We pick up from before, with the party hurrying to a dry riverbed near a bridge. Hanuman, Kijimuna, and Licht are jumping into the water with a shout, and you either comment that they look like they're having fun, be amazed Hanuman did a triple flip, or be surprised Licht is joining them. Ryouta is aghast that things have already started as he apologizes for keeping Shirou waiting. Shirou welcomes you all back, then asks what you thought of the site you went to visit. Agyou tells him it was both super pretty and super cold. Kengo points out that Shirou is being thoughtful in having brought lunch over. Moritaka has so many questions for Shirou, but he figures he should start by asking why he's in a swimsuit. Shirou answers that it was the request of the investor of this sudden event, and that they've been waiting for you for a while. You wonder about that until you have an idea given that Licht is around.
Hakumen loudly calls for you, and Ryouta is surprised by her being here and comments that it's been a while since he saw her. Hakumen then starts making a show about how sad she is that she's been so busy she wasn't able to see you until now. Since the festival ends tonight she figures this is the only time she can find to spend together with you. She then prompts you to sit next to her and says she'll have something special set up tonight for everyone. She'll be doing a barbecue while in her swimsuit, which she promises will be a feast, so she invites everyone to have as much as they like.
Kengo, Agyou, Hanuman, and Kijimuna get excited over a watermelon, and Kengo says that after getting some meat he's gonna jump in the river. Hanuman agrees with him, and Kijimuna laughs about how much fun he is having. Agyou is up first in the apparent watermelon smashing game, but Hanuman tells him he missed when he tried to go for it. Xolotl wishes everyone luck and says he's not good with swimming. He's still traumatized by that one time in his homeworld he tried to run away by turning into an axolotl and was chased into a rough river.
Moritaka is also playing the watermelon game, and he ends up actually getting it. Kijimuna and Xolotl are impressed as they compliment him, and Moritaka is embarrassed by the praise. Tvastar is measuring the water temp and quality, and once he approves of them he says they can test Tezcatlipoca's body for when it's in the water. Tezcatlipoca gets really into transforming or quick changing into his new swimsuit. Li Chou announces that he's here too and ready for anything, and he switches into a wet suit or something...despite the fact that he promptly gets embarrassed upon doing so.
Mononobe talks to Furufumi and comments how it's unusual for him to come along to a place like this. Furufumi says he thinks it's weird too, but he thinks that maybe he doesn't hate this much noise and activity that much. Mononobe then laughs and leaves it at that. Cait Sith is around somewhere off to the side not saying anything, and you happen upon him and say he ought to eat something. Solomon pops up to agree. He's not sure what's meant by high class food, but he says the fish and meat is delicious. Cait Sith turns to look and greet you guys, and he says he's glad to hear that. Solomon makes the observation that Cait Sith seems down, so he asks if he's worried about the magic show. Cait Sith starts moaning in response, and you try to get him to calm down a bit.
Cait Sith whines some more, then says he doesn't know. He has no idea what to do, but he doesn't want to run away from doing the show. He still doesn't have any ideas on how to do it though, and he can't see how he can make it a success. Solomon expresses concern for him, and Tvastar is apparently watching in silence. Hakumen notices as well, figuring that Cait Sith is still worrying about things and sighing that you're not paying attention to her. She still likes this cold treatment though. Tvastar starts talking about how Cait Sith is worried, so he can't leave him alone. He starts considering helping out before tonight's events, and he talks to Vritra about needing to be energetic and enthusiastic for some mod work.
Cait Sith has gone quiet again, and Solomon says he's come back with a drink, which he gives to Cait Sith and asks him to drink. Cait Sith thanks him, and you ask if he's calmed down and/or if something happened. Solomon says you'll both listen to him, and Cait Sith is touched by the concern and decides he'll talk to you guys then. He takes a drink first, then starts talking about his backstory. He begins by talking about Grimalkin, the previous king of cats who can use great magic and reigns over the kingdom. Normally cats are whimsical and unfettered, but Grimalkin was amazing in that he was able to control that and create a nation. Cait Sith is unable to use magic like he can, and he feels it's impossible to lead the people like Grimalkin can. So on the day he was to succeed the throne, he ran away.
