Chapter 13 Episode 12: Transformation 3 (Abridged)

Yasuyori: Wait, that Wakan Tanka?
Tanetomo: Yes, that Wakan Tanka. He's one of the World Representatives and is the one making the strange rain fall. Reports say he looks totally blank about it. He was enrolled in Yoyogi, yes?
Yasuyori: W-well, yes but...
Tanetomo: Will you tell me what you know about him again?
Yasuyori: O-kay! So Wakan Tanka is captain of Yoyogi's football team. He loves everyone, and everyone loves him. He's the kind of person people tend to rely upon, like merciful rain from the heavens in terms of oddly specific comparisons.
Yasuyori: ...are we really talking about the same Wakan Tanka?
Tanetomo: Unfortunately yes.
Yasuyori: T-then...what happened to him? Why would he attack with this rain!?
Tanetomo: I want to know too...about what happened with him and the World Representatives. Also...he might not see this rain as an attack. I don't know what's happening at all!

Warmongers base
Yoritomo: (stares)
This is Yoritomo, World Representative of Wa no Kuni. He's a battlefied strategy genius.

Yoritomo (talking to himself for some reason): I may speak like I know everything, but I'm sure my soldiers would be surprised to hear me say I understand nothing about my brother despite acting like I know everything.
Yoritomo had a brother who didn't understand politics and got really attached to him. This brother adored him more than anyone, yet he was more threatening than any rival. Every time Yoritomo tried to have him offed, he lived through it and smiled the same as ever. He never understood whatever it was he saw him in.
Yoritomo: Not understanding what is happening is the most fearsome thing of all...
Yoritomo has been staring towards the south this whole time, towards Tokyo Bay. Towards the Rainbow Bridge...

Somewhere
Shirou: You're really saying this isn't an Invaders attack?
Isaac: Yep. Also call me Isaac.
Kengo: But you said you're the Invaders guildmaster, you little brat!
Kengo tries to grab Isaac but passes through him.

Kengo: WAIT WHAT
Isaac: Haha, careful now. We're at the bottom of Tokyo Bay, the deepest part of the data sea. You might get carried away by an information stream to who knows where.
Shirou: What?
Isaac: This is the depository of memories, deeper than even the Tokyo Dungeons. Old conventional wisdom says in the end, all civilization gets washed out to the bottom of the sea. Oh hey look, more people are falling in.
It's Alice and Jamabavan!

Isaac: So many people...the operation must be going smoothly. More people will be coming in contact here at this rate. Once that reaches 50% of Tokyo's population, we'll be going to the next phase.
Kengo: what
Shirou: Yeah I'm curious about that too, but Isaac? What you said earlier about this being the deepest part of the information ocean...
Isaac: Ooh, you're sharp! If you met Fuxi, he'd probably say everyone believes the truth is in the depths, so that's where the most valuable truth is. This is the physically deepest database in Tokyo, and your consciousnesses are connected to the deep sea cable network in Tokyo Rainbow Bridge.
Shirou: !!
Kengo: Whatever. Take us back! Everyone else is fighting up there!
Isaac: Oh, if you're worried about reuniting with everyone, there's no need to go back.
Kengo: what
Isaac: This side will be the main stage soon enough, and they'll all be here.

Warmongers base for more inexplicable Yoritomo monologuing
Yoritomo: We must grapple with the fact that we never knew how to end the endless game. It couldn't end because it was set up so no one could gain a political majority. Now the Invaders are planning to overthrow everything. They are doing it all in reverse, so if we do not understand, they'll keep at it until we do understand like it or not.
Flooded City that'd Totally be a Persona otherworld

Shirou: Isaac. Tell me what the Invaders' real intentions are among their actions.
Kengo: Why ask that NOW? We gotta get back to MC and--
Isaac: ...mercy. Well, that's Wakan Tanka's motive for the rain at least.
Shirou: (stares)
Isaac: Ever think ignorance is bliss? But then sometimes the world gives you the short end of the stick and says you have to take the L so the world advances. The World Representatives know how much it sucks that someone somewhere has to get shafted for the world, so that's why we're pulling a revolution. Lots won't understand right now, but this is the only way to save everyone who's alive.
Warmongers base because what is this pacing
Yoritomo: Finally the Invaders have set up their premise. They've worn down Wakan Tanka and Tangaroa's personalities and brought in Isaac's cutting edge science.
What if Yoritomo's guessing is right...?

Yoritomo: It's true this plan COULD politically save everyone in Tokyo, but the method is a tragedy. It could expose the dark side of all history. (stares at the south)

Later
Claude: Summoners, Wisemen! Report!
R-19: Video call on. High energy collision in Southern Tokyo detected.
Aoyama
Maria: Look!
Roppongi

Licht: Exception occurence!
Shinagawa Rainbow Bridge
The power clash of Wakan Tanka and Tangaroa are bringing up what lies beneath Tokyo Bay up and causing even more rain!

Babe Bunyan: (frowns)

Later
Flooded City

Turing: Rain falls from the heavens and flows to the earth and sea, just like light. If Tokyo has been flooded by time over and over, the truth in the deepest part of this sea should rain down. It's conceptually deeper than Akihabara's deep web and physically deeper than the pillars of light. Which is why that one genius thought all the valuable information came down here. On another note, there's a myth about sunken civilizations among the other worlds. They call it Atlantis, or Lemuria, or Mu. So maybe the memories of Tokyo's past is also in that Oceanic Realm.
Ryouta: GIANT WAVES!
MC: The water's rising! / Oh no! / (grab Ryouta's hand)

Flooded Shinagawa
Ryouta: ...wait what? Where are we?
MC: OH NO WE'RE DROWNI--oh wait, no we're not. Huh?
Turing: We're in the memories of Tokyo past that's dredged up because those two World Representatives clashed. Here you can see the deepest truth you've never seen before.
MC: what
Turing: You've been told tons of times about your past selves, but have you ever wondered if they're really you? Have you ever wondered which of them was really you? Or maybe none of them are. What makes you different from anyone else? Okay, time to head out! I'll guide you guys to Isaac! Careful, your greatest enemy may be down here.
Ominous silhouette!

Chapter 13 Episode 11: Transformation 2 (Abridged)

Ikebukuro Labyrinth. Shuichi is analyzing old loop data.
Shuichi: Ugh, there's so much that I can't process it all.
Moritaka: Maybe you should rest. You've been up all night.
Shuichi: I'm fine, I think I finally got the gist of the whole picture. If I understand what happened, I should have a better idea on what the three guilds are after. I'm also curious about what MC said about that Memory Fragment said. Can't stop to rest to figure what my BRRRROTHER is up to! Speaking of rest, you've been up this whole time helping me.
Moritaka: I'm okay, I train every day!
Shuichi: Oh okay. Wow, this is weird.
Moritaka: What is?
Shuichi: We go to the same dojo since forever yet this is like the first time we've really talked openly...you said your family's dead, right?

Moritaka: Yes, my mother, father, and dog are all dead. But I still have a childhood friend who is like a brother.
Shuichi: Hmm...
Moritaka: We went through so much together. He'd always keep smiling even with all the troubles he took on and work for people.
Shuichi: ...how wonderful for you.
Moritaka: Well I later found out he was ordered to assassinate me
Shuichi: wait what
Moritaka: But then we opened up to each other, became friends, and swore to not betray each other...it's thanks to him I'm able to trust people. He said he'd believe me no matter what happens.

Shuichi: ...I thought the same thing about my brother too.
Moritaka: oh
Shuichi: I thought we had something special...but then I learned there's no forever bond in the world. (looks down)
Shuichi: ...after looking at these records, I've started wondering if the World Representatives are like us. They know so much, but things they can't predict keep happening. Old feelings keep coming back to haunt us. And maybe only Gods can wish for absolutes.
Moritaka: what
Shuichi: Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer there. Just...we all have our histories. Oh, what's your friend's name?
Moritaka: Inukawa Sousuke Yoshito.

Later, Motosumi's temple
Motosumi: Okay we're here! All cool now!
Azazel: This place is still safe for now. Thank you, Taoshis.
Motosumi: No bigs. Like I said, can't let anyone attack kids. Plus we owe you guys for all your help too.
Azazel: Are you referring to the case Ryouta and Hanuman went on after we introduced them to you? Something about problems Asakusa was having with a Transient in Shibamata.
Motosumi: Yeah, Taishakuten. Our bancho fights him a lot, but we haven't seen him much lately. Now the fights are getting even more common! That's why we asked Gandharva to go talk to you. Don't know what he said, but he got Taishakuten to drop things! Holy shit that helps! So yeah, don't worry about things.
Azazel: Oh, okay. Excuse me, may I check on the children?
Motosumi: Sure, we'll take care of things. Go rest up. Also man I'm tired! We ran all the way from Shibuya! Two hours and forty minutes on foot according to google!

???: Tired, he says.
Yoshito: Get ready to shoot the target area at my command. Once they're in chaos, I'll slip in, make them betray each other, then take over the Portal. Now let's begin the oper--
Sanat Kumara: Stop. Minimize collateral, there is no need to involve the children.
Yoshito: ...why? Are you afraid of getting your hands dirty? There's no such thing as a clean revolution. Am I wrong?
Sanat: ...
Yoshito: You're an Invader. Act like it. I won't accept anyone who sits alone and won't get their hands dirty. If you want to help our revolution, prove it.
Sanat: I've...stepped away from them.
Yoshito: Okay, prove it then. Now as I was saying, begin the op--
Alice: Hi. Nighty night! The Mad Tea Party of Dreams!
The mobs go down!

Alice: Aww, look at you making new friends and leaving me behind...so you really joined the Invaders?
Sanat Kumara: ...
Alice: Any player can do whatever they want so long as they don't break the game. But as Game Masters, we have to keep it running smoothly and aren't allowed to support any one side. So, what do you have to say for yourself?
Sanat Kumara: ...nothing.
Alice: (shook)
Sanat Kumara: Our paths diverged, and now I'm an Invader.
Leanan Sidhe: Wait! What happened to you?
Sanat Kumara: ...Leanan?
Leanan: You were always aloof, but you were kind and never turned on anyone! It's why I trusted you with my heart!
Leanan sees her role as a curse. Anyone she gives her heart to and is accepted by die young, so she fears being accepted.
Leanan: You never picked a side even after fighting new people, so why!? This isn't like you!

Yoshito: ...well okay then. Sanat Kumara, can you attack your old friends?
Sanat: ...yes. I'll take care of Leanan.
Leanan: !!
Yoshito: Okay. I'll take the other two. Once we're done with that, we're moving onto the Taoshis. We can't take too long.
Alice: How bold of you to say you'll take us both alone.
Yoshito: ...I know much about you and Jambavan, Game Master Alice. Watch how my power turns your bonds against you.
Yoshito's sword activates!

Yoshito: So many people believe they alone won't turn traitor, but no one in the world has an unassailable self. Come, Sword of Treason!

Suddenly, Tokyo Cathedral
Christine: Hello, Rule Makers Guildmaster.
Karen Curren: Christine. Why are you here? And why aren't you with your Game Masters partner Alice?
Christine: How mean. You should already know she doesn't care about me and how she hired someone else to take my place. And now she's taken a big misstep. She's probably not going to have a part on stage anymore, but Leanan Sidhe looks like she'll be taken off too. So as the lead actress, I figure it's time to work harder to entertain my Master. But the management can't have me barging on stage. Anyways, I can't get in touch with Alice, so I came to inform you of things.
Curren: ...whatever, not my problem. I mean sure, us Geniuses stand higher than the Game Masters but we do not have the same intentions as Alice and the others. We're more observers than managers anyway...just like This Thing.
Curren displays her part of Mononobe's Memories on a monitor.

