Camera
then tunes back in at the entrance of the event venue. Kengo is
surprised by how big the place is and asks if all the carts carry
sweets, though he’s fine with whatever so long as there’s chocolate.
Shirou says a bunch of events are happening too and suggests setting up
some personal free time on the way.
Ryouta
hands out some tickets to the other guys so they can go in, telling them
to be careful because you can’t go in *or* out without it. But there
are event staff on hand everywhere to help, so it should be okay. You
can then say you’re excited about the sweets, talk to Shirou about the
events, or ask Kengo if there’s any sweets he doesn’t like.
Going
with B, Shirou lists off some examples like handmade stuff and sugar
sculpting. After that you get another choice to talk to one of the guys.
You can either compliment Shirou’s new clothes, invite Kengo to go
clothes shopping, or compliment Ryouta’s outfit.
Going
with A, Shirou gets a bit shy as he thanks you. You guys went shopping
together at one point and he decided to try what he bought on for the
first time. He then compliments you on your outfit.
In
any case Ryouta makes an announcement out of introducing Kenta. At this
point I forget if his last name was ever mentioned when he was released
but Kenta’s last name is Inukai. Ryouta then prompts Kenta to say
something, but he doesn’t.
Flashback back
to last night with Barguest’s call. He asked you if you could take Kenta
to the Valentine Festival. He originally was planning to take him
there, but something’s come up that he doesn’t elaborate on. He also
offers to do whatever he can to thank you for this.
Back
to the present Kenta starts stammering out an introduction, then makes
mention of there being a lot of People as he looks at everyone around in
fear. Inugami starts growling and showing hostility, but Kenta reminds
reminds him that Barguest said to play nice today.
Shirou’s
interest is piqued and asked if Inugami is from kojutsu. Ryouta asks
what that is, and Kengo figures it’s something occult in some way. You
can either ask too or recognize the term and try to start explaining.
Shirou is pleasantly surprised if you pick B.
Either
way Shirou explains it to the class that it’s a form of making a
sacrificial curse, of which Inugami is one kind of. It’s a black magic
done by forcing a bunch of things into a sealed container and making
them fight and eat each other. Whatever’s left is said to have enormous
power borne of the collected sadness and resentment of hunger. Sticking
that one in another sealed container and repeating the process could
generate an even stronger power.
Anyways,
if Inugami is what Shirou thinks it is, it is less a dog that once was
and more a kind of spirit being. You can then say what an awful thing
that is to have happened, say it sounds kind of familiar, or keep quiet.
Kenta
then tries to get Inugami to calm down by telling him that it’s you. He
starts listening, so Kenta reminds him that you once saved him and
Barguest by the casino. You either welcome Kenta, say you got a call
from Barguest, or talk to Inugami. Inugami bounces out of Kenta’s
backpack to start licking your cheeks.
Kenta
is surprised Inugami would treat anyone else beside him that way. Kengo
says it looks more like he’s treating you like a child than acting like
it likes you, but shrugs. Kenta then says that you’re probably a good
person who won’t lock him up and beat on him.
Kenta
gets timid again after looking at the gang and lowers his head. Then he
tries introducing himself over again and thanks them for having him
along today. Ryouta gives him a friendly greeting, and Kenta tries to
get Inugami to calm down and sit.
Inugami
stops licking you and bows to everyone too, and Kenta introduces him. He
had been looking forward to this for a while, so when Barguest had to
back out he was happy you guys agreed to bring him along. Inugami is
excited too, he says.
You ask if it’s okay
to take a dog inside or ask if it’s fine to give him chocolate. Going
with B, Shirou says chocolate is dangerous for normal dogs. Kenta
explains it’s okay, and that Inugami eats the feelings that are
contained in chocolate.
Ryouta talks about
Barguest not being able to make it, and Kenta sadly accepts it as a part
of Barguest’s work. You suggest getting stuff for Barguest too, which
Kenta is happy about. After that you say him having chocolate together
with everyone will be great. Off to the side, Behemoth watches in
silence.
Shirou talks about how there are
other people who couldn’t make it, but things happened there so it
would’ve been hard to make plans anyway. Ryouta still has leftover
tickets but figures they can come later. Kengo says Hanuman and
Tsathoggua are out at a game competition while Agyou is being treated
for cavities.
Ryouta says Agyou was crying
hard when he left for the dentist, then hopes he won’t have to go
through that either. Kengo then mentions that Moritaka and Touji left
early that day and turned down going with the group. Shirou definitely
knows something as he keeps quiet, but for some reason Kengo interprets
those two as running out on them.
Whatever
the case may be with the guys, Ryouta suggests having enough fun for
them and getting them presents. Shirou then says he wants to make a
general explanation of the area. Up ahead is the entrance, and they give
out Welcome Sweets there. The central area with the buildings is the
Main Area, where they have food and drink stalls along with the handmade
sweets corner.
Shirou figures the Main
Area will be crowded, so he guesses that the basic setup is to buy
inside and eat outside. He also reminds you guys not to lose your
tickets and to not make nuisances of yourselves. Then he concludes his
outline. Kenta raises his hand and says okay as he calls Shirou nii-san.
