Valentine Colosseo Episode 3 Part 2

In Tir na Nog, the world where Fergus lived, there was a certain fairy. Her name is Leanan Sidhe, the fairy who loves poems and the woman who lives within dreams and the creative process. She appears before those who have a dream about becoming something but are unable to realize those dreams. She is said to bestow talent and turn what is vague into something tangible to make dreams come true. But it is also said that those who accept Leanan Sidhe become addicted to their talents and fall to ruin. They depend on her, wallow in her gift, and become unable to do anything without her.

Seth takes over narration, declaring himself the Ruler of Sand and Storms with the strength to take down miscreants far and wide as well as the Governor of Aphrodisiacs. He dreamed of becoming like that, and he tried his best all the time here in Tokyo. However, he's always confronted by what he lacks in order to be that way. He has no talent for being a bad boy and only a vague idea of where he should go. His image of the Hero Seth remains uncertain even as it expanded within his dreams. It was then that Leanan Sidhe girl came up and stared at him as she said "I'll produce the show for you! I'll make your dream self a reality!" And so Seth accepted her offer like a drowning man clutching at straws.

Back to the event at hand, Fergus gets hit with a premonition and declares that he can feel the moment that his nightly dream becomes real is coming closer. The dream he sees every night is of him standing at some spring and accepts someone's love. Seth's sandstorm is still going on by the way, and a shiver runs down Fergus's back. He who holds the class of prophet or prognosticator then senses for the words on what's going to happen. Fergus speaks in confusion as he notes that there's some other uncertain feeling within him but doesn't know why. It's like he's yelling a question about whether he's okay with accepting the way things are, but Bathym interrupts the thought by attacking him and telling him it won't entertain the spectators if he just stands there. Fergus seems impressed though and gears up to fight him.

As the sandstorm blows on, fireworks are set off (underground mind you) and colorful spotlights shine all around. Team Valentines launch their attack like this is a show. Bathym yells out a cheer and asks the newbie what he thinks of his greeting, so Fergus compliments Bathym's kick techniques fitting of a current Ranker and says he's falling in love. Bathym is flattered and says that's the natural thing to do and says he's the demon who's proud of his charm. Fergus thinks this works out and says he'll take on his challenge.

Cait Sith is squaring off against Kyuuma, who has doubts about having a cute kitty being put up against him in a fight. Cait Sith says the audience will be able to tell if they don't try, and he requests that Kyuuma not hold back against him. Kyuuma does his best to get into it and says he'll throw his strongest pitch then. Cait Sith approves and says that makes things worth doing before he pulls one of his magic tricks. This causes Kyuuma's thrown ball to disappear, impressing Kyuuma who in turn then embarrasses Cait Sith with his applause and compliments.

Alp starts off a breakdance routine and is joined by some random mobs as backup dancers. Kengo gets some sand in his mouth from the sandstorm and tries to spit it out, but he's surprised when said said melts in his mouth and recognizes the sweetness of it in disbelief. Seth confirms his suspicions and says all the sand flying around the ring is actually fluffy cocoa powder. Kengo is shocked by this, and you either ask if it's fine to treat it like sand or comment on understanding why you can smell cocoa now.

Snow says that the chocolate powder is a special kind that won't melt from body heat, but it makes some great hot chocolate if you mix it with heated milk. Speaking of which he's made some and hands some out to Team Sideshow, and they all (except for Seth) exclaim about how good it is. Claude says it's something his butler has made and brags that there's no way it wouldn't be good. Bathym asks if Seth is going to have any of Snow's hot cocoa which he vouches for. Seth responds by initially apologizing and saying he got too excited before he backtracks and tries to play the bad boy and say hot cocoa doesn't fit his image. Meanwhile Kyuuma comments that being in this chocolate sandstorm is making him feel funny. Seth then thinks to himself and wonders if this is okay as this is proceeding as Leanan Sidhe has planned. Doing this is supposed to help realize his dream for his ideal Seth, and Leanan just watches quietly.

As the battle show goes on the excitement in the stands grows ever higher, which Alp notices and is amazed by. Cait Sith however suspects something since they seem too into things and makes the comparison to them being drawn in like it's a dream. Alp just shrugs and says it's time for him to make a show with his artifact since that's what their script has planned out. Cait Sith attempts to stop Alp from doing so but fails to do so in time, and you ask what Alp's artifact does, ask what's happening, or yell that dream and reality are switching.

Once everyone gets dropped some distance into the dream side recreation of the arena, Seth starts trying to get Alp to explain what just happened, but he's distracted when he notices his sand is moving on its own. Bathym is surprised and asks what's up, and Cait Sith tells everyone to close their mouths with whatever they can. Kengo is too busy trying to get an explanation for why and gets hit with a blast of cocoa powder for his troubles. Seth's cocoa powder has scattered into finer particles and has diffused by this time. Kengo and Kyuuma are the first to be affected, who mention feeling hot and hold themselves like they're in pain. Others soon follow suit.

