Seaside Fasionista Episode 4 Part 4

We pick back up with the exploitative customers whining about wanting someone new to serve them already and badly acting like they’re bored. The pirate wonders if the store will try something soon, and the maid suggests they stay just a bit longer before going to the next place. The governor talks about how nice it is to have a charming little dream for cheap before all three of them laugh.

The lights suddenly black out, though the problem customers aren’t shaken by it. The pirate guesses they’re going to see a show like they would in any other store, and the maid jokes he shouldn’t say that since there’s only so many things the store can do to surprise them. The governor says it would be boring to be predictable and asks for something shocking, and the group laughs again.

The store lights all gather to one spot, which naturally gets everyone’s focus at the same point where Arachne is standing. Arachne apologizes for the sudden happening and introduces herself as a passing fashion designer, which does shock the customers. Arachne talks about the other places she did her shows and says there’s going to be one here. There’s only one thing to present but she hopes everyone enjoys the guerrilla fashion show.

The customers start asking why there’s a fashion show starting in a host club. Arachne asks if they were surprised and directs their attention to the stage. She then starts describing Suzuka as a high school girl and someone who’s super famous in Kabukicho. She carries everyone’s expectations and will always meet them.

But that alone would be dull, so Arachne says if she can’t betray expectations, she should do that with something else. The lights flip off for Suzuka to switch outfits as Arachne asks everyone to behold her newest creation. When Suzuka is revealed in her suit, the whole store shakes in surprise, including Tsukuyomi.

Arachne talks about how surprising it is, so much that anyone would go “oh my god no way” or “they really went there.” She thinks if anything is going to be done, it should go all the way. Tetsugyuu is shocked and thinks Suzuka is going overboard, but he does think this is unexpected and cool. Ibaraki just expresses amazement.

The jackass customers, or at least one of them, are surprised that the host oozing dangerous charm is a high school girl. The maid asks to have Suzuka accompany them. I assume it’s the governor trying to calm the others but admits to being unable to tear their eyes away from Suzuka.

Arachne laughs and points out how astonished they are before moving on to describing the suit. She talks about Kabukicho having a unique charm in its gaudiness and bling, the overflowing charm that gathers more attention than all else. Just like other clubs, the suit uses brilliance to make its wearer stand out.

The suit also has elasticity and memory shape to prevent creases going for it, as Arachne focused on preserving its elegance. Arachne then talks about how Suzuka has expectations put on her by others and how she doesn’t want to fail them. She’s always relied upon and always came through. She’s unexpectedly earnest, and yet...

Suzuka notices that Arachne seems to be having a moment of personal issues coming up. Arachne starts talking about how she couldn’t go against her own expectations and falters a little. You call out to her and look at her.

Arachne looks at you, closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She apologizes and gets on with the show. Back to what she was saying, it’s a bit boring to be like that and not betray predicted outcomes. She’ll meet expectations, but she’ll do whatever she’s doing all the way. And with Arachne’s clothes she can make it happen. Arachne then yells with palpable heartbreak for people to look at what Suzuka will do.

Suzuka sighs a bit about Arachne describing her as just meeting expectations and being a boring person who doesn’t upset predictions, then takes it as a challenge and says she’ll show her, her best friend.

Suzuka walks over to the problem customers and thanks them for waiting. The governor is surprised she really came over and says they shouldn’t be fooled because she’s a high school girl. The maid argues that Suzuka is brighter than everyone they’ve seen so far, then wonders if Tsukuyomi is like this too.

The pirate tells them to stay focused as they are the customers and have the advantage, though Suzuka interrupts to introduce herself as Eboshi and greets them. The customers greet her back, and Shino expresses surprise at how Suzuka is. Tsukuyomi laughs a little and says even he is surprised. He compares it to one of those things from out of the blue, or a joke turning real like the deepest lore.

You say Suzuka looks good or cool. She glares at you in response. Tsukuyomi asks her to stop and says she should smile, then asks the others to help her. Ibaraki agrees enthusiastically while Shino says Tsukuyomi better pay up like they agreed.

Suzuka asks the customers if they’ll have this one drink. The governor tries to protest that it’s expensive and not on the discount list. Suzuka starts with the flirting about how she likes it and wanted them to taste it too, comparing it to sharing a kiss. The governor caves and orders it.

The maid tries to object, and the governor argues one bottle will be fine since they scraped and saved some money up up to this point. Shino runs over to bring the bottle, and Suzuka suggests that they get yet another bottle of something else as a commemorative blessing.

