anyways. Takemaru and Kurogane have withdrawn from the battle earlier and are wiping themselves off as they watch the battle continue. Kurogane wonders how far Amatsumara will take this, especially since Arachne was running ragged before this started. You say you think Arachne can’t be stopped anymore.

Kurogane tries to reassure you that it’ll be okay since Amatsumara is dealing with this. Also, apparently the Crafters include fighting him as part of their workout routines. Takemaru says Amatsumara overdoes it at times but if it comes to it then he’ll step in, so he cheers Arachne to keep it up.

Arachne declares that she won’t lose and that she won’t surrender. She never gave in Back Then either after all, and she won’t stand for losing to people who cannot appreciate the unseen. Amatsumara laughs and says that’s how she should act. In the words of the creators, she should bare her soul and scream.

Narration questions whether it’s Amatsumara or Arachne whose Shadow is being measured. Arachne resists as hard as she can, taking on Amatsumara’s power directly. This is less a exercise on arts and more a clash of wills in a way. Arachne goes on about how she can’t lose while Amatsumara is surprised about her coming at him.

Narration describes Arachne as not using the graceful movements like cloth has, the delicacy of a needle, or the sharpness of scissors. She’s more striking with the force of tempered iron. As Amatsumara’s hammer forges her, Arachne’s needles measure out his limbs.

Arachne continues her ranting about her art and creativity and how she can’t lose, especially as it is her and not someone else adding flair to the Shadows that no one looks at. As she shouts, her pride surfaces. She swears to express and beautify all Shadows, even her own. She can’t stand the idea of there being a Shadow she can’t give form to.

Arachne takes one last swing and finishes up with her measuring. She uses up the remainder of her strength and collapses with a calm smile on her face. You call out to her and catch her before she hits the ground, thankfully. She doesn’t faint outright as she talks a little about how proud and overbearing she is, then fades out in the middle of asking why you still support her.

Amatsumara calls her clumsy, but says she still pushed herself too hard and that she needs to be taken to a hospital right away. He can’t leave his post, and he can’t spare Takemaru or Kurogane either. You however say you’ll take her there yourself or say you’ll work it out somehow.

Amatsumara says it’ll be rough to look after someone by yourself, then hits on an idea so he tries calling for Hephaestus. He walks over asking what’s going on and says he just finished his own work. When he sees you he greets you and says he didn’t come over earlier when he saw you because you were with someone. At that point Hephaestus notices Arachne and recognizes her.

Amatsumara takes it as a sign to skip some explanation and orders him to help you take Arachne to a hospital since he just said he’s done with his work. Hephaestus weakly tries to protest this, but Amatsumara cuts him off and tells him to save it for later. You ask Hephaestus for help, so he gives in and orders Talos to do the transporting.

After a little bit of narration to describe you guys walking to the hospital while Talos carries Arachne, Arachne takes over narration as the music changes as she says that in the beginning, all she did was add charm to the expression of shadows.

Arachne describes Shadows as the things everyone cuts away from themselves, the individuals made unnecessary in a completed world. They are the unconscious, the inefficient, the unsightly, the things everyone pities but looks away from. And she believed that because of those things they held the truth of the world.

Arachne says she started her life as a creator back in her home world. She worked feverishly at her weaving in order to materialize shadows. The ones who first commended her were people with an eye for beauty. They never stopped complimenting her, and they told her she was a genius who knew what true beauty was. Since that day she never once doubted that she was the best weaver in the world.

Arachne goes on to boast that she wouldn’t lose against the one of the top twelve who rules over weaving, ___. They were silly words, though as a Creator she meant them. This all lead to that fated day where she had that weaving contest. Arachne threw herself into it and chose to weave out all the godly scandals the deities were keeping secret. She was convinced they would find it fascinating.

They didn’t of course, so she was absolutely shocked by their rejection of it. At the same time, and yet despite her confidence, she thought ‘of course they wouldn’t accept her.’ She rationalizes it that there was no way the top dogs resting on their laurels could understand her, understand true beauty.

