Ryouta points out that he sees Maria and Chouji, then observes that there's a lot of people around who aren't in scout outfits too. Shirou says he's heard a lot of people from the public have signed up, so he figures it's difficult to supply scout clothes for all of them. You either comment that you're glad you guys made it to the opening ceremony or say you were surprised that you guys got chased by a bear and were wondering how things would turn out.
In BC, Shirou has an extra line asking you not to talk about that part
much since people might misunderstand. But anyways Ryouta notices Kimun
Kamui is gone and asks where he went. Arslan wraps up his speech by
saying he has high expectations for everyone joining in for their growth
after everyone plays hard and studies hard. Then he declares the event
has officially started, adding one last note that he likes curry and
that there's going to be some sort of surprise at some point before
signing off with a ciao.
Ryouta laughs at Arslan's remark before noting it looks like everyone
will be busy, so there might not be time to talk to anyone. Shirou talks
about how it's always tough on the organizers for things, and that
things won't be a success if everyone else won't work with them. And
speaking of busy people, Shirou points out that someone else is stepping
up on stage.
Maria thanks everyone for coming and introduces herself. She starts
explaining during that during registration, everyone has been assigned a
team number. A bunch of trees in the area also have team numbers posted
on them, and everyone is to go to their assigned parties. Each team is
supposed to be a group of four, and each team will be working with the
instructors for the next three days. With the explanation given, Maria
then asks everyone to split into their teams.
Ryouta evidently wasn't listening too closely as he asks if teams are
going to be groups of four. You and Shirou are already confirmed to be
on the same team, and Ryouta hopes he and Chouji will join you guys to
make what he thinks will be the perfect team. Shirou says Chouji won't
count since he'll be one of the guides, in which case someone else ought
to be joining you guys. But however it turns out, he suggests you guys
should head over to the team meeting place since you shouldn't keep
others waiting. You agree that a first impression is important and that
being late would be embarrassing, so you say it's time to go. Ryouta
gets excited and hopes it's someone you guys already know.
Some time later Ryouta bemoans the luck of it all, and the Evils
sympathize with him. As it turns out, while you and Shirou are on the
same team Ryouta is not. You try to get Ryouta to calm down or wonder
how this turned out like this since you all registered at the same time.
Shirou figures these things just happen because of the number of people
here and how they got divided. And looking back on things, there wasn't
any guarantee you guys would be on the same team anyways. Then the
camera pans out as Ryouta loudly voices his disappointment.
Somewhere else, Wen Kamui is annoyed by all the noise and fun everyone is having and comments on his class making him ache. He scoffs at the ideas the jamboree hopes to promote, meaning effort, independence, growth, and cooperation, saying the whole thing annoys him. He was woken up by accident, but he still wonders what stupid crap that guy got him into. Oh well, he might as well follow his instincts and act according to his class. And look there's some convenient pawns around, he says as he starts cackling.
Back to more immediate concerns, Ryouta is leaning into a tree and
crying his eyes out in disappointment, prompting Kimun to ask what is
going on when he walks by. Shirou moves to explain, which gets
offscreened to jump to the point where Kimun laughs and shrugs it off,
saying camp stuff is a chance to make new friends too. Ryouta turns to
look at him and ask about this, and Kimun explains that sometimes to
survive in the wild you need to cooperate with people you don't know.
Ryouta starts perking up at this and gets excited at the idea of making
new friends. You are either glad Ryouta's cheered up, say he changes
gears way too quickly, or comment on how restless he is the way he acts.
Moritaka starts walking in your direction, and you only pick up that somebody is coming and wonder if it's Ryouta's teammate. Ryouta jumps up to introduce himself and ask for the person's name before he realizes in surprise that he's talking to Moritaka. Moritaka starts asking if this is the scout camp thing Ryouta had invited him to earlier, and Ryouta is surprised he came without knowing that. Shirou asks why Moritaka is here at all since he said no earlier because of training plans. Moritaka says he's not sure himself.
You ask Moritaka about what he means, so he looks hesitant as he thinks it over one more time before he explains. It turns out that a Certain Someone forced heavily recommended that he join the event. He wasn't given a proper explanation for anything though, and he was signed up and changed into the scout outfit by this someone. Their accomplice also disappeared somewhere, and now he's at a loss. Shirou sums up that that's how Moritaka got here and agrees that would be confusing.
