Things pick up after the underground match as Polaris Mask laughs and apologizes for getting caught up in the moment as he talks to you in some messy room that seems to be used as a waiting room. Barrel comments that Polaris Mask is as vulgar as the rumors say he is, and he expresses surprise that a real pro wrestler would actually attack him. Polaris Mask says of course he would since it's rarely often he gets a chance to go sparring with a pro hero. Going full force on him was his way of showing his respect. Barrel then says he'd never thought the martial arts he was drilled in by his demon of an instructor would come in handy like this and thanks his police training.
Mokdai asks Akashi if he's okay, and Akashi is trying to catch his breath as he says he thought he was going to die out there. He also comments that it's way different from student pro wrestlers. You apologetically tell him he did good, say it looked like he was having fun when he was watching, or say you feel like you might become Polaris Mask's fan. B has Akashi say even he enjoys watching a wrestling match from outside the ring, and Polaris Mask says that he's a pro in the entertainment field. He can't be going around boring the audience now. In C, Akashi is shocked by that statement while Polaris Mask is flattered. He offers to give you an autograph and a hug later.
Anyways, Huckle says this is the first time he's seen him work live, but he agrees that Polaris Mask is an amazing man in more than one sense of the word. You ask Huckle about having not met Polaris Mask before since you figured he was well known in the business. Huckle explains that it's because they don't often deal business with Polaris Mask's agency Galaxy Athletes. And since Polaris Mask's day job is pro wrestling, the odds of them meeting went even further down. Akashi is surprised by this as he notes that Ryekie has the body for it, and Huckle concedes that he has the skills and build for it at least. Mokdai points out though that pro wrestling still has a story written up for it and runs like a show with lines and atmosphere, so Ryekie wouldn't really do well with that. You nod and go 'oh right' at that point being brought up.
Akashi is taken aback and asks what you guys are talking about. Polaris Mask turns his attention to Narihito and says it's been a while since he seen him. Last time it was when he was performing on Titan or so he remembers. Narihito says that's true and wishes he could do a proper interview of him sometime since he doesn't stick in one place for long. Polaris Mask tells him if he has any complaints about that then he'll need to say it to all the strong people in the galaxy who don't gather in one place (I think?). He just wants to go around battling people, and you ask more into this.
Gomeisa says that Polaris Mask loves battling strong people, so he's always wandering around outer space and doesn't come back to Earth much. Whenever he does though, he always has such fun stories to tell him. Akashi is amazed that there are heroes who are so into battling, but Mokdai says Polaris Mask is probably the only one to make their life revolve around it.
Polaris Mask takes note of Gomeisa at this point and says it's been a while since he saw him, and Gomeisa greets him, saying he didn't know he was back and that he's happy to see him again. Polaris Mask says he only came back yesterday and missed his chance to go see Procy at the store. And now that he thinks about it, it's unusual for the sheltered boy Gomeisa to show his face around like this, and he asks if it's okay for him to leave the store since he was planning on visiting today.
Gomeisa answers that the bar is closed for now and starts getting visibly depressed again. Polaris Mask is taken aback by this, and it also occurs to him to ask why he's with a policeman now. Barrel explains that stuff has happened, so they came to ask him something. He asks him to listen to what's been happening, which Polaris Mask agrees to.
After an offscreened explanation, Polaris Mask is up to date about Procy having disappeared somewhere. He is noted to have shifted gears completely from his earlier mood to a serious expression, and he rubs his chin as he thinks. He says that when he saw him earlier, it didn't seem like there was anything off about Procy. Barrel takes this as confirmation that he was the one who was with Procy earlier by Kirsch's store, and he asks him for more details about what they talked about. He presses him for any details like where he went, anything that was on his mind, anything at all really. Polaris Mask folds his arms as he thinks back, and the party waits on him on baited breath.
