Going C, Ryouta laughs
and says he expected as much from you. Kengo asks why our nerd class rep
is here too, so Shirou tells him he’s there to keep him from cutting.
He’d feel bad if he left it up to just you and Ryouta. Kengo is shocked
he’d think that of him, then complains about his youth running away with
him what with his job after this.
Since
the subject has been brought up Ryouta asks about you working at
Andvari’s resort, then mentions he heard Chouji and Chernobog are also
working there. Those two then walk into the classroom and Chernobog
confirms the fact. He also says he’s relieved to know you’re working
there too. Chouji offers everyone some sandwiches. You can either ask if
they’re also taking make up classes or happily take one.
Either
way Chouji explains that he and the cooking club came to help make food
for everyone at summer school. Chernobog came to help with that too,
but he also mentions that he has another reason to come over. On cue,
rumbling footsteps come from the floor below towards to where you are,
and Zaou runs in teary eyed yelling about mountains. Chernobog has to
use both hands to stop him from going any further.
Zaou
begs Chernobog to let him pass so he can go to the mountains. The
mountains they call for him~! Chernobog tries to talk some sense into
him saying they’ll still be there after he finishes summer school. Zaou
then starts hallucinating a hiking trip with you and either apparently
Durga or some other new member he’s making up wholesale. You either are
alarmed at his withdrawal symptoms, say his brain has left the building,
or say he’s also a cutter.
In any case
Chernobog says he has to stay here to keep Zaou in until summer school
is over. Ryouta is shocked and says he’s doing good. Zaou tries asking
Chernobog to let him go and if he’s trying to tear him from the
mountains. Chernobog says he isn’t and is here for his sake. He reminds
him that Mononobe has already got on Zaou’s case about his grades, then
frames the end of term tests as a mountain. Zaou feels trapped with that
use of phrasing.
Chernobog tried
encouraging Zaou and says he’s here with him to help conquer it. Shirou
is amazed that Mononobe would know how to game Zaou like this. You can
then say that was a good line, tell Zaou the mountains will be waiting,
or call this whole thing a farce. In C Zaou gets embarrassed and says
you’re a horrible kouhai.
Chernobog changes
the subject and talks about his job at Andvari’s resort. He invites
Zaou to come over after summer school if he likes and offers to treat
him. Zaou loses his tongue and is unable to say the word ocean/beach/sea
in full, which you either comment on, say yes it is the beach you’re
all talking about, or be shocked at his obsession with the mountains.
Ryouta
supports the idea since he wants to go see the place. Kengo does too
and mentions the timing lines up perfectly for him between his day off
at work and school stuff. Shirou says he can’t make it and reminds
everyone to not cause issues. You either turn to Chernobog and say
you’re excited, say you’re embarrassed to have everyone over, or claim
to be really busy today.
Chouji asks to
come along too, though he says he’ll be late due to cleaning up at the
school. Zaou is reluctant to go since going on a boat doesn’t compare to
climbing a mountain. Chernobog then asks him to lend his ear and
whispers something.
Shirou wonders what
they’re talking about, and it seems Chernobog framed the job as a
mountain to you to get Zaou to understand. He still has reservations
about going until Chernobog says there are underwater mountains.
You
can either demand to know what it is they’re saying or just smile at
them. Zaou says he’ll come visit if you guys are inviting him over to
the resort, which shocks Ryouta. Shirou goes as far as saying the
school’s natural order has been messed with.
Chernobog
suggests that he and Zaou go back to his lessons. He also tells you
he’ll be heading over once he’s seen Zaou to class and asks you to go on
ahead. You acknowledge this and wish Zaou good luck. Chernobog says
he’ll look forward to everyone coming and Zaou complains about how awful
class is, but he can’t give up on it if it’s a mountain.
Chernobog
escorts Zaou out and the camera follows them for a bit. Chernobog
laughs and starts talking about how thankful he is. Zaou is weirded out
since there’s no context to this, so Chernobog talks about making
friends and having new experiences and having a job now. It’s all thanks
to you and him that Chernobog has been able to grow. Zaou feels he
needs to make an effort too then since he’s said as much.
Title
card pops up, and this chapter is called The Dark Lord’s Welcoming BBQ.
This one also seems to be in haiku format, so I guess the whole event
will do so.
Scene then tunes back in over
at Andvari’s Resort as Goemon greets us good morning. Chernobog is here
too and says he’ll be working with us today. Or us him rather. You
either return the greeting, comment on how perky Goemon is, or comment
on Chernobog getting a new swimsuit.
