Mokdai: Y-you okay?
Ryekie: We're back! It was so hot today that just walking worked up a sweat!
Sui: I'll bring towels.
Akashi: Wow, you're sweating buckets MC. Get some water before you faint.
Ryekie: I got through it by thinking of it as training!
Mokdai: Wow...just getting here from home tires me out. Here you guys go! Mineral barley tea.
Ryekie: Thanks! It's nice and cold!
Sui: I brought the towels and wet them. Here you two go.
MC: Ooh...thanks Sui! / Aren't you hot, Ryekie? / Do we have anything cold to eat, Mokdai?
(A) Sui: Make sure you don't get heatstroke. I'll chill the towel for you if it gets warm.
(B) Ryekie: Yes, but that's why I'm enjoying it! Cold showers on hot days are the greatest! Wanna take one together?
(C) Mokdai: I thought this would happen so I bought tons of ice cream! We got vanilla, chocolate, matcha, and fruit flavors!

Huckle: Hi guys. You're back early.

The three of them came out of a meeting room.
Ryekie: Yep, MC did great! I'm so proud!
Exio: Good to see you're doing well in office work too, MC.
Melide: But don't push yourself too hard in this weather.

Mokdai: Yeah she's busy at her spacecraft workshop. She said before that summer is busy, but she's doing her best to make the schedule fit hero work too.
Akashi: A lot more people traveling and tuning up their spaceships this year, huh?
Sui: Lots of Orient City's residents had to evacuate in recent times too, so now that things have calmed down they want to go have fun somewhere on a trip.
Akashi: Hmm...going to the resort ship again sounds nice.
Mokdai: It's perfect for hot times! I hope they call us again!
Akashi: I wonder how Pubraseer and the others are doing? We can only see them sometimes...
MC: Summer vacation!

Exio: ...well MC seems to like summer retreats, so wouldn't that make them perfect for what we were talking about? (looks at Huckle)
MC: What? / Business trip!
Huckle: Yes, we have a job I want to ask you do too. It's at some planet's lake shore. We were just discussing it. (sips and puts tea down)
Huckle: It's a security task, but they're asking for Operators instead of heroes.
MC: Just Operators? Huh.
Huckle: The planet is near the Earth Sphere Zone, and it's called Samaad or something. They've got a tourist spot lake that has mystery buildings appear out of nowhere one day.

Mokdai: Oh I saw that on the news! They say the building is made with future tech! "What if the Space Buildings on Lake Rubul are related to the legends of Russie the Space Nessie!?" and stuff. I thought Crowne might like it! It sounds like an adventure.
Sui: I get why people would be talking about it, but it sounds kind of sus actually
Huckle: Some people think it's bad that it's being talked about too. There's demands that patrols be done to make the investigation area safe.
Ryekie: So they want people on the scene in case of thieves or Monsters! Shouldn't they be asking for heroes too then!?
Huckle: I've heard they already have enough heroes over there, which is why the client archeological investigator organization is looking for Operators that can go out on a business trip. And fortunately someone recommended us.
Akashi: ...wait, you mean Marfik?
Huckle: Yep. Remember that last survey you and MC went with him on? I personally admire him. His books are what sparked my young adventurous heart. (basks in nostalgia for a second) Whoops. Anyways, I felt we shouldn't waste Marfik's vote of confidence.

Flashback!
Marfik: I HEARD THE NEWS, EVERYONE! ...oh, did I interrupt something?
Researcher A: Well well well, Professor Marfik. We just finished up our meeting and were about to call you.
Marfik: About Samaad's new buildings? I heard they sprang up from the lake bottom! How fascinating! And it's at the lake with the cryptid legend! Are you planning out the trip? I want in!
Researcher A: Haha, you never change. Yes, you're included. But...it's likely there's future space comm jamming at the research site. We put out a request call to local and Earth adjacent hero agencies, but we don't have many Operators able to go into the field.
Marfik: Hmm... unknown tech isn't really my jam as a hero, but there should be plenty of Operators who mainly work remotely.
Researcher A: Yes, it's true people still believe Monsters appear wherever Observers are, so they remote work for that and to avoid actual Monster attacks.
Marfik: Discrimination sucks...
Researcher A: Remote Operators is the usual way of things with bigger agencies too.
Marfik: Especially with less jobs that need Operators on site. I hear lots of Operators like that...but I have a plan!
Researcher A: ...you know someone?
Marfik: The Operator that once came with me on a trip! Have you heard of Parallel Flight? They got new Operators too!

Present
Sui: Oh, so that's how that happened.
Mokdai: Makes sense they'd ask you to go out there then.
Akashi: Yeah most Operators in other agencies don't head out much. And this job as at a lake? Should be a nice, cool place! Wish I could go too.
Huckle: Since they went through the trouble of contacting us, I'd like for you to go if you're willing, MC. (opens contract form on phone)
MC: Lakeside workcation! / Aww, I'm by myself? / Kinda nervous about going alone...
(B) Huckle: Haha, don't worry. You won't be going alone.
(C) Exio: Wow, I didn't expect you to balk at work like that.
Ryekie: HAHA, it's cool! You did great today, after all!
Sui: I agree, I think you're fine with things like that.

Huckle: I could have gone too if I were an Operator.
Melide: (gets up from her seat) ...I'd like to go along.
Exio: We've been talking about getting Melide experience as an Operator since this seems like a good time. I can stay here to handle Operator work while you two are out. Let Melide watch you while you work. She can assist too.
Melide: I'm a little scared to be away from Exio...but I'll be okay with you MC. I personally want to go too. What do you think?
MC: Sure thing! / Looking forward to it / I'm excited to see the lake

MC and Melide land on Samaad.
???: There you are, MC! Long time no see!
Marfik: Your bones look just as healthy as before!
MC: Prof. Marfik! Long time no see. You haven't changed either.
Marfik: Haha, I knew you'd come! Thanks for helping! And you must be Melide. I heard from Huckle how you're way better than your age suggested.
Melide: Thank...you. I'm still learning, but I'll do my best.
Marfik: Nice! I should work hard too! But speaking of, work actually starts tomorrow. Today I'm doing a prelim check, so you two can relax. Lemme show you to your hotel!