Eventually Polaris Mask tells you he doesn't remember, prompting Akashi to fall over in a face fault. When he gets back up he complains about him doing a dramatic silence. Polaris Mask insists that he did remember before, but when he started up the fight it all flew out of his head, he says looking flippantly indifferent. You are dismayed by this, ask if he can remember anything even recently about it, or plead that you were counting on him.
Polaris Mask says that he's been hit in the head a fair amount of times which has knocked out some of his memories, so trying to dig them back up after a fight is hard, man. Narihito says that's a pretty common occurrence where hand to hand fighters who lose consciousness during a match tend to lose some of their memories. Barrel says he can understand that a bit, as sometimes after he shoots things up he doesn't actually remember what happened during that time. Narihito points out that this is kind of problematic for a police officer.
Gomeisa pleads for Polaris Mask to remember anything he can since that's all you guys have to work with. Polaris Mask feels like it's a long shot, but he says he can't turn him down since the bar has helped him a lot in the past. He asks for a bit of time, and he mentions that he's sure Procy mentioned going somewhere. Polaris Mask cogitates deeply, and Mokdai comments that he's surprisingly sincere. When he's in the ring he seems like a huge weirdo to him though. Huckle says that if Polaris Mask weren't, he wouldn't have been allowed to go run around and be a hero. Not without someone to rein him in at least. That his agency feels they can trust him should be proof that he can act with discretion.
The mobs say they don't care if Polaris Mask is the strongest pro wrestler in the galaxy and deride his fame as not being enough for him to mouth off to them. The room starts buzzing with people that are also apparently there murmuring to each other. Mob A starts talking about how Polaris Mask is always in and out of the place and asks how strong he really is. Mob B shrugs as he says anyone can be strong in babby's first show with rules in place, so he doesn't give a crap. This strikes a nerve with Polaris Mask.
Polaris Mask tells them that they're insulting everyone in the pro wrestling scene, and he taunts them back about being tiny fishes who think they'll stand at the top of the world only by fighting in the underground arena. The mobs answer that someone who comes here knows what the rules are, and if you want to make someone follow them you have to beat people into it. Polaris Mask calls them sissies too weak to enforce that, which pisses them off as randos boo them for having taken that epic burn.
Akashi is alarmed at how threatening the place is getting while Gomeisa is getting scared. Narihito says it's already too late to stop it from coming to blows, and the mobs transform and challenge Polaris Mask on his own turf as they demand he transform too. You react in shock that they transformed and ask if they're heroes, or villains rather. Huckle says he's never heard of an agency that allows its people to transform to fight the fights they pick, so Mokdai asks if that means they're part of an unrecognized organization, which would mean they're villains.
Polaris Mask is surprised at this turn of events. He says he's not interested in fighting outside of the ring, but things are different if he's up against villains. He declares that he'll pound the rules into their skulls before they cause trouble for the world. Barrel steps up and says he'll help, saying it's cowardly to be hugely outnumbered and that his pride in his job takes issue with their manner of speaking to him earlier. He can't let them get away with that. Barrel is surprised by this, and Barrel tells him his name. Once he's got that, Polaris Mask suggests an impromptu tag match. Huckle says it's still 2 against a lot more, and that the opposition won't be sticking with rules on top of that. Akashi grits his teeth at things coming to this, and he signals to you. You get ready and ask if he is too.
Mokdai says he's got the camera set up for a hero vs villain live battle format, but he's not sure there's going to be much of an audience tuning in for this. Huckle says it's better than not having it up at all, and he orders you to help support here. Narihito starts cowering at this development while Gomeisa gets upset at a fight happening as the episode battle begins. More happens after that.
After the battle, the story picks up with the villains who attacked you
getting blown back into the wall and passing out. Polaris Mask expresses
disgust for how weak they were despite how much they talked themselves
up, saying the truly strong remember their manners towards their
opponents. Picking a fight regardless of circumstances and disrespecting
your opponent marks you as an idiot, not as someone strong. Polaris
Mask then calls himself dumb for having thought there would be people
with stronger wills here.