Snow is surprised to see the chocolate powder flying around with no input from Seth, and Leanan Sidhe talks about liking people who chase after dreams in a daze as sweet as chocolate. Narration slides in a mention that it's said that certain chocolates cause your brain to release several times the endorphins it would compared to when you kiss someone you love. Pretty much everyone affected by the chocolate here is high now. Leanan talks about how everyone is a slave to their dreams before saying she'll make dreams into something tangible, then she casts her NP. It's described as the power to give form to the shapeless and shape to hazy dreams. Whatever that means, in practice everyone besides you, Seth, and Fergus fall into some sort of trance.

You call out to everyone affected in concern, note that they seem to be acting weird, and ask if Fergus and Seth are okay. Fergus tells you he's fine and that nothing happened to him for whatever reason. He's noted to look nonchalant, like he's ended up forgetting about some dream he enjoyed. He asks why you seem fine too, so you tell him your sword has to put to rend unwanted control, which he finds fascinating. Seth tries to ask what's happening and mentions that he was just following her script when Fergus points out that everyone is acting differently now. Kengo starts to say something, then is joined by a bunch of randos who all scream about wanting to drown in you. Kyuuma and Kengo even start stripping off bits of their already skimpy gladiator gear. You either express bafflement at this, be shocked by this sudden pronouncement, or find the request itself weird.

Fergus is also surprised as he asks why people are taking their clothes off now and asks if this is one of those parties he likes. You either attempt to deny it, say they look like they're in pain, or say you feel like you've been through this somewhere before. Seth is shocked and confused at the proceedings as he asks what's happening. Alp flatly cheers about all the chocolate, and Cait Sith still has his wits about him as he tries to get Alp to disengage his artifact to fix things, except the chocolate windstorm flies in their direction and throws the powder into Alp's mouth. He reacts like he got baked, leading Cait Sith to yell his name dramatically.

Seth denies that he's doing anything with the chocolate since it's not obeying him right now, and at this point the chocolate storm coalesces and forms chocolate dream Seth. Dream Seth laughs and apologizes to Alp, telling him to take a nap for now. Seth tries to ask who his dream doppelganger is, so Dream Seth says he's Seth, the ideal Seth of his dreams. He looks like a tough punk like Seth sees in his dreams, and he declares himself the strongest, coolest punk. Since this is a dream, it's time for his explosive arrival! Hooray!

You are a bit baffled at Dream Seth and say he seems a bit casual or wonder about Seth's idea on what a hooligan is like. A bunch of randos fawn over Dream Seth like groupies, and you are surprised by his popularity before you suspect why that is. Dream Seth confirms that he governs aphrodisiacs, which by extension includes chocolate. He takes command of the chocolate storm and causes it to blow violently, and everyone who breathes it in starts getting charmed by a hot, sweet love for him.

Dream Seth talks pointedly to Seth about how everyone goes crazy over a punk like him and loves him, which is what you'd expect of someone who has dominion over love potions. He brags and tells Seth to watch as he does the things he always wanted to do but couldn't, and he starts walking up close to you with a smirk on his face. You call him a fake and ask what he's up to, so Dream Seth says he the ideal of Seth's dreams who has finally come out of his dreams. He's the type of guy who will take everything he wants without shame and is admired by everyone. What Seth wanted to do but couldn't, Dream Seth will do. What he wants to do is to make you his, and he leans in until he's centimeters away from your lips.

Cait Sith starts yelling for things to stop with a 'we are in public!' scandalized spiel. Fergus talks to Cait Sith and says it's not such a big deal, which surprises him. Bathym asks if people like this sort of thing and says everyone seems into it. Snow talks to Claude and notes that the chocolate powder is starting to affect the audience now. Claude says the chocolate storm must be forming a pseudo Enclosed Area to cause this, and Dream Seth lifts your chin up. He asks if you're feeling hot and says you should have problems moving around soon. He flat out tells you that he's using his magical chocolate power to charm you, and somehow it's only now that you put two and two together as to why people are getting crazy.

Dream Seth says he'll take everything he wants by force and that he'll teach Seth how that works. He covers Seth in chocolate powder and then uses that as a medium to force Seth to move like a puppet, and he talks about overwriting himself over the real Seth. Seth gets forced to walk up to you and is inches away from kissing you against his will when you either call out to him and tell him to stop or watch silently.

Seth uses his full strength to resist against the manipulation, and Dream Seth asks him why he's doing so because that's what his ideal Seth would do. Seth agrees that he does feel his brother would act that way because that's how he himself was. He was stronger and a bigger scoundrel than anyone, and that was the charm he used to attract everyone. Dream Seth attempts to argue that Seth should be going along with him then, but Seth says it's wrong and says Dream Seth is just his ideal image of him. He points out that you haven't been taken in by his charm, so trying to take you forcibly regardless is something that the real Seth would never have done. He'd use the force of his own charms and not resort to aphrodisiacs or the like. His real dream is further away from this point, and the great Seth shines even brighter than this.