Solomon doesn't say anything, and Cait Sith explains that he learned magic tricks in place of actual magic when he came to Tokyo. It's still not actual magic, and he says he can't be like Grimalkin. Cait Sith admits to being scared of the magic show tonight, scared of having everyone's eyes on him, and says he's not confident he can make it a success. You say his name or quietly watch him.
Ryouta walks by at this point having been looking for you all, and Cait Sith asks if he needs him for something. Ryouta talks about tonight's show, and since Cait Sith seems worried about it he decides to offer to help brainstorm. Cait Sith thanks him for the offer but says he's still not that skilled with his tricks, but Ryouta denies that. He asks Cait Sith if he remembers how everyone was smiling when they first saw his performance. Thanks to that, Ryouta's gotten interested in magic tricks too, and he asks Cait Sith to let him help.
Cait Sith is surprised into silence, and Ryouta insists it'll all work out if everyone works together. Cait Sith starts to argue that a large scale illusion needs a stage set up for it, and even with a lot of help it might not work. Ryouta argues it'd be fine anyways. If you don't know what will happen, then maybe it'll End With a Good Result. He's still not sure what he can do, but he offers to think of something together with him and you. You agree with Ryouta and suggest thinking it out together.
Cait Sith quietly looks at his hands before balling them up. Tezcatlipoca is watching as he flashes back to think on what Balor had said about mixing things with alcohol and how you'd have to be insane to drive a car drunk with half the wheels missing. He then talks to himself about how mixing things can be dangerous and about not knowing how things will end up. He also talks about how some people see that as a good thing while others see it as bad, like reflections of a mirror. He then calls to you and says it's time for the end of the clamoring festival where fairies gather.
Time skips to later in the day as the sun starts to set, and fireworks announcing the last day of the festival are fired off. Daikoku is around talking to the police mobs, thanking them for being here and saying the future of the city will be bright if they are here. The mobs thank him while Hougen stands in silence. Daikoku says that the festival will be at capacity soon, and he orders the mobs to act as traffic control as planned. He asks them to act as security until the festival ends, and if anyone suspicious turns up, they should arrest them posthaste. The mobs acknowledge this.
Some time later, two people pull out of the crowds to have a conversation, specifically Daikoku and Tezcatlipoca. Tezcatlipoca thanks Daikoku for lending personnel for security, saying they can observe and keep in check all the other guilds thanks to them. He also says that the overworld shift in the area is progressing smoothly, and the place is already changing with the world of fairies. With that, Tezcatlipoca says his preparations for the big show on the last day is done.
Daikoku says that's great and decides he can leave things to the younger people so he can head back behind the scenes. Tezcatlipoca is a little disappointed by this and invites him to join him in making some noise. Daikoku says he's currently acting as a fixer in the shadows who doesn't show up in the public eye. His job is to handle human resources, sending in people to where they need to be. He also mentions seeing someone around who he'd prefer not to run into. The most he'll be doing after this is running a stall from the back. Tezcatlipoca says that's a shame.
Daikoku agrees that this is a sad parting, so he decides to give some advice to one of his loyal customers. He starts talking about how Tezcatlipoca picked this place that imitates the fairy world of the eternally young Tir na Nog to complete his hidden motives. He also says Tezcatlipoca pushed for this location as a sponsor for the festival, which he guesses is due to Balor taking part in things in some way. Daikoku then says that his current cooperator the creator of Deva Loka has bad affinity with that. Tezcatlipoca says Balor had already told him that it's dangerous with how unclear how things will turn out, and he asks if Daikoku thinks he would avoid that upon being told so.
Daikoku says he was just setting up what he was actually going to say, which he's getting to now. So as Tezcatlipoca knows, there is a world that exists on the Reverse Side of Deva Loka. That is the world of Shangri-La. If it intervenes with this festival, Daikoku believes that it will be unrelated to the unpredictable result that Tezcatlipoca is hoping for. Daikoku says he can say so because he Knows Well what would happen if they met and mixed together. It's not what Tezcatlipoca wants, which is why he's telling him.