Even so, she wonders why it is she felt unsatisfied. If the world were to laugh at her and not understand her anyway, why does she keep snapping at it? Eventually, she came to a standstill. Everyone’s eyes were on her, and she could see herself reflected in them. Arachne could see her shadow in their eyes, and she describes it as repulsive. She wonders if this is her thoughtlessness and shallowness coming back to haunt her. But still...

Camera tunes in to the attached hospital at Yoyogi Academy University. Mineaki says that Arachne has overworked herself and hasn’t slept enough, then adds that she seems to have a lot of mental strain in particular. He warns that he can’t overlook her going any harder with it.

Mineaki figures that the cause is not just the measuring battles, but using the app during her work as well. He comments on her method of supplementing her superhuman talent with the app’s redo function, then compares it to how a swan swimming on a lake is kicking its feet really hard under the water’s surface. A lot of effort to support her abilities.

You comment on her talent and ability to make an effort and say she’s amazing. You also ask if she’s okay. Mineaki says he’s fine if she decides to leave when she wakes up. Arachne should recover in a few days if she gets enough food and rest. She just can’t keep doing this or else she’ll really hurt herself.

You either lament that she’s done so much already, ask if Mineaki can do anything since there isn’t time for that, or just nod silently. Mineaki talks about how everyone tries so hard and puts effort into reaching their dreams. The students there work as hard as she does, but there’s still times when someone has their dreams fall apart. He asks what you think is needed when that happens.

You say resting up and getting up again to look for the next opportunity. He says that’s correct, so for now Arachne should rest herself. You should too for that matter, since you must be tired from helping her. You say you understand and thank him. He approves but still somehow makes it creepy as he calls you a cute, honest kid.

Mineaki then says he’ll give you a piece of advice about resting and getting up again. He says that to make sure you don’t fail again, you should change the way you look at yourself at least once. Was the opponent you fought so hard to the point of collapsing right? Were they ever ‘someone you should be fighting against?’ Did you even want to fight, or did you really want to do something else?

Mineaki stops there and says to call him if anything comes up again. Hephaestus stands there quietly, so you thank him and Talos for helping. Talos waves it off as following orders while Hephaestus asks you to stop making that face since he says you have no reason to sadden yourself over Arachne.

You either ask Hephaestus if he knows her or ask if they come from the same world. He doesn’t answer right away, then decides to start talking about his time back in Olympus.

Hephaestus says Arachne was known as a genius back there and says she brought down the imperial wrath of the rulers. He doesn’t know the details since he was removed from them. If you want to know you’ll have to ask her, but he does know she was transformed into a spider as a mark of shame for her crime. Then he laughs about there being other ugly trashy geniuses like him too.

You comment on Arachne being a genius too and ask if she and Hephaestus ever had times when they connected. He smiles cynically as he answers by asking if you know there are two kinds of geniuses. The first kind is the trash kind, like him. Those kinds are repelled from the world because they are twisted, distorted, and ugly.

He doesn’t just mean outer appearance wise either, as the way they think is Different from other people. That’s what gets rejected as twisted and ugly, but Hephaestus says that’s all they can be. They just have their deformed talent that outstrips most anyone, so they make others accept them by putting that talent out there for others. They put out their trifling selves, as if to say “I’ll help, so let me stay in the corner.”

Hephaestus explains that those kinds of geniuses never cared about other people to begin with. So long as they can do their own work, the world can burn for all it matters to them.

You ask Hephaestus what the other kind of genius is that he’s talking about. He answers that the other kind is the idiot kind, like Arachne. Those types don’t grasp that they are ‘different’ from other people and are caught up in the belief that their distortion and character is the most beautiful thing in the world. They believe that it’s the world that’s twisted.

Hephaestus feels that what makes the idiot genius a hopeless case is their belief that the world will one day accept them. They feel that they are correct, proper, beautiful, and sensible. It’s everyone else who is wrong they’d say, even if no one ever asked for what they made.