Christine: Oh my, what a striking likeness!
Karen Curren: You really just came to see this, didn't you?
Christine: Oh no, I would never. I know actors are supposed to be seen from a distance. But when I see him, in my heart I want to offer him a rose.
Curren: ...just watching huh? Well this thing is supposed to be like us that way. It was always watching the trophy, and it was supposed to do it at a distance like us, with no special feelings. But then Robert decided to join the field, and now Isaac is too. I'm still busy trying to figure out why, but I'll watch your program.
Chrstine: Please do, and enjoy. Things will be starting soon, and may the show our full cast put on please my Master! Hahaha!

Chapter 13 Episode 10: Transformation 1 (Abridged)

Asakusa, the city to the northeast of Akihabara and Ueno with many relics of the past century. Many Transients come to sightsee, and many get hurt at the huge festival at Umamichi Academy. It's never a dull moment as hotblooded students come in from everywhere, and they say that you can find a fight just by turning the corner.
Katsushika Shibamata is also a place steeped in traditions. It's a place where natives and Transients that feel something for their home worlds, and there's always something going on. That meant Asakusa and Shibamata became something like rivals. And there's some Transients really quick to fight that fights never stop around them.
Flashback!

Taishakuten: Shibamata's number one! (punches Sanat Kumara) Heh, you're the only one who can tank my best punches.
Sanat Kumara is the one who brought Asakusa and Shibamata together, and the truthy rumors claim has been in the school way before this year's new students. He only ever does anything when things threaten blow up badly, and he minimizes the danger as much as possible. If someone is treading their own paths, he'll never step in to stop their growth. That said, he'll never stand for injustice and inhumanity or irrationality. He also tends to get in the way of people needing trials. He always stands alone, and that was his stance as he watched over Taito's peace for so long.

Present
This is the border area between the East and South. The Rule Makers World Reps aren't showing up. Masanori is commanding the Invaders attack force, but he's losing interest.

Masanori: We need to take control of 20% of the East and/or West's Portals, but this attack isn't going anywhere. We need a new attack plan. Perun and Temujin are leading the attack on the Warmongers, but they're probably fighting against Teda and Marduk. That's probably not ending anytime soon, so we need to cut down the middle. (looks at map) Hmm...based on what the Warmongers scouts are like...Yoshito!
Yoshito: Present.
Masanori: Sorry, I got dirty work for you again.
Yoshito: Good. We've both hurt people close to us, so I trust you.
Masanori: Thank you. Go to Taito and sabotage them internally.
Yoshito: Okay. What's the dirty part?
Masanori: ...I want to know how resolved our new friend Sanat Kumara really is. Meaning...I want to know how dirty he'll get his hands. We have many new sympathizers, but are they true believers? Can you see if he's really left his old connections behind?
Yoshito: Okay. Viva la revolución.
Masanori: Indeed. Viva la revolución.
Yoshito: These hands they have betrayed our friendship, Moritaka. But the world will change soon! And then I can see you again...

Earlier at Shibuya when Invaders mobs were attacking the Missionaries
Azazel: The rain stopped for now. We should go now if we're moving.
Azazel has been using his artifact to observe the rain.

Azazel: Follow us, children!
Later in Shibuya

Invaders Mobs: Stop!
Children: Eek!
Taoshi Assist!

Motosumi: No threatening little kids! Get bent punks!
Sanat Kumara is watching.

BATTLE START (more happens later)

The Asakusa Taoshis normally don't do group work. There's lots of fights within the guild. They may all be Umamichi students, but not all Umamichi students join them. Or they join some other guilds like the Outlaws (Tetsugyuu), Summoners (Hanuman), nobody (Sarutahiko), or the Warmongers (Nezha). And then there are people who join in from other schools (Jiraiya). The members come and go depending on how they feel, so you could say the guild has no unity. That said, they do have one thing in common: their actions are based on the tao, the path. Does the logic follow or not? Will their paths become realized? If something's in the way, they'll fight. If things follow their path, then they'll get respect from anyone.
Sanat Kumara is not a Taoshi, but his actions have deeply influenced the Taoshis' formation. He's always watching over people as they grow and take their own paths. One faith claims he came from the far reaches of space to watch over the evolution of humanity. He hopes they'll one day reach him, but when they do he'll stand in the way to give them their greatest trial as an initiation.

Present
Motosumi: Azazel, take the kids and hide behind me! Let's go, Vajra of Indra! BOOM! Go you guys!
Gouryou and Li Chou follow up!
Azazel: ...we're going to be okay now. Run, children!
Aoyama Cemetery

Maria: Jacob! Azazel says they've successfully escaped!
Maria's using her artifact as a rain shelter.

Maria: Everyone left at Aoyama has moved to Asakusa. We should leave too and regroup!
Jacob: Yes, Guildmaster.

Maria: Israfil, we're taking Zabaniya's body back one day!
Israfil: Aww, how bold. You remind me of that one saint. But soon...the Last Judgement! I look forward to your despair!
Maria: We will stop you for sure.
Israfil: You are mistaken. It is less that you won't lose and more the world will not even let you lose. So let me tell you something because it will make you suffer more later. One of Eden's twelve little prophecies says in the fight between God and Man, Man wins. Normal people might wonder how God could possibly lose to Man, but they'd be sorely mistaken. A God can win or lose by their own will, but Man is always handed his defeats. They don't get to choose. Which means only God can give Man true defeat! That's what the Last Judgement really is! Okay bye now! Hahahaha!

Chapter 13 Episode 9: Opening Fire in the Storm 3 (Abridged)

The guild that has Tokyo Babel Tower as their Portal is the Taito Ward Oshiage Game Masters, the guild that manages the game happening in Tokyo. They normally act in two man cells with the Entertainers, but Alice who manages the Shinjuku and Shibuya areas is working with someone from some other guild. Their main job is to remove obstructions to the game, but they get the special privilege of hiding their actual affiliations and claim to be part of some other guild, which they use for infiltration. Alice isn't the only Game Master of course, so other members watch over other areas. There's Leanan Sidhe and Santa Kumara who are in charge of Taito's Akihabara and Asakusa areas. Leanan is a Creator and secretly investigating them since not even the Game Masters can figure out what their deal is.
The Creators guildmaster is Turing, a computer genius and authority on AI. The Creators are a fortress in the information war that even the Game Masters have trouble with, and the Game Masters need to know everything to manage the game. They sent in Leanan Sidhe, who found out that Turing is secretly connected with the Invaders. Sanat Kumara was then sent in to investigate further.

Sanat Kumara has the power to share memories by connecting to another person's mind. He's smart and honest, and Leanan trusts him deeply. He also has his own wish that works with his managerial supervising, so people thought he'd be best against the Invaders. But then he started doing things the Game Masters couldn't understand...
Flashback!

Police: We need help in Akihabara with a riot!
Sanat Kumara: Jedi mind trick!
Police: WHAT
poof!

Police: ...what happened? A riot? What riot?
Sanat Kumara has been hiding some of his actions and won't explain himself to Leanan Sidhe. And then, Sanat Kumara finally took direct action by kidnapping Akiha Gongen and disappearing. With him was Daikoku, also known as Onamuji no Mikoto, or Okuninushi.

Present
Alice: So was all that exposition right?
Leanan Sidhe: ...yes, mostly.
Jambavan: The tea we ordered is here! Here you go Alice, Leanan Sidhe.
Leanan: Thank you...
This is the community workspace that the Creators go to often. Alice called Leanan here to go over their information together.

Alice: I'm glad you aren't an enemy. But Sanat Kumara... (sips tea) ...you say he seems to have changed?
Leanan: ...he isn't Sanat Kumara. He'd never attack someone without provocation. He'd never be taken in by fame or temptation, so I was glad to pair up with him. I can't believe he'd go kidnap someone...it's like someone's pretending to be him.
Alice: ...it's likely the Invaders did something to him then. And they're using him as part of their forces? Sanat doesn't seem like the type to be done in so easily though.
Alice knows how strong Sanat is, and that it shouldn't be possible for anyone to unilaterally change his mind given his power.

Alice: ...Sanat Kumara should at least be capable of dragging an opponent down with him, so why? Oh whatever, we should think about other things.
Jamabavan: Like Daikoku, or...?
Alice: Sanat Kumara of course. Daikoku is working as an individual with the Invaders, and at the moment he's never gone past that line. Sanat however is a veteran Game Master, and if he's backing one group, we need to find out why. You're helping, Leanan Sidhe. Understood?
Leanan nods.

Alice: Okay, time to go...wherever it is we're going. I guess we have to start with eyewitness testimony for Sanat Kumara. He went to Umamichi in Asakusa, right? Know anything from around there?
Leanan: Umamich Academy is the Asakusa Taoshis' Portal. They're really old school, and Sanat Kumara is their main gang boss. He likes that school, but there's always something happening with all the punks and scrappers there. His eyes were always shining, but after he disappeared, some problem happening in Katsushika Shibamata came back.
Alice: What?

Leanan Sidhe: Shibamata has this one Transient who's really strong in a fight. He's, uh...Taishakuten? Sanat Kumara threw hands with him one time and really enjoyed it.
Alice: Hmm...let's go investigate Asakusa since it's close by.
Jamabavan: You think he'll show up for old friends if it's someone he has a connection to?
Alice: Yes...if he was the old Sanat Kumara.
Leanan: (frown)
Alice: Even if he doesn't, we might find clues of what he did and--
Thunderclap!
Jambavan: EEK
Alice: ...hmm. The storm's already reached parts of Minato and Chiyoda to the south of here. (looks at weather report)
Alice: We'd best get on a move on since I doubt the East and West will sit around.
Jambavan: Alice, you remember that I'm really part of the Ueno guild? I'm really only helping you part time so I'd like to go ba--OW
Alice: Move your butt if you don't want me pulling on it.
Jambavan: Okay...I hope everyone is okay.
Leanan: Sanat Kumara...

Meanwhile, at some safehouse Daikoku set up under a fake name and made to keep people away
Daikoku: ...Sanat Kumara? Where are you going? I'd rather you stay here as my bodyguard. Also this is my last safehouse...curse Hougen and his underlings being cleverer than I thought and pinning down my other safehouses. And the Warmongers figured out who I really am...
Sanat Kumara: Just have that crow tengu you brought here guard you.
Daikoku: ...
Sanat: Or you could get Takeminakata to do that. It's unnecessary for me to stay and guard you, and I have other things to do. I want to see how everyone in Asakusa is doing.
Daikoku: Ooh, did you have a change of heart?
Sanat: ...the Asakusa Taoshis have just allied with the Aoyama Missionaries. (pulls out phone)

Sanat Kumara: The remaining members of the Missionaries have evacuated to the school in Taito, but far as I know the Transients in Asakusa are still fighting.
Daikoku: ...and you think you can show yourself to your old friends? After helping the Invaders to bring this chaos to Tokyo?
Sanat: ...I haven't changed in my feelings towards my kouhais.
Daikoku: Haha, I hope they feel the same towards you...oh excuse me. Okay fine, there's always someone else. It's you and I switched to the Invaders with our own things going on. But I'll never join the Rule Makers. I have nothing after this, so I'm throwing everything into this operation to make it work. Safe travels then.
Sanat: ... (leaves)

Daikoku: Now then.
Akiha Gongen: (frowns)
Daikoku: Have you calmed down? Do you know who I am?
Akiha: ...Onamuji no Mikoto. Or Okuninushi. You were the World Representative of my world once. Why are you claiming to be Daikoku?
Daikoku: Precisely for the reasons you just said! I USED to be a World Representative, but now "Okuninushi" means nothing in the hierarchy of things! So I'm using Daikoku's name and Shadow and powers...though it's pulled half off now. You are someone who could be my Divided Spirit, so do you know why I brought you here? Tokyo's order is falling and the Hierarchy System is turning over.
Akiha: ...what?

