You are briefly
surprised to see him and figure his being there means the gang is all
here. Shirou thanks you for coming and says he brought everyone to hang
out. Kengo laughs about how you’ve been surprised, which Ryouta
apologizes about and says when they were talking about coming everyone
was all for it.
Moritaka says he heard
about what happened from Tadatomo while Touji says the younger members
have been loudly complaining about wanting to see you. Hanuman warns him
that phrasing it that way could blow things out of proportion as he
looks at Agyou. Agyou in turn says that you didn’t have much time to see
everyone while you were on the job, then backs up to insist that he
wasn’t lonely or anything. Kijimuna was!
Kijimuna
immediately calls Agyou our for lying and tells him it’s important to
be honest when trying to communicate. Agyou gets embarrassed and
corrects himself to say he was lonely when not everyone is around.
Shirou
says everyone was busy with their jobs until today, so he figured today
would be the day they all have fun at the beach. You ask him what he
means, so Shirou says that thanks to everything the guild has a good
amount of savings stashed away so you guys can participate in events
with no worries.
Kengo also brings up the
koban coins that were flying around and his surprise about that.
Moritaka compares it to the second coming of Ishikawa Goemon, and Goemon
is around smiling to himself about that. Agyou adds that he’s also
heard about Goemon and talks about how famous he is in Wa no Kuni,
prompting more glee from Goemon.
Ryouta is
interested in him and says that thanks to him and the coins everyone
managed to make the goals earlier than expected so he wants to thank
him. Goemon then takes that as his cue to start up some theatrics, and
Touji asks in surprise if a kabuki play is about to start.
Goemon
reveals himself after having transformed to human shape, saying he’s
come in response to everyone’s calls. He also says he’ll be doing his
tightrope walking act and tells everyone to watch closely. Agyou is
surprised, then asks why he’s walking on the rope with an umbrella out.
Kijimuna thinks it’s cool and wants to try it out, and Hanuman says he
wants to as well. Goemon laughs and agrees to let them try, offering to
show them how to spin an umbrella.
Jiraiya
runs by with two different orders, four bowls of ramen and eight plates
of gyouza on one, and five ramen bowls with two yakisoba plates on the
others. He then proceeds to throw them to the customers’ tables and has
them land perfectly in front of them. Nomad says an almond jelly for
kids is next and asks if it’s okay for someone so small. Shirou thanks
him for it and tells the Evils to be polite as they eat.
Shirou
then comments that the place is busy given how close it is to the end
of the season. Nomad says things picked up after the koban raining down,
and Jiraiya says that even if that didn’t happen the resort is open all
year. When it gets colder there’s hot springs and fruit harvests to do.
Ryouta
is amazed and suggests going to the springs after swimming. Nomad tells
everyone to have fun but to not go overboard. You say you’ll be going
and tell the two you’ll see them later. Nomad and Jiraiya wave you off.
Goemon reverts back to tanuki form and says he wants to come too, but
Nomad says he has to work today, causing him to whine.
Title card pops up, and the chapter is simply Epilogue.
Scene
shifts to the outside as the gang splits up a bit to have fun in the
water. Seth is teaching Kijimuna how to surf, who is having fun. Seth
tells him to have some confidence as he praises him, then says the
slimes will be there to help if anything happens.
Hanuman
runs over to ask to try too, but Seth tells him to not run on top of
the water without a surfboard. It’ll be a bad influence on the others
otherwise, and he tells him to play elsewhere. Hanuman pouts about
wanting to play with him, so Seth promises to play later and tells him
to play somewhere within eyeshot.
Kenta is
teaching Moritaka to swim and says he’s gotten the hang of it. Moritaka
happily says to Yoshiro that he’s learned to swim. A yaksha tells Kenta
he has to let go or else Moritaka can’t learn to swim on his own. He
does so, and Moritaka tries to stop him from doing so but quickly sinks.
Tetsugyuu
yells out that he should kick harder, but Barguest says he should calm
down since Tetsugyuu can’t swim without the swim tube. He then sets that
thought aside and tries to get Moritaka to focus.
