The Beachside Hut and Andvara Falls Episode 1 Part 2

Seth starts things off by narrating things, describing himself as a master of storms and thunderclaps. He is the great destroyer and protector of desert travelers. A rough setting is his specialty, so if you ever find yourself in such a place you should call for him. He’ll be there with his ever present smile, cool and badass. He’s the one everyone relies upon and the one everyone fears.

Seth then says that’s how he decided to be, even if all he was before was the protector of a peaceful desert oasis. After all, the thought of doing so ended up popping into his head.

Back to the present, things tune in a little after the confrontation with the yaksha as you report the incident to Andvari. There’s been a sudden meeting called after things have been resolved just in case to make sure things don’t escalate again. Makara is glad it didn’t become something big as a bunch of smaller things have been happening at the other swimming area.

You comment on Makara also working at the resort and say you’ll be counting on him. Makara laughs and says he’s starting work there that day, and he’s a life guard. Andvari vouches for his credentials, saying that even if he somehow mismanages the resort he can’t have an accident happen on his watch. Makara is happy to be valued but reminds him that he’s still just one person. Andvari says he knows, so for now the plan is to clear up any issues that occur in front of them.

Nomad changes the subject and says that based on the trash you guys have collected there won’t be enough space at the pick up area. He suggests that he go make some temporary room where he can, which he should be able to deal with now before the beach hut gets crowded.

Andvari admits to underestimating things a little, then has you, Seth, and Goemon continue with cleaning duty. If anything serious threatens to happen he says you guys should put a stop to it. He also reminds you guys to stay hydrated and take care against sunburns. He doesn’t mind breaks, but you better not go slack off. You either respond in the affirmative in one of two ways or you comment on how nice the sand is.

In A Seth says he has everything handled as a desert ruler so you can relax. Andvari points out in bafflement that beaches and deserts are not the same thing, though he doesn’t harp on the point since Seth is working diligently. In C Andvari initially jokes about how he can’t have people talking about his business being Employee Hell. He admits it is hard work, but figuring out how to keep people working for him as long as possible is also a part of good business.

Anyways, more customers are coming in, so Andvari ends the meeting and says you and Goemon will be helping as needed. Nomad tells Goemon to watch how Seth works and offers to make him yakisoba during his next break. Goemon is excited at the prospect and suggests to you and Seth to work hard as a team.

As he runs out, he wonders if the way he acted went over well and if he did it right. He thinks Goemon’s image is of a simple and hasty guy, so he thinks he nailed it. You call after Goemon and say to Seth you guys should go after him. Seth sighs and says he’ll accompany you guys as the protector of the desert beach. He then takes a moment to wonder if he acted like Seth well enough, though he thinks he did good.

Goemon yells for you guys to hurry up, saying he’ll take all the yakisoba of you guys don’t. Seth is confused and wonders why he has this strange sense of commonality with him.

Time skips a little as the yaksha are playing with Kenta, with one asking him to look at her sand castle. Another suggests adding the shell he found earlier to the castle. Off to the side Gouryou is moaning about wanting to make sand castles with the yaksha too. Typhon is depressed a kid is more popular than them and says it’s unfair. You can either try to comfort both of them, offer to play with Gouryou, or ask if Typhon can become a child.

In B Gouryou laughs and says that you shouldn’t make that offer so carelessly. You might be the one to get burned. In C Typhon seems to like the idea of shrinking himself as a way to get attention. Anyways Barguest says he’s glad Kenta made some new friends thanks to you. You can then compliment his swimsuit, compliment Kenta’s, or try to remember where you’ve heard the yakshas’ JK slang speak.

Going A, Barguest is surprised but a little happy. He says it’s a bit worn out since he bought it second hand. Kenta then talks about feeling closer to Inugami when he wears his swimsuit, and Inugami is happy too. A yaksha says she understands. The gangster Sis they looked up to put on a swimsuit once, which they thought was weird as hell, but they thought it looked cool and decided they wanted to wear one too to be just like her.

Another yaksha admits that even with them dressing up like her they aren’t quite at the same level on a soul level. Goemon inserts himself into the conversation to deny that point, surprising them. He talks about how if you change your outside, your inside will change suit to follow. A yaksha seems interested and asks if he means it. He admits that he wishes it were true.

The yaksha get annoyed and think he’s making fun of them, but Goemon advocates for doing all that you can if you want to change. Seth is surprised by Goemon’s speech before noticing something coming from his radio.

A call comes in from Makara saying something’s happened, so he asks for anyone available to be sent over to help with some organizing. Goemon hears this and asks what this is about. Seth says it looks like a commotion is happening elsewhere and says you guys should go.

