Tsathoggua
teleports in right after to greet you guys, and it seems he really did
go to bed in that suit. He’s then shocked to find out he’s the last to
get here and collapses. Arachne is surprised that he’s reacting like he
teleported to the wrong place and says it’s a bit rude, but then greets
him too. He apologizes and says he didn’t think he’d be last since he
tries to get up early today, then returns her greeting.
Tsathoggua
then yawns and says he’s still a bit sleepy and asks for a quid pro quo
honey login bonus. Arachne says she saw this coming, so she went and
bought some breakfast. He’s happy about this since he hasn’t eaten
anything yet and says she’s so smart.
Arachne
then says that breakfast is really important to a fashionista. If she
skips breakfast she can’t make clothes, and she just can’t have that as a
designer. So on that note she bought waffles with honey on them for
everyone. You either agree that breakfast is important, comment on her
being so motivated in the morning, or say they look great and thank her
for them.
Arachne says she’s always like
that in the mornings. She has a dream she needs to fulfill after all, so
she has to take care of her body. You ask her what her dream is and if
it wasn’t about selling her own clothes.
Arachne
starts talking about it, then decides that ambition would be a better
description for what she wants, then suggests you guys walk and talk.
Don’t listen so hard that you trip, she says as she holds her coffee and
starts walking.
Back to the conversation,
Arachne’s big dream is to start up her own apparel brand. Tsathoggua
asks about her being a freelancer at the moment and free to do what she
wants. She loudly says no. Even though she’s busy completing orders as a
freelancer it doesn’t actually come with many opportunities to get her
name out there and represent herself.
She
does have an office, but it’s not enough for her to bring out what she
calls cutting edge fashion. She’ll need something bigger for what she
wants. Anyways you guys get on the train to head to Yoyogi as Arachne
talks, who narration points out as not seeming depressed by the events
from the other day.
Title card pops up, and this chapter is called That Must Be the Extra Order.
Scene
then tunes back with you guys heading towards Yoyogi as Tsathoggua
gives directions on where to go. It’s now that Arachne thinks to ask
what kind of school it is, so you tell her it’s a famous sports school,
that everyone is in a sports team, or ask if she’s never heard of
Yoyogi.
Arachne comments that as a weaver,
she’s never had much of a connection to sports. Tsathoggua adds that he
doesn’t imagine her as being into sports either, not that he has any
connections to the topic either.
Arachne
then says she can faintly smell the scent of sweat, which surprises
Tsathoggua as he can’t smell anything of the sort. She explains that
she’s sensitive to body odors since they can stick to clothes. By the
way she adds that she doesn’t like citrus fruit scents. Honeyed lemonade
is fine, but she’s gotten more aware of that kind of scent when her
body became the way it is now.
A bunch of
students are walking around to their sports clubs, which Tsathoggua
comments on. Arachne observes the musculature of some people like one
person’s arms, one person’s thighs, and one person’s everything. She
then asks if this is a really famous sports school. You either confirm
that or comment on her only now getting that through her head.
The
topic reminds Tsathoggua of something, so he asks Arachne about her
school. She says she’s attending a specialty school that has great
scores even for its fashion department. She only goes occasionally
though since she has work. Like the other day she made some supplies for
a play as requested by the theater department. A bunch of cloth masks
specifically. She had to put in some effort, but she thought it was fun.
Tsathoggua
comments that it does sound like a school thing and that it seems fun.
Arachne then comments that the Yoyogi students ought to do something
extra with their clothes. More and more students are around as you
approach the school itself and Arachne looks at their clothes with an
inscrutable expression.
Eventually Arachne
has a fit of pique and dashes off to Tsathoggua’s baffled shock. Arachne
starts sewing up jerseys here and there and sewing in embroideries to
ones that are a bit frayed. She rants that if a tribal guys is showing
off his body lines he should focus on one point. And for a wolf guy who
is covering up that he forgot to brush himself he should wear his jersey
like so. She’s going so fast with her thread and needle that it takes a
moment for people to grasp what she’s done, and a commotion of
confusion spreads.
Arachne starts getting
into the zone, and Wakan Tanka who happens to be there senses her
rampage coming towards him. He then runs over to catch her in a hold,
which breaks her out of her trance. Wakan then notices that it’s Arachne
he’s holding, and you either call out and tell Arachne to stop, thank
Wakan for stopping her, or tell Arachne she shouldn’t go sewing up
peoples’ clothes like that. By the way for that last choice you compare
it to an old samurai custom of ambushing and killing random people as a
way of testing a new sword.
