Seaside Fashionista Episode 1 Part 2

Scene tunes in at Kabukicho in some back alley where Suzuka is playing around on her phone and looking at your post about the fashion event. She comments on that being the cutting edge of things as she starts looking at pictures of clothes being displayed there with interest.

Suzuka considers getting herself a new swimsuit on the idea that high school girls should be heathy beauties and that it isn’t a bad thing to show some skin under the sun. She smiles to herself as she thinks about what her idea of high school girls are like, then happily starts sizing up which swimsuits she’d wear.

Suzuka then notices one model and is shocked that they’re about the same age she is, so she starts looking closer at that piece. The picture she’s looking at shows a scene of friends playing at the beach, and the model looks like she’s dazzling and having fun. Suzuka then gets the idea that whatever she’s wearing is the current trend for high school girls. She’s in the middle of declaring that she’ll gut up and wear one like it too when Tetsugyuu pops up out of nowhere to yell about something.

This of course startles Suzuka into accidentally throwing her phone. To her the world seems to go into slow motion as she watches it fall towards the asphalt. Luckily Tetsuya manages to catch it as he tells her not to space out. She apologizes for that, then rounds on Tetsugyuu. He tries to excuse himself, but she says she’s told him over and over not to yell all of a sudden.

As Suzuka gets to the middle of mentioning Tetsuya catching her phone so her screen wouldn’t break, she slows down and remembers he still has it and could be looking at it. She turns around, and Tetsuya keeps a poker face on as he hands it back wordlessly. Her phone still is on the the swimsuit picture, so she freaks out and says it’s not what it looks like.

Tetsuya asks what she’s talking about, and Suzuka claims the swimsuit thing just shows up sometimes. Tetsuya doesn’t give much of a reaction, so Suzuka says the swimsuit is a bit much and asks what he thinks. He eventually says she should do whatever she wants. Suzuka seems disappointed but she agrees with the point.

Tetsugyuu says he was trying to tell Suzuka about the fashion event, but she starts beating on him and swearing to not care if he acts like this again. He can’t figure out what’s going on while Tetsuya just sighs. Gyoubu then shows up commenting on how Suzuka is awkward with social situations as always. He suggests that maybe Tetsuya should ask Suzuka to dress up in that swimsuit, but he snaps back that he isn’t good with that sort of thing.

Tetsuya says he talks a good game in the gambling parlor, but in the end he’s just bluffing. He feels that he’s not good enough with saying the right things to stand by them if it comes to it, but Gyoubu suggests that getting Suzuka to dress up her age might be one of the times to try. Tetsuya in response expresses surprise in how much of a meddler Gyoubu’s become.

Gyoubu apologizes and says it’s because he knows that’s what Tetsuya is like. He then talks about how helping a flower to bloom beautiful may be human nature and asks if Tetsuya will show some of that. Tetsuya stays quiet, so Gyoubu then suggests checking the event out for things they could wear for their own stores. It’s about money in the end, and Suzuka can be the judge.

Tetsuya brings up the possibility of things not going that way, so Gyoubu says that’s just the nature of gambling. Tetsuya then walks over to Suzuka and Tetsugyuu and tells them to stop since it’s time for work. Suzuka gets ready to go on patrol, but Tetsuya tells her she’s got something new today that will involve her eyes. She thinks he means buying stock for sale, but he points to her phone and the swimsuit pic.

Suzuka gets suspicious at that and says she’ll pick what she wears herself. Tetsuya then says he wants her to go pick new clothes for store workers in Kabukicho to wear at the event. Tsukuyomi apparently has a new store opened up for someone so they need to get it ready.

Suzuka asks if it was a store where people in suits welcome people, then says it doesn’t involve her and asks if she’s being told to wear one. Gyoubu has to deny that and says there are arrangements to buy clothes for other stores. If Suzuka is so against doing this they can find someone else to go evaluate things. Ibaraki then runs in and asks if that’s the work Gyoubu was talking to him about.

Suzuka is surprised by Ibaraki turning up, and Gyoubu says he figured Ibaraki could pick out stuff for men and women. Ibaraki tries playing dumb about the women’s clothing part but he seems confident about getting something good for guys. Suzuka then takes offense about having Ibaraki pick out clothes, and Tetsugyuu thinks to himself about how Ibaraki had picked out suits for the stores. For example he picked out something purple with gold threads and a flying dragon embroidered on the back.

Suzuka sighs and says she’ll do it because otherwise Ibaraki’s tastes will drive business to the ground. He’s surprised by this lack of faith, and Suzuka swears to get something good for business. Gyoubu says he’ll count on her while Tetsuya snorts, and the two of them share a knowing glance between them. Suzuka then sends you a tweet too about coming.

Scene then shifts over to the Crafters, and even they are interested in the trends going on in social media. Amatsumara comments on the suit he sees on his phone and the skills put into it, then asks what Kurogane thinks. Kurogane agrees and says it’s definitely something made by an artisan, pointing out how it fits large body builds yet doesn’t seem constrictive.

Amatsumara points out that the skill shown is pretty uncommon too with the way it manages to keep body lines clear. Kurogane talks about how not even 3D printers could make them so neatly and wonders what kind of designing software was used. He then starts pulling out some measuring tools to use on the pic of Tsathoggua.