The maid tries to turn the suggestion down, but the pirate jumps at the idea and asks that blessing be given only to him. Ibaraki slides in with it right away. Suzuka raises her glass in a toast and says they can have a drink too. The maid tries to resist and says they’ll be in debt if they do so. The governor says he can’t bring himself to go against Suzuka’s smile.

The pirate gives up and says they can just borrow money. Ibaraki is surprised at how Suzuka has pushed them, and Tetsugyuu has misgivings about letting this go on, even if Suzuka is doing way better than they thought she’d be as a host. Neither Shino or Tsukuyomi have anything to say. You either have faith in Suzuka, wonder if Suzuka should be stopped, or ask what Arachne thinks.

Arachne is playing with a nonalcoholic cocktail as she answers. She thinks Suzuka will be fine. Back to Suzuka, she seems to be having a problem with the pirate being so willing to throw himself into the poorhouse for this. The pirate throws all caution to the wind and offers to treat everyone in the house a round of drinks. Suzuka says he should stop since it’d be stupid to go into debt over fun.

The pirate disagrees and figures that money is money, borrowed or not. Suzuka snaps and punches him and yells that Kabukicho is not that nice. She apologizes after that but repeats that they should ease up since underestimating the world will hurt them.

Suzuka talks about how the normal world is filled with awful things, awful enough to twist people. She takes their hands and looks them right in the eyes and tells them they should smile while they’re with her. They’re captivated and agree.

Shino comments on his own surprise at how Suzuka defused what seemed to be turning into a fight. Tsukuyomi says Suzuka did well to match expectations yet upset predictions. Suzuka then suggests they go treat everyone a drink like they said. The pirate protests about their finances, but Suzuka says they misunderstand, as she was always planning to pay for it.

The customers are surprised, and Suzuka asks if they didn’t hear it that way. If they didn’t, then maybe so. She figures that they’ve been regretting something somewhere in their hearts from long ago. Anyways she prompts them to pick up a glass of whatever they like for a toast. Everyone present joins in.

Glasses clink, and for the time being afterwards, the club is filled with a genial mood. The customers say they’ll come again and ask her to join them again then before leaving. You say it was fun and how the drink was great. You also ask if Shino and the others drank the same thing.

Suzuka tells you that you drank the same thing she did: apple juice. She asks if it felt special when you drank it. They didn’t bring out any booze today, though she isn’t saying there’s none. They just wanted lots of people to enjoy the new place.

Tsukuyomi says she has the spirit of a host, where someone could probably get drunk even off juice. Suzuka shrugs and doesn’t disagree, then suggests when you can go drinking that you two have a drink. She’ll get something special put aside and asks you to join.

Tetsugyuu expresses surprise that Suzuka managed to steer things to this conclusion. Tsukuyomi asks someone to go make a new signboards for their newest host. Suzuka complains about how everyone is speaking without thinking and asks what they think she is.

Arachne comments on how well Suzuka upset the predictions and how she could make even her give up. You add in your compliments to Suzuka, tell Arachne she did good, or say it all worked out.

Ibaraki is quiet and runs off. Tetsuya shows up, and Gyoubu comes over to him and asks if he came to tell Suzuka what he thought. He claims he just came to check out what the fuss he heard earlier was and that people who change have no words to receive from people like him.

Tetsuya then comments that those who change will, and those who don’t won’t. Everyone who changes will leave town while those like him will never do so and stay there, he notes sadly. He leaves, and Gyoubu sighs over how all the young ones in Kabukicho are socially awkward.

Gyoubu then excuses himself from the pleasant small talk going on and points out there’s still customers waiting to talk to Suzuka. She says she’ll be going, but then asks (you and Arachne I think) to stay a bit longer so you guys can all go out for ramen before going home.

Ibaraki then calls out to Arachne having genderbent himself asking her that store manager fashion designer to hold up please wait. Arachne is surprised and asks who she is.

Ibaraki says he she’s just some passing mystery lady. Arachne is baffled at the odd speech patterns but moves on to ask why they’re talking to her. Ibaraki says ‘she’ came to apologize for underestimating her ability and badmouthing her clothes in the shop. Now that she’s seen how fucking awesome Suzuka’s suit is she has to give her mad props. High praise. Yes.

Arachne seems touched, and Ibaraki decides to cut off there and excuses himself, blushing madly. Arachne watches him go without saying anything as she squeezes her own hands.

Sometime after everyone’s left, there is a message on Suzuka’s phone. “I’ve finished your work clothes earlier, but your real request of a swimsuit will be started on immediately. Look forward to the best, sickest swimsuit ever okay? From your best friend.” And so the episode ends.