Arachne is
shocked at what she did. Tsathoggua says it was a surprise when she
suddenly ran off and asks what happened. She apologizes and says she
started moving without thinking because she couldn’t handle how
unfashionable things were here. He’s shocked she did all that
unconsciously, and the three of you apologize to everyone Arachne hit
up.
The students are mostly fine with
things. Some are happy since Arachne fixed up some tears or whatnot, and
a mage mentions since she normally doesn’t pay attention to fashion the
addition she got might be kinda nice actually.
Arachne
also thanks Wakan for stopping her since she was just almost going to
rehash an incident where she stuck a hundred people with her fashion
sensibilities. He has no idea what she’s talking about but agrees that
sounds like a good thing. Tsathoggua doesn’t either but grasps that this
was almost an incident of some sort.
As
she apologizes to you and Tsathoggua, you bring up that this might have
shown you guys one thing you guys can do. Arachne asks if you’re talking
about what Amatsumara was talking about, then asks what you mean. You
tell her she should make clothes people uninterested in fashion would
want to wear, that she should see what people want.
Arachne
mulls the idea over in her head, and Tsathoggua says he agrees with
you. Arachne admits that if she makes things they’ll want she can make a
sale, but she has doubts about it working since she sold nothing
yesterday. She still doesn’t understand and feels her clothes are
already the best. Tsathoggua tells her not to rush it and that you guys
are here to figure that out. He promises that she will like he’s in an
RPG.
Arachne seems touched by this, then
suddenly seems to think of something and faces Wakan Tanka again. She
thanks him once more for stopping her and introduces herself. He
responds in kind calling himself a third year student and football
captain. You take note that he didn’t call her ‘his Arachne.’ Wakan is
mildly confused and calls you funny since that’s not something you call
someone you’ve never met before. You’re even more baffled by this since
he did that with you right away.
Anyways
Wakan asks what brings you all to Yoyogi. One offscreen explanation
later, you’re in front of the club building as he understands the
situation. He says that the jocks visited other stores, but no one
really bought anything. He also has a problem coming up with clothes
he’d like if he has to describe it right that second.
Arachne
says it’s a shame, then comments on his fashion choices being great.
Wakan says he never thought about it because he wasn’t the one to pick
them out. Arachne asks if he made them himself then. He answers that he
was given the clothes and just changed as the mood suits him. Arachne is
taken aback by this, and you either express shock that all his clothes
are gifts, say you’re jealous of him, or say you want to give him
clothes too.
Going C, Wakan is happy you’d
give him something. He says he isn’t confident in his own fashion sense,
so he’ll gladly wear anything you pick out for him. Tsathoggua has a
mild freak out about how popular Wakan is.
Wakan
Tanka then says that if it comes to it and involves specifically
you...he gets cut off as Durga runs in saying she was looking for him
since practice is starting. She’s surprised to see you with him, and
Gunzou wonders why you’re here since you’re supposed to be helping out
with the store. Kyuuma then points out that Arachne and Tsathoggua are
with you.
Daisuke thinks that you guys
being here means that you’ll be making wrestling costumes for them.
Ashigara is irritated and tells Wakan that the coach is calling for him
and to hurry up. Tsathoggua then notes that the jocks all seem to be
looking for Mr. Popularity.
Arachne says
this is good timing since all the jocks are here, then orders them to
line up so she can make them clothes just for them. You either start
getting on Arachne’s case for phrasing, tell her to explain it right, or
say they won’t understand with her being so abrupt.
Arachne
apologizes and says she got ahead of herself. Ashigara asks if she’s
here to make them clothes. Durga is happy about that, but she’ll pass if
it’s going to be like what was at the store. And honestly she doesn’t
have that much time to wear them, while it’d be a shame to have them
made and shut away all the time. Ashigara agrees, though he says it’s
different if he can wear it as an ornamental sumo apron.
Gunzou
also agrees with their sentiments, saying what looks good on a model
may look weird if they were to wear it. Arachne reassures then that
it’ll be all custom made. Daisuke is happy about that and starts asking
for matching costumes for you and him. Arachne interrupts , saying that
between materials and service charge it’ll be 12 million coins.
Ashigara, Gunzou, and Daisuke immediately ask to either back out or ask
Arachne to leave in response.
Arachne is
shocked by this reaction and says she splurged a lot as an investment
for the near future assuming it’d go well. Tsathoggua says they
fundamentally have different scales for value. Arachne tries to protest
that she can’t do it for free. Even if she waived the service charge she
put herself in the red buying materials. She’s also putting her pride
on the line of this. You wonder what you guys should do, ask if she can
go cheaper on materials, or suggest going home.
