Ziz
then has a monologue again, saying it might be happening soon, whatever
it is. She says to Behemoth that being in Tokyo was fun, and that
everyone was nice. Ziz then swears on her class and power that she alone
will always be with him. Her wings will never leave him; she has him,
and he has her. But if that ever stops being the case, Ziz seems to say
she won’t have any reason to be there, though she doesn’t say it all.
Scene
then shifts to a flashback to Kenta and Shirou. Kenta asks to go back
to the place they were at, by which he means the DIY Sweets corner.
Shirou is about to say they should tell everyone, but Kenta asks for it
to be kept secret. Shirou agrees but asks why he asked him along, so
Kenta says it’s because he thinks Shirou makes the best confections.
Shirou then says he needs to make a phone call so he can ask a friend
working there to show them the way.
Flashback
ends as Touji says he’ll take them there. He has stuff to do there
anyways and mentions lots of acquaintances are there. Kenta asks if he
should call Touji big brother oni. Touji isn’t quite happy about it but
he lets him do so.
Scene then jumps to the
Handmade Sweets area as Touji is in the middle of making some chocolate.
Once he has something ready he asks for people to taste it. Marchosias
takes a piece and and shares it with the boy. They confer, and then
Marchosias suggests making it a little sweeter.
Ibaraki
thinks it might be better with a bit more bitterness, since it’s not
like all chocolates have to be sweet, maybe. Still he thinks it’s good,
saying he needs to make the best chocolate he can and give it.
Kamui
suggests using a different kind of milk, pointing out some special milk
he got from a friend. Kenta thinks the chocolate is good as is, and the
Evils apparently agree.
Touji sighs about
being unsure over all the feedback. Shirou says people have different
tastes and suggests Touji should try it himself and be confident in it.
He agrees, but he’s not that familiar with Western sweets so he’s not
sure whether small changes are good or bad. He’d know if it were youkan
jelly or monaka snacks though.
Touji then
loudly says he’s going to retry it and get it done in the amount of time
he has left. Shirou suggests he relax a little, and Chouji says he
thinks giving Japanese sweets would be fine too. Chouji then cautions
Touji not to burn it because for Western sweets, 80% of it is about the
amount and method.
Touji says he
understands, then asks Kenta to hand him the sugar and Kamui for some of
the milk. Kenta wishes him good luck, and Kamui says it’s a good
quality product. Meanwhile, Shirou says he’s surprised Chouji is manning
the DIY corner even though he has his own shop.
Chouji
says he was asked to, and that there’s a shift system in place for the
cooks in the well known stores. He has to leave his shop to someone else
in the meantime, but he thinks it should be fine because they have the
recipe. Plus, Chouji thinks seeing other people cook helps him remember
what he thinks is important.
Shirou is
surprised about Chouji worrying about cooking, then tells him Ryouta was
worried about him. Chouji says he’s a worry wort but appreciates the
thought, saying he might treat Ryouta to the three day Chinese feast
thing.
Chouji takes a look at the clock,
then tells everyone to put in their feelings towards someone important
to them into the chocolate, which Touji has to think about.
Title card pops up here, and the chapter title is O Oni! Hold the Handmade Chocolate!
Scene
then jumps over to your side as Kengo complains about being tired of
sweets. The other three just look at him, and you either reproach him or
say you do understand his feelings. Either way he’s shocked that people
are looking at him like “oh my god he said that out loud.” Then he
complains about everything you guys had so far.
Ryouta
tries to bring up the dango with soy sauce Kengo just had, but Kengo
argues it’s still sweet at its core. He also says that with all the
sweets he’s been having he thinks his blood will turn sweet too.
Behemoth starts drooling at this, which freaks Kengo out a little and
has him tell Behemoth to stop looking at him like that.
Behemoth
apologizes and says he’s getting hungry. Ziz asks if Shino’s sweets
didn’t fill him up after all, and Behemoth says it did, but he’s
surprised at how fast he got hungry again.