Daikoku: Yes, you'd be done in if you stayed in Akihabara. You're welcome for that.
Akiha: I-I'm sorry milord, I have to go back and--
Daikoku: ...no. You and Takeminakata must serve me.
Akiha: Takeminakata is here in Tokyo???
Daikoku: Yes! You swore loyalty once before, didn't you? Well now's the time to show that loyalty!
Akiha: (frown)
Daikoku: Hahahahaha!
How wretched and pitiful to pull rank with a bluff on a ranking that doesn't exist anymore. All he's doing is taking advantage of guilt and compassion.

Daikoku: I've given up what's left of my pride. You'll get yours, Amaterasu!
Daikoku (narrating): And I'll do anything to make it happen! If this Invaders plot works, my position will flip around. This is my last wish, and I've given up everything else about myself because I have nothing else to do!

Elsewhere
Shinya: !!
Perun: Hmph. So you've run away using your minions as a shield, Shinya Tennouji. Well they're mine now!
Temujin: (barfs blood) ...well that was embarrassing. I'll settle things with Shinya next time. I must!
Temujin thinks about how he became ruler of the steppes after winning against Jamukha. His name became legend, and he became World Representative. Now he can't stop being a conqueror, or else there'd be no point to his cutting down Jamukha.
Temujin: ...yes, I chose to cut down even my sworn friend, so all I can do is continue walking on alone as a conqueror.
Perun: Hahaha! Yes, pillage and burn!
Temujin: The time for invasion has come!
Shinya: ...Kalki! Taromaiti!
The city burns as Shinya runs off alone and wounded.

Akihabara
Ulaanbaatar punches out some mobs.

Ulaanbaatar: Meeeeh, this smells just like Xanadu when shit was going down.
There was a time in Xanadu when all the crises were happening, so the son of some divine king came down on a rope of light and incarnated on the earth. He became a hero and fought since he was young and punched out like all the disasters. That hero's name is still revered. Once he was done, he declared he was retiring and said "mkay, I'mma lie down now and not do anything."
Flashback!

Akiha Gongen: Senpai! You have to go to practice and classes!
Ulaanbaatar: Nah. Let's kick back together and have fun Akiha!
Akiha: I can't, even if you are the one advising me!
Ulaanbaatar has zero motivation and makes zero effort to hide that fact.

Ulaanbataar: Pffft, my Tokyo life motto is "no zeal and no drive." I mean come on, I had to work nonstop back in my world once, so I should at least get to not bust my ass here and take a load off. I'm in my own trashy isekai LN, but in reverse!
Akiha: >:(
Ulaanbaatar: Aww, don't be like that.
Akiha: Go to practice! We have to save the town if something bad happens!
Ulaanbaatar: Fiiiine, one more minut--ow, stop pulling!
Present
The fire station alarm is ringing.

Ulaanbaatar: Meh. Where'd Akiha go? He's not the type to run if there's trouble, so...oh fine nobody else is here to do it. Time to show my old chops.

Chapter 13 Episode 8: Opening Fire in the Storm 2 (Abridged)

One of the big three guilds is the Invaders, based in Shinagawa. The seven World Representatives there can penetrate deep into others to change their dignity, their future, or even their faith. They can revolutionize a person's identity without it being recognized as an attack, and those affected can even start behaving like they worshipped or loved them from the beginning. All the World Representatives in that guild have changed the world just by existing.
One of the Representatives is Shinya Tennouji, World Representative of Olympus. He is unmistakably human, but he has also been selected to serve Zeus's role in his place. In Olympus Zeus was chosen to be connected by the bond of love to all things, and anyone who was important or had power was made to be connected to him as a lover, descendant, or blood relative. That in turn led Shinya to have the power to be loved by everyone just by existing. His original family was destroyed by this because of the fights that resulted.

Present
Perun: Shinya Tennouji. You were once one of us, and in other loops you were our enemy. We're paying you back now for what you've done to us!
Kalki: I object! I was born to destroy, but I came to know love here and shall fight for it.
Taromaiti: Don't forget about me. I was moved by how hard Shinya tried to protect Tokyo, and I won't let you Invaders destroy it!
Perun: Nuisances! Volkh, clear the way.
Volkh: Yes, Your Majesty! Fight me, minions!
Taromaiti: We're his friends, thank you!
Volkh: Behold the power of the Werewolf Prince!
POW

Volkh: Heh.
Kalki: I can't believe he's holding me back on his own!
Taromaiti: Keep him there! Flanking attack, go!
Volkh: Stop!
Taromaiti: ...what!?
Volkh raised an arm and froze the air to stop Taromaiti.

Taromaiti: I THOUGHT I recognized you! This is almost...actually it's exactly the same power as Horokeu Kamui's!
Shinya: You did it again, didn't you Perun?
Taromaiti: What?

Shinya: Perun has the power to grind and mix memories. Volkh Vseslav must be mixed with another Transient!
Perun: Correct! I added Complete Loyalty to Horokeu Kamui so he's now both Horokeu Kamui and Volkh Vseslav and neither of them! He's still strong enough to hold off two people at once, hahaha! Also what right do you have to speak with your nature of charming everyone and their grandmother? Is the friendships your friends have with you REAL?
Shinya: ...!
Perun: Can you truly declare you have not inflicted madness upon their selves?
Shinya: No...no! I never did that!
Perun: You can do that without lifting a finger, so you might as well act like kings as we do. You spout false words of friendship and bandy a shallow justice while turning your eyes away from your own karma and--
Shinya: YOU SHUT UP
Perun: Haha! (blocks arrow) Just like that! You use your sweet words to lower my guard and attack me!
The chestplate that is supposed to be Zeus's is shining.
Perun: Roppongi Academy has already fallen! My power shall crush your egos and make you part of my history! Indoeuro Thunder Crash!
Kalki and Taromaiti: Shinya, get away!
Shinya: Kalki! Taromaiti!

Roppongi
Baron: Y-you would turn against us? AGH
Servant Mobs: For Perun, the true king!
Roppongi Academy buildings are being destroyed and exposing the students to the rain! The place is falling to the Invaders!
Ifrit: Hey you! Eat shit! Fire Punch! (pow!) HA! Seriously though, what now? I hope Nobuharu's okay...huh?
Takeminakata: ...
Ifrit: Haven't I seen you somewhere? Oh right, you're one of the Tycoons leaders with a name. The sumo guy, Takem--ow, what the hell man!?
Takeminakata: (stares in traditional Japanese)
Ifrit: Are they controlling you!? Say something dammi--OW! Nobu...haru...
Takeminakata: (frowns)

Some Tycoons safehouse
Melusine: Master Licht, the scout has returned.
Licht: Oh! Bring him in.
Melusine: I have concerns he may be affect by the enemies...
Licht: Nah, he's fine. Bring him in.
Touji: I'm back. How are you, Licht?
This is the Tycoons' last safehouse Licht kept somewhere. Touji keeps watch as he goes in.

Licht: I'm glad to see you doing well, Touji.
Touji: The rain has some spiritual attack enchanted in. I'd be affected if I didn't have barrier magic. (shows some seal on his hand)

Licht: This must be an Invaders plot. Everyone touched by the rain shows mental abnormalities and enemy soldiers are forcing people outside. We just lost contact with our remaining forces at Roppongi Academy...the Tycoons as a group are done. We don't know if there's a traitor, and since nobody actually died or whatever, I can't collect on their powers. The other leaders must have been backstabbed or something, though I don't think they've been done in that easy...
Touji: (frown)
Licht: Thank you again to you and the Summoners for helping us. Your ability to stop the enemy mind hack means we have some room to maneuver.
Touji: Yeah about that. I saw a traitor contact enemy forces.
Licht: Takeminakata!?
Touji: Yes, I saw him slap down Ifrit. I don't know if he's mind controlled though...
Licht: No. If it's Takeminakata, I know that possibility is out.
Touji: ...you're sure?

Licht: Yes. First of all, the mental attack rain seems to be someone else's power. Anyone hit by the rain hasn't actively helped the Invaders even if they were put into a trance. Also we know the latter is being caused by Perun and his millstone artifact's power to change history. It brainwashes people to think they were always his servants. I can't get into it now, but it can't work on Takeminakata for being Unrecorded. It's also why I thought he'd be our ace against the Invaders.
Touji: So he's choosing to help them out purely by his own will?
Licht: ...does anyone really have their own will? Actually never mind the philosophy question, I can at least answer you with my guesses. So unlike most of us, Takeminakata isn't the type to turn coat over self interest. That means he must have been ordered to do so by someone he knew before coming to Tokyo.
Touji: what

Licht: Previous vows cannot be broken. Hierarchy things... anyways, sorry but I need you to look into someone else Touji. Takamagahara's former World Represntative. He used to be Onamuji no Mikoto, and later he became Okuninushi. That's who Takeminakata served before, and I'm highly certain he's helping the Invaders out.
Touji: Wait I don't understand what's happening anymore. What do our enemies want?
Licht: Do they even see us as enemies...? I bet even this rain is just some end goal setup. You remember Rule 1 of this game? Majority trumps everything. The Berserkers and Wisemen proved it in an experiment back when we were still fighting against each other
Licht: ...you know, I've always thought we had the order of things backwards in this attack.
Touji: what
Licht: We thought the East was moving faster than the South, and that the Missionaries were attacked first before the Tycoons. Tactically speaking it should be the case, but the Invaders are going at everything backwards. I don't like making guesses on top of other guesses, but the Invaders might be trying to pull a revolution on the game's Law of Hierarchy and pulling everyone in Tokyo into participating!

Chapter 13 Episode 7: Opening Fire in the Storm 1 (Abridged)

Everyone thinks they know themselves best. They think they know everything there is to know in a closed off world. Do you remember how you spent your days in the past? Do you remember what kind of person you were?
There are many labels, and people have the sense they were given one before they had a dream about who they wanted to be. They had labels because they were slightly better than average at something, they didn't need to be perfect at it. They got labels whether or not they wanted it, and many people thought that was everything to their world.
One day, people hear things are coming to an end. People are thrown out of their ruts and think as they look back: what was I thinking? It doesn't take long for a memory to become part of the past. But what if those days never end? What future lies down that path?

Present
Weather Report: A giant storm is approaching fast! Incoming from the south and spreading to the east and west! Please head to your nearest shelter!
Masanori: Viva la revolución!
Somewhere in Tokyo

Randos: Oh my god this rain is weird!
Kabukicho

Policeman: Don't get wet! Head to shelter and--whomst
Camoflaugers appear!

Randos: OH NO THE ROOF COLLAPSED
Invaders mobs are pulling organized sabotage of roofs across Tokyo! Randos scream in fear upon being hit by the rain, but the tone changes over time. It's like their minds are being absorbed into something and feeling relief at finally finding home in terms of oddly specific comparisons.

Weird Elsewhere
It's warm and nostalgic, with a sense of homesickness. It feels like anything you've lost is here. It feels like home, like you can stop here and have a happily ever after.

???: Shirou! Shirou!
Who's calling?

Shirou: ...uungh?
So close. If he let go, he'd be together with that sense of nostalgia...

Kengo: WAKE THE FUCK UP SHIROU (slap)
Shirou: ...??? What? K-Kengo?
Kengo: Don't give me that! Where the hell are we, and is MC okay!?
Shirou: Oh! MC! Right, we got hit by some weird rain and...
Shirou looks around. There looks to be an abyss that goes on forever sucking things in like a black hole. The void, it CaLlS. And Shirou can't explain why it feels so tempting.