Shirou
finds this kinda embarrassing, so the Evil with him jumps up with their
hand raised too, which the game describes as though they’re being
opposed. Kenta gets surprised and ask if it’s Shirou’s friend. Shirou
explains that they’re his precious precious babies.
Kenta
expresses some confusion about them being important to him despite
being like a kid. Shirou doesn’t pick up on the implications, but the
Evil offers to shake hands with Kenta. Kenta accepts and loosens up a
bit.
Ryouta gets excited about the Welcome
Sweets since you guys are almost at the entrance. Kenta is too, and he
thinks it’ll be sparkly and fluffy. Shirou reminds them about their
tickets, then directs them forward.
Nomad
greets you guys loudly at the entrance, to Kenta and the Evil’s shock.
Nomad then reminds himself that he’s not supposed to do it that way and
starts over more politely. As he’s about to hand over the Welcome Sweets
he ask why those two look like they’re about to cry.
Shirou
apologizes and says they’ve probably had their dreams shattered, and
Ryouta sympathizes with them. You can then either comment on the taste
of world weary bitterness, say they don’t need to go that far, or say
Nomad looks good in his new getup.
Going
with C, Nomad tells you to stop because being nice about it really
bothers him. He’s a detective dammit. But then it’s back to customer
service mode as he gives you all that Welcome Sweets. Shirou asks him to
hold back on the ramen shop owner behavior since it’s crushing the kids
further.
What Nomad gives you looks like a
snowball in a cup and a spoon stuck in it, and Kengo is unimpressed.
Nomad tries to vouch for it based on his experience working in nigh
infinite eateries. Kengo fires back that that’s not something to be
proud of and says that’s why he’s a detective who doesn’t actually do
detective work.
Shirou figures they may as
well eat it since it might melt. Nomad insists it’s not really a
snowball, but he won’t let anyone through if they don’t eat it. The gang
digs in then.
Ryouta describes it as
fluffy ice cream. Kenta’s has a strawberry in the middle and says the
others have other things inside. Shirou compares it to a gelato. Then
you talk to one of the main three about it, going Shirou, Kengo, or
Ryouta. Shirou for the record mentions wanting to join the next
confection making session.
Nomad is happy
about that and says it’s the result of staying up all night for several
days. Kengo suggests he change jobs already if he’s not gonna do
detective stuff. Nomad goes on to say the point of the Welcome Sweets is
to say there’s gonna be a bunch of surprises up ahead.
Kenta
thanks Nomad for the sweet, and while he stammers a little the game
says he’s less on guard towards him since Nomad doesn’t look human.
Nomad then says he’ll guide you guys, but before that goes anywhere
there’s this loud crash.
Nomad goes to
check, and Behemoth is there stuffing his face again with a whole bunch
of the Welcome Sweets. Nomad’s so lost for words that he calls Behemoth
an art piece at first. You and Kengo recognize Behemoth but only as he
was back in the cafeteria the other day. Shirou only sort of twigs that
it’s Behemoth under all the fat.
Ziz walks
over and asks if everyone else came to see the event too. Shirou
explains that they are, and Kengo figures Ziz being here means the big
fatty is Behemoth. It takes a moment for Ziz to see Behemoth, and when
she does she’s only mildly concerned and confirms that’s him.
You
can either be surprised and say he looks different, or say you caught
on. Shirou is surprised to hear about this, and Nomad asks if you guys
know him. You can either say he’s an acquaintance, a friend, or a
stranger. Going with A, Nomad says you know some difficult people, but
admits he fits that description too.
Kenta
comments that Behemoth doesn’t seem to be enjoying himself, which Ryouta
agrees with and wonders about. Ziz doesn’t answer that, but she says
they need to return Behemoth to normal. Shirou asks how given that much
fat, and Ziz he just needs to move like anyone else to burn those
calories.
Ziz asks everyone to step back so
she can help Behemoth get some exercise. Behemoth doesn’t say anything,
but Ziz interprets him to say that he wants you to help too. You ask
about this in surprise.
Ziz says she
doesn’t know either, but that’s what Behemoth is saying. It’d be faster
to have more people help anyways. Ziz also adds that you don’t need to
worry about hurting Behemoth because all that extra flab will protect
him. You do have to worry about yourself though. Kengo thinks this
sounds fun and says he’ll join in.
Nomad
says if it’s exercising then he has the perfect thing. He flips on the
event battle theme with a snap of his fingers, and Ryouta asks about it
in bafflement saying it’s catchy. Gabriel speaks over the loudspeaker,
though I guess it’s a recording. Anyways she calls on everyone present
to join in a dance.
Kengo demands to know
where her voice is coming from. Shirou has to tell him it’s a broadcast,
though he wonders what’s happening too. Nomad switches to his fitness
instructor outfit and starts reciting a script about the event staff
joining the dance. You ask about him changing his speech patterns or
about his smile. He just keeps going, starting the episode battle.