Other randos in the area start taking offense at this, and Narihito gets alarmed some more about things getting worse, saying it's already a lit powder keg in there. Polaris Mask is undaunted as he asks if they're all going to try jumping him at once, glaring at them all. If they are he's totally up for stomping all their asses. Akashi however tries in vain to talk him out of this, but the villains think it's a great idea as they plan to crush him and Barrel while they're at it. Surprisingly they don't even bother to transform as they start approaching.
Barrel is taken aback by how many rando mobs are closing in and quickly dodges one of their attacks. Akashi gets attacked too to his protests that fighting isn't his specialty. Things break down into a full on brawl instead of a hero battle, and you yell that this is terrible and that it needs to stop. Huckle asks Mokdai to help him get things back under control, who agrees to do so and tells you to stay with Gomeisa since it's dangerous. The big old sprawling violence upsets Gomeisa and causes him to flashback to a certain memory. In said flashback, Procy is cussing out some criminals, telling them all to come at him as he protects Gomeisa. Gomeisa also says that said criminals were going to sell Gomeisa off.
Back to the present, Gomeisa is mumbling something about Procy and saying no, and you try to talk to him and ask what's wrong. Gomeisa yells out that fighting is wrong, unleashing a burst of jade green energy and causing you to react in surprise. Akashi asks what the light is and says the strength is leaving his body, and Polaris Mask turns to Gomeisa as he seems to recognize the light. All aggression drains out of the room, and the mayhem that had been happening comes to a stop.
One of the rando mobs asks what they were so mad about earlier since they don't remember anymore. Another one says they don't remember why the blood rushed to their head, and they apologize to Polaris Mask. Polaris Mask also awkwardly apologizes for saying too much himself. Attention starts turning towards Gomeisa, and Akashi asks what's happening with everyone dropping the fight. Barrel points his attention to Gomeisa, who is mumbling about how nothing comes from fighting and asking why people would persist in it. Tears fall down his face, and his breathing becomes ragged. You call out to him and try to get him to calm down, pointing out that the fight is over.
Gomeisa listens to you as he says it's good the fighting stopped, and then he collapses. Polaris Mask jumps in to catch him, and the thugs watch and leave the room. Polaris Mask apologizes to Gomeisa, saying it was his fault for taunting the thugs and brushing his cheeks. You then speak up to ask what happened, so Huckle tells you Gomeisa did it. He describes it as his ability at first before thinking natural trait would be more fitting. He'll tell you more details later after Gomeisa is taken somewhere where he can rest safely. Polaris Mask says there's an infirmary in the arena he can take him too. There's probably no doctor or nurse there, but you can still use the bed at least. Polaris Mask then asks for someone to help him carry the giant so he won't be awkwardly balanced, so Mokdai volunteers to carry him from behind. Barrel spares a thought of concern for Gomeisa before he follows along.
Time skips to the point you all reach the infirmary and picks up with you asking about Gomeisa's ability to heal the mind and body. Huckle answers that that's actually what was happening with that green light earlier. At the moment the party is gathered around the bed Gomeisa is sleeping in, and Huckle is explaining as he said he would before. So normally, Gomeisa's race lives on a planet where thick shrubs and giant trees grow, and they live with them and offer their faith to the plants. They worship something they call the Mother Tree, which is what evolved and developed their bodies' partial plant nature. Their ability to use photosynthesis grants them incredible regenerative power and force of life not seen much in other animals. They also possess a fragrance that can affect mental processes, and these abilities were originally meant for their own bodies.
Narihito adds that at some point, these abilities advanced to the point that they could affect other beings. They could heal someone by holding their hand up to them, and they could pacify an area filled with aggression as you've seen earlier. Huckle is surprised that Narihito knows about this, but Narihito says he only read or heard about it. He's never seen it in action before, and it was surprising when he did. Barrel says he did pick up on a scent when that light hit, which he describes as a calming sort of scent.