Ziz
says it was only a little bit after all, then offers him the rest of
her box lunch. He decides against it thinking not having it around for
later would cause issues. Ryouta speaks up to ask where you guys should
go to find something for Behemoth. He hastily adds that it’ll be
something salty after Kengo gives him a Look.
Ryouta
suggests maybe going for salty caramel, but Kengo says that’s supposed
to be sweet too. Ziz then suggests meeting back up with Shirou and Kenta
and looking at the eat-in area since there are cafes there. There
should be something for Kengo there at least. You either say it’s a good
idea or ask what Kengo thinks.
Kengo
agrees, saying he wants some curry rice. Ryouta pulls out his map to
figure out where that area is, and Ziz says to call Shirou once you guys
decide which cafe to go to. Ryouta does that in the opposite order,
asking Shirou to meet them in the general area.
Some
time later you guys are close to the eat-in section but unable to find
it, so Ryouta suggests asking someone. The person he tries asking turns
out to be Shinya, who comments on the coincidence and asks if you’re
having fun. You greet him and ask about him being here too.
Shinya
says he’s working as part of the staff at one of the cafes. You tell
him you guys are going over there and ask him to show you the way. He
decides to mark it on the map since he has to be somewhere else for a
bit. He’s hoping there won’t be any issues with customers, but things
happen. Anyways he excuses himself and hopes you guys have a good time.
You say you’ll see him later and thank him for helping.
Some
time later you find Shirou. When he sees you he checks with Kenta to
make sure the Evils are there too. Kenta says Inugami was watching and
that the Evils have been keeping in line. Shirou then comes over and
asks you if this is the right place and if you guys can go in since it
seems busy.
Ryouta says it’s fine because
of the ticket system and thinks you guys might be in soon. You welcome
Shirou back, ask Kenta and Inugami if they had fun, or talk to the
Evils. Going A, he mentions cutting it close on time but things got done
in the end.
Ziz says it looks like the
cafe is letting people in now and says there seems to be some
explanation coming. Kengo starts fidgeting, which prompts Shirou to
wonder if he needs to use the toilet. It isn’t that, but Kengo says
there’s just something in the air, something he’s known from a long time
ago...
Kengo asks Ryouta if this is a
normal cafe, which baffles him. He figures it should be fine if Shinya
told you guys about it, and Ziz says you guys are next in line. And then
suddenly, mob cops start lining up to your shock.
Tajikarao
shows up to welcome everyone and says the cafe is called the Community
Police Cafe. You either react by calling it hell, asking if it’s heaven,
or be dumbfounded. Tajikarao notices you after that in surprise, and
Ziz comments on how well-known you must be to run into another
acquaintance. You either say it’s him or ask if he’s changing jobs.
Going
with B, Tajikarao protests that this is official business, but you
point out he’s enjoying himself a bit. He admits to it since it is a
festival and all. Anyways Kengo recognizes the feeling he has from all
the times the police took him in when he was in middle school and rounds
at Tajikarao.
Tajikarao for his part
mildly surprised to see Kengo here and refers to him as a rabble rouser.
Kengo cuts past that to ask why the trainee police are running a cafe,
and Tajikarao insists this is all official business for them. You tell
him not to cry or notice something.
Anyways
Tajikarao introduces himself to everyone around, and Ryouta says he
thinks the concept is interesting and that he likes it. You either ask
if he can actually run a cafe or say he’s good at cooking. Going with A,
Kengo scoffs at the idea and says when he was in middle school they put
everything in trying to guide and counsel him.
Tajikarao
tells you not to worry. Thanks to Daikoku hooking them up, Ebisu’s shop
is helping out the police cafe by supplying sweets. A bunch of other
people outside the police academy are helping out too, and Tajikarao
says the police also listen to citizens’ concerns.
You
say you see and understand why Shinya sent you here, say you’re okay
with things, or point out he didn’t actually deny anything. Tajikarao
then says it’s time to take you guys to your table, so you guys follow
him.
You guys are still technically outside
the cafe though, and someone somewhere thought it was a good idea for
the police cafe to have a giant iron gate for an entrance. Ziz says
there’s a gate just like it in Gehenna, which Behemoth backs up and
vaguely remembers something in the front of it. Ziz then says it had a
bunch of words carved into it. “Beyond me is the capital of sorrow.”