Kengo: seriously what the hell man. Figure anything out yet, nerdlin--OOF
Shirou: Oh good, that feels familiar. I remember now.
Kengo: OH MY GOD Shirou, you can't just hit people with the corner of your book!
Shirou: Shut up, you hit ME first! Anyways...how are we underwater but not drowning? Feels like if I let my guard down, my mind will melt into the water...but we have to get out of here. Any ideas Kengo? ...Kengo?
Kengo: Who's there!?

Isaac: ...wow, you could pick me out? Your Wild Animal Instinct skill must be amazing.
Shirou: ...a boy?
Kengo: Spill your guts before I make you spill them for real!
Isaac: Oh wow, you're treating me as an equal? Awesome, thanks.
Shirou: ...will you tell us what you know about this place? No wait actually, are you the reason we're here?
Kengo: !!
Isaac: Not really. You guys came to me.
Shirou: what
Isaac: Your minds came into contact with my existence. Everything you've lost is down here, which is why it feels so familiar to you. It's the Promised Land of Consciousness and Knowledge. A mind hive, I guess?
Shirou: Who are you...?
Isaac: Me? Well...they used to call me Isaac. I'm the Invaders guildmaster.

Hikarigaoka
Mobs: Halt! AttenTION!
Yoritomo: Hear me, soldiers. This rain is abnormal, a Mental Corruption attack by the Invaders. Touch it, and you will be taken elsewhere. But we still have Marduk and Teda, and as sun gods they can push back against the rain. We can't just defend the whole time though, so we need to send scouts. Nezha, you lead.
Nezha: Ooh, ooh! Is it time for me to do something?
Yoritomo: Yes, you can use your power to shield yourself and the group from rain and head to enemy territory.
Nezha: Okay, vroom vroom!
Yoritomo: Begin the operation. Fortune find you in battle.
Mobs: SIR YES SIR
Yoritomo: ...hmm. This reminds me of that one disastrous time.
There was this one loop where everything changed forever. Everyone thought they were innocent up until then, and they believed there'd be an end to the fighting. They thought someone would win the trophy.
Yoritomo: ...but Tokyo's game was set up to be endless since then. I was promised a political stalemate by the time I was summoned here.
The 23 other worlds have been gathered into the three big guilds and set up so that no majority will form. No complete ending will be reached, and the last majority is made to be forever prolonged...

Aoyama Cemetery
Israfil: Ye lost lambs wandering a wasteland for eternity. How saaaad. Which is why Tokyo's history must end. So many sins piling up as people can go nowhere. Oh, how I cannot stand to see such suffering. But therein lies the Lord's mercy. Hahaha, oh how SAAAD!
Jacob: Is that your goal? Allow me to respond. (punch!)
Jacob: I say to you: NO! Our guildmaster Maria says the greatest love is letting people choose their own paths and walking them. If the world has an ending, everyone should get there their own way, and I will punch out even God if he stands in the way of that.
Israfil: Oh, how NOBLE! But Jacob, do you understand what it is you've said!?

Elsewhere
Randos: Oh no, people with guns that way!
Camoflaugers approach!

???: Stop. Shinya wishes not for Tokyo's people to come to harm. If you persist...
Kalki: Then face me! Vishnu's Tenth Avatar! (stab!)
Kalki: ...stop standing there, citizens! Run!
Taromaiti: I'll never let anyone harm my paradise! Azi Dahaka Smash!
Randos: Oh my god, is that Phantom Thief Asterism, that mystery trio that protects the weak?
Temujin: HA! Shinya, the weak adore you. Fine scam you're pulling!
Shinya: ...Cupid, shoot his arrow down!
Temujin: You always were like that ever since I first met you that loop, weren't you? You were chosen to be Zeus's stand-in and given great power, so now the people can't help but love you. But how long do you plan to pretend to be their ally? You are WASTING your power. Do you know what you want to do? You could just act like a World Representative already!

Shinya: ...I didn't want this power. Or this role.
Temujin: Heh, yes. What you're doing is spiting the power that destroyed your family.
Shinya: ...Temujin--
Temujin: Everyone fights over you, and you could just play the proud king. But you keep playing at a humble life...and you lost your home. Former Invaders and ally, all you are doing trying to help people is struggling to retrieve what you lost. You know it is all in vain since it will never come back.
Shinya: YOU SHUT UP
Temujin: Hahah--(barfs blood)--urgh!
Shinya: Cupid, shoot his heart now!
Temujin: !!
???: HA!
Shinya: ...!
Perun: Haha, you slipped up because you keep playing around Temujin.
Temujin: ...Perun.
Perun: The Warmongers are moving, so playtime with the ignorant is over. Let us clean up like so much wheat to grind.
Kalki and Taromaiti step in!

Kalki and Taromaiti: Shinya!
Perun: Oh, a 3v3 is it? We've got no time for this. The revolution that will end it all is at hand!

Chapter 13 Episode 6: Heaven Reversal 3 (Abridged)

One of the worlds connected to Tokyo is a world composed of many subrealms, the World of Oceanic Myths. All civilization is born from the sea, which go on to fall to corruption and end before returning back to the sea. Lumia Kanaloa is one of these subrealms, and its creator is Tangaroa. Tangaroa is said to originally be a great dragon carrying a giant clam on his back. He split the clam to create the heavens and earth, and his flesh and bones gave birth to plants and animals.
On the island, humans prospered happily in the beginning. The dragon who gave up everything besides his name and spirit was celebrated by the human tribes, and the strongest from all of these tribes carried on his name and bone staff. The current Tangaroa is also someone of unparalleled wisdom and courage that everyone praised. When facing off against a foreign invader, he created a link between people who came from yet another world known as Tokyo to settle the incident. He then came to Tokyo with his family to study more for the sake of his home world's future. He was filled with newfound joy...or at least, he was supposed to be.

Present
Tangaroa Inf.: Burn and pillage! HAHAHA!
Optic camo wearing camouflagers spread out through Tokyo to cause chaos.

???: Stop, evildoers!
Kalki to the rescue!

Kalki: I see through your tricks! Noble Phantasm!
Mobs defeated!
Taromaiti: Knight in shining armor coming for the save! Dahaka Stab!
More mobs defeated! Kalki and Taromaiti celebrate for a second when Temujin takes aim...

???: Get down you two!
Shinya counter shoots Temujin's arrow!

Temujin: Impressive. Are you still going to get in our way?
Shinya: Temujin...
Kalki and Taromaiti: Shinya!

More mobs cut Kalki and Taromaiti off from regrouping with Shinya.
Kalki and Taromaiti: !!
Temujin: Why aren't you doing your job, Proxy of Zeus? We have been promised the world's hegemony, so we should burn and pillage everything. Shouldn't you do your role in Zeus's place since he can't come to Tokyo?
Shinya: ...I am a native human born and raised here, so I will protect this city. I will not play along with this game.
Temujin: Ha. But you cannot escape your role it seems. Yours makes you form connections with everyone the way Zeus did. All will love you and seek you, and that's why you don't have a happy family anymore.
Shinya: ...!
Temujin: You have power, and the world permits you to trample upon the weak. You have no other way to enjoy your life!
Shinya: ...but I still can't forget my happy memories of my earlier life.
Shinya thinks about the memories of innocent times that can never come back.

Shinya: Those memories support me. I will never give up!
Temujin: Have you heard that the road to hell is paved with good intentions? Somebody from Eden said that. You know the order is reversed, right? Everything started from the tragedies held by all the World Representatives gathered here in Tokyo.
Temujin thinks of his old friend from Xanadu and grinds his teeth about happier times.

Temujin: Yes, the summoning trigger for all us Transients was tragedy. That was why we sought our past happiness, the trophy. You should know Shinya. Things did not start with happiness in the beginning. It started from the tragedy of endings. The difference between the happiness that highlights the tragedies is necessary for this game!

Rainbow Bridge
Tangaroa is firing Main Plot Beams from his writhing tentacles!

MC: WHAT
Gogo flashback! Canaan flashback!

MC: I remember, Tangaroa!
Tangaroa Inf.: HAHAHA! That's me, creator of Lumia Kanaloa! And now I'm the World Representative of the World of Oceanic Myths! Burn and pillage!
MC: Why do you look like that!?
Tangaroa Inf.: MINIONS!
Shadows start appearing behind Tangaroa Inf.

MC: Who? ...wait!
Tangaroa Inf.: These are the Shadows of the humiliated Wakan Tanka has no reason to know! The memories of my formerly pure family who came with me to this hive of corruption!
Shadow Mobs: I wAnNa Go hOmE!!

Tangaroa Inf.: That primal desire to return is my faith and power! Return it all to the sea, Devilfish of Ancient Times!
Tangaroa Inf. parts the nearby sea and sends all the tentacles at MC!

MC: OH NO
Wakan Tanka Inf. defends MC with a gale!

MC: !?
Tangaroa Inf.: Stop getting in the way or I'll drag you into corruption too!
Wakan Inf.: Leave. No one may approach me.
Rain and thunder fight against whirlpools and tentacles. Nobody present is safe.

Tangaroa Inf.: I will drag everything to the bottom of the sea even if I am defeated! HAHA!
A loud scream arises as another attack is thrown at MC. Nothing will survive...unless the miracle of resurrection is there.
MC: I gotta hide! (runs behind Wakan)
Crow: (stares in bird)
BATTLE START (more happens later)

There are many worlds connected to Tokyo, like Eden, Gehenna, or their prototype Garothman. In these worlds is a System of faith and System of the end, the Last Judgment. That belief says that when the end of times arrives, angels will soak the world in tears of blood and sorrow. All sins committed in the land will then be judged, and people will be sent to either heaven or hell.
This world's end is awaiting the inescapable Last Judgment. No crime, no evil will be overlooked. And so Eden's faith decrees that all live just lives serving it. The selected ending starts the reversal of thoughts. This is the System that first has the ending be defined, then works backwards to determine the past and present.

Aoyama
Boy A: I'm scared!
Shibuya is also under attack!
Azazel: It's okay children we will protect you.
Azazel looks around. Barely any angels are left because of the true big three guild shenanigans.

Azazel: So all we have left are fallen angels like me and people with nowhere else to go...
Mobs break into the church and threaten everyone.
Mobs: Don't resist. Get outside.
Azazel: Please wait, there's an emergency evac--
A mob shoots the ceiling!
Azazel: !!
Mob: I said get out.
Azazel: ... (grasps his binding chains)
Azazel: (...I see. Their goal must be exposing everyone to that rain. Maybe I could do something if my true power weren't sealed by this chain...)
Azazel's true form has seven snake heads and fourteen wings and can totally stomp all the mobs, but it's bound by the chains on him. They are shining, which means their original owner is in Tokyo now.

Azazel: (So you are here, Israfil...)

Aoyama Cemetery
Maria: Zabaniya why
Jacob: (stands in front of Maria) Maria, you must not let what you see mislead you. The memories in my hands tell me the one in front of us is Israfil. He is the angel of Eden who comes at the end of the world, the Last Judgment!
Israfil: Yep, that's me. I am a sad, sad angel who only feels the joy of living when people die! Haha!
The Thing wearing Zabaniya's Shadow and calls himself Israfil smiles suspiciously!

Israfil: A pretender savior appears on the earth to start various wars and calamity.
Israfil is singing while making his rain fall???
Israfil: The Lord's tears of blood become rain that falls on the sins of man. Isn't is just so SAD? Hahaha!

Jacob: Israfil do you look the way you do because of this rain?
Israfil: Yes, we are fated to move towards one ending, just like how Zabaniya and I have fused. Nothing can be hidden. All sins will be brought to the light. That is the one path to the lord, and this rain of blessings will wash all sins away and connect all life into one being through Instrumentality!
The rain and wind is getting stronger!
Maria: Holy Nails of Stigmata!
Maria grows her vines with her blood to make them into a bigger shelter for her and Jacob!

