Seaside Fashionista Episode 2 Part 3

The episode picks back up with Tsathoggua teleporting the three of you to Akihabara, and he comments on how tiring it is to teleport spam. Arachne thanks him and says the power would revolutionize delivery, though Tsathoggua changes the subject to ask about you guys being in Akihabara and not Arachne’s office.

Arachne says her office is just up ahead, then asks the two of you to go hang out at some cafe while she gets to work. She’ll call you guys when it’s done. You then ask if there’s any way you can help, though you can’t back her up as much as Gyumao can. Or you can ask if she’s not going to take you two to her office.

Either way Arachne panics at the thought of you being in her office and refuses. She calls it her sanctuary and a workspace of an artisan, so no noobs allowed. She then excuses herself to go over there, though she doubles back for a second to tell you to send her your cafe receipts, specifically to Office Arachne.

You comment on how suspicious her reaction was earlier and wonder what she could have over there. Or you can ignore that and say expenses are important. Either way you and Tsathoggua head to the cafe to wait. You order drinks, and Tsathoggua gives a big yawn as he talks about being able to relax with some honey drinks again. You then thank him for his work and say you’ll be counting on him for the return trip.

Tsathoggua says he’ll try to keep up a bit longer since this is for a friend. All that’s left is wait for Arachne to finish the clothes, and after that bit of work is done you guys can go home for the day. You have some worries about how this will all pan out, which Tsathoggua doesn’t give a response to at first. He eventually says Arachne will be alright. He himself is feeling okay about things ever since he wore the suit.

You ask him about all that. Tsathoggua admits that he didn’t want to say it, but it’s about that extra order Amatsumara was talking about. He seems embarrassed as he fidgets with the cuffs or hem of his suit.

Anyways, since he’s already brought it up he’ll go ahead and tell you. That time when Arachne was about to go make the suit, he asked her to make it charming. Specifically, he wanted it to be so charming that if you were to see it you’d tell him he looks good in it. Arachne probably just let it slip her mind at the time, but Tsathoggua is sure that must be the extra order (title drop).

You express surprise or something at that and say that’s what Amatsumara was talking about. Tsathoggua talks about how surprised he is about his suit. It’s never torn, gotten dirty or creased or restricted him since he’s worn it. Plus it’s taken his lazy ass image and made him look attractive to you.

Tsathoggua says he believes that is Arachne’s power. Right now she’s probably only using it unconsciously, but he feels she’ll be alright. You either compliment her and say she has talent, or you comment on him believing in her.

Tsathoggua says that when he put the suit on he found something that he wanted to do, which he thinks is amazing. He hopes that one day while he has the suit on, he’ll...do something with you, but he cuts himself off and claims it’s nothing, then gulps down his drink to avoid talking on it further. You either tell him he’s done good, suggest playing together later, or suggest going on a date. But whatever you choose, narration says he might not have heard you in his panic.

Several hours later, the three of you teleport back to Yoyogi after Arachne has called you about the clothes being done. She announces to the jocks that she’s back with Wakan’s clothes. Gunzou is amazed she’s done and asks if it’s in that case she’s holding. She confirms they are and says it’s natural for her to get this much done with her skills.

You comment that Tsathoggua was faster too, or you ask what the secret is to working so quickly. Either way Arachne says she did it by making use of the App’s effects. She’d activate the app, sew the cloth she measured out, then trace whatever she put into suspension when it returns to its original state. She’ll do a false stitching inside the app space, then use that image to do the real work after. She says that not even she could get it right the first time if she were to go straight for the real stitching.

Durga jumps up to ask her to show everyone what’s she’s made already since they’re all excited. Arachne says she understands the feeling and says the display will have its own kind of program. Wakan asks if Arachne has the thing he asked for, and she says she does. Arachne also says it’s time for the show to begin and asks if the prep work she called him about in the meantime is done.

Avarga says they did just as she asked, and also the students are having their break time conveniently enough. Tsathoggua asks what’s going on and points out it’d be faster if Wakan just changes right there. Arachne insists that even if this is one outfit this is an exhibition of her work, and as such there are ways that this should be done. She’ll take care of that though.

Some time later Arachne welcomes everyone to her impromptu fashion show. There’s only going to be one model but she hopes everyone enjoys, then has the event battle theme start playing when she snaps her fingers, cutting the spotlight on her while that’s happening.

