The Afterschool Brave and Fantastic Party Prologue

Narration begins by describing how there's someone saying they want to go somewhere, somewhere far away from this cramped world. They want to go the a new world, a place that will make their heart pound in fear and excitement. They want to go see a new version of themselves after preparing new clothes and things. They want to travel across a new world...such is the desire of an unknown self within you.

Camera then tunes in on a fancy magical castle, describing it as a world away from Tokyo, where the world tree Yggdrasil pierces into the sky and supports the earth. In this world there is Midgard the land of humans, Mulspelheim the land of fire, Nibelheim the land of ice, Alfheim the land of fairies, and Svartalfheim the land of dwarves, among other such places.

Above all of these places, way above the clouds is Asgard, the land above the heavens that supports the castle in the sky Valhalla. The island there has a legend about a bridge that spans the worlds, carrying the belief in the rainbow that connects to infinite areas. And on the other side of that bridge, you can see someone else.

Yuuji reacts with surprise before finding himself within Tokyo after the light fades away, in a place that he should recognize. Narration draws attention to that famous red steel tower in the distance that was built in the last century, and Yuuji wonders aloud in confusion about when he ended up coming back to Tokyo from Midgard as he recognizes Tokyo Tower. He quickly realizes it's not the Tokyo he knows when he notices all the traces of destruction around. Tokyo looks as if time were rewound to just before it was half destroyed.

Yuuji starts remembering his time in Tokyo before he left, then starts unconsciously gripping his phone. He wonders aloud what happened, and if he traveled back in time to a Tokyo in the past. Upon looking around some more, he realizes that a giant tower is behind him. That would be Babel Tower, the solemn tower that pierces the heavens and lords over the city, and Yuuji gets the feeling that he was called over to it.

Just as Yuuji touches the front door, tron lines on it light up. Yuuji reacts with surprise, and it turns out Horus, Surtr, Tezcatlipoca, Balor, Teda, and Koropokkur are fighting it out nearby like a scene from an end of the world story. They're all described as fearless fighters and representatives of a single world and a single legend. They're all also fighting around you as you run into the tower, preventing each other from getting ahead in the chase after you.

Horus starts talking to himself about something that only now occurs to him, an occurrence that bothers him since he's supposed to be an elite of the law. This thing that bothers him is related to the rules that form the basis of the world of Tokyo, and Horus describes it as the reverse side of those rules. Horus wonders whether Michael and Amaterasu have noticed yet or have known already, mentioning that it relates to the System of Tokyo's battles and the prize at the end and calling it a crafty plan.

Horus starts expositing to himself to sort out his thoughts, beginning with the fact that Tokyo is connected to 23 other worlds through the Gates, including his own world of Aaru. He and the other World Representatives were called to Tokyo to battle it out. All of what the World Representatives want is in the trophy, and Horus is in this because he wants to see his uncle again.

Since there's only one trophy though, the World Representatives have to fight for it, and Horus thought it was some sort of sick joke at first. Horus then says that if this was a deliberate feature, then he can see some other sort of motive for it.

Horus talks about how all the prizes are people who classed as Wanderers and meant to be exiled from their worlds for having the power to rend their worlds. Tokyo however is set up so that no one is allowed to share the exact same set of class and power. If one supposes that those that do are fused together, then what does that make you?

As Horus ponders upon that, he starts thinking hard about you, the person whose expressions and mannerisms are exactly the same as his Uncle's despite looking outwardly different. He starts interpreting things to mean that the world that will chase you out is (apparently) Tokyo when he gets cut off from naming said world as he and all other Representatives present start looking up at the sky.

Babel Tower starts releasing a bunch of light motes as if creating a starry sky. Alice appears and bemoans that someone has touched the Taboo. She sighs as she thinks about the person she saw running up the tower. Before long, stars start raining down from above. There are things in this world that must not be disturbed. Should that happen anyway, then the world will be destroyed, as if it were a dream.

Alice sighs that this is the end for everyone, and that everything will be reset again. Yuuji cries out that the stars are falling upon the city "again." Horus cries out for his Uncle as destruction rains down and runs into the tower. Yuuji pales as he touches the tower again, and more lights start ascending, and soon after his consciousness is drawn in.

You and Yuuji react to what's happening and ask who the other is, and your voices and wills combine. Both your bodies turn into light and overlap as someone fated to be banished from Tokyo. The next thing you know, you fall out of the air and fall to the ground ass first, and after yelling reacting to the pain you ask what's going on.

As you look around, you are surprised when you see a mirror nearby and realize you are in some other guy's body. You move as if you are the actual owner of the body and not as if you were remoting in from elsewhere, and you are not a prisoner of that body. Despite any differences between Yuuji's body and yours, you move as though it was always yours. It's a weird feeling being so perfectly synched up.

Anyways you realize a bunch of knights are around staring at you, then you noticed that you're surrounded by a lot of people. They look like a bunch of knights and nobles from some Middle Age period piece...or a fantasy setting. You try to ask where you are, figure you should probably stand up already, then notice you have some sword in your hand that feels familiar.

The sword emits light, and everyone watching looks on in astonishment. The knights part to the side as a king walks up, asking in disbelief if you having that sword means you're the hero of legend. You either react by asking if this is another world and cheering, asking if you were summoned to defeat the overlord, or compare your situation to being transported into an RPG.

The king admits that there are legends there in Midgard that when an overlord appears, so will a hero that can drive the darkness away. He finds your presence here to be strange though since as far as he knows, there's no overlord running around. You react with surprise at this.

The camera tunes in at Castle Valinor where Orgus hears news of the hero's appearance and reacts with outrage. He believes you're some sort of imposter and swears to pull the skin off you and find out the truth. Over in the port town of Herbalgri(?), Sol is surprised that the Church would order him to go attend to the newly arrived hero, but he makes his way as quickly as possible. Somewhere else, Horus beats up some Anubis looking guy. Then in Yggdrasia the World Tree City, Bacchus is confused as to where he is and what he's doing there when his head starts splitting. Then things end as the title card pops up, titling this the Prologue.