Some time later after Tezcatlipoca leaves, Daikoku stands around for a bit before addressing someone in the darkness. He knows they were listening, and he asks if the people from the south faction will sit quietly this time. Sanat Kumara and Temujin reveal themselves but say nothing. Daikoku asks them to stop looking so murderous as he plays up the old man act, and he tells them if they get involved it won't end the danger of things getting mixed. This goes especially for Sanat Kumara. Daikoku says he knows they came all the way to Minato to spy, but he says that the current incident has nothing to do with the conflict between the west and south due to the feelings of certain individuals. When the festival is over, Daikoku says he'll guarantee the others will leave, so he asks the two of them to act like regular festival attendees.
Sanat Kumara and Temujin leave without a word, which Daikoku is glad about as he comments that Tokyo really is a dangerous gunpowder storage. The colors of many worlds mix together until it looks black. That darkness is deep and bottomless, but Daikoku says that's also where his lucky break will be, which he swears on the name of Mahakala.
Scene then shifts over to your end, where Ryouta is talking about the issue of what to do about Cait Sith's magic show. He said he'll make calls if necessary, but he wonders if there's anything here that could be helpful. You think on it as well and ask what Licht thinks. Licht says you guys shouldn't worry too much about it, or else it'll bother Cait Sith more. Ryouta gets a little depressed saying he probably already did that to him. They aren't all going down together, but Cait Sith will likely worry together with you guys.
Licht says if anything happens, the Tycoons will act as his way of thanking you and Ryouta. Licht then suggests that you guys enjoy yourselves first since this is the last day of the festival. Ryouta already said he'd call if he needs him anyways, so why not. Ryouta then realizes that the trip is almost over, and he thanks Licht since he forgot all about that. Licht laughs it off saying it makes him feel a little awkward, and he says he'll be waiting at the main staff area before excusing himself. Ryouta then suggests to you that you guys wander around since you might get an idea that way. He also says Shirou told him there wouldn't be much work today, so you guys can go walk around the festival. You agree to the idea and can hold you hand out to Ryouta. He laughs as he says it's time to start making memories with you.
Some time later Ryouta is looking at all the foods on sale, and he points out takoyaki, hashimaki, hot dog on a stick, cotton candy, taiyaki, and chocolate bananas. He moans to himself that he can't miss out on takoyaki as a festival staple, but he also wants the other foods that are only around during a festival. When he thinks about it being the last day for festival stuff, he starts getting paralyzed trying to decide what to get since he wants them all. You suggest that you eat with him and share stuff so that you guys can get a lot of things. Ryouta gets excited as he says that's a great idea. Before he goes ahead with it, he asks if you're sure and not making yourself do this for his sake. He then thanks you and takes you up on the suggestion and leads the way for his full course menu, starting with the takoyaki.
After getting some stuff, Ryouta talks about how takoyaki is available all the time, but he gets in the mood for some when it's festival time. He blows on a piece to cool it off, then talks about how melt in the mouth it is and how big the octopus is when he eats it. Ryouta then tells you you have seaweed stuck on your teeth, but you point out that he does too. He wonders why that happens every time and laughs. He then comments on having cotton candy a lot when he was younger, but as he got older there was less chances to have any. Ryouta then compares it to a cloud with how fluffy it is and mentions how sad it looks when he tries to treasure it. When you get some on yourself, he starts laughing about how it looks like a beard like Ded's and says you look good with it.
When Ryouta starts thinking of what to get next, you guys walk by Nomad running a yakisoba stall and tries to sell you guys some before he recognizes you two. Ryouta is glad to see him and figured he'd be here working. Nomad takes offense at the suggestion that this is his main job, and you admit you thought it was before it occurs to you to ask about not seeing him yersterday. Nomad says today is some sort of special invite where staff invited everyone who could make festival food. Since you guys don't seem to know, he tells you guys to take a flyer. Ryouta then makes an order for yakisoba with extra meat, so Nomad gets right on that.
More people start flocking to the stall, so Nomad calls for the worker in the back to bring up more ingredients to the front. That turns out to be Heracles, who asks Nomad if he should leave them in a particular place. Nomad confirms as such, then takes a moment to remember Heracles' name and mentions how hard he works. Heracles thanks him for that and says that before coming to Tokyo he was a slave to a queen and she complimented his effort too. Nomad starts sympathizing at the slave bit and says it's harder to think of Heracles as a stranger now. He then asks if what Heracles is wearing is what he wore from that time.