Going
C, he laughs and says he bought it with the money he earned, then asks
if it’s stylish. Anyways he tells Goemon that your friends will be
coming, so he wants him to help serving them. Goemon expresses a bit of
envy but says he’ll give them a big welcome.
Andvari
comes over to greet you guys and says that today you’ll be helping out
with the charcoal grill BBQ over at the Glamping Area. No that is not a
typo. Andvari tells Chernobog to be ready because it’s going to be super
busy. You either are alarmed that Andvari is on guard, ask if it really
is going to be that busy, or say it didn’t seem that way before.
Andvari
is surprised you guys don’t know and says it was in the social media
news yesterday. Someone posted about the barbecue being awesome and it
went viral. There’s now a huge line for the thing and he and Seth were
dying trying to handle things. Andvari had to leave Seth alone to get
you guys but Seth is probably gonna die for real at this rate. He orders
you to switch in with him when you’re ready.
Chernobog
is surprised. He knew it got some fame but wasn’t expecting it to blow
up like it did. He’s a little sad that the guys won’t have the quieter
sort of meal he was expecting to have when he invited them. Goemon
however say that if the three of you work together it’ll work itself out
somehow. You psyche yourself up to help out, and Chernobog rallies
himself in response.
Over at the barbecue
Seth is freaking out over drowning in customers to the point he calls
out to his staff. He zooms around trying to serve everyone in line and
yells asking where Andvari went. You’re amazed at Seth serving the line
alone and is moving fast enough to be leaving afterimages. You also call
out to him that you’re here to switch places with him.
Seth
bails, and the customers start focusing on you guys asking for the
barbecue. One mermaid is mind blown at the line and figures the food
must be That Awesome. Ryouta is also in line and tries to call over to
you. Moritaka talks about how surprisingly crowded it is and is shocked
the line is continuing to form behind them. Kengo mentions the same
thing, and that someone stepped on his foot.
Goemon
notes that the crowd is getting upset and will riot if you guys don’t
get to work quickly. Chernobog agrees that would be bad and says
Andvari’s work is about making people smile. You say in times like these
you need to be calm, then say to Chernobog you guys should work hard.
Chernobog
agrees, then calls himself the Overlord of the Beach Hut. He tells
everyone wanting food to step forward and get in line, then tells you
and Goemon to get ready as the episode battle starts. The story
continues after.
After the battle Nomad
thanks you guys for you work and comments on the rush, saying he and
Jiraiya will take over next. The line has slowed down by this point, and
you guys can take a breather. Nomad also comments that Chernobog served
customers overlord style again, but figures it’s okay since people seem
to like it. Business boomed thanks to it, and Nomad says the bar has
been raised.
Jiraiya says it’s been
trending on social media, along with videos of Goemon’s street
performances. You either cheer, be casual about it, or say too many
customers came over. Chernobog apologizes to Nomad and calls him part
timer supervisor, saying he did it out of habit when he was focusing so
hard on his work. Goemon says it wasn’t boring and that your idea was
good. Jiraiya says he’ll recognize Goemon’s efforts at least, then
laughs.
Nomad remembers that he has a
message from you from Andvari about a reward. Since someone cancelled
their reservation in the Glamping Area you can take your friends to that
opened slot and eat there. The customers who originally had the space
ate so much barbecue that they decided they had enough and pulled out.
You are either shocked at this or say to Chernobog this is great for you
guys.
Goemon also says it’s good and
suggests taking everyone over there for the barbecue party. Chernobog is
excited too. Scene then shifts elsewhere on the beach where Claude
talks about Andvari inviting him to the resort and Snow talks about what
glamping is.
Claude’s takeaway is that
camping is kind of complicated, but if all the necessities and services
are around then it’s fine. Pollux is there and talks about how nice it
is to sit under the stars in the wild and eat some good grub. It reminds
him of his adventuring days. He doesn’t think Claude is the outdoors
type and asks him not to cry if he gets bitten by a snake.
Claude
says Andvari gave him the place with the newest facilities to prevent
anything like that from happening. He ought to be getting that at least
as one of the investors, right. Macan is also around and says he wants
meat. He heard brings up that he heard a demon lord would be serving
bloody chunks of meat for a banquet and wonders whether he or the demon
would come out on top.
Pollux is pretty
sure Macan is wrong about something. Macan asks what it is he got wrong.
He also threatens to eat Andvari if he isn’t satisfied. The episode
ends with a note that the Berserkers have come over as well.