Moritaka declares that he can't stay and relax and has to go back to his training. You try to calm him down and point out he's not acting like himself. Moritaka asks what you're thinking, and Kimun comments on there being another lost person being around. He looks up Moritaka's name on file, then suggests that it'd be a good idea for him to participate and promises he won't do anything bad to him. Moritaka insists he doesn't have time for it and apologizes before saying it's none of Kimun's business.
Narration notes that Moritaka is taking a tone he usually doesn't have, clearly a mix of anger and irritation. Kimun talks to himself about having seen this from above in mortals. He talks about how impatience takes away people's ability to make calm decisions, and those lost to it have their fates lost in the snow. Moritaka goes quiet, and Kimun suggests that before looking for things you can't see, you should look at the things you can see. He then prompts Moritaka to tell him what he sees around him.
Moritaka looks around and notices you, Shirou, and Ryouta looking at him in concern. He starts regretting how his behavior and immaturity is bothering you all, talking about how he hasn't changed from the time he was with his family and Yoshiro, then sighing and slumping his shoulders. Kimun asks if Moritaka has figured anything out, and Moritaka answers that while he may feel lost inside it's still no excuse to hurt his friends. He thanks Kimun for his advice.
Kimun says it's his duty to bless the children of mortals and that giving guidance is his duty as a scout instructor. Moritaka turns back to face you guys again, and narration notes that there's a strong, gentle light in his eyes now. He apologizes to you guys about losing sight of himself, then asks to join you guys in the event despite having said no the first time around. You agree or comment that he looks nice in the scout outfit.
In C, Moritaka repeats that he was put into it by someone else, but he feels surprisingly happy to hear that he looks good in it. He then compliments you in your outfit and says he feels embarrassed standing next to you like this. But in any case Ryouta cheers that the jamboree will be a lot more fun with Moritaka around. Moritaka thanks him, and Ryouta asks about his team number. Moritaka checks, and it turns out that he's on the same team as you and Shirou.
Time skips a bit to Ryouta dramatically sobbing against the tree again, and Chouji walks by this time to ask why he's doing that. He's also surprised to see Moritaka there and asks for an explanation. You give one that the game skips over, and Chouji understands and comments that Ryouta has points that'll drop him if struck. He then tries to get Ryouta to cheer up by saying that they're on the same team. Ryouta looks up at this, and Shirou asks if Chouji is in charge of the team Ryouta is on. Chouji confirms it and says coincidences like this are fine.
Ryouta is initially happy to hear about this until he gets mildly alarmed when Chouji grabs his arm in an iron grip without breaking his smile. Chouji talks about having resigned himself before to the fact that Ryouta would lay waste to all the ingredients they had. Ryouta gets freaked out a little by the look in Chouji's eyes, and Chouji says them being on the same team must be some kind of fate. Now's the perfect time to teach him about proper proportions. Ryouta flaps his mouth wordlessly, and you either ask Chouji to take it easy on Ryouta, shrug it off, or wish Ryouta good luck.
In any case, Chouji says it's time for them to go and will see you guys again at the checkpoints. Ryouta seems lost for words but eventually says he'll do his best. Moritaka wishes him luck as he leaves. Shirou tries to look on the bright side as he says scout camp is the place to learn independence and grow so uh, maybe it's a good opportunity.
Suddenly, an explosion happens somewhere, which Shirou notices alongside a scream. He also says it happened nearby. Kimun is the first to react and move, and you call after him and say you'll go with him. Time skips to the point where you find a berserk ciramantep, and you point out that they're acting strangely. The App pops open to say that a battle is commencing and starts creating a battle area. You either question that an app battle is starting, realize something about the mountain, or ask if the mountain hasn't been turned into an overworld shift.
Maria comes in and confirms that the mountains are a part of the original land in Tokyo. As such, an App Battle will start up here. Zabaniya appears and says that a lot of Transients are in one area, and he mentions that Arslan has predicted that sudden trouble might start up. You call out both of their names are start to say something about the ciramantep, but Zabaniya tells you to save it for later and focus on handling the battle first. He makes his move to calm things down before unease starts to spread among the participants. Kimun tries to talk to the ciramantep and notes it's like they're turning into wen kamui, then tries to deny the possibility as the episode battle starts.