Scene shifts to another part of the beach where a crowd is gathering. Some guards are asking people to not push and to not get in the way of the photography. You wonder what’s going on and wonder about the photography bit. You also feel that they seem familiar. Makara tries to get the crowd to disperse because people could fall over like dominos if anyone is knocked over.

Once the crowd leaves you can see who it was they were gathering around to look at. Suzuka sighs now that things have calmed down and asks who thought it’d be okay to have a secret photo op. Tetsugyuu suggests it’ll be impossible to carry out here since they’ll quickly be seen. Tsukuyomi says they’ll just have to put up with a certain amount of gawking. He figures if the crowds are given sufficient warning they won’t cause a repeat fuss.

Tsukuyomi then talks about how harsh the sun is and hopes to finish things quick so he can cool off at a pool. Suzuka snaps at him to get a grip. He calls her serious before noticing your presence and winks as he fixes up his clothes. Tetsugyuu is happy to see you and asks if you’re working here. You are surprised to see the Outlaws and comment on them causing a scene.

Suzuka asks if you also came all this way for work. It’s pretty tough for a student. She apologizes for the fuss and says they didn’t expect this to happen. Ibaraki says they can’t be too proud of it since they do stand out. You can then compliment either Suzuka, Tsukuyomi, or Tetsugyuu on their swimsuits.

Going A, Suzuka gets flustered and tells you not to make fun of her. She’s still not quite comfortable with wearing it in public yet. She then admits that you complimenting her isn’t a bad thing and thanks you for it.

Anyways Makara asks why the Outlaws got that crowd together. Tsukuyomi says they didn’t try to gather people around, it just happened. A guard/cameraman then runs up to ask Tsukuyomi to continue with the photo shoot. He leaves with a wink before getting to it.

Suzuka says Tsukuyomi is doing something a little different, doing a photo shoot for a gravure magazine. It’s themed as a day off set of the popular student host, though fans have gotten wind of it and started crowding them. Tsukuyomi seems to be enjoying things as he asks the cameramen to take good photos.

Ibaraki scoffs and says he doesn’t see how Tsukuyomi can be so proud of his looks, then mutters to himself about pretending that he wasn’t always like that. You comment that Tsukuyomi seems to like his personal appearance, but it seems a little different from narcissism. Tsukuyomi laughs, and Seth and Goemon both are confused about this sense of commonality with him. They’re also confused by the other saying the same thing.

Anyways Tetsugyuu asks if Tsukuyomi really is fine with a place so sunny. Suzuka says the rest of the guys were brought over to carry him if it comes to it. She’s glad that not everyone came because her underlings also came along and stared at her. Goemon notices something and asks if they’re with the yaksha and brings up the kite stealing their lunch.

Suzuka says she got a text about that and apologizes for what they did. You either say it was tough, tell her it’s okay, or say they resembled her. Tetsugyuu notices the bit about birds stealing their lunch and panics about his. Suzuka says they took it too. He gets distraught over this, so Suzuka says they can go to some of the nearby places for something to calm him down. She complains about having to do this and swears to make Tsukuyomi pay for it.

Suzuka then suggests they go for lunch while Tsukuyomi is still working so he can’t cause something if he were to join. Tetsugyuu is happy to do so, though Suzuka makes mention of feeling like the weather will turn for the worse.

Kenta runs up to get you guys. Everyone waves to him, but when he gets closer her yells about something happening to the yakshas. One of them comes up to Suzuka in a panic asking her for directions. She tells her to calm down and asks where one of them is, then points her out to you when she sees her.

One of the yaksha is flailing in the water, so Seth tries to call for Makara over the radio. He doesn’t respond though. Seth admits he’s a life guard too but isn’t quite ready to rescue someone in the water. He’s also surprised she’s out there since there are signs saying this part is a no swim zone.

Suzuka tells Tetsugyuu to come with her to save her. He moves but turns out to be unable to swim. Suzuka tries going it alone, but you either argue against that, ask Seth if Makara is picking up, or ask Goemon if he can swim.

Going B, Seth says there’s still no answer so he might be handling some other issue. Tetsugyuu comes back up saying something’s stuck to the yaksha’s body. As the girl tries calling for help, a bunch of jellyfish slime crowd her. Tetsugyuu thinks they’re trying to drown her, but Tsukuyomi points out they’re trying to prop her up, which you notice.

Seth asks if they’re friends with the slime jellyfish he picked up earlier. Suzuka demands that Tsukuyomi move his ass and help, but he says he’s not physically up for it with all his energy burned out from being under the sun. He’s almost struggling to stand as it is, then uses Tetsugyuu as shade. He objects to this in shock.

Anyways Tsukuyomi says it’ll be fine since there’s staff around to help, then looks at you. Goemon then comes up with an idea and suggests that Seth surf over to the yaksha. He’s alarmed by the idea and tries to argue against it, even dropping character to do so. You either point out that swimming normally isn’t a good idea in this case, say you guys are the only ones able to do something, or point out that he doesn’t have his surfboard.