That behavior would of course lead to their rejection by the world, and yet they still hold up their expectations for it. And that’s why she’s an idiot genius (title drop), because she’s hopeless. You either reprimand him for phrasing things that way, deny that she is hopeless, or ask if he’s jealous of her.

Going B, he laughs about how kind you are but says you’re wrong. He says you can say that because of who you are. By which he means that you’ve been freed from the world’s hierarchy. It’s not about whether they’re correct or not, because the world is wrong either way. It’s because that’s not the majority. Geniuses will always be in the minority.

Arachne has woken up around this point, which Hephaestus notices and calls her a terrible person with awful hobbies for eavesdropping. Arachne says she was awake for a little while and asks where she is. You ask about her waking up, tell her it’s a hospital, and ask if she remembers fainting.

Arachne says she saw a dream about the time she was exiled. Hephaestus feels it’s time he leaves then, though he says he’s reluctant to do so. Arachne comments on him being there too, but he snaps at her and tells her not to talk to him. He is after all part of the side that turned her into what she is now.

Arachne concedes the point, but she still thanks him for carrying her over. He awkwardly brushes it off and says he’s leaving. You gently brush his face and thank him for being nice, then say you’ll see him again. He gets upset and asks you to stop, saying it was you who carried her here. He just carried your things before correcting to say it was Talos. He didn’t even do anything. If anything it’s you who’s kind. He still feels like smiling though.

Hephaestus leaves, and the room quiets down. Arachne gets up to check herself and sighs. She apologizes for troubling you and says she feels fine. She then asks if she can go home now since she can’t stay for long. You say you’ll see her back since she might push herself too hard again and ask her to wait until the processing is done. She agrees and thanks you for that, and the episode part ends.

Seaside Fashionista Episode 5 Part 1

We start off with narration about Arachne and how she saw a dream from days long past, a reality from another world before she arrived in Tokyo. In her flashback she’s showing off her newest creation and proclaiming its status as a thing of true beauty, then asks the Gods why they don’t appreciate her work.

The gods speak, “Nay. Thou art a reprobate.” Not all twelve of them though as one of them shunned by he rest sits there in silence, but on the other hand he had little influence on the others the gods. Said gods call thing thing Arachne wove together as an insult to them and says it casts doubts on their perfection.

According to them, anything that does such a thing is a crime beyond any hope. Arachne blusters at the judgment and calls them crazy for labeling her a criminal. She says she made it because she thought they would like it, and that she made it with the best materials. The gods then say that the world illuminating light that comes from his (Zeus) thunder must shine in gold and prosper.

Their hierarchy must be perfect as well, and as such they must punish her for this. Narration talks about how Cronus’ bloodline brought peace to the world, so their words, their behaviors, their very existence was held as supreme. As they stood on the top of the hierarchy, they decide what is right and how transgressions are to be punished.

In spite of all this Arachne glares right at them. For whatever reason the gods refer to Arachne as daughter of the Iron Age and charge her with harming and corrupting their world and punish her with exile.

Arachne’s reaction is “you can’t exile me I’m leaving!” out of wounded pride over her creation. That bit is what gets her pain, a transformation, and a complete denial of her whole being as she disappears from Olympus. They called her the arrogant weaver, the woman who cut at their fragile golden illusion with the cold iron truth.

Even as it happened, Arachne laughed in the spilling shadows of light thinking about how the gods didn’t understand after all. A Shadow seems to form from the corner of her mouth if I understand correctly, though she doesn’t see it as the light of summoning takes her.

When she wakes up, Arachne finds herself in Tokyo. Narration then switches to her voice as she calls her some someone who was once a normal person who is now changed into a form that isn’t so. She can materialize anyone’s Shadow, yet she never looked back on her own.

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called And That’s Why She’s An Idiot Genius.

Camera then tunes back in at the casino as Tsathoggua is on the phone with you hearing about what’s been happening. He comments on how it’s been constant problems, but looking at the results it’s been alright. He still hopes things will pan out okay though, but since it’s Arachne...ehhhh. But anyways he thanks you for updating him on things.