Ashigara is alarmed by the show starting and the music playing, and Kyuuma wonders what Arachne is planning with the place so dark. Daisuke however is quick to compare this to a wrestler’s entry scene. Someone starts playing with the lights, and Durga points out that Wakan Tanka is there when the spotlight hits him.

Arachne starts describing Wakan Tanka as her latest customer and talks about how the guy who treats everyone kindly had something on his mind. That worry in his mind? A discrepancy between himself and his mind, a certain extra feeling that he’s noticed. The spotlight disappears as Arachne says he’ll now shine in her new fashion and says it’s time to show it. In the time the light went off and came back on, he’s changed to his new skin.

Arachne says that this time she’s challenged herself to make something sports casual, although it’s also been made for daily use. She starts off by describing the black hoodie and how it’s sleeveless to show off those burly arms. She talks about how as a basic in clothes design, black tends to divert attention away while brighter colors are for drawing attention where you want it to go.

As such, the light green shirts are meant to draw attention to Wakan’s lower body, particularly his thick legs. And since Wakan Tanka focuses on American football, his outfit is meant to display his body that Arachne compares to buffalo. Arachne also talks about how she focused on creating it to highlight his features.

Arachne then starts talking about the materials she used for it. The cloth is quick drying, but it’s also very sturdy. It’s also been created to handle other sorts of aggressive actions, and it also feels great to the touch too if you want to get a feel.

The last point on the presentation is about how it’s not a uniform for Wakan, but some specially important clothes for him. It’s to help him face a special day with the same sort of feelings he carries into his games, a motivator for facing his new feelings.

The show ends there, and Arachne prompts everyone to applaud for Wakan Tanka. After the lights turn back on like normal, Arachne asks for everyone’s impressions. Durga says she really likes it and adds that Wakan looks great in dark clothes. Gunzou says he thinks the dark lines on the shorts were cool. Kyuuma thinks a dark hoodie combined with a bright smile is cheating and says he might start crushing on Wakan.

Ashigara says it was great and starts considering trying out casual clothes since he thinks clothes that show off muscles would suit him. Daisuke says he was moved and hopes that one day...he doesn’t finish the sentence.

Arachne asks what Wakan thinks after he stands there quietly for a second. She settled on a casual-chic look with black as the main component, and she hopes it’ll give him a sense of tension and specialness when he wears it. She didn’t intend it as daily wear or game wear, but as another uniform for him. She hopes it helps him feel like standing his ground rather than run.

Wakan Tanka is quiet for a second before saying Arachne has a special power and talking about how she used his Shadow to tailor these clothes. He feels it can change who he was up until now, expose the self he kept hidden.

Arachne seems shocked and asks if he “also” feels it’s better to have kept it hidden. He answers that he was afraid of showing himself. But even so, his chest is throbbing. He says he likes the design for sure and how it links his body so much to football. Wakan then thanks her saying he can figure things out thanks to the clothes.

Arachne seems touched this time, and Tsathoggua talks to her saying how happy he is for her and how her skill is genuine. Arachne says she’s so happy and seems ready to cry...except she then segues right into billing the jocks 10 million coins for the product.

Gunzou yells oh no and says that’s really freaking expensive. Ashigara readies himself to hit something , though Kyuuma tries to stop him from committing robbery. Wakan seems surprised himself, then sadly tells Arachne he can’t pay her that much like he’s already mentioned. He does promise to somehow pay her back for it though.

Durga tries to come with ideas to get the money and suggests they all pick up part time jobs. Gunzou wonders how much they could earn as students. Kyuuma offers to do deliveries while running and tells Wakan not to take it all on by himself. Wakan thanks everyone, and you try to calm everyone down and point out that wouldn’t bring in much.

Arachne is shocked at somehow looking like the bad guy and says she was trying to charge a fair price. Tsathoggua tells her that’s too heavy a burden for people to carry. You either comment that there wasn’t a happy ending or that this is a serious problem, or you can suggest they could just get the money by joining the Ikebukuro arena rankings.

Mineaki runs in at this point asking if he’s late, saying it took him some time to get some reference materials sorted out. Avarga laughs about him looking like he’s at a wake. After an offscreen explanation Mineaki is brought up to speed and has a suggestion he wants to make.

Arachne thanks him for understanding and says she’s also a little put off by the mood. Tsathoggua asks what everyone is going to do, and Mineaki says that naturally the students can’t pay for something so expensive. Arachne asks what the alternative is since she can’t very well do this for free either.

