Year of the Wildest Boar Prologue Part 2

Picking up from before, Gullinbursti lets out a war cry that causes the Dust Slimes to run away, to Agyou’s amazement. Touji guesses he must have been at the border of death tons of times back in his homeworld, then says he moved like a warrior trained through real battles.

But that aside, Touji is more annoyed with the slimes as they keep multiplying no matter how many they catch. He wonders where they’re coming from, and Agyou says there’s no end to things. When you say there aren’t enough people here, Agyou decides to go get Tsathoggua.

Touji tries to stop him long enough to get him to drop the broom since the slimes are so aggressive against it. The slimes chase after Agyou and he doesn’t have any idea why that is. You try to save him and call up your sword, but Temujin shows up to shoot the slimes down with his NP.

When Agyou notices that he’s been saved, Temujin starts talking to him saying he permits him to come closer. He stands there looking dignified, though his eyes hide a rough sharpness. Agyou asks if he saved him. Temujin seems genuinely surprised as he says he was just getting rid of some unsightly misfortune.

Agyou was apparently in the way though so he was telling him to get out of the way of a possible second arrow. You and Touji run up around this point to check on Agyou, and he apologizes. Then he confuses himself trying to say whether Temujin saved him or not.

You either apologize to Temujin, thank him, or say he was butting in. Going with B, he comments on your manners and says you have honest eyes. In any case he introduces himself, mentioning he runs the plains of Xanadu and the world outside of that.

He figures out your name since Agyou said it earlier, then says he likes you and invites you to his ordo/camp. He’s in the middle of saying you should have his babies and be his when he notices something and sees his best friend in you, which seems to be Jahmuka. He says you proudly turned your back on his mercy and was chased away from the plains.

He wonders why you’re there, then says after thinking about it, of course you’d be here. You and Temujin were the only ones from Xanadu to see past the bounds of that world. He says it must be fate and that he’s happy about it.

Touji asks if you know him, but you don’t know what he’s talking about and say to either him or Temujin you’re being mistaken for someone else. Temujin is adamant that you are Jahmuka even if you look different. He says this time you’ll join his ordo, but the other alternative he says is to kill each other again.

Despite what Temujin’s saying, he’s smiling like a kid as he talks to you. Touji and Agyou are baffled by this conversation. Temujin prompts you to choose, and says that either would be a delight to both of you. You either ask if he’s picking a fight, say he’s unreasonable, or try to ask Touji for help.

Going with B, Touji tells you to step back, saying there’s no need to answer him. Gullinbursti says to not butt in, though he admits he hasn’t been there that long to know anyone. He also says he doesn’t think a forceful invitation is a good thing. Gullinbursti makes a comparison to Skirnir, Freyr’s messenger and vassal, in the way that threat was done. He likes things that are direct but he thinks threats are bad.

Touji says it would have been better if you were picking a partner by your own choice, then says he’s not giving his guildmaster to anyone with no sense of time, place, or people, which Agyou agrees with.

Tsathoggua walks over saying he thought it was taking a while, then asks what the fuss is about. He’s finally had enough of honey sweet sake and wants to go back to the safe house. Agyou says he was about to call him, so Tsathoggua notices all the extra people.

Tsathoggua picks up on the dangerous mood and calls it annoying. Touji gives him an offscreen explanation, and after that Tsathoggua notes that while there is a lot of the slimes, he feels some affinity for them. Agyou says it must be his ability to make a mess.

Anyways Touji recaps the slimes’ trash throwing and clean-up obstructing behaviors, then says if they do it outside the shrine it may cause a huge problem. Tsathoggua asks what he means, so Touji says everywhere will be cluttered with trash and cleaning wil be impossible.

Tsathoggua says you could just not clean, and Agyou yells that that’s not an option. He tries to swing the broom at Tsathoggua, who tells him that’s dangerous. Touji elaborates his original point by saying dirty streets could lead to accidents. Maybe something has already happened.

You say you can’t let this be and that you’ll go look for the source, then ask people to help. Temujin objects since you haven’t actually given him an answer yet. The game compares his behavior to a kid having a toy taken away from them.

Touji tells him they don’t have time for his shenanigans and that if he wants to press the issue he should come back tomorrow when you have more time. Or Touji could just fight him instead. Temujin treats Touji like a joke and thinks it wouldn’t be much of a fight. Agyou snaps in frustration saying Temujin could just help you guys instead.

Temujin is surprised that you’d ask him for help. Gullinbursti says they won’t force him to, and that he’s joining in on this. Touji is surprised since he thinks Gullinbursti should go look for his summoner.

Gullinbursti says that you guys tried to help him even though none of you know him, so it’s a matter of Freyr’s honor that he pays you back. Besides that, the search has already gone over most of the nearby area, so going elsewhere might turn something up. He doesn’t know much of this world, so helping you guys could help him. Also he doesn’t like standing around in one place.

Temujin reluctantly and indirectly agrees to help, saying spending time together like back then could be nice. He also interprets this as you trying to come up with a plausible reason for this to happen, saying you’re being too naive.

Tsathoggua says he doesn’t get it but decides he’s gonna go back first since things look like a bother. Agyou grabs him and says he can’t, so he asks why. Agyou says having more people will help, and that maybe Tsathoggua could come through somehow for this incident.

Agyou also offers to buy honey candy from some shop later for Tsatthogua, which is enough to motivate him to throw his help in. He starts by suggesting you look for wherever the slimes are gathering because maybe that’s where the source is. He also walks off in some direction that he’s sure will lead to something.

Agyou says he should get fired up himself too now, then changes into an apron and stuff. You can either say he looks good in then or that he looks cute. He blushes and gets embarrassed if you go with the latter. He then says he usually wears them when he’s cleaning.

He remembered he had them with his stuff when the spring cleaning was finished earlier, so he tried them on. Then he calls to Tsathoggua and tells him not to wander off alone and chases after him. Temujin and Gullinbursti follow after.

After they go, Touji asks if Tsathoggua really knows where the slimes are coming from. Either way he says he’ll stay and check to see if any accidents have happened nearby, so he asks you to find the source. You can either agree, say it’s annoying, or say you want to be with him.

Of course, but thou must go. After you leave, Solomon pops up at the shrine and asks why you didn’t call him for help, crying. He was on tenterhooks just waiting for you to ask him something this year. Solomon complains about being lonely, feeling mentally dull, and drawing a bad fortune. He says he’ll ignore *you* this time, go home and have some oranges at the kotatsu, and not answer any calls. He declares this to be the year he gets more active and that it’ll be too late for you to regret ignoring him. Then he harrumphs away home as the episode ends.