Kengo
is trying out surfing too and is having a good time of it, saying he
could fall in love with it. Typhon says he’s learned quickly, and
Gouryou adds that he was surprised at how suddenly Kengo wanted to try.
And with how quickly Kengo’s picked it up Gouryou says it was worth
teaching him. Macan and Fenrir are also at it as they point out a big
wave is incoming, and all of them surf out.
Ryouta
is diving underwater and marvels at the beauty of it. Kotarou enjoys
his reaction and says they’ll be going to a coral reef next. Garm is
excited about this prospect so Pollux tries to calm him down. Kotarou
laughs and says the reef isn’t going anywhere.
Tsukuyomi
comments on how pretty the scenery is and suggests theming their next
store after an underwater castle. He then says he saw a commercial video
that Tadatomo danced in and invites him to work at his business.
Tadatomo is flustered and initially calls Tsukuyomi by name before
correcting back to a more polite working form of address as he asks him
to forget about that video.
Aegir laughs
and talks about his enjoyment of diving, which he’s also using as a
chance to do his sea floor investigation work while he’s at it. He then
tells Ikutoshi and Kagutsuchi to hurry it up or else he’ll leave them
behind. Ikutoshi says he doesn’t care but says Kagutsuchi is lagging
behind. Kagutsuchi apologizes and says he doesn’t deal well with the
ocean.
Kagutsuchi swears to work hard to
overcome this. Aegir swims back to them and says he owes the owner a
little, so he tells them to grab on tight. Ikutoshi says if he wants to
help Kagutsuchi that’s his prerogative. He then comments on him moving
so well in the water and asks if he’s a professional.
Aegir
calls himself a pro treasure hunter who’s also a college professor.
Kagutsuchi says he’ll remember this kindness and thanks him. After they
leave Zao swims by asking where he is and says he’s looking for the
underwater volcanos he heard about.
Back on
the beach Suzuka and Touji are using their swords to cut some
watermelons, and both are impressed by the other’s skills. Touji
mentions Hougen told him watermelon cutting is tied to the secrets of
the sword, so he’ll devote himself to learning all there is to it.
Suzuka asks if it’s the same Hougen she knows and suggests he’s being
duped.
Behemoth is stuffing his face with
watermelons and asks for more. Volos brings them over and is happy that
Behemoth is enjoying them. Ziz says they’re delicious as well and
comments they’re filled with Volos’s love. Volos says he did and that
he’s proud of the watermelons he worked so hard on.
Makara
is playing with the Evils and tells them to play a lot and grow up big.
Shirou thanks and apologizes for Makara playing with the Evils on his
break. Makara says it’s fine and that children tend to swarm him when he
sleeps.
Shirou also apologizes for getting
Claude involved since they wanted to play with everyone. Claude
addresses the Evils and asks if they intend to become strong. They don’t
understand his initial wording so he dumbs it down for them, at which
they say yes. Claude says it’s fine then and asks Snow what his schedule
for the day is like.
Snow says he’ll throw
out all his plans until evening, then asks Claude if he’s sure since he
thought of him as being unaccustomed to being with children. Claude
says it’s fine and brings up realizing that doing his usual stuff on
vacation won’t push him past his limits, and the thoughts of Chernobog’s
barbecue go through his mind.
Claude then
declares that his duty as king is to challenge himself with something
out of the ordinary. He invites the Evils to come with him to find new
encounters and runs laughing into the sea. Shirou says it’s nice and all
but still asks Snow if it’s okay.
Snow
assures him it’s fine, saying if Claude wants it then so be it. He
declares he’s going too and tells the other Evils to follow him, running
into the sea afterwards. Shirou is surprised that Snow is behaving like
this too, and Chouji comments on how full of energy everyone is. Chouji
also thinks about making tropical drinks for everyone once they get
back.
Bathym calls the two of them serious
before suggesting that Shirou spread his wings too, by which he means go
read under a parasol. Shirou takes him up on that suggestion and asks
if he’s sunbathing. Bathym says he’s relaxing on his vacation, which he
does while brushing his tail. As Bathym sits down to do so, Shirou
notices that his tail seems to be making cat noises.