Israfil: What sad resistance you put up, false messiah. You think to protect everyone in Tokyo? You don't have THAT much blood.
Maria: ...so you know how my artifact works because you have Zabaniya's memories?
Israfil: I said we fused two minutes ago. Your artifact atones for life through blood.
Maria's artifact can heal by sharing pain and spilling her own blood.
Israfil: You think your blood alone can pay for everyone's sins?
Maria: ...
Maria grabs the vine harder as she looks Israfil in the eye.

Maria: No, this isn't a waste. And I am not alone.

Maria thinks of the Missionaries, Ryouta, and MC.
Maria: Even if I don't share the pain, or understand people, or separate to my own way, we have all chosen our own paths. Maybe all I am is a girl who cries and bleeds for others.
Maria thinks of Ryouta and MC again.
Maria: But there are people who will accept the blood and tears I shed. There are people who will cut the threads of tragedy that bind me with their strength.
Everyone does their best flailing around on their chosen path.

Maria: People can choose their own paths no matter how foolish or dangerous they may be, just like the man who carried the cross on his back up the hill of Golgotha.
Maria thinks about how that man she has no relation to passed down her name and choices to her. She was supposed to die a nobody, but he gave her another path. What is that if not love? So she chose to pick up after him and spill her blood after him. It hurts, but it was her choice.
Maria: Israfil, you say? Maybe things will go the way you said they will in the end. Maybe it all ends the same way. But what meaning is there in a path forced on us?
Maria believes the ability to choose is the meaning of life, and the ability to choose is love. She will never stray from this path because doing so would deny the things that one man left her.

Maria: ...I will not repeat myself on this. Please give back Zabaniya's body this instant. We will all choose our own paths!
Jacob: Well said, Maria! Blind Man's Punch!
Israfil: !!

Aoyama
The mobs are taken down!

Azazel: Who...?
Motosumi: You kids alright? We're from the Asakusa guild, and the guildmaster sent us to help! We'll pay you guys back for the help you gave us on the Asakusa-Katsushika Shibamata problem!
Hanuman: Hi I'm back! Did we just make it!?
Aoyama Cemetery
Jacob: Maria, a message from the Portal. Hanuman has brought reinforcements from Asakusa!
Maria: Hanuman! Ryouta!

Rainbow Bridge
MC is getting blown around by the storm!

Tangaroa Inf.: FUCK YOU ALL
Tangaroa Inf. manages to break Wakan Tanka Inf.'s guard for a moment!

MC: OH NO (blown into the sky)
Tangaroa Inf.: This water is the blood of my family! You start remembering! YOU start remembering! EVERYBODY START REMEMBERING!
MC: OH NO!
Ryouta: I am here to help! Blessings of the Grail!

Ryouta sucks all the memories into his Grail!
MC: Ryouta! Oh my god, thanks!
Ryouta: Hehe, leave it to me!
MC: How'd you know I was here? The phones were down.
Ryouta: Yeah that was a huge surprise when I found out! But I figured you were in trouble, so I asked the thunder of Taishakuten where you were! Neat, huh? He said something about some sort of mixed human was walking around at Rainbow Bridge, I don't get what he meant by that. Also the Asakusa guild is helping us! Conditionally, but still! ...where's Shirou and Kengo?
MC: Well...

One explanation later
Ryouta: Oh...sorry I wasn't there for you earlier. But I'm here now so you won't have to suffer alone! They're totally gonna be okay!
MC: ...thanks. (hug)
Ryouta: Tee hee.
Ryouta: Oh yeah, Taishakuten's Thunder from Katsushika told me something.
A message from the Transient said to be the bearer of the same power of thunderstorms in another world.
Ryouta: This rain isn't natural. Every drop has someone's memories in it. And if that's true, there's someone's power to assimilate these memories with whoever they hit added to it too.
MC: Interesting, even though I should have figured this part out already!
Flashback
Kengo: I SAID SOMETHING WAS CREEPING INTO ME DAMMIT
Present
MC: So are they stuck now!? / No wait it's too early to give up!
(AB) Ryouta: Wait wait, there's still more!
(C) Ryouta: ...yeah, but there's still more.

Ryouta: The thunder god said that there has to be an opposing power to that fusion power.
MC: What?
Taishakuten's Thunder God said that no power in Tokyo is invincible. If someone has the spear that pierces any shield, there will be a shield that will block all spears. In one world, the thunder god Indra is seen as invincible, but the wind god Vayu exists to check him. In present laws, there are rights meant to prevent the abuse of other rights. Here in Tokyo, nothing is ever invincible. Every power holds a contradiction with the world. If this rain has the power to force a fusion of memories, then there must be a power to force a separation of memories somewhere too. The App does not subject memories to a reversion, but if there is a way to attach them, there must be its opposite as well.
MC: So, we can fix Shirou and Kengo and everyone else if we find it?
Ryouta: I-I guess? I dunno how much of it to believe. The guy kept jumping around on topics, stuff like "why am I alone" and "what the hell is Shibamata Taishakuten" and "bring that opposite to me!" I don't get him. But I did talk him into agreeing to help!
MC: Great!
Ryouta: ...oh no, look!
MC: WHAT
Wakan Tanka Inf. and Tangaroa Inf. are clashing!

Wakan Inf.: I shall return everything to one. Wash everything away, o storms!
Tangaroa Inf.: I will drag everything from the heavens and on to the sea!
Ryouta: MC, get behind m--

Later
Ryouta: MC, wake up!
MC: ...ngh. What happened?
Ryouta: I-I dunno. We were just lying here when I woke up.
Wakan Tanka Inf. and Tangaroa Inf. are not around. Tokyo is flooded

Ryouta: Haven't we seen this before? Y'know, in Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Aoyama, and Roppongi!
Turing: Greetings, Summoners Guildmaster! Yes, this is an Exception Domain!
MC: WHOMST / uhh... / wait are you--
Turing: Oh did Enigma not tell you about me? I'm Turing, the Akihabara Creators guildmaster. You really took care of Enigma in the Deep Web, didn't you? Oh I didn't mean that in the sarcastic way! But yes, the Invaders are also trying to weaponize an Exception. This Exception Domain was just going to happen, so don't feel like it's your fault or anything. That aside, are you looking for those two chaps?
MC: Oh no, Shirou and Kengo are sinking into the water!

Turing: Don't worry fellows, they aren't going to drown. And that's not just water, it's the Reversal of Time or the information pool of Reverse Causality. Quantum entanglement! Superposition of physics! ...oh this is flying over your head, isn't it. Dumbed down version: they're getting assimilated into that thing. That doesn't sound any better, does it.
MC: Shut it limey! / Are they okay? / ...what is your deal?
(A) Turing: Now now, let's keep it light and jocular like British gentlemen! They're okay! ...for the moment...conditionally.

Turing: If you want, I can explain what's happening to them with my artifact. I'm sure it can do PowerPoint presentations! Oh wait, lemme rephrase that into something easier to understand: I can guarantee their safety. My artifact is originally meant to decode information, though people who don't understand called it a virus. Just calm down and listen. I was asked by him to guide you two.
Ryouta: Him? ...who? And why are you really here?
Turing: I'm the Invaders Guildmaster's witness. Or something. What you see right now is the missing link between the beginning and the end. Further ahead is the memories of the decisive battle in this Catastrophic Loop. There's someone waiting for you at the bottom of Tokyo Bay, along with the deepest truth no one else has seen. You want to know what happened in between the tragic future and the happy past, don't you?
MC: Hmm...
Turing: Scared of finding out the mysteries of the world? There's no shame in that! It's frightening to have an inescapable answer thrown at you...after all, you might find out that those happy past memories could be a grave sin.
Ryouta: MC...

MC: ...I'm not afraid. Okay I AM, but I'm not alone. Right Ryouta?
Turing: surprisedpikachu.jpg
Ryouta: !! R-right! It'll be fine, because I'm here too!

MC: It didn't matter where we were. We got through every crisis working together with everyone...
Everyone has made their way through these incidents borrowing someone's strength. It was never easy, and it'll probably be the same way this time as well.
MC: I'll do what I can this time too. Everyone is fighting, so we'll figure something out.
Turing: Wow you can say all that with a straight face? You'd deny nothing and say that with innocent eyes that would try to save everything? No I'm not sarcastically mocking you. I want to thank you, truly! It's a complicated problem even the geniuses had split their interpretations three ways and...I really do sound sarcastic here don't I. But still, I suppose you'd never have gotten this far if you weren't like that. I have no problems with complimenting your efforts so far.
The water's surface opens up like something out of myths and the restoration of a sunken supercontinent.
Turing: The deepest part of Tokyo is where the undersea cable network and the Invaders guildmaster is. It is also where the Hero Exception, the Invaders' ultimate weapon, is. No time like the present to get going!

Chapter 13 Episode 5: Heaven Reversal 2 (Abridged)

Duo is having a memory trip about a time Isaac could still walk before the Tokyo Game started and invited him along to a research trip in an underground library. Flashback!
Isaac: The history of mankind is an endless waltz of war, peace and revolution. (walks down the library)
Duo: Is talking about that why you asked me to come with you?
Isaac: Aww come on, just listen for a sec.
Isaac: So as I was saying, mankind's history starts with war and the strong winning. Then a hierarchy forms between the weak and strong. We get peace for a bit until eventually a revolution happens. We got stone weapons out of that, then iron weapons, guns, missiles, and now viruses. The foundation of strength changes with each one, and the previous hierarchy changes. Then we get a new war and things continue into an Infinite cycle. It's a microcosm of the world, and the game will hit a stalemate like that eventually too.
Duo: Huh.
Duo (narrating): Now that I think about it, he knew this game would come to this point since back then.

Isaac: So the first plan to get a preferable ending would be my plan, Plan A, assimilation. The blunt and simple explanation is evolving humanity through an Instrumentality Project that connects everyone into an All-Knowing Super Meta Intelligence! Conquer death! Network immortality! No more individual differences! Down with the hierarchy! Perfect for solving all problems springing from it!
Duo: Yeah that's a big plan, but aside from us geniuses making everyone into intellectual lifeforms sounds impossible.
Duo (narrating): That's aiming too high. The gap between ideals and reality is too big. What normal person would agree to stop being themselves and fuse with a stranger? I can't imagine how long that'd that take and that sort of unimaginable thing causes fear. And even if you give up the joys you had until then, it's hard to see what you'd get out of it.

Duo: The distance between mankind's present state and that lofty goal is Infinite. Hmm...but ideals being in unreachable heights? It may be a problem with potential energy, but maybe it can lead to other truths. It's always easy to fall on the short side.
Isaac: Wow you got it? That's what I wanted to say!
Duo: W-what? What do you mean?
Isaac: Just reverse the concepts, like up and down. If this present reality can't get there, then I'll just work backwards from the ending. I'm gonna start a revolution!
Duo: You are galaxy braining too hard for me.
Isaac: Hahaha! You think?
And so the boy who wanted to fly kept walking down as if to flip himself back to the sky above.

Present
Duo: I get it now!
Bertro: What?
Duo: I understand now what Isaac told me way back when.
Duo (narrating): I once told Isaac the world currently won't reach his ideal, which is why he plans on flipping everything around.
Duo: Isaac is starting from his end point, trying to cross the Infinite gap between past joys and future anxieties...
Just like he's trying to divide infinity by infinity...

Rainbow Bridge
Light is flooding MC!

MC: WHAT?
Dream Kingdom flashback!

MC: WHAT??
Fashionista flashback!

MC: No really, WHAT??? / Wait I remember this!
---
(A) Wakan Tanka Inf.: Oh no that happened in another loop. You just forgot.
(B) Wakan Inf.: Yes that's right. You know about this loop.
---
Wakan Inf.: ...I remember the dear memories of all loops. I remember all the times I lived together with people here in happiness. I lived happily with you in these Infinite loops.
Wakan's words are filled with love, but his face looks worn out.