Fergus is surprised by Seth's speech while Dream Seth is surprised to be told you haven't been charmed by him when he's the ruler of aphrodisiacs. You cheer on Seth and swing your sword, and Dream Seth is shocked you'd try to attack him in the middle of his love potion sandstorm. You correct him on the point that you're attacking his control over the storm instead and call out your NP. As your sword draws an arc, Fergus yells that he's helping out and attacks Dream Seth. He's surprised to see Fergus unaffected as well and tries to ask why that is.

Fergus says he's taking you back, then tells Seth he has something to say to him. Seth is confused, so Fergus says Seth's speech surprised him. Rather than indulge in a dream given to him, he'd rather go through his doubts and get hurt while making his dream a reality himself. He calls that the youth that he's searching for, and he says that's enough reason to ask to let him help here.

You turn to Seth and hold out your hand and ask him to go together with you. He's briefly surprised by this, but then he looks you in the eyes and nods. Fergus breaks out into a big smile at this, and he offers to lend all his aid to you guys. Seth agrees, and Fergus declares that he's falling in love with Seth to his shock. Meanwhile Dream Seth is in disbelief that he's lost control over the chocolate despite his power over it, and you decide you have something to say to him. He demands to know what it is while Seth is curious, so you tell Dream Seth that he has his bad boy charms, but the real Seth is just as good and that he's the one you're into.

Dream Seth blusters like a classic cornered villain and creates Shadow copies of the friends Seth has recognized the strength of, so like half the cast of Desert Journey. Dream Seth declares that Seth can't win against them and that he can't lose like a weakling like Seth. Seth is shocked that Dream Seth is pulling this card, but you tell Seth that you guys should go fight. He psyches himself up to get ready, reminding himself that you chose him, and he yells aloud in the sandstorm roaring special stage.

Over where Leanan Sidhe is, she sighs that things turned out this way after all but she says it's fine. Disappointed as she is, she still seems happy. This is better than being possessed and killed by her (re: dreams) or becoming addicted to her (re: love), and she describes Seth as someone further away from the river than her. A voice from behind asks Leanan if it's a nice dream she's having and asks about her devoting herself to someone who won't look back at her again. But maybe it's because they won't look back at her that Leanan Sidhe chases after them from the backstage. The episode battle then begins as Leanan turns around and recognizes who's come to talk to her. More happens after.

After the episode battle, things tune in at the point where Seth is deadlocked with the sandstorm. You find an opening to take a swing at Dream Seth, who blusters that he can't possibly lose. Seth doesn't say anything, but you say you still have more where that came from and ask Seth to follow up with you. Seth has something of a brainwave that something will work if he's with you, and he says his current self can do it because the invincible Seth! Seth starts throwing off part of his armor and focuses on his power, and Dream Seth is shocked to see control over the chocolate sand being stolen from under him.

Seth says that Dream Seth called him one and the same with him, so he reasons that means he can control the same things he did. He takes away all the cocoa powder and yells, which causes the effects it had on people to lift as Kengo notes. Kyuuma says his heart was pounding so hard he thought it'd leap out of his chest, and soon all of the cocoa powder falls under Seth's control.

Leanan Sidhe and Christine walk out, and Christine says that people will panic if they wake up at this point. Seth tries to ask who Christine is and is surprised to see Leanan. Leanan tells him that she definitely thought his dream was wonderful, so that's why she wanted to help. But since Seth has moved past it, she'll bring this dream to an end because that's a more elegant way of finishing things. Dream Seth is apprehensive about what she means, and Leanan asks Christine to do her thing. Christine takes a step forward and smiles as she declares the finale. If this is an undesired dream, then she will be the one to draw the curtains on it. She then casts her NP, commanding the dream to fade away like foam. Dream Seth sadly says that the dream is being awoken before he goes. Everyone returns to the underground arena, which takes you a moment to process as you say you hear fireworks going off above the stage. Seth is still slightly out of it, but he laughs and smiles at you.

Some time later, Alp is depressed that he did it again and apologizes to everyone for causing a mess. Claude says that there's nothing to worry about since the audience enjoyed everything. Cait Sith agrees, saying all's well that ends well. Alp cheers up at this and thanks them. You notice that Seth is gone and ask about him, so Kengo tells you he's in the hall and prompts you to go. You thank him and say you'll be going for a bit, and Kengo nods.

Seth is out in said hallway sitting on a sofa and staring at something in his hand. You walk up to him and ask what he's doing, so Seth says he's just thinking. He's quiet for a moment before he tries talking to you, fumbling for words. Once he works up the nerve he bluntly says he'll give you what he has and passes a nicely wrapped box of chocolate to you. You thank him and say you're happy with it. He nods, then says you should get going because you still have more to do. He wishes you good luck, and he tells you he'll be watching from the stands. You nod and say you're going, and as soon as you turn your back, you hear him shyly asking that you guys keep hanging out together. His quiet request soon gets drowned out by the distant cheers of the audience, and so the episode ends.
