Things pick up from last time with one of the ciramantep growling and thrashing around as Maria holds it down with her thorns, asking it to calm down. You talk about how you guys managed to subdue the mobs who are tougher than they look, but Wen Kamui can tell what's going on from wherever he is and says things aren't over yet. Two more ciramantep go berserk, and Maria wonders if they were waiting for a chance when she notices. Zabaniya tells her that those mobs were just watching in fear earlier, and it seems like they suddenly went crazy.
Kimun Kamui asks what is going on as he tries talk to the mobs,
referring to the ciramantep as his compatriots and underlings. He also
attempts to get them back under control and says the madness to attack
people reminds him of something. Yet more mobs go berserk, which you
point out and say there's now too many of them. Things aren't looking
pretty at this rate.
Narration describes how the ciramantep look like they're suffering as the frenzy takes hold, but Aizen appears and starts yelling about a purge. In one instant, Aizen blasts all of the mobs away. He rants about how acting selfishly is forbidden when it comes to group work, especially if it impacts others around you. He swears to purge such disorders of public decency, even if he's not at Roppongi Academy. You either ask Aizen if he's with Roppongi, recognize him as one of the Tycoons, or be surprised that he's dressed up as a scout.
Aizen harrumphs at you before turning to Maria and picking up the Transient that fainted and is leaning against her. He asks if she's alright, and Maria thanks him for helping. Aizen waves it off as he says that he won't need it as a Missionaries member out purging disturbances to the public order.
More mobs growl, and Kimun points out that more and more of them are going berserk, which he compares to them being awakened into being someone else. He starts to give up on the idea of saving them as he gets his own weapon ready, but you step in to say you'll take care of it if this isn't their normal state, swearing to let no one else suffer. Kimun tries to order you to stand back since things are dangerous and is about to say something about the energy the mobs are giving off, but Aizen is surprised as he notices something and points it out.
You do the invocation spiel to activate your NP, cutting down whatever it is affecting the ciramanteps' minds. When the mobs come too, they don't remember what it was they were doing as they ask what happened. Kimun is surprised, then asks if they have no memories of what they were doing. The mobs say yes before becoming horrified at the idea they may have caused people problems. One begs to be told it isn't true, and they all start regretting and getting frightened of what they did. Maria and the others are surprised by this, but still gently talk to them.
Maria tells the mobs that they didn't really do anything bad, they just surprised people is all. Zabaniya tells them that they haven't hurt anyone, which he can guarantee. Aizen stays quiet. One ciramantep is relieved to hear that as it mentions thinking they turned into wen kamui, and another apologizes for surprising people. The noise quickly settles down as the mobs go around apologizing to everyone.
Maria says she can hear people laughing, so it looks like things can keep going on as usual. Aizen thinks the mobs may have gotten off too lightly and tries to be polite about saying so, so Maria says everyone makes mistakes and that forgiveness is what the Missionaries are all about. Aizen doesn't say anything at first before responding that he'll look into the love that they talk about as an exchange student. Kimun apologizes for what his underlings did and thanks the Missionaries and you. You can either talk to Maria and be glad you guys kept things in check, talk to Zabaniya and note that he's in his usual clothes, or thank Aizen for helping.
In A, Maria agrees but says you can never be too careful since there's so many people here. Still, she thanks you for being around to help. In B, Zabaniya says Arslan told him to be ready to move immediately in case anything happened. He thanks you for helping and hopes that you'll enjoy the event. In C, Aizen denies coming to help you as correcting disorder is his duty. He then gets pissy as he tells you to not talk to him so overly chummy, even though you guys will be together as much as he hates it.
In any case, Kimun thanks you again for breaking the frenzy affecting the ciramantep, though he doesn't know how you did it. He admits with some shame that he couldn't do anything to stop its spread, and he asks you to help any other mob going crazy if you happen to see that. Also, if the mobs try to repay the favor somehow he asks you to accept whatever blessings they give you. It's the laws of nature after all. You say you understand and agree to help, and Kimun says he'll be relying on you as he calls you a beloved child of man.
Time skips a moment as Kimun talks about going back to his job as one of the scout instructors. Maria speaks to him saying she wants to consult him on something. Kimun is confused but agrees, then tells you two to head back to the main gathering area until they get back. You say okay, wonder if Shirou and Moritaka are worrying, or wonder why Kimun said 'you two.' Aizen sorts through some emotions and seems briefly sad before landing on grumpiness and bugging you to stop standing there and to turn back.