Wakan Inf.: No one will need to fight. If everyone remembers, then there won't be any more sadness.
World Representative Wakan Tanka's power is the ability to give what he has to all things, which he is doing here by spreading loop memories through the rain.
Wakan Inf.: Become one with me...
MC: W-wait, stop!
Wakan Inf.: Why do you resist?
MC: Because it's freaky! And all the loops ended badly! Why is that!?
Wakan Inf. cannot answer, so he continues spreading love like how he used to.

BATTLE START (more happens after)

Wakan Tanka worked as a law of nature of the world and acted accordingly against those who rebelled against its faith. Spit into the sky, and it will fall back on your face. Karmic retribution like gravity! And Wakan Tanka's retribution was thunder.
On another note, if the people of the plains created a problem, they would gather in teepees for a meeting. There they would make a decision based on their faith and belief of justice. But there would always be one person tasked on being on the minority's side and express things that differed from the majority's justice. This person was placed in that role so everyone wouldn't be monopolized and biased towards that justice. And the role was named after the one struck by Wakan Tanka's thunder, Heyoka.
As a fundamental principle of nature, Wakan Tanka originally did not have anything resembling emotions because there weren't others for him to define himself against. But when Heyoka was struck down and exiled, Wakan created a self. "Why are there people who can't or won't join the majority?" he wondered. Thinking of Heyoka made something in Wakan Tanka ache, which he had yet to understand was his heart. And so he was went to Tokyo in hopes of understanding what that pain was.

Present
Wakan Inf.: Why do you reject assimilation?
MC: Were you not listening to me!?
Wakan Inf.: What do you mea--
MC: IT'S CRAZY! (thinks about Azathoth's memory show)
Chapter 6 flashback!

Azathoth: Replay time! Akashic Records of a Slumbering God!
Touji: I'm sorry MC. I had to do it to you.
Ryouta: Nooo, it's all my fault!
Kengo: MC why
Shirou: ...what was I fighting for!?
Azathoth: LMAO
Present

MC: How did we get from happy fun times to the apocalypse!?

Roppongi
Licht: Yeah I've been thinking about it and it is WEIRD. (goes over his collected reports)
Licht: Why does it always end with one of us killing MC? Things are happy until it goes to crap, and I'd get it if that happened because the World Reps came to blow us all up. But apparently that's not what happened? That doesn't add up! We're missing the piece that connects it all, and we can't see how everything works without it. We are totally losing on the information front and can only see things in hindsight. But that doesn't mean it's pointless to try to figure out the enemy's plans from their actions. Melusine, care to give your opinion?
Melusine: Yes sir.
Licht: Let's start by examining our current situation. At present, the Invaders are raiding us while our allies the Missionaries are being interfered with by the Rule Makers. In that sense, the South and East are about the same. But if the Invaders somehow couldn't do anything now, it's reasonable to think the Rule Makers would move first.

Licht: Now that I think about it, when we first saw the Rule Makers they came to take the lead. We got out of there because the Genociders sacrificed themselves to cover our escape, but even then the big three guilds could have wiped us out if they felt like it. They didn't because their goal was capturing MC, but they succeeded in making first contact. After that, the Rule Makers got caught up fighting against the other two guilds and things fell into a stalemate. They didn't have any time to go after MC like that.
Then MC caused the scales to tip over.

Licht: We know at least three World Representatives are gone. Things have changed, and the West side has crumbled. There's no way the Rule Makers won't try to make a break for it again if the Invaders hadn't gone first. But they did with an attack using information and agitation. From my analysis of what MC said, it seems the trophy's value to the Representatives has changed significantly. This change caused huge restrictions on what the Rule Makers as a whole could do since the old premise of capturing the trophy had to change. The Invaders still took their own losses with two Reps leaving, which normally would be serious. They aren't acting like it is though.

Licht: So, back to basic facts: The Invaders are moving ahead of the Rule Makers.
Melusine: ...
Licht: What do you make of all this?
Melusine: In war it would be natural to take the initiative. In that sense what the Invaders are doing is necessary, but...
Licht: Yes, that assumes they're at full strength. But here they're still going through with it despite their losses. If they win that's good for them, but if they lose...
Melusine: The difference in strength would mean they'd inevitably be pushed back. If they're still going on with this move, they must be sure they'll win with it. Is that what you wish to say?
Licht: (nods) Now I'll state my opinion. The Invaders needed to reverse their course of action. In this loop, after the Warmongers went the Invaders had to act next instead of the Rule Makers. They're sure they'll change things with this, but I don't know where they're going with it.
The Invaders have changed MC's worth from the most valued thing in Tokyo to Wanted Dead. How very revolutionary.
Licht: Time for an unfounded deduction! If they're using their same tricks on other people, maybe they're trying to drag everyone to the same level.
If a revolution happens when people have lost everything, everything before becomes meaningless.

Licht: This plan is too perfect. Too revolutionary.
Melusine: ...
Licht: Who's plotting all this? Who's agitating everyone?

Rainbow Bridge
Wakan Inf.: ...
MC: Give Shirou and Kengo back! That on its own is enough to distrust you!
Wakan Inf.: I know who those two are. But I'm not the one who took them.
MC: What? B-but...!
Flashback
Babe Bunyan: Boss told me to tell you to come to Rainbow Bridge. We'll keep your friends safe until then!
Present

MC: Does that mean you aren't his boss!?
Tokyo Bay suddenly splits like the Red Sea!

MC: WHAT
Tangaroa Inf.: HAHAHA
MC: WHAT
Wakan Inf.: Invaders Rep Tangaroa.
Tangaroa Inf.: The heavenly happiness you showed is one-sided, Wakan Tanka. One day it all falls to the ground and gets polluted in filth like us! See our impure end of days! HAHAHAHA
Babe: (frowns)

Chapter 13 Episode 4: Heaven Reversal 1 (Abridged)

Great Spirit is a world of endless plains and wild lands where all life is equal. Their faith is in Equality, which they refer to as giving away. They give up their attachments to things, even though this sounds more like Buddhism. They give up ownership of their possessions. If something would benefit someone else better, they give that thing to them. Therefore the one who gives away the most is the strongest in Great Spirit, the embodiment of that faith and the World Representative Wakan Tanka.
Wakan Tanka gives away everything he has without reserve because he is more of an immaterial concept, a Law of Nature. He is the love in all things. He is the rain that gives life and the thunder that kills. All is equal before him. Those born into the world and those who intrude become a part of him, no matter who they are. For that reason Wakan Tanka is isolated, always hanging in the sky to look down at the plains. He exists only as a System to give love to all that lives...up until he was summoned to the surface on Tokyo. And so he inhabited the legendary white buffalo's body and lived through many loops here.

Yoyogi
Durga: DAMMIT we got an emergency warning over here! Where's Wakan!?
Kyuuma: I didn't find him behind the school building!
Gunzou: What the hell man!?
Yasuyori: ...
Yasuyori knows this isn't just an emergency warning, not at a time like this. The time of Tokyo's balance falling apart has come.
Yasuyori: ...I need to protect everyone!
Suddenly Babe Bunyan!
Yasuyori: Huh? Are you one of our elementary students? You should get to somewhere safe since--
Babe: ...Wakan won't come back. I came to tell you that.
Yasuyori: W-what?
Ring ring ring, phone call phone call

Yasuyori: My phone! Wait, where'd he go?

Tanetomo: Hello, Yasuyori? I called so we could fill each other in. The Invaders are making an all-out move on all of Tokyo. They've never done this before, so will you help me? We're shorthanded.
Yasuyori: Advisor...I mean Tanetomo. Sorry, I'm not...
Tanetomo: I know. You want to prioritize keeping your sports school friends safe? I can send them to somewhere even safer.
Yasuyori: ...!
Tanetomo: No promises, but if something happens I'll go too. This way should be better than you doing it all alone. Do you accept?
Yasuyori: B-but...
Tanetomo: ...and this incident also relates to you and everyone at Yoyogi.
Yasuyori: What?

Tanetomo: 3rd Year Yoyogi student Wakan Tanka is currently acting as one of the Invaders World Representatives.
Yasuyori: WHAT
Tanetomo: Yes I'm surprised too, this never happened before...at least, as far as I could see. Whatever, I'm tired of being forced to dance.
Yasuyori: You've changed.
Tanetomo: You think? It must be the influence of a bad friend.
Yasuyori: ...so what did you want me to do?
Tanetomo: Let me start by explaining the situation. Part of the Invaders are moving to eliminate the trophy, apparently because there's new information that's been exchanged between them. Since the West lost power, the South and East started moving. The Representatives with powers that can oppose this storm disaster in particular are moving first. It shouldn't be long before things start up near Shinjuku.

Tanetomo: I say all that, but I'm not asking you to fight them. Let the Warmongers Reps fight against the other forces since only they can do so. The Reps are all still enemies, so they should keep each other in check. I'm more interested that the Hakkenshi in the Invaders are moving. Eh, someone I know shall we say was involved with that. She said one of them said "we will change this cruel System and save everyone. There will be sacrifices, but they will be the last ever sacrifices."
Yasuyori: What?
Tanetomo: If they're being literal, they're saying this is the last loop. But why would they be sure of that? Do they know something I don't? If they do, we need to find them and find out what they know. Those bound by fate are drawn to each other, which means you'll do as another Hakkenshi.
The Hakkenshi is a term for the eight warriors who serve the Satomi family, a branch family of the Minamoto.
Tanetomo: ...but you and I also have a bond here in Tokyo. Wouldn't it be a waste to abandon it?
Yasuyori: ...agreed!
Tanetomo: Be careful. You know how strong the true big three guilds are. While the Warmongers give people back their past memories to restrict their actions, the Invaders excel at giving people other people's memories to invade their selves. I believe the South is spreading memories everywhere through the rain. This may have been a breach of the rules in the past, but...
Anything can happen now.
Tanetomo: Anyone touched by the rain lose the borders of their selves and assimilate. Don't get hit by it.

Somewhere in Shinjuku
Kengo and Shirou are being invaded by memories!

MC: Every raindrop is enchanted? / Dammit what do I do!? / (run out without thinking about it)
---
(C) Both: STOP
Shirou: What'll we do if you get affected too? Don't touch the rain!
---
Kengo: Hey Smartypants! Any ideas about the rain? I'm the group dumbass so you gotta be the one to think! (moves to cover Shirou as best he can)
Shirou: That's it! MC, do you remember what happened when you were in the Aoyama dungeon with Ryouta and the Missionaries?
MC: What / Oh!
Shirou: I went to Yog Sothoth and Kengo went to Thor so we could learn how to really use our artifacts! Ryouta went to meet his Exception too, and you guys met Fisher King. I remember Ryouta mentioned something from the memories he saw there. He said when the world is really ending, there's an angel who will appear at the Last Judgment and fill the world with his rain of tears that covers the world with faith. It was Israfil! Maybe he's related to this rain... Maybe Fisher King's artifact could show some more detailed memories. Call Ryouta and--AAAHHH

Kengo: SOMETHING'S CRAWLING INTO ME!
Shirou: No wait...what the hell, this is the opposite of what happened with Yog Sothoth!
MC: You guys! I'll call Ryouta right now and...somebody's coming!
Suddenly Koropokkur!
MC: WHOMST / (silently get ready to fight)
Koropokkur: I am the World Representative of Kamui Kotan, Koropokkur.
MC: I sense bloodlust! / Why!? / (remember what Smoky God said)
Flashback!

Smoky God: ...this long game is moving onto an all new phase because the trophy's value has been reversed. Well to be precise, it's not our values as World Representatives that has changed. It's the world's values that changed. The trophy is the enemy of the world again.

