Flashback!
Look, there's Kirito standing in the fog with his knife. And then there's Mononobe saying something to him. Moving on!
Present, Summoners Safehouse
Shirou: MC says the East and West are fighting again. Specifically they're fighting in Toshima and Bunkyo.
MC: I evacuated to Shinjuku, but I wonder if Claude and Shuichi are okay?
Shirou: Claude, Snow, Shuichi, R-19, Moritaka, and everyone else called to say they are holing up even further underground in Ikebukuro. The other Berserkers are keeping watch over their Portal and scouting around.
Kengo: From what I saw, Ikebukuro's the main battle stage. It might spill over here too one day.
Shirou: Touji called and said the South and East are fighting again too.
Kengo: ...wait, weren't there only supposed to be three sides?
Shirou: The East allied with the Yurakucho Entertainers. Rumors say they have admin privileges.
Kengo: what
Shirou: I don't know, we're still investigating. But if they do have admin privileges, we need to catch up. Right now, all we know is that they're fighting the South. Call if you find anything else out. Around here, Aoyama in Shibuya and Roppongi in Minato are the main battlefields.
MC: Oh no!
Ryouta: Maria and the Missionaries are okay in Asakusa with Hanuman! Say, couldn't they hide in their dungeon too?
Shirou: Claude is rich and used his money to turn the Ikebukuro underground into a shelter. The Missionaries don't have as much money, and...
MC: What's wrong? / They can't because of infighting, huh?
(B) Shirou: Yeah. I didn't want to say it, but...
Shirou: ...the Missionaries have a lot of deserters. Their main forces are the angels who run on a strict hierarchy. Gabriel is still there, but the East have Michael, who is equal or...probably higher than her. Arslan and the Dark Angel leader went to the east, but no one's seen them since. That split the angels in half as to what that meant. Aoyama's just left with Maria, some of their fighters, and a bunch of noncombatants. Some might desert even if they went underground. Plus...
Kengo: Hiding would be pointless even if the enemies don't come, right?
Shirou: ...wow, you're sharp for an idiot when it comes to battling.
Kengo: SHUT UP
Shirou: Anyways, Kengo's right. Guildmaster Maria went to Asakusa to negotiate an alliance.
MC: Wait, she's a guildmaster now?
Shirou: The last guildmaster formally transferred the title. They called us about it, and Maria's talking with the Taoshis guildmaster. And in Roppongi...
MC: Is Touji okay?
Shirou: Yes, Touji and Tadatomo are acting as contacts with the Tycoons. They found a dungeon in Roppongi and are investigating it.
Ryouta: They have one too??
Shirou: Yes. And if possible, they want to turn part of the dungeon into a shelter too. They made the Tokyo Casino, so it should be. Looking into the dungeon is important anyway since we're behind on the information war with the World Representatives.
MC: We have to stop the loops... / We have to end the game... / We're going to have regular school life again...
Flashes of Shino, the Genociders, the Shinjuku teachers
Beep beep!
Kengo: Huh? Moritaka's calling? The Berserkers need reinforcements! See ya guys!
Ryouta: Hanuman called to ask me to go over too! Going to Asakusa, bye!
Shirou: Call us if anything happens!
MC: Take care, guys!
Kengo and Ryouta leave.
Shirou: ...MC, can you stick around some more? The other two will miss out on this, but there's still stuff to talk about. It's about the two memory boxes Shuichi was analyzing. R-19 sent me the stuff they managed to analyze before stopping. Before you ask, they didn't find anything to really clinch things about the game since Mononobe-sensei didn't get involved with much else in the game. That said, we did find something interesting about the one incident in Shinjuku.
MC: What?
Shirou: Remember when you first transferred in way back?
Flashback!
Shirou: Japanese classroom customs!
Mononobe: Okay class, police are closing the school for a few days starting tomorrow.
Students: Yay!
Mononobe: Hold up, there's still going to be homework.
Students: Boo!
Mononobe: Haha, you aren't getting off that easy. By the way, the police found a dismembered body part around here. Doesn't seem to be a student here, but they're investigating. Don't hang out late now!
Present
MC: Hmm...
Shirou: Yeah, that was when I thought the Evil I summoned did it.
Flashback!
Ryouta: Wow, is it an axe murderer or something?
Shirou: (frown)
Ryouta: Class Prez?
Shirou: No...
Ryouta: What?