“Beyond me is eternal suffering.” “Beyond me is the people of ruin.”
Ziz
finds it all funny and says comments about passing through the cafe
gate together with Behemoth. Tajikarao explains that it’s the cafe door
and that it’s modeled after the gate the police academy uses. The main
point of it and the experimental cafe is to help people learn of the
school. You call the thing overdone, ask in shock what kind of school it
is, or ask if you have to abandon all your hopes here.
Kengo
complains that he’s remembering a bunch of stuff that he doesn’t want
to remember, and that he’s always hated that gate. Tajikarao goes on to
say that the school was founded for the Shinjuku Gate, and that guarding
the gate is important to the peace of the city.
Tajikarao
also says that a gate (or Gate?) doesn’t close, and if its light
doesn’t shut itself down or out or whatever, shadows are created. And in
Shinjuku, people who are knowledgeable about shadows get deployed
first. Daikoku takes the biggest shadow, Tajikarao unseals the shadows,
and Tsukuyomi apparently does something else, but Kengo interrupts,
demanding they go inside already.
Tajikarao
is fine with moving things along and asks if Kengo wants a katsudon. He
tells him that when he’s done with it he should reflect on all his
wrongdoings. Kengo in response says he didn’t come to be interrogated
and hasn’t done anything *lately.* But anyways Tajikarao then calls for
the gate to open up, which does so with a lot of heavy rumbling.
The
inside of the cafe is surprisingly normal, aside from the squad of
policemen welcoming everyone, and the main gang is shocked to see that.
Tajikarao doesn’t see what the issue is and hurries everyone to their
table. Once there he informs you guys your waiter will be there soon.
Tajikarao
says you can ask for any of the policemen to come to the table if you
want, then suggests asking him to come over later because he’ll tell you
anything you want to know. He then excuses himself, and Ryouta comments
on how standard it is to have waiters and looks forward to it.
Hougen
pops out from somewhere saying he’s been having fun since the shop
opened up too. You express surprise at seeing him, and you can go as far
as saying dirty old perverts should be executed. In any case Hougen
isn’t the waiter for your table, as he points them coming over. Kengo
wonders what’s so fun about talking to a police officer.
Touji
comes over as it turns out he’s your assigned waiter, and he rattles
off a welcoming spiel introducing himself before it clicks in his head
that you guys are there. After a round of silence, Touji reacts to this
by pulling his swords and brandishing them around. You either yell about
running or try to be cool and do a barehanded blade catch.
Going
A if it matters, Shirou yells that it’s all a coincidence and that none
of them knew he was there. Kengo however laughs his ass off finding it
hilarious Touji has swords with him in a waiter uniform. Touji yells at
Kengo saying he’ll purify his corrupted mind in response.
Kengo
is fine with this turning into a fight, but Shirou scolds him saying he
shouldn’t bother other people around him. Hougen steps in to head
things off, making Touji stop his flailing around. He comments that he
thought Touji was fine now, but says this is the worst he’s behaved so
far.
Touji tries to say this is all pretty
difficult for him since he used to work out of sight instead of being in
public like this. Hougen reminds him that he shouldn’t think of things
as black and white, saying Tajikarao doesn’t understand that either.
Hougen
has some quote going “if you reach the end of the shadows, you should
switch over to the unlimited light,” and he says the reverse is true
too. He also says that Touji needs to understand that everything comes
from a mix of yin and yang, then refers to the job as training.
Touji
acknowledges the advice and puts away his swords, then apologizes for
flying off the handle. Shirou changes pronouns and speech patterns for a
tack to be polite. Kengo agrees to let it go, but he stays his rude
self as he tells Touji to get him a menu, which pisses him off some
more.
Kengo orders an extra large curry
rice. Shirou decides to have a seasonal pasta for himself and some
pudding for the Evils. Kenta picks a strawberry parfait since Inugami
likes strawberries. You can pick the curry rice, the pasta, or Something
Else that the game never bothers to bring up.