Huckle explains that the light is a byproduct of releasing that scent, which he says can also be phrased as the release of stored solar energy. The power of healing and the release of the calming scent is unleashed through expending said stored energy, and Huckle supposes that based on the burst from before, Gomeisa used up almost all of his energy. Akashi then brings up that the first day he transformed, Gomeisa was shining when he was healing him too. You comment that Gomeisa's ability is mysterious, or that it could be used for evil. A has Mokdai agree and be the one to bring up that criminals could use it in some way if you don't.
Narihito also notes that Gomeisa's ability is prone to being abused, but
he corrects himself to say that it already is. He's someone with the
ability to convert sunlight into a power that heals other people and can
boost or take away their will to fight. They can't be left alone, and
Narihito implies that something happened to Gomeisa's people a century
ago. He turns towards Huckle and says he doesn't understand why Gomeisa
is on Earth of all places. Earth had nothing to do with the interstellar
war that had happened back then.
Huckle says nothing as he looks over at Gomeisa, who is breathing softly and sleeping like a tuckered out child. He eventually says it's something that you guys don't need to know about, but whatever had happened must have been a cruel tale. To Gomeisa though, it's what was normal for him. Procy came across this and intervened, and now Gomeisa is here on Earth. You ask Huckle about this 'normal' bit and have a guess as to what that means.
At this point, Polaris Mask loudly shouts about remembering what Procy was talking to him about, shocking Mokdai from the suddenness of it and breaking the tension in the room. Mokdai says he was thinking about how quiet Polaris Mask was being, then asks if he was remembering about Procy. Polaris Mask answers that he did, even if it's only a little bit. He also says he feels partly responsible for pushing Gomeisa into using his ability, so trying to remember is the least he could do to make up for it. Barrel asks if Procy was worrying about something or other, but Polaris Mask says what he remembers is where Procy said he'd be going. You ask him for further details.
Polaris Mask says Procy is going to a membership-based massage parlor that specializes in adjusting heroes in the Sengen district since he had an appointment there. Huckle comments that Sengen is a place that Procy wouldn't normally go to, so none of you thought about it. You ask what Sengen is like, so Akashi tells you that Sengen is the name of a business district in the north side of Orient City. It's filled with high class establishments that would be out of your price range, so you could also call it the playground of the rich and fabulous. Mokdai says there are strange shops there too, like a massage parlor tailored for heroes. He wonders what adjusting is supposed to be.
Polaris Mask says he doesn't know that either. He has a referral ticket for the place, but he's never actually been there. He has heard that there's a clear difference in how you handle your Parallel Weapons before and after you receive treatment from there, but they do charge like crazy though. You say the place sounds suspicious and wonder if it's dangerous. Huckle agrees it does sound suspicious as hell, but it must have some effect if Procy with all his penny pinching would go there. He has some idea as to what the price might be, but he discards the idea saying he's never heard of an ability used that way.
Barrel asks if Polaris Mask has that referral ticket on him so you guys can go visit the shop and ask about Procy. Polaris Mask says he put it in his bag, which is now in his locker, so he tells you guys to wait while he goes to get it. Barrel says that settles your next course of action, but he asks what you guys will do about Gomeisa. Huckle volunteers to stay with him and plans to take him home when he wakes up. If you guys need to transform for any reason, you should be able to handle it.
Narihito asks to be excused to go work on something else, which would be to research something about Gomeisa. He promises to let you guys know if he finds anything relevant about Procy. Barrel acknowledges this and thanks him for his help. Mokdai says everyone's plans have been decided upon, so he suggests leaving once Polaris Mask gets back. Akashi checks the time and notes it's almost night, and he comments that you guys really will be going to the city of night soon. The episode ends with Gomeisa mumbling for Procy.
I bet the guy that trained Barrel will be a playable in the future.