Mineaki has an idea in mind and asks her to look at some albums he’s brought of students. Kyuuma notes that there’s a lot of pictures of the older students, and Durga finds a couple of pictures of her winning a track and field event. Gunzou finds a picture of him and rugby team winning a game last month and another picture from half a year ago.

Ashigara also finds a pic of him in there too. Tsathoggua says there are newspaper and magazine interviews in the albums too, then points out everyone looks great. Arachne is then shocked by the jocks’ abilities.

Mineaki says that the school is pretty famous I think. Wakan Tanka also does interviews pretty regularly. Avarga vouches for Kyuuma and Daisuke as guys who will be going places in the future, which Arachne doesn’t say anything to. Daisuke is happy about the compliment but asks what the teachers are planning. Kyuuma can’t tell where they’re going with this either.

Mineaki says there are a lot of other promising students there too, though before he says any more Arachne stops him as she knows what he’s heading towards. Rather than getting paid, they’re suggesting she sponsor the teams. Avarga confirms her suspicions. You either say you understand, ask for an explanation, or say the teachers came through.

If you don’t ask, Ashigara does because the word was in English. Arachne gives the explanation and says it’s advertising to put it simply. She says if the jocks get into the spotlight while wearing her clothes, Mineaki finishes the sentence for her saying that a lot of people will see her clothes. He’s sure that a lot of people in the sports world will see at least.

Arachne says her work will definitely go become the top brand of student sports clothing if she has the skill, so she agrees to the sponsorship. You either ask if she’s sure or comment on how she’s so quick to decide. Going A if it matters, she calls it an investment. Gyumao likes making investments too, so she thinks that if he gets involved too, her own risk is decreased.

Arachne then says it probably wouldn’t have worked if she were the one to suggest this, so she thanks the teachers for their part. Mineaki thanks her for her understanding and says he’ll forward the details to his superiors. You either ask him if that’s okay or be amazed school students can get sponsored.

Mineaki says that there already are lots of students in the school trying to become pro athletes and can get sponsorships. Better yet, the ones trying to be pros are actively looking for sponsors. Arachne then tells Wakan there won’t be a charge because of the deal. He thanks her and says he’ll treasure the clothes and take care of them. She says she hopes he’ll wear them often.

Durga is happy for Wakan and expresses slight envy that he got nice clothes for free. Arachne tells her to relax since she’ll make them clothes too at some point since she’s a sponsor now. Gunzou is fired up at this, Kyuuma is happy and requests clothes with a baseball motif, and Ashigara hopes to ask her to make something for him, probably an ornamental apron.

Arachne is taken back a bit and tells them it’ll be after her brand gets launched. She’d otherwise never be able to get things done no matter how many arms she has. The jocks cheer while the teachers smile like they saw this coming.

Some time later you guys are out front in the school as Arachne suggests going home for the day since she’s feeling tired. Tsathoggua agrees with the feeling, though Avarga comes over to stop you guys for a second because there’s still something left to do. Arachne is surprised and asks what it is, so Avarga tells Daisuke to go talk to you guys already and stop hiding behind him.

Daisuke is so nervous he trips over his pronouns for a sec as he talks about wanting to be a pro wrestler. Arachne can’t hear him and asks him to speak up. Daisuke yells that he’ll save up his money, then asks that Arachne one day make costumes for himself and for you. He’ll says stick with wrestling until he can make it a reality, then runs off after.

After a moment to process that, Arachne says she has to help him now. You congratulate her for getting a future customer, and Arachne says this is the first time anyone’s said that to her, that they had such a high opinion of her work.

Avarga sighs and says Daisuke could have just said all that on his own, then says he’s got some concerns with Arachne. Something about her being like the jocks I think? Something about danger? Mineaki says that from what he can ‘see’ her own Shadow...is something he decides to stop talking about aside from not needing them to get involved with. He wishes you good luck and invites you over if you want to get advice.

You either say you’ll take care of it, say it’s going to be hard from here on in, or say you’ll work hard. In any case Tsathoggua asks if you guys can leave already because he’s just about willing to flop down and sleep right there as he falls on his butt. Narration says that one piece of fashion has been made, but there still remains one problem. There’s still only a little time left until the big fashion show. Is it glory or ruin that awaits you upon solving the questions? Your adventures in the Tokyo Mode Collection have only just begun as the episode ends!
