Onsen Jamboree Prologue Part 3

Touji picks up by thanking Chouji for making lunch. Chouji is pleased that Touji liked his food and laughs, and Kengo asks Chouji to make that one thing he mangles the name of next time. Chouji still manages to understand that Kengo was getting at gibier cuisine, or wild game cuisine. Kengo confirms that he was getting at that and says he's been interested in trying it. Chouji does have an interest in trying to make it, but there is the issue of having ingredients to work with. One of the guides at the jamboree is supposed to be good at hunting, so he'll ask then. Kengo manages to immediately mangle the word again as he expresses excitement at that, baffling Shirou and Touji into asking if he's doing this on purpose.
Anyways, Ryouta asks if he can pack up the leftovers. Touji sighs at him and suggests he think of his health a bit more. Ryouta admits he does intend to eat more later but starts to explain himself. Chouji stops him before he gets very far since he knows Ryouta intends on giving it all to Moritaka. You then comment that you don't see him here and haven't talked to him lately. You also wonder if something is up with him.
Ryouta agrees that Moritaka seems down lately and is worried about him. Touji is quiet but totally knows something, and at this point Moritaka comes back to the classroom. You take notice of this and wonder if he's eaten yet. Kengo says the same thing and adds that he'll give him some rice balls. Ryouta decides to ask if Moritaka will go to the scout thing too while they're at it. Chouji asks him to wait long enough to give him some clear broth soup to give to Moritaka too.
The Evils chitter, so Ryouta decides to take them along to cheer up Moritaka. Chouji, Ryouta, and the Evils walk over to Moritaka and crowd around him, and he starts eating the rice balls quickly. You're glad he seems to be okay but wonder if it's fine for him to be eating so fast.
Touji still stays quiet, and Shirou suggests you guys help clean up or classes will start while that's getting done. He also says it's time for the Evils to leave until school lets out again, at which point he'll bring them out again. Kengo notices Touji being quiet and still at this point, then tries to prompt him to hurry up before Mononobe comes back to say something. Touji cuts across partway through to say he has something he wants to tell you guys. You turn to him or nod.
Time skips a little into the conversation as Shirou and Kengo are surprised to hear that Moritaka seems lost. Touji says he can tell through the times they sparred. The sparring is a regular thing, and Touji mentions that Moritaka has lost his edge. Put another way, he's lost focus and his swordsmanship has lost its energy. Mental issues will be made apparent through his abilities, and Touji asks if Kengo knows what he's talking about. Kengo says he does and comments that Moritaka is in a rut. Shirou asks him to explain it better instead of being vague about sensing things.
You either ask Kengo to explain or say you get it somehow. Kengo says it's not a big mystery and that it deals with a part of the body everyone has as he apparently pats his chest. Shirou needs a moment to figure out he means the heart, and Kengo talks about how fists can contain whatever is going on in the heart. Touji says it's happening through Moritaka's sword, and he believes Moritaka is worrying about how he is. He tells you that Moritaka has been reckless during practice, which suggests he hasn't figured out his issue. It's gotten to the point that the trusting and good-natured Moritaka has repeatedly turned down Ryouta's invites to hang out.

Kengo talks about how everyone has doubts about the path they take. Shirou thinks on the idea of doubts, and Touji says he's had times like that too. Being on the opposite side of that is also hard since it's difficult to figure out what to do for someone having that problem.

Time skips to a bit later as Ryouta says Moritaka ended up saying no to going to the scout thing. He then changes the subject to be surprised at how many guys in the group are going to do training and junk. Kengo is weirded out by him changing tacks so quickly and complains about him and Touji being treated differently. Ryouta agrees with that and says Moritaka hasn't spoken to you guys in a while. Shirou says the event can't compel him to join and that everyone has their way of spending time off. You either shrug and say it happens, tell Ryouta to drop it, or suggest inviting Moritaka next time around.
Ryouta decides that the guild should plan something fun to do. He specifies that it should be something everyone can enjoy, not just Moritaka. Touji sounds like he's giving in but he agrees to join nonetheless. Kengo's amused at Ryouta being dramatic and tells him to come up with something good. Chouji is around and thinks about cooking food for whatever event that is if you guys do it, then wishes Ryouta luck in thinking it up. Ryouta then panics at all the pressure and responsibility on him now.
Anyways Chouji says that for now, you, Shirou, Ryouta, and the Evils have signed up for the scout event. Shirou agrees and hopes it'll go well. Kengo tells you guys to have fun and to move your asses when you get there. Ryouta nods and is looking forward to getting some sun and having some curry rice. You say you're looking forward to the weekend when the Jamboree starts, and the Evils seem to agree.
Scene shifts over to where Moritaka is as he practices his sword swinging. After a bit he stops as he thinks to himself and wonders what is wrong with his swordplay. He can't swing it as well as he used to, then eventually pays attention to a poster that the wind happens to blow into his face. It's the same as the one Ryouta had shown to him offscreen back at lunch.
Moritaka reads off the tagline on the poster, which talks about reexamining yourself in the refreshing hills and dale. The phrase brings to his mind the time in his childhood when he ran around in the mountains with his dog Yoshiro. Shino and Tadatomo pop up, and Moritaka asks who's there, though neither respond.

Scene shifts again to focus on Kagutsuchi at the dojo he trains at. He's in the middle of practicing when he stops to say that he can't keep focused. He worries about how worthless he feels compared to the other students, and he thinks about how they've learned the moves of the master which are as quick as the wind. He sighs about his lack of self control and inexperience which gets compared to a fire being fanned by the wind. He decides he needs to take another look at himself as he pulls out a poster for the scout event too.
That night, Shirou is standing around quietly in his room which causes the Evils to worry about him. Shirou apologizes for making them concerned before telling them good night. He talks to himself about his own worries about his current path, and how everyone has that sort of worry. He wonders if you've had that come up for you too.

Scene then shifts over to Daikanyama where Arslan asks how the list of scout event participants is going before laughing at how many people have signed up. Maria nods and says it should be a big event this time too, and that Kimun Kamui is doing his best as a guide. Arslan comments on recognizing a lot of names on the list and points out that you guys at Shinjuku are there. Zabaniya then walks up and says it's almost time.

Maria asks for whoever it is to come in. The other person talks about their thanks and their agreement to partaking in the school student exchange program between their school and Daikanyama. It's also some sort of trial experiment with limited knowledge of an exchange of members between the big three guilds. Arslan says he was surprised when he first heard of it all, but with the person in question being someone who preaches about love, it's a once in a lifetime choice. Maria welcomes them to the Missionaries, and the episode ends with revealing this exchange student to be Aizen.