Tsathoggua briefly considers doing some surveillance since he’s worried, but he ditches the idea since Hakumen is there and watching him closely so he’ll get better. She notices, so Tsathoggua excuses himself and ends the call, wishing you guys good luck.

Hakumen asks if the call is over and sighs about him for worrying you, so he apologizes. She snaps at him and says he should get better then because her looking after him is a blue moon special kind of thing. Xolotl has rice porridge and prompts Tsathoggua to open his mouth so he can feed him. He does so and thanks him.

Tsathoggua is glad that the two of them are taking care of him since he says most of his minions are handling the management of the Tokyo Mode Collection. Hakumen starts talking about how much Tsathoggua will work to pay her back for all this, which he passes on because effort. She asks in annoyance why he’d work for Arachne but not for her.

Tsathoggua says if Arachne is left alone she’ll overwork herself, not eat or drink, and pass out. Because of that he feels that he can’t make her worry. He also adds that she looks just like his old roommate, who was much the same as her and often put his tributes on the black market.

But on the topic of roommates, Tsathoggua suggests that’s what Hakumen is now. He can’t pay her back at some multiplied value, but he does promise to repay her for nursing him. Hakumen asks if he can stop talking so shabbily. She’s a super celebrity and the casino owner while he’s a good for nothing freeloader.

That said she thinks it’s fine to keep their standings clear and tries to suggest sticking him with the hardest work, but Tsathoggua interrupts to take back his offer and says he’ll go back to bed. Hakumen screeches about this.

Scene then shifts to your side as Arachne turns out to say fashion when she sneezes and subscribes to the sneezing superstition when being talked about. That aside, Arachne asks if you filled in Tsathoggua about the previous two outings. You say Tsathoggua seems fine and comment on her worrying about him.

She’s relieved to hear that, then backtracks and claims it’s nothing because of course her work is awesome. And now that you guys know that Tsathoggua is okay you guys can head to the next place. You bring up that you’ll be seeing Amatsumara now since Arachne made clothes for the others.

Arachne confirms that, then asks you where he is. As the scene transitions she’s surprised to find out he’s back at the Tokyo Mode Collection. She comments on finally being back and compares it to coming home, then on her surprise that he’s part of the construction crew for the venue. But thinking on it some more she figures of course he is because he’s someone she can recognize the talent of.

Arachne then changes the subject and says it’s a convenient turn of events. Since her shop has been closed while you guys were out she’s been wondering how it looks, so she suggests going to check on it, skipping happily (in her heels, mind) with a heartfelt smile on her face.

Arachne doesn’t actually make it all the way to the store as she stops and sits on the ground partway there and comments on how bright the sun is. You’re worried for her and note that she looks pale, then ask if she’s been overdoing it.

Arachne tries to deny being exhausted and says she slept more than she expected back at Kabukicho. She claims she’s not that weak, but she does admit to having a nightmare that morning which left her with a bit of ennui. Arachne decides not to think about it and says you guys need to get excited. She feels she can just cut away the past she doesn’t want to think about and toss it away with wood scraps.

Arachne then walks off with her usual lively behavior. She starts talking about her surprise with Gyumao’s abilities in getting the event site set up so quickly. It’s where the fashion show will be, but she’s looking forward to what sort of things will be there. Arachne also brings up that there’s going to be a new swimsuit fashion exhibition coming at a much later time than usual.

You ask about this later time business and ask why it isn’t right on time since it’s summer already. Arachne finds the question funny and says she’ll explain. So basically, fashion shows are for showing things made for the upcoming season.

If you intend to showcase swimsuits for summer, you won’t make it in time if that’s the current season. That said, leaving it for next season leaves too much time open. Generally winter to the beginning of spring is for swimsuits and summer clothes. The beginning of summer to autumn is for winter clothes.

And despite all that, Arachne says there are plenty of cases where clothes that fit the current season are presented. You guys arrive at the fashion show area as Arachne realizes she forgot to check on the store. But she decides to let that be and asks if you can show Amatsumara the pictures of what she’s made for the challenge. And since you’re going to be showing it, be sure to pick the best shots.