Shirou: I DIDN'T DO IT
Ryouta: WHAT?
Shirou: Uh, nothing! What were we talking about?
Ryouta: You okay?
Shirou: Y-yeah, sorry I'm fi--
Beep beep!
Ryouta: Is that your phone?
Shirou: !!
Ryouta: Class Prez you're looking even worse now!
Shirou: gottagokthnxbye
Ryouta: Wait, how about lunch toget--oh. I wonder what's wrong with him? Sorry MC, maybe we should eat together anot--oh, you're so nice. Let's run after Class Prez then!
Present
MC: Oh right, that.
Shirou: ...I heard that was how the Ikebukuro thing started for you.
Flashback!
Kirito: Oniwaka gave you punks orders, stop trying to leave.
Guy A: !!
Kirito: How much longer do you think he'll wait for you slow asses to do something?
Guy A: This shit is too real! I quit!
Kirito: Resignations not accepted.
Guy A: Get bent, toadie!
Kirito: Tch. And who the hell are you? You the one who beat our guildies? ...damn, you're a total noob? You luck sucks ass. Whatever, I got shit to do. Let's go, Senpais.
Guy A: ...
Later
Poor Schmuck: NOOOO
Solomon: That way!
Shirou: ...
Evil: You, Master...
Shirou: No I'm not!
Evil: Master, together...
Shirou: I didn't order you to do anything! I'm not responsible!
Evil: MaStEr...
Later
Shirou: They turned up when I tried to run.
Evil: Boop.
Shirou: I didn't want to add to the chaos but these guys cut off a guy's arm! I ran back to the dorm and hoped turning the app off made it all go away
Outside
Ryouta: Everything turned back, right? Class Prez turning the app off didn't affect the murder victim, so does that mean he's not involved?
Present
MC: Yeah, you weren't involved...wait, then who was...?
Shirou: ...I checked, but the case went cold. The perp was never found, but then the victim disappeared too. All they figured out was that the remains belonged to a native. Students called it all the Japanese Jack the Ripper case...also, Mononobe-sensei is involved with it.
MC: What?
Shirou: Sorry to pry, but I checked the memory boxes and related memories were in them. He hid things from the other teachers and talked with the police higher ups to keep the case from happening elsewhere.
Flashback!
Mononobe: The police are investigating. Don't stay out late or go to the dorm manager's office!
Present
Shirou: He was only supposed to watch you, and aside from this incident he never did anything beyond doing his job as a teacher.
MC: ...
Shirou: The case turned up one suspect, but the case suddenly stopped after Mononobe stepped in. Mononobe then met with the suspect: Kirito Tachihara.
MC: who / HIM
Flashback!
Kengo: MC, why are you here!?
Oniwaka: Who? Kirito, who is that? You were supposed to tell me these things!
Kirito: Dunno.
Oniwaka: You're fired, you useless dick!
Kirito: ...
Present
Shirou: Kirito was one of the Genociders, and according to Arc he went to other guilds on Harlot's orders. And then he suddenly turned on them at the last minute and had some girl stab Arc, then disappeared. Our analysis never got far enough to find out what he talked with Mononobe about. The info might be in the last box, and if it is, we're stuck.
MC: Do you know where that meeting happened?
Shirou: Kirito and Mononobe met in Chiyoda Yurakucho. We don't know anything else.
MC: Yurakucho again...does Arc know all this?
Shirou: Yes, we promised to share any info we find out regarding the Genociders as part of the alliance. Arc said they'll go look for Kirito and said they'll call if they find anything.
MC: But Mononobe covering up a crime? That sucks for the victim...
Shirou: ...I wasn't sure whether to tell you this, but it turns out the case did get a name for the victim. I pulled strings to look at the files, and the data matched one student. It seems impossible but... it was you.
MC: WHAT
Shirou: ...we still don't know anything, but--huh?
Bigfoot: ...hello Summoners guildmaster.
Shirou: When and how did you get here!?
MC: The app didn't alert us!
Bigfoot: Me, Bigfoot. Me, untraceable. Also, me have admin privilege, app stealth mode. Me, servant of Yurakucho guildmaster. Come to see you, MC.
MC: WHAT
End of Episode
Love how the game glosses over the girl killing Arc because Arc and company, killed her mom. No one seems to want to address that along with Shino's death. Like the 3 big guilds are objectively worse but you think would be a source of tension between Arc and the MC.