Heracles says it's actually because he was told to come wearing something suited for a festival, though he was planning on wearing a lot more than what he did to festivals at Olympus. Given how little Heracles is already wearing, Nomad is taken aback at the idea of Heracles wearing less and asks if he's poor. He also talks about having to work himself to the bone to pay the rent for his detective agency. Nomad then asks Heracles how he ended up a slave, but he understands if Heracles doesn't want to talk about it. Heracles just describes it as trouble with a high ranker in his world that drove him mad, and to repay the damages he caused in his insanity he was chained up. Nomad says that sounds like himself and that it feels like he really does feel similar to Heracles. He offers to introduce Heracles to some good part time work if he's ever in trouble. Heracles thanks him, then says he should work like a work horse.
Daikoku turns up out of his uniform and compliments the two for their work ethic, still working even as they're talking. He laughs about how his eye for people wasn't wrong to have them hired today. Daikoku then approves of what Heracles is wearing, saying that festivals in his own home world had the dress code pretty open like that. He promises a pay bonus after the shift is over and asks them to keep it up. Nomad is happy to hear about this, and Ryouta suggests going elsewhere to eat the noodles since so many people are around. He mentions knowing a good place that Furufumi told him about earlier in the day.
After you guys move to this other spot, Ryouta finds the flyer that Nomad put in the bag with your yakisoba order. He looks at the thing and reads off an ad about a food fight battle happening only today, which he guesses is a speed eating contest. You express some surprise that an event like this is happening and wonder if it's about eating as much festival as you want, then ask Ryouta if he wants to join in. Ryouta is unsure and says he's not good at these sorts of things since he'd prefer to take his time to savor food that someone cooked. He does have an interest in the event though and considers going to look. You agree that it looks fun and wonder who will join, so Ryouta says you guys should finish the yakisoba before going. He's also surprised that Nomad packed so much meat that the container won't close.
Time passes as you and Ryouta head to the food fight event area, and Ryouta is surprised at how many people are around. Ziz catches sight of you two and calls you over, saying she's with Behemoth today. Behemoth greets you guys and says he;s finally met up with you after all the crowds. You greet him and note his happi and fundoshi, and you can say he looks good in them if you want. If you go with C, Behemoth is happy to hear so and tells you it's custom made so they'll be fine even if he gets fat.
Ryouta asks if Behemoth being here means he's going to join the food fight. Behemoth says he is, and that he's so excited for this that he passed on lunch. Ziz sighs, saying she's worried he'll cause trouble for his partner. You ask what she means, so Ziz explains that the food fight is set up to have the participants in pairs. She was thinking of joining with Behemoth, but Behemoth says he already picked someone else since it'll be hard if he and Ziz don't keep the same pace. Ziz isn't disappointed though since she's happy he made a friend. Ryouta asks who this person is, so Touji shows up and answers that it's him. You either express shock at this or briefly imitate Ziz's speech patterns to comment how surprising this pairing is.
Touji laughs a little and asks if it's that much of a surprise, since even he spends times with his school friends. Eating fast will be necessary for the event, but Touji says he's also heard that carrying the food will be important here too. Behemoth says that Ziz won't fall behind on speed, but he did want to do this with a friend. Ryouta starts thinking on that, and Ziz says she'll join in with Shennong instead.
Ashigara shows up asking if you guys are joining the event, then says he's got it in the bag working with Yasuyori. Yasuyori mentions that Ashigara added his name in without his knowledge, but he figures he may as well try to win now that he's here. The PA system turns on as the announcer asks the participants to gather by the watch tower. Spectators are asked to gather in the surrounding areas, and the announcer says that entrants will be accepted to the last second, before revealing themselves as Cait Sith at the very end.
Behemoth and Touji head over and say they'll be counting on one another. Ryouta is quiet, so you ask if something is wrong and/or if he's feeling jealous. Ryouta asks if you'll let him be selfish for a second. He tells you he wants to join the event, though it isn't about winning or losing the thing. He wants to do so because he wants to make a memory that can only happen here, and he wants to make some with you just like he wants to make some together with everyone. At that point a message comes to you and Ryouta, and the episode part ends with it asking if you guys will join in to help make things exciting.