Takemaru sees all of this happening and comments that he feels something out of place from the picture, like it was hastily improvised. Amatsumara figures it must have been made somewhere between one to three days, but says very few people would able to pick up on that kind of detail about it. In other words, you could call it really good handiwork too, maybe.

Takemaru says it feels like this is the first time he’s seen Amatsumara be so open about complimenting someone, but also picks up on the ‘maybe’ he added. He doesn’t deny it though. Kurogane says they’ve had their own share of rush orders, so if someone can pull this off maybe they’re okay. Amatsumara agrees and says it’s probably more a mental problem than an ability problem.

Amatsumara then starts talking about suits and how he’ll need one for an academic conference and that his has worn out. Aegir has been bothering him to make a new one apparently. Since there is a conference soon, Kurogane tells him he’ll need to get on that soon. Takemaru adds that since Amatsumara’s body frame is so strong that a normal tailor won’t be able to make a suit that will work for him.

Kurogane then asks whether the one who made Tsathoggua’s will take orders. Amatsumara thinks that it would be a good idea to get his one good suit fixed up since dealing with other shops would be annoying. And anyways he feels he’s got some grasp on dressing up. Takemaru says he should go get something nice to wear and find a companion since he’ll be working for life, and Kurogane agrees saying he’s happy when Amatsumara looks cool.

Amatsumara laughs and calls them cute. He also asks to not be called old do much. After a bit to collect his thoughts, then calls it training that they better not take for a pleasure cruise. Takemaru says it’ll be good to go look at other people’s works. Kurogane is excited for the possibility of finding someone to make him space clothes. Amatsumara then sends you a tweet too.

Scene shifts back to your end as you tell Arachne a lot of people will be coming, and that adults seem interested too. She’s pleasantly surprised and comments on how well known you are. She thinks that you’ll sell something at this rate and hopes even one person will like her things.

She tries to get you all pumped up to sell things, but then she notices Tsathoggua is gone. You both look inside the shop when you hear lumbering steps coming from outside. Tsathoggua comes over saying it’s an emergency, which Arachne doesn’t catch at first as she asks him not to take breaks without notice. Plus he has three bottles of honey drinks with him.

Tsathoggua says that’s not important right now and directs your attention to outside the shop by actually pushing you two over to look. When you get out there there’s a huge ass line that’s formed that’s preventing anyone from entering Arachne’s shop. They aren’t your customers of course, just people from all over the venue.

Some guards acting as salespeople are trying to keep some semblance of order as the one on the left tells people looking for eco friendly cloth bags from DelCover (or whatever Derukaba is supposed to stand for) to line up this way. The other one next to him is directing people over to get numbered tickets and asks people to not push or be impatient.

Arachne observes that a famous brand store nearby is selling a new product. Tsathoggua says they’re starting to crowd you out and no one can come in at this rate. A mage and mermaid ask you guys for tickets while a kid is frustrated they can’t find any official staff. Tsathoggua has to tell them you aren’t with that store and asks the crowd to not pull on his suit.

Arachne is shocked these are all customers for the one shop, but admits that brand has cute and beautiful things. She then considers going over to buy one for reference’s sake and getting a ticket. Tsathoggua thinks that’s not a good idea at the moment since all the customers coming around could make a mess of the store in the meantime. You either comment on the chaos, try to direct the line away, or ask for a ticket yourself.

A and B lead to the same thing where the salesmen try to get the line back under control. Tension rises in the crowd, and the salesmen’s yells are drowned out in the unprecedented levels of chaos. Tsathoggua asks what you guys should do since it’s getting crazy.

Arachne says it’s turning into a riot, which is something that should not happen at the event. She asks you two to wait, then starts walking over to the center of the crowd. Tsathoggua tries to stop her since it’ll be dangerous, but she turns back up just as quickly as she left.

Arachne has something with her that she says will bring things back under control. Tsathoggua asks what she plans to do, then asks where she got the megaphone. She answers the latter question by saying it was in the store. Tsathoggua then asks why she has so many papers with her. Those turn out to be the tickets the clerks had. She swiped them when they were knocked out.

Arachne tells you guys to get the crowd to converge in one point, which baffles Tsathoggua. You look out at the crowd, which has turned to your direction with the looks of predators in their eyes. Tsathoggua is freaked out by this focused aggression and asks what’s you guys will do. Arachne says the plan is to hand out the tickets.

Tsathoggua asks if it’s okay to be handing out tickets for another store. Arachne says the visitors are there to make themselves shine. Her own professional pride as a designer says she can’t ignore their desires, even if they’re looking for another brand.

Tsathoggua calls her a huge workaholic. He’d rather just sit around and do nothing but he can’t leave her since he feels she’ll collapse. Arachne starts walking towards the crowd, and Tsathoggua gives in after a moment to go after her. You tell him you guys will just have to do it, tell Arachne you’ll help hand the tickets out, or get ready to distribute them.

In A assuming it matters, Tsathoggua says he loves you and promises to pay you back for this. Arachne thanks you for helping and says you have the makings of a fashionista. You are confused by the word and ask if it means someone good at dressing up.

Arachne says that’s what she calls people who work hard for the sake of fashion, then urges you guys forward to deal with the crowd, which gets represented by the episode battle starting.
