Chapter 13 Episode 12: Transformation 3 (Abridged)

Yasuyori: Wait, that Wakan Tanka?
Tanetomo: Yes, that Wakan Tanka. He's one of the World Representatives and is the one making the strange rain fall. Reports say he looks totally blank about it. He was enrolled in Yoyogi, yes?
Yasuyori: W-well, yes but...
Tanetomo: Will you tell me what you know about him again?
Yasuyori: O-kay! So Wakan Tanka is captain of Yoyogi's football team. He loves everyone, and everyone loves him. He's the kind of person people tend to rely upon, like merciful rain from the heavens in terms of oddly specific comparisons.
Yasuyori: ...are we really talking about the same Wakan Tanka?
Tanetomo: Unfortunately yes.
Yasuyori: T-then...what happened to him? Why would he attack with this rain!?
Tanetomo: I want to know too...about what happened with him and the World Representatives. Also...he might not see this rain as an attack. I don't know what's happening at all!

Warmongers base
Yoritomo: (stares)
This is Yoritomo, World Representative of Wa no Kuni. He's a battlefied strategy genius.

Yoritomo (talking to himself for some reason): I may speak like I know everything, but I'm sure my soldiers would be surprised to hear me say I understand nothing about my brother despite acting like I know everything.
Yoritomo had a brother who didn't understand politics and got really attached to him. This brother adored him more than anyone, yet he was more threatening than any rival. Every time Yoritomo tried to have him offed, he lived through it and smiled the same as ever. He never understood whatever it was he saw him in.
Yoritomo: Not understanding what is happening is the most fearsome thing of all...
Yoritomo has been staring towards the south this whole time, towards Tokyo Bay. Towards the Rainbow Bridge...

Somewhere
Shirou: You're really saying this isn't an Invaders attack?
Isaac: Yep. Also call me Isaac.
Kengo: But you said you're the Invaders guildmaster, you little brat!
Kengo tries to grab Isaac but passes through him.

Kengo: WAIT WHAT
Isaac: Haha, careful now. We're at the bottom of Tokyo Bay, the deepest part of the data sea. You might get carried away by an information stream to who knows where.
Shirou: What?
Isaac: This is the depository of memories, deeper than even the Tokyo Dungeons. Old conventional wisdom says in the end, all civilization gets washed out to the bottom of the sea. Oh hey look, more people are falling in.
It's Alice and Jamabavan!

Isaac: So many people...the operation must be going smoothly. More people will be coming in contact here at this rate. Once that reaches 50% of Tokyo's population, we'll be going to the next phase.
Kengo: what
Shirou: Yeah I'm curious about that too, but Isaac? What you said earlier about this being the deepest part of the information ocean...
Isaac: Ooh, you're sharp! If you met Fuxi, he'd probably say everyone believes the truth is in the depths, so that's where the most valuable truth is. This is the physically deepest database in Tokyo, and your consciousnesses are connected to the deep sea cable network in Tokyo Rainbow Bridge.
Shirou: !!
Kengo: Whatever. Take us back! Everyone else is fighting up there!
Isaac: Oh, if you're worried about reuniting with everyone, there's no need to go back.
Kengo: what
Isaac: This side will be the main stage soon enough, and they'll all be here.

Warmongers base for more inexplicable Yoritomo monologuing
Yoritomo: We must grapple with the fact that we never knew how to end the endless game. It couldn't end because it was set up so no one could gain a political majority. Now the Invaders are planning to overthrow everything. They are doing it all in reverse, so if we do not understand, they'll keep at it until we do understand like it or not.
Flooded City that'd Totally be a Persona otherworld

Shirou: Isaac. Tell me what the Invaders' real intentions are among their actions.
Kengo: Why ask that NOW? We gotta get back to MC and--
Isaac: ...mercy. Well, that's Wakan Tanka's motive for the rain at least.
Shirou: (stares)
Isaac: Ever think ignorance is bliss? But then sometimes the world gives you the short end of the stick and says you have to take the L so the world advances. The World Representatives know how much it sucks that someone somewhere has to get shafted for the world, so that's why we're pulling a revolution. Lots won't understand right now, but this is the only way to save everyone who's alive.
Warmongers base because what is this pacing
Yoritomo: Finally the Invaders have set up their premise. They've worn down Wakan Tanka and Tangaroa's personalities and brought in Isaac's cutting edge science.
What if Yoritomo's guessing is right...?

Yoritomo: It's true this plan COULD politically save everyone in Tokyo, but the method is a tragedy. It could expose the dark side of all history. (stares at the south)

Later
Claude: Summoners, Wisemen! Report!
R-19: Video call on. High energy collision in Southern Tokyo detected.
Aoyama
Maria: Look!
Roppongi

Licht: Exception occurence!
Shinagawa Rainbow Bridge
The power clash of Wakan Tanka and Tangaroa are bringing up what lies beneath Tokyo Bay up and causing even more rain!

Babe Bunyan: (frowns)

Later
Flooded City

Turing: Rain falls from the heavens and flows to the earth and sea, just like light. If Tokyo has been flooded by time over and over, the truth in the deepest part of this sea should rain down. It's conceptually deeper than Akihabara's deep web and physically deeper than the pillars of light. Which is why that one genius thought all the valuable information came down here. On another note, there's a myth about sunken civilizations among the other worlds. They call it Atlantis, or Lemuria, or Mu. So maybe the memories of Tokyo's past is also in that Oceanic Realm.
Ryouta: GIANT WAVES!
MC: The water's rising! / Oh no! / (grab Ryouta's hand)

Flooded Shinagawa
Ryouta: ...wait what? Where are we?
MC: OH NO WE'RE DROWNI--oh wait, no we're not. Huh?
Turing: We're in the memories of Tokyo past that's dredged up because those two World Representatives clashed. Here you can see the deepest truth you've never seen before.
MC: what
Turing: You've been told tons of times about your past selves, but have you ever wondered if they're really you? Have you ever wondered which of them was really you? Or maybe none of them are. What makes you different from anyone else? Okay, time to head out! I'll guide you guys to Isaac! Careful, your greatest enemy may be down here.
Ominous silhouette!