Present
Koroppokur: ...I wanted to save you, Little Hero Ponyaunpe, before you turned into a dirty adult. I'm the one who protects children because that was my given role. But you've been polluted...so now I have to abandon you to keep Kamuy Kotan from being polluted too. Freeze. Noble Phantasm!
Snow covers everywhere except for Koropokkur.
MC: I can't use my power so he really must be a World Rep! I can't leave Shirou and Kengo!
Koropokkur: Are you cold? Yeah, the world is cold! Now freeze soli--
Babe Bunyan sneaks up on Koropokkur.
BANG

Koropokkur: WHAT (Leaf Shield!)

Babe Bunyan: ...howdy.
Koropokkur: Babe! You--
MC: Who is that and why isn't the rain doing anything to them?
Koropokkur: To avoid the effects of the rain you either need a power that shields you from the rain like I do, or...you've already been affected. You too, Babe?
Babe: ...
Babe: BANG
Koropokkur: !!
MC: He's holding up against a World Rep? Is he one too? No wait!
Babe: You're MC, right? You aren't lying down and dying here, yeah? I'm Babe Bunyan, from Great Spirit.
MC: What is your deal? / Great Spirit? What?
Babe: I'll tell you if you survive this. Time for a Wild West showdown!
BATTLE START (more happens after)

Kamuy Kotan is a world of intense natural disasters. Living by the laws of nature is approved of, and humans can only grow so much. Koropokkur is its World Representative. He is a supernatural being that symbolizes the harshness of nature, a little person beneath the butterbur leaves who never appears before adults. He decides the cap to the amount of nature's bounty humans may take and attacks those who go past it. The other kamui embody nature's gifts, but he embodies nature's severity.
Koropokkur is part of the Rule Makers of the East. He goes to Oujimachi Academy in Kita, a famous elementary school that he controls as a Rule Makers Portal. He loves and protects children, and he extends it to native children and Transients not of Kamui Kotan as well. Babe Bunyan attends Oujimachi and is his best friend.

Babe: Howdy! Get any taller?
Babe is from Great Spirit. He likes cowboys, baseball, oatmeal made with lots of milk, and barbecue. He wants to grow up and hasn't grown an inch, but Koropokkur likes him. Even the school teachers highly regarded his innocent, freewheeling behavior...

Present
Babe Bunyan: It's high noon!
Koropokkur: KAUKAU PRIWENPE
Koropokkur is clearly holding back against Babe. The power of his role imposes conceptual restrictions, and in particular he cannot harm those who are a Part of Nature. While he's trying to stop Babe, Babe fires back.
Babe: MARVELOUS EXPLOITS
Babe's horseshoes have the power to trailblaze lands untouched by civilization, which he uses to get close to Koropokkur!
Koropokkur: !
Koropokkur lowers his leaf and stops his blizzard attack.

MC: It stopped! I can see now!

Babe Bunyan: Wait, let me handle this MC. Yeehaw! (catches Koropokkur's arm with his rope and binds it) Caught ya now!
Koropokkur: Let go! Who did this to you!? It was HIM wasn't it!? Great Spirit's World Representative!
Babe: (whispers something into Koropokkur's ears) No. I [REDACTED].
MC: What I can't hear. I see Koropokkur stopped moving though.
Babe: You're not just here for MC, right? You wanted to stop the rain and keep us pure and ignorant of the past. So let me tell you something as a friend. My boss and all aren't the only ones doing something with this rain at the moment. Michael also has something to do with the rain happening.
Koropokkur: !!
Babe: Go ask him about Israfil. So, you really gonna stick around here? If you leave the rain alone it'll even reach the Portal in Kita Ward. You have to protect the other children. (unbinds Koropokkur)
Koropokkur: ... (raises his leaf again)
MC: ! Babe, get away from him! (goes on guard)
Koropokkur disappears.

Babe: It's fine, he just left.
MC: T-thanks, Babe / ...how do you know my name? / I heard some stuff. Are you...
(A) Babe: You might be wrong to thank me.

Babe Bunyan: So, I'm Babe Bunyan. I'm a gopher for the Invaders. (clicks horseshoe, tips hat)
Babe: My boss sent me to give you a message. "I'm waiting at Rainbow Bridge." I'll look after your friends in the meantime. No worries!
MC: ...wait what!? (looks at where Shirou and Kengo are)
Shirou and Kengo are gone.
MC: Babe, where are th--
Babe is gone too now. The rain actually parts like the Red Sea to give MC a path to probably the Rainbow Bridge.
MC: ...welp. / I should call Ryouta and the others first.
---
(BC) No signal detected. Maybe they're jamming it.
---
MC: FINE!

Elsewhere
Sanat Kumara: I have always watched over the lives of humans like this from the sky. (watches crows fly)
Sanat: Mankind will finally assimilate and evolve on a spiritual level. Individual limits will be surpassed and everyone will be connected to a single great wisdom! I have lived an eternity to see it happen for myself, so as another gestalt I support the Invaders' assimilation plan...and betrayed Leanan Sidhe and my friends, and the Game Masters I belonged to.
The Game Masters are neutral and will never support a single side of the players.

Sanat: Daikoku Okuninushi once helped the Warmongers, but he lost his cohort with them, has half-discarded his disguise, and has switched over to the Invaders.
Sanat worked with Okuninushi, an act of betrayal against the Game Masters.

Sanat: I had my doubts, but I believed I did that out of my own will...but who are you to look like me? You've been watching me this whole time. What do you want, and why do you look like me? Are you my imposter? Or...am I yours?
Sanat Doppelganger: ...
Sanat: ...fine. We decide who is real by force!

Rainbow Bridge, the connector of Minato and Shinagawa Wards
MC: I'm here! (looks for Shirou and Kengo and looks around)
Wakan Tanka Inf.: ...
MC: Is that the boss? / NO WAY
---
(BC) Wakan Inf.: ...you know who I used to be? Not that it matters anymore.
---
Wakan Inf.: ...I lived through endless loops meeting and smiling with everyone who lives here. You are one of them.
MC: What? (remember Jacob's memory show at the prison school in a flashback)
Wakan Inf.: I am Wakan Tanka, one of the Invaders World Representatives who lived through Infinity. After infinite loops I have abandoned all besides my name. Now accept it, I give all away I have to everyone I love.
MC: !?!?
Wakan Inf.: Remember the truth of the forgotten days of joy here in Tokyo, then give up the power to harm others. There is no need to fight, no need to be afraid. Become one with happiness.
And so light covers everything.

Chapter 13 Episode 3: Ship of Theseus 3 (Abridged)

Let's have another flashback to Chapter 12!
Maria: The Warmongers are using memories to cause disruptions and recruit people!
Managarm: Yeah, getting paranoid that the people around you will suddenly shank you is HARSH. I know how that feels. But they also show memories of you suddenly killing your friends, and that's no good. Everyone that's happened to gets PTSD and leaves the guild.
Azazel: Yes, they get isolated from their communities.
Ryouta: Azazel! Long time no see.
Maria: You're back safe and sound!
Managarm: Where the HELL have you been!?
Maria: I sent him on an investigation.
Managarm: What?

Azazel: Yes, I've done it. Are you sure you want to remember everything though?
Maria: Yes. I want to know everything from all the past loops.
Managarm: NO DON'T! Did you not listen to what I said about what happened to everyone else!?
Maria: Yes, and that's why I need to know. I can't move forward with just words.
Gabriel: Oh no!
Ryouta: ...
Maria: Ryouta, I need to ask a favor.
Ryouta: Uhh, well if I can help then okay?
Maria: Okay, I'll tell you later. Hanuman?
Hanuman: Wait what you're really talking to me in a serious talk like this!?
Maria: Yes, I have a favor to ask of you too.
Hanuman: Well in that case, I'll do whatever I can!

Present, at Asakusa
Here is where the Asakusa Taoshis are based at, comprised mostly of Umamichi students. Like Kabukicho, they've chosen to remain neutral and isolated from guild matters so they never responded to the Missionaries' attempts to talk before.

Ryouta: So why are they saying they'll talk now?
Gandarva: Well I know your guildmaster, but there's also the part where you've been looking after Prince Hanuman.
Ryouta: Wait, should I be calling you Prince too, Hanuman?
Hanuman: STOOOOP! Gandarva you make him stop too!
Gandarva: I can't treat you so crudely as the wind god Lord Vayu's son...
Hanuman: But I like not being treated so formally!
Ryouta: That's a no then?
Hanuman: Yep!
Gandarva: I'm just an intermediary and introducing you to one of the leaders over there. (points)

Ryouta: Oh look, it's the Raimon gate. The wind and thunder gods protect this place, right?
The two statues next to the Raimon Ryouta is pointing at are of gods who protect the place from storms when prayed to. Their story existed and was passed down since before the walls came up, but for some reason is still told after Transients became a thing.
Ryouta: I feel like I've heard the name of the wind god earlier...
Hanuman: Thunder god? ...no wait, Gandarva did you--!? (shakes like he was hit by lightning)
Ryouta: wait what
Gandarva: So I met the Summoners guildmaster before and their stature reminded me of a thunder god from that one land. But anyways, the king I serve is Hanuman's father, the wind god Vayu. I also serve as musician for a thunder god at the same time, so I also serve the wind and thunder gods here too.
Ryouta: Hanuman, what's going on!?

Gandarva: Asakusa has been under attack by the true big three guilds too. We and Katsushika have been kicked around by the ones in the East. We still have our divine protection against storm and thunder though, so we're opening our doors. Also there's someone who wants to see Prince Hanuman. Right now we're going to the place that sits on the border of Asakusa and Katsushika, Shibamata Taishakuten.
Ryouta: Huh. So is they guy we're meeting--
(Thunder)
Ryouta: wait what it's clear out today
Gandarva: ...we have to hurry. (glares at approaching thunder noises)

Aoyama Cemetery
Maria: Hmm. Sudden wind today despite it being clear.
Managarm: I've checked the place out and it's clear. I'll keep watch while you go to your meeting.
Maria: Thank you. Here I go!
Managarm: Call me if something happens. (leaves)
Maria: Okay I'm here Jacob.
Jacob: Sorry to call you while you're busy.
Maria: It's fine. You're the true guildmaster after all.
Jacob: ...like I've said repeatedly, I've left the post. I think you're the real guildmaster. You have the determination of steel and the courage to walk the path of thorns. And you want to go forward...even after learning about the past loops.
Maria: Thank you. But I'm still inexperienced and couldn't keep everyone together.
Jacob: I don't think that's true based on how much I've seen Managarm and Gabriel trust in you.
Maria: ...I think somewhere inside me, I believe no one can stop me from walking my path.

Jacob: ...
Maria: But we still need solidarity so that we can protect the weak. That said, things are bad. So many angels have left us. The guild is in chaos without Arslan to give mental support.
Jacob: ...you aren't here to complain, right?
Maria: Of course not. I have things to do, even if I'm the only one left. I will continue to protect the Missionaries and the weak...even if only tragedy awaits me.
Jacob: You're still set on it, aren't you?
Jacob raises his hand to project memories like an evolutionary tree. Maria gets Main Plot Beam'd.

Jacob: My infinite light artifact shows the path to Eden's Tree of Life, the thing that keeps the memories of the many world loops.
Maria keeps watching, and Jacob smiles at this.