Touji
tells you guys to slow down because he can’t write that fast. Also
children get a promotional extra: a key holder of one of the six
deities. Kenta’s happy about this and wonders what to get.
Touji’s
ready to keep going, so he talks to Behemoth next. Behemoth wants
almost everything on one of the pages to Touji’s shock. Behemoth also
starts breathing hard again, which Touji is puzzled by while Hougen just
watches. Ziz has problems deciding, so she asks about cake
recommendations.
Touji bluntly tells her it
should be in the menu, and Kengo is the one to tell him that’s not the
way to speak to a customer. Touji corrects himself, but Ryouta says the
menu says to ask the staff about cake recommendations. He’s shocked to
hear that, so Ziz awkwardly says she can ask someone else.
Touji
says it’s fine, then goes to look things up. He lists strawberry
shortcake, marron glacé, gateau chocolate with chou à la crème, some
sort of matcha cake, and lastly a special chocolate roll cake.
Hougen
is surprised Touji actually managed to say it all, and Touji says he
will at least manage to get this much left-to-right writing done at
least. Ziz decides to go for the roll cake. Touji asks if there’s
anything else, then says to roll the dice while they wait. You can ask
him about that or say you understand what that’s about.
Hougen
explains that since the cafe is for making new experiences, there’s
some dice there with different activities on the faces. Two examples are
“see the police officer’s specialty” and “play hide and seek and
arresting.” Touji brings a list of officers who you can pick, so you
pick him.
He’s shocked by this, and Ziz
rolls the dice since she thinks it’s fun. Touji protests that he’s not
even a police officer, but Hougen says he should roll with it and take
it as training. The dice stops, and Hougen says the result is “have a
happy chat with the police officer.” Touji sighs and tells you guys to
get on with it, and Kengo says maybe you picked the wrong guy for this
activity. Behemoth thinks things can only go downhill with Touji
slashing and burning things.
Ryouta decides
to get the ball rolling and asks Touji about the cafe’s concept.
Tajikarao slides in to answer, and you can either ask where he came from
or ask if this means you have two people to talk to for this. Tajikarao
says he came over by himself even if he wasn’t picked, then asks to
join.
Touji expands on Tajikarao’s answer
of police officers and says the cafe is about communication with the
public. Hougen says there’s been a lot of scandals and other problems
lately, and that many people feel the police’s image is overbearing, so
he helped out with coming up with this plan.
Hougen
whispers to you that the new officers are doing their best at serving
customers here and the other point of the cafe is to watch over them as
they do that. You can either try to call for the police to arrest
Hougen, say it’s a good idea, or ask him to stop breathing into your
ear.
Going A, Shirou says it’s an
incredible case of abuse of authority and that it’s refreshing in its
own way. The event battle theme suddenly starts playing, and Ryouta
comments that it reaches inside the cafe too. Touji doesn’t actually
know what’s up with it and asks if you know what it’s for. Shirou gives a
skipped over explanation, and after he hears it Touji thinks it’s
pretty good.
Since the food hasn’t come
yet, Ryouta figures they don’t have to dance this time and turns to
Behemoth. Behemoth however is acting strangely, and Touji tells Ryouta
to get away from him. Behemoth almost slams the table to pieces in a
fit, but Hougen jumps around and pulls it away before he ends up doing
that.
Ziz tries to get Behemoth to calm
down, and Kengo says Behemoth is rampaging again. Shirou asks how this
happened since Behemoth was behaving until moments ago. This attracts
public attention, so Hougen sees if Touji knows how to handle this.
Touji
quickly thinks and tells everyone this just happens to be an activity
on the dice, a dance show. Behemoth yells, and Hougen tells him to keep
going then. Hougen also tells all the other officers to pull the other
tables back to prevent damages to people. Touji turns to you and tells
you to work with him to get Behemoth out the door. You either agree,
confidently say you guys can work together, or worry if it’ll work.
Going
A, Touji says to do things as normal. Shirou says the rest of them will
help you to get Behemoth out of here, and Ziz calls Behemoth’s name
before the episode battle starts.
