Onsen Jamboree Episode 4 Part 2

We pick back up with Moritaka yelling as he makes a stab at spearfishing up in the mountains, which isn't going too well considering he loses his footing and faceplants into the water not long after we start. The river then carries him down until he gets caught by some rocks. You either ask if he's okay, comment that the fish ran away, or compare him to nagashi-soumen.

Kimun Kamui takes a stern tone with Moritaka, telling him he'll never get any fish with that kind of posture. Moritaka gets back up as he swears to catch something this time with this harpoon that's been borrowed. It takes him a few moments before he thinks to question why he's doing this and asks Kimun about the training he was talking about. Kimun is surprised as he says Moritaka is underestimating nature, and he talks up wild fish as being the perfect choice in training him up.

Moritaka says he may has a point but he prefers to train with the sword rather than the spear. He also mentions having thought Kimun was going to spar with him or something as he points out that sword Kimun is carrying around. Kimun tells him that unfortunately, his sword which he also refers to as a manslayer sword isn't used that way. You ask him about this as you stare at it or keep quiet.

Kimun insists that Moritaka get back to fishing and catch something if he has time to talk back. Moritaka flinches as he says this forcefulness that prevents him from saying anything back reminds him of someone. He turns back to the river as he gets ready to spear something, then makes a stab at it. He fails again.

Arslan walks up soon after laughing and commenting that Moritaka is working hard. He also notes that he doesn't seem to be doing well to have not gotten anything in a spot that has tons of fish. Kimun notes his presence and agrees with him, and Arslan says he can tell just by the way Moritaka is standing that he has something on his mind. You either call to Arslan, ask about Maria not being with him, or ask about Zabaniya.

In A, Arslan says it's time for the chief executive of the event to show up and that he's glad you're all enjoying nature. In B, Arslan tells you Maria is with Shirou having some coffee and playing with the Evils. In C, Arslan says that Zabaniya is with Kagutsuchi and being awkward with some Evils swarming around him.

In any case you get around to asking what Arslan is up to, so he says he's going around seeing what everyone else is doing. It'd be tough to leave all the 'work' to Aizen, and also he has something to ask Kimun for. He turns to Kimun and asks if he can get them some fish for tonight's dinner, and by some he means for a whole lot of people. Kimun says he conveniently came at a time when Moritaka is spearfishing so he can do it, but Moritaka protests on the grounds that he still hasn't caught anything yet. You agree with the point and ask how many is even needed.

Arslan says that the mountain managers have given you guys some amount of fish, but he feels that still won't be enough. Moritaka tries talking his way out of this since he's worried his mistakes will cost someone else their dinner, so you offer to help Moritaka with fishing. Moritaka is touched and ashamed by the offer as he apologizes for looking lame, then swears to complete the task.

Kimun approves of Moritaka's determination and decides to give one demonstration on how to fish. He walks out to the middle of the stream, then tells you guys to watch closely as he calls what he'll be doing as some secret bear fishing technique. He proceeds to swing his arms into the river and grab fish with his bare hands and flings them out, where Arslan catches them all in a basket without blinking an eye. Arslan then compliments Kimun on how well he's doing.

Kimun thanks Arslan and says this is just one of his camping techniques. Moritaka comments on how wild Kimun was while also wise, which reminds him of someone. Kimun then asks you two what you thought of his technique. You either note how serious he looked, observe how skilled his movements were, or gasp and say you're crushing on him. C gets an extra line where Kimun mentions feeling a little shy with how hard you're staring at him and really feeling like wanting to give you things.

But anyways, Kimun warns Moritaka that his bloodthirst is scaring the fish away. What he needs now isn't strength, but piety or devotion. Moritaka asks him about this, so Kimun talks about how they have to eat other living things to live, a fact of life whether in Tokyo or in Kamuy Kotan. Other things have died so that you may live, and it's thanks to them that you can live further on. That means you should carry gratitude in your heart, not bloodlust. This is another of Kamuy Kotan's beliefs, one that Kimun thinks is a good one. You either turn to Moritaka and say you guys should get to it or nod silently at him.

Moritaka answers back affirmatively, then heads to the middle of the river as he takes up a different stance calmly. You notice that he's taking up a swordplay stance, and Moritaka thinks to himself about keeping calm and collected. He then makes a sudden strike, and narration takes a moment to describe how the sparkling water reflects his expression before Moritaka pulls up the harpoon to show he caught a fish. You compliment Moritaka for doing well and/or say you won't fall behind him.

Time moves ahead a little, and while Moritaka is looking like he's having fun and occasionally being serious, someone else around is looking darker. Arslan notices that Kimun doesn't look happy and asks why he's looking at you guys that way. Kimun talks about the cycle of eating others and being eaten in turn, and how he thought it was fine if that cycle went on forever when he was in his home world. But when he came to Tokyo where growing is allowed, he realized he had another desire. That would be his wish to guide the children of mortals to a place different from where their past was. It's not enough to feed someone; he wants his way of life kept alive too.

Arslan says he understands and is the same. He's gone through many worlds and seen beyond his home world of Garothman, and he's come to the same idea. He talks about how being in his homeworld/a narrow world and chasing after the best thing possible in front of him means that some things get missed. When he thinks about those who were sacrificed to build up the System, he feels like guiding people to a new unseen future. Kimun thanks him for saying so, but midsentence Wen Kamui starts taking over. Arslan doesn't immediately notice, and you either try calling to Kimun or realize what's going on.

Wen starts laughing about what Kimun was saying, declaring he is him and vice versa and that is all they can be. You are shocked that Wen has shown up and tell Moritaka to be careful. Wen declares it's time to hunt down growth and tells Moritaka to be cut by his manslayer sword. Moritaka starts to say something about crossing swords with him, and Wen mixes things up by activating his NP before he actually has a piece of Moritaka to create a copy with.

Shadow Moritaka manifests and starts talking about how strength is what all warriors desire, wanting nothing more than a keen sword with which to cut down one's enemies. Narration describes how Wen cut off a bit of Moritaka's clothes to create the copy, who then challenges Moritaka to a duel. Moritaka accepts and says he'll display his growth by defeating his past self. When he moves to grab his sword, he's shocked to find it replaced with a party cracker. The one who has his sword watches from the shadows.

Shadow Moritaka takes offense at Moritaka pulling a toy on him. Moritaka tries to calm it down and asks it to wait, but Shadow Moritaka moves to attack, so you throw him a weapon even if it isn't his sword. Moritaka initially tries to protest that he doesn't have any experience with spear fighting before deciding to roll with it, and he faces off against his Shadow as the episode battle begins.