Wakan
watches as he listens to Arachne and the jocks talk. He suddenly smiles
as he seems to think of something and starts talking to Arachne again,
asking if she’ll be in trouble if she doesn’t make clothes for them. She
says it’s less trouble and more her taking on a challenge that she has
to win by taking their requests. Durga is shocked by this and says this
is high pressure salesmanship. Kyuuma, Ashigara, and Gunzou nod along.
Wakan
says he doesn’t get why, but he does understand that Arachne wants to
prove herself. He wants to help, and he says he’ll try to come up with
something about the money. Arachne asks why he’d do that for someone he
just met. He answers that it’s simply that he wants to help people with
their problems and ask if you feel the same way. You either are taken
aback by the full force of airheaded popularity, point out that this is
*kind of* a lot of money to be dealing with, or say he’s great and ask
to hug him.
Tsathoggua asks if no one can
stop, and Kyuuma says Wakan won’t change his mind when he decides on
something. Gunzou says they can’t just leave him be when he talks like
that, so maybe they should make some sort of progress like in rugby
since they can’t do so as things are now.
Durga
is open to hearing you guys out, and maybe you’ll be able to come up
with another solution. Daisuke says they’ll help too if Wakan will.
Ashigara thinks he can just hit things at the end, if it comes to it.
Arachne is happy about this and asks what sort of things they’d like,
such as formal, casual, or avant-garde.
Wakan
says there isn’t really anything specific he wants and asks if she can
make something she likes for him. Arachne is confused by this, and Durga
says she thinks things are going to go badly. Arachne tries asking
again about what sort of clothes Wakan likes, but he repeats his request
that she makes what she likes. He’ll love whatever she makes as it is.
She blows up at his Big Bang Brain nonsense and faints.
Some
time later you guys are at the school nurse’s office and have explained
what’s going on to Mineaki. He comments about her having problems, then
asks her to not scream on campus. It may be summer vacation but there
are still students around and the screaming can be kind of alarming. She
apologizes for having done so.
Arachne
also thanks him for having brought her to the nurse’s office and bows to
him. Tsathoggua says he’s glad she isn’t hurt and says he was worried
when she blacked out on her feet.
She says
it sometimes happens when someone who can really bring out the best in
clothes has no interest in it at all. They might even be the kind of
person who could be so talented at modeling that she ends up thinking
it’d be fine if they were naked. You either tell her to get a grip,
compare that to a powerful enemy appearing, or say that’s also a kind of
uniform.
Anyways Mineaki asks why she
doesn’t just have Wakan wear something she’s already made. Arachne says
she’d be crazy to do so since that wouldn’t actually solve the challenge
she’s been set. Amatsumara did tell her to show him the clothes she
made from orders she’s taken. To do that, it has to be something the
customer has asked for, or else all she’d have done is push clothes onto
people, which Mineaki agrees is a point.
Arachne
says she prides herself on never running from a challenge given to her,
no matter Who it is. That’s how she’s gotten got where she is, and
narration points out she’s putting in the weight of what she’s not
saying into those words. Things like anger, resentment, and a certain
kind of determination.
Avarga sympathizes
with her feelings, which Arachne is pleased about. She says she can’t
let herself lose this, and that she has to make high quality
made-to-order clothes for it. The topic of a customer’s order reminds
you of something, so you ask Tsathoggua what happened when his suit was
being made.
Arachne doesn’t remember it
herself since she didn’t think it was a big deal. She asks Tsathoggua
too, but he squirms and claims to not remember and that trying to recall
is too much effort. He also signals that he doesn’t want to be asked
about it even though he does know.
Mineaki
suggests that you go ask the other jocks for ideas then, which Avarga
agrees with. Arachne is in some disbelief and feels anyone would shine
in her clothes. Tsathoggua doesn’t hear her and ask if she’s hungry. She
seems surprised by this and tries to pass it off as nothing. You
suggest going back to everyone to talk and research.
Arachne
agrees, then thanks the teachers for talking with her. She walks off to
Tsathoggua’s surprise as he says she’s too energetic. You two go after
her, and Avarga asks Mineaki what his opinion is.
Mineaki
thinks that if you two are there to compensate for what Arachne lacks,
you’ll be able to come up with something. Avarga agrees as well, so
Mineaki suggests they follow along to help once the order is made. The
episode part ends by calling them meddlers.