First things first will be the Yoyogi photo sports casual outfit, which you can note snugly fits the whole body in black. Arachne talks about how thankful she is towards all of the people there. She never thought she’d be working with sports casual fashion, but now she feels like she’s taken a layer off things.

You talk about the Daikanyama photo next with the suit and can say that marriage ceremony felt nice. Arachne says she’s great at formalwear and seeing this piece get perfected captivated her. She wonders if this could lead to her being asked to do bridal wear someday.

Last would be the Kabukicho picture with the shiny suit and the excellent host. Arachne talks about her heart shivering at the possibilities of her new fashion and how Suzuka got into it, which was fun.

Now that you’ve gone over all the photos, Arachne thinks it’s all perfect and is almost sure Amatsumara will accept this as a pass. As you guys talk, construction workers are busy all around you guys. Takemaru is supervising some column being installed and asks Kurogane to bring the lighting over if he has time.

Kurogane agrees and is about to look when he sees Arachne and stops her from going any further since the place is a danger zone and she’s not a staff member. Arachne says she *is* one and came to see Amatsumara. Kurogane then recognizes her and asks what her business with him is.

One explanation later, Kurogane understands and says he’ll take you guys over to where he’s managing. He also gives you guys some helmets and tells you to watch your feet. Arachne thanks him, and you guys walk on over. Hephaestus is also around and watching you guys.

Work is bustling all around you, and in the middle of it all is Amatsumara loudly directing everyone. Kurogane comments on how loud he is and how clear it is even with you guys at this distance. Arachne agrees and says it looks like things are almost done. Kurogane mentions the pavements are almost done too, then asks you guys to keep the helmets on just in case. You thank him or tell Arachne to be sure she keeps hers on.

Kurogane says he still has work so he’ll be going, then says he’ll see you later. Arachne mutters to herself as she looks at Amatsumara. She starts comparing him to a mountain, then an eroded hunk of rock, then a large mass of gold. She didn’t notice when she first met him, but looking at him reminds her of someone back in her home world. You can ask if she’s talking about an acquaintance, a friend, or someone she likes.

Going A, Arachne says it was someone she only caught glimpses of, but their voice carried far. While their fields and ‘stance towards work’ are different, she respected them. She also sympathized with their uncompromising work and excellent skills. They just made great works and didn’t pick a partner or something, and they were recognized by the world. It’s one of the few memories of her world that left an impression.

You either ask why Arachne looks like she’s about to cry or why she’s smiling like she’s happy. She’s surprised by the question either way and thinks it’s strange, then laughs.

Elsewhere Hephaestus brings Kurogane the lights, surprising him. He recovers quickly enough and thanks him, then tries to tell him that you’re there. Hephaestus says he already knows, but there’s someone he doesn’t want to see with you, so he’ll stay away for now.

Kurogane asks where he’s going and says there’s still work left. Hephaestus says he can’t handle Takemaru. He doesn’t hate him, but he’ll be working away from him. Kurogane figures Hephaestus is just shy, but he denies it and says he can’t handle people who shine and are the type other naturally gather around. Especially the greats who could cause huge disturbances in the end.

Takemaru calls over to Kurogane asking him if he’s got the lights yet. Kurogane answers that he’s coming back now and comments that fireworks installation is next. Camera then focuses on Amatsumara, who smiles as you and Arachne approach him. He notes that you’re here, so he asks to see what you’ve done.

Arachne apologizes for the pictures being small but prompts you to show him. For Wakan Tanka, Amatsumara notes that they’re casual clothes that suit the model’s particular sport and shows off their muscles.

He also somehow picks up on them showing a desire for fashion consciousness on the wearer’s part and the clothes being like their best clothes for occasions. Since that’s been taken into consideration, the outfit is also made to calm him down even though they’re also made to push him forward. All in all, it’s a good creation.