You go blank on Aizen for a moment before asking him what he'll do before something dawns on you. Aizen confirms it as he calls you an annoying, insolent, and disorderly love singularity. He's particularly offended that you're making him say it out loud and spits a few times. But anyways he tells you he overheard you talking about your team number earlier, then pulls out his own paper with the number to show you he's on the same team.
So as much as he hates it, Aizen tells you he's one of your team
members. He also tells you that he's currently a member of the
Missionaries, then prompts you to move your dumb feet already. It takes
you a moment to process this, and then you can choose to react with
either surprise, casual indifference, or excitement. B and C have Aizen
react with shock before flipping back to anger. A has Aizen stalk off
first while you follow behind and express your own shock.
At some point you realize something, wonder what that explosion you heard earlier was all about, and ask if one of the ciramantep did it. Ikutoshi turns up and sighs over whatever it was Kagutsuchi did and how he can't stand to look at him. He shrugs off his concerns as he decides to go meet up with Shuten and the others and focus on his own training. He notices you mid-sentence and runs off before you get a good look at him, and you either briefly recognized him or didn't see him long enough for that.
Scene shifts over to Maria and Kimun as Kimun asks what it is Maria wanted to talk to him about. She tells him that a problem has come up with the other teams, namely that one person has been left over from the team assignments. Kimun sympathizes but says nothing can be done about being left out since mortals create endless conflicts. He agrees to take the straggler and asks where they are. Maria thanks him and brings the person over.
After a moment Maria turns up with Kagutsuchi, who apologizes for the issue and asks what it is he can do to make up for it. Kagutsuchi is being a bundle of nerves and shaking, so Kimun smiles kindly at him and gently pats him on the head. Kagutsuchi flinches, and Kimun notes that his clothes are worn out. Kagutsuchi is surprised by this, and Kimun assures him that he can relax since he can give him whatever it is he needs. He calls himself a servant of heaven and tells Kagutsuchi to follow him. Kagutsuchi responds and agrees.
Time skips a bit to the point where Kimun and Kagutsuchi return to the team area. Aizen notes that he's back before noticing Kagutsuchi and asking about him. Kimun explains that he's been added to the team and hopes you guys will get along with him despite his young age. Aizen looks at Kagutsuchi before bringing up that the teams are supposed to be four people and a guide, then suggests that bending the rules might lead to disorderliness. Kagutsuchi reacts with shame. You either try to get Aizen to lighten up, say you don't mind, or welcome Kagutsuchi wholeheartedly.
Kagutsuchi brightens up while Aizen scoffs and says he didn't say he wasn't going to accept Kagutsuchi into the team. Unlike you he wants the principles of the thing explained before accepting people willy nilly. He then closes his eyes as he turns his back on you without another word. Shirou comments that Aizen looks a bit different now and wonders if it has to do with him being part of the Missionaries. You say he might have changed, say he seems the same as ever, or say you feel like he's being even more pissy towards you.
Anyways Kagutsuchi introduces himself to you all, saying he'll do his best despite his inexperience and asking for your guys' guidance and encouragement. Shirou greets him back, and you can either greet Kagutsuchi like this is a first meeting and suggest you guys have fun, or greet him and say it's been a while. A and B has Kagutsuchi thank you as he struggles to remember your name for a sec. C has him say he's happy to be with you.
In any case Kimun says it's time for roll call and starts off with Aizen and Kagutsuchi. Both respond back, so Kimun moves onto Moritaka, Shirou, and the Evils (which he reads off as Evil Motoori). Everyone responds back, and Kimun notes that since the Evils are registered as Shirou's dependents they won't count towards the party headcount. Kimun then calls your name, and you respond with either here or hurrah.
Kimun reintroduces himself again for good measure and says he'll be taking care of you guys for the next three days. He talks about how there can be many problems when it comes to camping, like environments you're not used to, tools you aren't used to, or communicating with people you don't know. But here at the camp you guys will study up on things, and Kimun assures you all will pick up something irreplaceable for doing this.
Kimun says it's time for the team to depart, and that the team's first goal will be the first checkpoint, which is where the first campground is. Everyone acknowledges this with a loud call back as they all start walking the mountain path, and your voices ring across the mountains. Elsewhere, Wen Kamui wonders how things will play out before cackling to himself as the episode ends.
Thank you for the summary! It's useful to us overseas players!