Goemon pretends the surfboard thing is an issue for a few seconds before saying he can handle that, though he admits he’s not sure he can turn into an object. He then says that while the yaksha were posturing, you guys can’t just ignore them. So he’ll turn himself into a surfboard so you guys can save her. He also tells Seth to bluff like he did earlier as he calls him the desert ruler.

Seth is surprised and tries to focus. You cheer him on and say you guys will save the girl. The looks from you, Goemon, and the slimes reignite the fire of ‘Seth’s’ hidden dying wish, and Seth psyches himself up into saying he’ll do it. Rough areas are his specialty, and he asks you guys to help him save the yaksha.

Goemon transforms himself into Seth’s surfboard, and Seth is surprised at how much it looks like his own. It is bigger than his, but this way you both can ride out. Goemon urges you guys forward and sticks board at the end of his sentences. You either question this or be amazed at his transformation. Either way Seth steels himself and both of you run out with Goemon in tow.

Seth insists to himself he isn’t afraid of the ocean, then jumps onto Goemon. You settle in next to him, and Seth tells you to hold on. He also asks you to follow his movements, but you notice you guys aren’t picking up speed. Seth freaks out about that for a moment when jellyfish slime show up around you guys to prop up Goemon.

You ask if this is their way of thanking Seth for earlier and say you guys are speeding up now. Seth asks you to support him too to keep him from falling. He asks Goemon, the slimes, and Seth Original for strength, and the two of you go in for the rescue as framed by the episode battle starting. The story continues after that.

After the battle the scene shifts to where Makara is, who was sending some people who had heatstroke to the hospital while Gouryou and Typhon were helping him. Typhon waves off the thanks Makara gave him and Gouryou points out his radio had been going off.

A mermaid points out there’s two people surfing out there. A pirate is impressed and thinks dual riding is so cool. Makara is upset as this is a no swim zone, which includes surfing. Typhon notices that it doesn’t seem to be normal surfing movements going on over there, and Gouryou notices it’s you and Seth out there.

Back to your side you guys circle in closer to the yaksha. Goemon insists that you guys hurry up because holding you both is taxing him. You tell him to hold on for a bit longer. As you get closer Seth asks everyone to help a bit more. You reach her, and as she flails around her pulling hurts Goemon.

Seth rebalances the board and faces the yaksha. He holds his hand out to her and pulls her out, and it turns out she’s been caught by some garbage in the water. You move to cut it, then grab the yaksha from the air. Seth starts cheering to his brother, and Goemon joins in as he accidentally undoes his transformation.

Everyone is thrown into the air and falls towards the water when Makara, Typhon, and Gouryou all ride out to save you guys. You can chose which one to get saved by. In Makara’s case he says it was good of you to try to rescue someone but tells you not to overdo it. In Typhon’s case he initially jokes about not letting you go before telling you not to worry him. In Gouryou’s case he jokes about having caught you and asks if you fell for him again. Then he comments about all the trouble you get into.

The other three are saved by whoever’s arms you didn’t fall into. When you all get back, there’s a check to make sure you’re all okay. When that’s done, cheers and applause are given. Suzuka thanks you for saving the girl. Makara asks why she was in the water since no one should have been in it.

The yaksha explains that she got carried away looking for shells when she saw this one starfish. Suzuka is unimpressed and considers dunking her back in again. Tetsugyuu advises against that. Tsukuyomi flirts a little and says floating in a pool at night without thinking can be nice too.

The jellyfish slime burbles, and Seth asks if it was trying to repay him. He wasn’t trying to make it do so when he saved it but thanks it anyways. He swaggers a bit about how saving people in the desert is natural as a desert ruler. You either say it probably did come to repay his kindness or say he was cool as you call him desert ruler.

Seth talks about how picking up an underling at the beach means he’s going to be ruling the ocean too. He orders the slime to spread his glory beneath the waves, but the slime cringes at him. He’s put off by the way it seems disillusioned with him and asks it to stop looking at him like that.

Goemon says that Seth learned how to surf from this so it’s a two birds one stone thing. Seth denies it saying remembering it gives him the shivers so he’d rather stay out of the water for now. You comment that he still isn’t okay with the water yet and how shaky he is, but you say he had the courage to go out anyway.

Seth laughs and says that courage from before still isn’t enough to overcome his weakness on its own. He does feel that he’s not a coward anymore. He then loudly declares that he’ll be like Gouryou and Typhon one day and be cool as he masters the waves.

Goemon laughs and says he’ll need to keep up if Seth manages it. He talks about becoming a star for a bit before his stomach overtakes him, so he says he wants to eat already. You guys laugh as you head in, and the episode ends as the sun shines down upon your backs.