Next is Zabaniya’s picture. Amatsumara initially thinks the suit is for someone getting married before correcting it to the officiant’s. He can tell Zabaniya’s not used to dressing up but he says he hides it well, and that he doesn’t hate it as much as he lets on. Amatsumara notes it’s a first job kind of thing and says it’s a good piece.

Suzuka’s pic is after, and Amatsumara says it’s a pretty shiny suit. He can tell it’s just been fixed up rather than a wholesale new piece. He notices that the parts around the hips have been made tighter, yet there’s still some room open while helping to tense up the wearer.

The biggest thing he notes is Suzuka’s expression, since it’s clear she’s brimming with confidence and the clothes push her forward. Amatsumara asks if Arachne butt heads with her and says the look on Suzuka’s face is a rare one to see.

Arachne decides to cut to the chase and asks if her work passes the challenge. Amatsumara confirms it does and says there never was any problems with her abilities. He then asks if she knows why he put her up to this, why she couldn’t sell anything even though she has the skills.

Arachne is quiet for a second before answering that what she made wasn’t what anyone wanted. If she wants customers to want her stuff, she’ll have to make things they’d like to get. Amatsumara notes that she already knew and says in which case she should just do that for the world. She’s uncomfortable with that statement.

You congratulate Arachne, wonder if she grasped it all, then try getting her attention since she’s getting upset. She seems ready to cry, yet she still glares Amatsumara like she already saw this coming. He doesn’t remark upon this, and Arachne starts grinding her teeth and hangs her head in frustration.

It’s now that Amatsumara comments on her looking like she knew from the start. Of course, if she didn’t she’d never have gotten customers in his particular case. He doesn’t even need to cite Gyumao’s example; she had a customer from the start. This goes especially for dealing with willful other parties, taking their hidden shadows and putting it in a vessel that can take them. It’s just that for most people it turns out ‘like that,’ where they ignore it.

Amatsumara compares her work from earlier to being blown off to the far reaches of the sky by yourself. No one would understand it, and no one wanted to understand it. After a pause he says he figures she must know that too. He asks if she just pretended not to know. His false eye looks at her, which reflects her like a polished mirror.

Amatsumara asks again whether or not she didn’t want to be understood by the general public to begin with. You either try to talk to Arachne or keep quiet. Arachne starts yelling about how her fashion is the cutting edge that surpasses the understanding of other people and that it’s her specialty. She says in the end everyone is the same, and that she comes to that same answer.

In which case, Arachne says it’d be fine to have someone who isn’t her do designing. If she were to turn her back on what she considers beautiful and make only what the world wants, it can all go to hell. She proclaims that she has a different fixation as a Creator as opposed to a Crafter. She calls it a battle to protect her soul and wounded pride, and that she swore to make the world recognize her or die trying.

Amatsumara says she’s still looking away from herself and questions whether what she’s trying to do really so important. He decides to say it right out that Arachne wants the world to accept her. The thing is, he says she also believes that it’s a given that the world won’t, and this contradiction causes her to suffer and lose her way.

Arachne hesitates for a second before telling him to shut it. She figures if she makes the clothes he wants as promised then it’ll be okay. Then she says it’s time to do the measuring battle. Arachne says that thanks to Amatsumara and your friends, she feels she’s shown off her work to the world well enough over the past few days. The past few days were not a detour, so all she has to go is start selling afterwards.

Amatsumara says she doesn’t really need to go selling like that and starts saying something about her real wish. Arachne cuts him off and tells him to shut up. She thanks him for everything up until today, then turns to you and asks you to help one last time. You try to stop her since she’s not holding up very well physically and mentally.

Amatsumara agrees, saying it’s best to stop for now. She might seriously hurt herself one way or another if this continues, and he points out she might not make it through the whole event as is. You agree with Amatsumara and say that while you understand Arachne’s feelings she shouldn’t push herself.

Despite all that, Amatsumara does think that Arachne is unstoppable if she intends to go reach for the world. He says he understands since he was like that when he was young too. He then laughs and asks if it’s his job to be a wall to obstruct her. He calls up all the workers, then challenges Arachne to show her will power as the episode battle starts.