The memory playback is over, and Maria has not fallen to despair and isn't looking away from the tragedies.
Jacob: My blind eyes have seen your resolve, Maria. (flips on his phone's voice command)
Jacob: I hereby officially transfer the guildmaster position to Maria.
Transfer complete!
Maria: Jacob...
Jacob: Thank you for all you've done for the guild. I have battles to get to against the greatest obstacles to the Missionaries' ideals. I will stop them even if it's a double KO, so I want to officially leave the guild to you.
Maria: Wait, what? You mean it's not what the memory loop showed of the guild collapsing in the end?
Jacob: There's another true threat besides the sad memories of the compiled loops. I know the class role of the previous holder of my artifact. I am to face off against the angel that awaits the end and controls that threat, just like how Michael and Gabriel are fated to go against each other. I've been training for that day to come.
Dramatic thunder and darkness!

Back to MC's side, the party is running to an emergency shelter.
Shirou: Our safehouse is only a safehouse in terms of app battles, so we should get to somewhere safer for natural disasters!
Kengo: Is there really gonna be heavy rain after how sunny today's been?
MC: Look!
Clouds are expanding from the south.

Kengo: Oh my god! It's coming from the south!
Shirou: ...what? (looks)
Shirou: You guys, those cloud movements look unnatural.
The clouds seem to be coming from Tokyo Bay.

MC: Huh, it's raining...hey wait.

Aoyama Cemetery
Maria: Rain? But the weather report said--
Jacob: Maria, activate your artifact now! Don't let the rain touch you!
Maria: W-what? Okay, let me open the app and--
Jacob: No need! Your artifact, now!
Maria creates some overhead with her thorns.

Maria: ...what? I could use it without the app?
Jacob: The rain has a power attached to it.
Maria: What!? I have to tell Managarm! (texts him)
Israfil: How sad. Ahaha!
Maria and Jacob: !?

Maria: Nobody was around. How could anyone appear so quickly!?
Israfil:
Maria: No wait...it can't be!
Jacob: That voice... so you've been summoned while wearing that Shadow.
Jacob activates his artifact and the light starts drawing an 8.

Jacob: If you are here, then this loop is the Final Judgment.
Maria: Is that true, Israfil!?
Israfil: Oh how sad I am for only having life where death's tragedy is. Sad, sad, sad. That's me, Israfil. The angel who appears at the end of the world with the rain of mercy. 1000 LP for everyone! Let me see your ruin! Hahaha!

Somewhere in Shinjuku again
A raindrop hits Shirou, and he feels something off about it. It feels different from water after careful observation.
Shirou: !
Shirou recognizes the sensation of someone else entering him, just like how Yog Sothoth did.

Shirou: You guys, this rain is a magic attack!
MC: What? A magic attack outside a battle zone!? Wait I remember something like this!
Chapter 8 flashback
MC: (What if it's like back then? Or what if it's different!?)
The rain falls harder.
Shirou: Kengo, get MC away from--
Kengo: Got it! Sorry to be rough but...! (picks up and uses himself as a cover while taking MC to somewhere with a roof)
Kengo: RAAAAGH (throws MC under roof cover without letting them get hit by the rain)

MC: YOU GUYS!
Shirou and Kengo: STAY BACK
Something fills the two of them from the unnatural rain. Shirou wonders if someone put up walls around Shinjuku again.
Shirou: If that's not what's happening...then Tokyo is already...ahhh!!
Rain continues to fall.
Kengo: I'm losing strength...!
Something Warm fills the two as they lose the will to fight. Something Warm being overflowing love.

Shirou and Kengo: AAAAAA

Somewhere else
Wakan Tanka Inf. watches the rain fall from somewhere in the sky. Love for everything fills his eyes. He loves everything equally, and his eyes look empty of emotion.

Wakan Tanka Inf.: I will fill the land with love and wash away the sadness. Remember the first joy. There is no need to fight, to hurt. I am Wakan Tanka, and I have given up everything besides my name at the edge of infinity.
Wakan Tanka Inf. dances like he is offering something to someone, and so the rain continues.

Present
Rando Students: Bye Sensei!
Sandayu: Bye y'all!
It's been some time after the riot in school. There was a time when devastation approached from within Shinjuku's dorm and school, and the police's formal statement was that it happened because students were influenced by a socially provocative video. Said video blamed a particular person for all of society's unrest, and the rioting students have said they took sudden action out of righteous indignation.
Later, a Not Youtuber uploaded a video saying the first video was systematically manufactured and circulated, with evidence of social media hacking and illegal access of private data shown. Police investigation and the leaders of Not Youtube have since deleted the offending video. Sympathies have been expressed for the victims used as a stepping stone for the illegal access at that one school in Nakano. The incident has been solved surprisingly quickly and things have gone back to normal...

Kioh Academy
Hougen: NO THEY HAVEN'T! Where's Daikoku!?
Police Students: O-oh you're back! The headmaster is out doing liaison conferences and...
The Kioh Academy headmaster also doubles as chief of police which gives Daikoku great legal authority.
Hougen: !
Police Students: Uhh...
Daikoku's legal authority gives him great protection from being arrested by Hougen since Hougen ranks lower than him. Getting around it requires certain evidence that Daikoku has never left lying around. All the evidence from the dark auction has disappeared, and since then Daikoku has stayed away for one reason or another.
Hougen: Damn you Daikoku! I mean, damn you Okuninushi!

Hougen starts remembering something from Akihabara.
Leanan Sidhe: Nooo, stop Sanat Kumara!
Hougen: Hmm. It feels like I'm fighting against myself!
Sanat moves like he's reading Hougen's mind or totally connected to him.

Hougen: Hm?
Daikoku appears.

Hougen: Daikoku where have you bee--
Akiha Gongen: Okuninushi!
Hougen: WHAT

Hougen starts remembering about the time he looked up Takamagahara and read about how Okuninushi was ruler of the surface land before Amaterasu took over.
Hougen: I see! Your True Name is--
Sanat attacks during this distraction.

Hougen: OH NO
Daikoku uses Ama no Sakate, Reverse Hand Clapping!

Hougen: WHAT
Hougen knows Ama no Sakate is a Presence Concealment ritual spell from Takamagahara.

Leanan: Nooo, Sanat stop!
Hougen attacks, but Daikoku has disappeared with Sanat and Akiha.

Hougen: I let my guard down. And they took that boy with them...
Leanan: (frowns)
Hougen: Leanan Sidhe, who is Sanat Kumara?
Leanan: ...my friend. He wasn't like that before. But one day he suddenly changed into a different person...
Hougen: Hmmmm...

Shinjuku
Sandayu is walking around inside the school at the end of the school day. The students look the same as ever, but Sandayu can see their doubts and fears towards one another.

Sandayu: ...pssh, 'course they would. (looks out the window)
Sandayu: ...we got bad weather a-comin'.
Summoners Safehouse
Kengo: This weather pisses me off, man.
Shirou: Strange. The weather report said it's supposed to be 100% sunny today.
MC: Feels like a typhoon's coming in. Maybe the weather report is wrong?
Kengo: The mood at school's pissing me off too!
Shirou: Well it is a bit much to expect things to go back to normal after a blow up like that, I suppose...
There actually ARE therapists and a bunch of the students who rioted are in counseling. A lot of them probably don't know why they did what they did then.
MC: That was shocking / I'm not sweating it at all
(A) Shirou: Everyone attacked you suddenly, so that's unsurprising.
(B) Kengo: Yep! People used to suddenly swing lead pipes at me in Kabukicho's back alleys too.
Shirou: Kengo I bet that happened because you hit those people first!

Shirou: ...anyway, I'm glad you're back safe and sound, MC.
Kengo: Haha, I wasn't worried! You're not the kind who'd die if you were killed.
MC: I'm back! So where's everyone else?
Kengo: Hey yeah, why is it just us three here?
Shirou: I'll explain. Time to put on the exposition music.
Shirou: So, we every guild in Tokyo is threatened by the true big three guilds. Due to that, I've sent every other guild member to other guilds to form an alliance. Arc is off doing something else. We're reaching out to Ikebukuro, Aoyama, Roppongi, Hongou, Kabukicho, Asakusa, and Ueno's prominent guilds at least. That said...terrorist damage has caused every guild to be filled with internal divides and confusion. Frankly, they aren't in any position to oppose the true big three guilds.
MC: what? / ...go on

Shirou: We use an electronic app's comm network for a lot of important decisions. Stuff like whether we have enemies near our guild Portals and whether someone is really our friend. Look, you can turn the app on now and it'll show us three here. (shows app's map function)
Shirou: But lately there's been sudden hackings of the electronic identification, so someone you thought was part of the guild was really an imposter. In some cases people self-destructed and took information with them, so it's been hard for everyone to get in touch with guild VIPs and making sure of their identities. Like, is it really Ryouta and the others? Are they still how they've always been? Stuff like that is eating up time.
MC: ...WAIT
Shirou: Yes, there's a commonality between this and the incident you told me about the other day. It's likely the Invaders are using some way of invading and assimilating personalities. Do you remember seeing anything like that?
MC: Yeah, like brainwashing! ...wait.

Kengo: Hey wait a tick...
Shirou: Kengo.
Kengo: That all tracks with our schoolmates who attacked MC because a video told them to and the guys MC saw who called themselves Invaders but...you said that wasn't all they were doing three minutes ago. Brainwashing can't explain app spoofing!
Shirou: Wow the class dumbass caught on.
Kengo: EAT A DICK
Shirou: So anyways, MC can you tell me about what happened in Akihabara again? Specifically Enigma.
MC: Uhhh...
Cue flashback!

Enigma: I apologize about my copies attacking you, Master MC. I will join this alliance with the Summoners along with the other members of the Creators.
MC: ...t-thanks / is there another inevitable betrayal later? / I trust you
(AB) Tindalos: Fair reaction.

Enigma: Previously conducted orders are absolute for AIs, so I will never betray you. I am the original and have rejected the Invaders' proposal. All I want in exchange is to see my creator, the Akihabara guildmaster again. He disappeared before me from this deep web cyberspace some time ago.
MC: Who are they and what do they look like?
Enigma: Master likes wearing clothes based off of Snow White. His artifact is a logic bomb, a kind of electronic virus.
MC: That poison apple thing your copies used?
Enigma: It has the power to self-replicate, invade a target and change form, then deconstruct their logical structures.
Tindalos: Huh. So why does an AI creator have that?
Enigma: ...Master has said creation begins with destruction, with true creation starting with deconstructing and reconstructing something's logic. It applies to myself as well. I self-replicate, change to fit a user's desired form, then deconstruct and understand their desires... However, that approach has stalled, and Master has disappeared... His name is Master Turing.

Back to the present
Shirou: So MC's bonds have gotten us the Creators' cooperation, but their guildmaster is working with the Invaders. But anyways, this answers your question from earlier, Kengo.
MC: Assimilation and Deconstruction... Mononobe-sensei...
Shirou: ...what's wrong?
Flashback
The second fragment of Mononobe's memories spewed hate and malice at MC in the deep web.

Mononobe: HATE. You should never have come to me! Everything was a mistake! Give back that ring!
End flashback
MC: What was that...? First time I saw Mononobe-sensei like that. Was that one of his components?

Kengo: You know after all that shit they just pissed back off, didn't they?
Shirou: ...isn't that because MC and everyone else stopped them?
Kengo: But they're the ones who started it! Why bother starting shit if they'll just back off like that?
Shirou: I don't think that was their original go--no wait. You're really on the ball today. Who are you and what have you done with Kengo?
Kengo: KISS MY FLAT BITCH ASS
Shirou: Was it all a diversion? Or stalling for time? Wouldn't that mean their real goal comes after this? But what are they waiting fo--ah!!
Suddenly, a loud phone alert blares!

MC: w-what?
Kengo: It's not from the app. It's an evac alarm.
Shirou: Heavy rain warning from the government!
Rainbow Bridge
Masanori: At last, it is time for Phase 2 of Operation Instrumentality!
Clouds quickly form over the Rainbow Bridge, and Masanori seems to have known beforehand it would be happening.
Masanori: Viva la revolution!
Babe Bunyan: ...