Inside
the beach house Cu Sith is slurping up some ramen and asks for seconds
as he talks about how great it tastes. Jambavan talks about how salt
tastes better after a swim and thinks about what happens if you were to
reclaim the salt in your sweat apparently.
Leib
briefly comments on how good his food is, and Cu Sith sighs about how
he isn’t one for talking before asking what Oniwaka thinks. Oniwaka says
he doesn’t think much about food after the fact if it’s good either,
then gives Cu Sith a piece of gyouza. Cu Sith calls him and Leib rough
but thanks him for the food.
Back outside
Kurogane asks Hephaestus which hammer is the one he needs. After that’s
done, he suggests going for a swim after the job is done and says he’s
already got his swimsuit underneath his clothes. Amatsumara and Takemaru
are coming too.
Hephaestus tells him to
ask someone else to play with him since he only intended to come for
work. Kurogane’s already stripped off by this point and pesters
Hephaestus into joining him and suggests sunbathing instead. He gives in
and tells him to focus on work first.
Nomad
comes over with some food and thanks the two for their work. Kurogane
is happy for that and says there’s yakisoba and curry. He suggests to
Hephaestus that they eat right then. Hephaestus sighs as he calls him a
kid despite how physically big he is.
Narration
talks about everyone having fun as it skips to the evening with them
all gathering at the beach house. The guild kids ask for meat, so
Chernobog hands out the food and tells him to be careful when taking it.
Ryouta is surprised and says it’s gotten even better, both the meat and
veggies. Azathoth laughs and compliments Chernobog.
Chernobog
says his new friend raised those vegetables with pride. He comments on
how mysterious he’s feeling, how proud of it as if it were his own.
Kijimuna asks for more, and Harlot finds it cute how he’s eating so
enthusiastically before telling him to face her way so she can wipe his
mouth.
Agyou says he likes meat but doesn’t
like veggies, but he pushes himself to try so he can grow up big. Surtr
commends him on it. Arc is watching, and Shirou apologizes for
intruding on her family time. He never expected that both barbecues
would be happening at the same time. Arc says it’s fine since they’re
all enjoying themselves. She’s happy too for that matter since it means
the end of summer will be on an energetic note.
Back
outside, Goemon comes across you and says he was looking all over the
resort for you. He then proclaims that today will be his last day of
work at the resort for now. You ask about this, so he says his troupe
leader saw his acting and will let him come back starting the next day.
And it just so happens that the first play they’ll be putting on is The
Master Thief Ishikawa Goemon.
Since he’s
been brought up, you ask about the memories of Goemon inside his kettle
and what happened since before. He says he doesn’t know since he hasn’t
heard anything since then. Goemon says he might have hallucinating it,
but he’s open to the idea it wasn’t. It’s possible that Ishikawa Goemon
just doesn’t need to answer him for now.
Back
to the original topic, Goemon says it’s almost time to go. He’ll
contact you when the play is set and says Andvari and Jiraiya should
come too. He runs off without looking back going shitatatata, and
Andvari walks up afterwards to comment that he was a good worker.
Andvari then asks if you’re eating and drinking, telling you to spend
with no regrets. You say you’re having fun and so is everyone else.
Andvari
is glad to hear that and says he is making a pretty penny. He tells you
to play hard with your friends and to spend plenty as you can only make
memories of this year right now. When you invite him along he initially
turns you down saying he’s busy, but he reconsiders partway through.
You
ask him again and hold your hand out, so he gives in and says you did
work hard. He calls it an employee bonus, then says he wants some meat
and fish. Andvari takes your hand and the two of you head to the beach
house.
Ryouta calls you over, Shirou gives
you a glass of grape juice, and Kengo checks if everyone is there. Touji
says to get on with it and Moritaka asks you to do the honors. You
thank everyone for working hard and say you guys can go on events again.
Everyone raises their glass, and you make a toast.
Narration
tries to end things there, but Andvari throws the screen aside for a
moment to talk about something he almost forgot about. He tells you to
give him your koban coin, then has to deny he’s trying to shake you down
or embezzle you. Andvari explains he’s going to exchange your coin
since you can’t use it as is. The market price has gone down but he
still thinks it’s worth something. He also says to come pick up your
wages later too. And on that note the event ends for real.