Outside the spaceport
MC: It's beautiful! Wow the lake is big.
Pretty lake.
Marfik: Those buildings are right over there in the center! Wish we could start investigating sooner!
Melide: Our job is to keep the area secure for the investigation team. But wow this lake is big as an ocean.
Marfik: Yeah, you'd think so if you couldn't see the mountains inside. Not like Earth has lots of lakes this big. The local area was developed as a tourist spot.
Marfik points at some buildings around the water and cottages on top of the water.
Marfik: You guys will be staying over there at that hotel. It's new for us, but the standard design here. Samaad's civilization is supposed to be similar to Earth's, but it's interesting how the differences express themselves.
MC: That's a hotel? / That place looks high class... / Go, archeology professor!
(C) Marfik: Haha, thinking about stuff like that's habit to me.

Marfik: I'm in that hotel too. It's pretty nice, but the researchers get stuck in the hotel annex all day for work.
Marfik continues as the three continue on.
Marfik: I'm glad you guys came, but I'm going to be on the research team. You two will be on the security team and doing working elsewhere, but you can still tell me if anything goes wrong.
Melide: Thanks Marfik, I'll do my best.
Marfik: Cool! You're just as great as I've heard! Still, I guess I should say something to the young...
Upon reaching the hotel, Marfik squats so he's eye level with Melide.
Marfik: You're a bright cookie, so you should relax on occasion. Studying's fun! Do what you want, do what you think of, and share what you learn with people sometimes. Don't overthink things, and I'm sure you'll have fun. I hope your studies go well.
Melide: Okay, thank you. I'll keep it in mind.
Marfik: Good girl! Thanks for listening.

Marfik stands back up and looks at MC. He looks excited.
Marfik: Okay sorry MC, I gotta get back soon. Here's your room key. I'll call you tomorrow. Things are going good, so I want you to be excited as you work tomorrow!
MC: Okay, cool! / You seem excited too.

(B) Marfik: Haha, you found me out! Kinda embarrassed. I'm still studying too! Unknown buildings are so exciting!

Melide: He seems happy...um, I was wondering. Did I do a good job talking to him? I haven't talked with people much before...
MC: Perfectly! / Nervous?
(A) Melide: Oh, good. I have to be able to do my work too.
(B) Melide: Not really... I was just thinking that I wasn't used to talking to anyone besides you guys.

MC thinks back to what Marfik said.
MC: Relax! Be yourself.
Melide: ...thanks. Oh, but it's also something Exio asked me to do.
???: ...huh? Is that you, MC?

MC: Hisaki! What a coincidence.
Hisaki: How ya been? I was thinking the heat in Orient City knocked you out. And long time no see, Melide! You two here for the investigation thing? (gets key from an automatic machine)
Melide: Hello, the research group sent us a job request.
Hisaki: Oh, I'm here for that too. I wondered if I'd see someone I knew, but wow it's you guys! Work starts tomorrow, right? How about we take a walk around?
MC: Okay! Let's put our things down first. / Wanna go together, Melide? / I'm calling Crowne if you hit on me.

Melide: Yes. Direct sunlight burns. I do have sunblock, but I left it with my things.
Hisaki: Oh. Well let's stay in the shade then. And there's a cafe up ahead.

Hisaki: You know, those buildings are so huge and built so precisely that it'd take tons of time to make them with Earth's tech.
MC: So it surprises even you. Happy as an engineer?
Hisaki: Yep! New stuff to learn, new things to see!
Hisaki's excitement resembles Marfik's.
MC: Such curiosity.
Melide: Does that mean you're on the investigation team instead of the security team?
Hisaki: Both actually. I was originally asked for tech help because there'd be underwater work. I got picked for the water breather tool I made! (poses proudly) And I'm on the security so it'll be easier to tune up and get feedback on the devices. Lots of data for me! And as a hero, I can't stand by if there are illegal scavengers or Monsters around!
Melide: We were called for that too. Also, can I ask you a question?

Hisaki: What's up, Melide? I'm happy to answer whatever I can!
Melide: Thanks. I was thinking that if those buildings had sunk to the lake bottom, wouldn't they have been found when the planet was being developed?
Hisaki: Good thinking. I had the same thought at first. The planet was always habitable, but I heard the Archimedes Group did some terraforming. And as big as they are, they never saw the buildings back then. All we know now is that there's super strong jamming around the buildings.
Melide: So the jamming hid the buildings back then?
Hisaki: Yep. Things are gonna be fun if the jamming could hide things that big, and we don't even know why they hid them in the lake! I have my guesses, and...
MC notices something in the water.
MC: ...huh?
That something doesn't seem person-shaped.
Hisaki: What's up, MC?
MC: I just saw--
MC points at the lake...at nothing.
Melide: I don't see anything.
MC: You didn't see it? It didn't feel off so...maybe I imagined it.
Hisaki: Tired? We should relax then! Look, the cafe! (leads Melide in)

Bertro: It's cool. He made this decision, so he shouldn't be in danger at least. Anyways I figured out where Zhurong and the mafia who took Santa's bag are.
MC: Wow thanks. Can you tell me?
Bertro: One thing at a time! First, about the criminals. So there are microphones inside Ded's office and voice analysis came up with information of one person on my super science database. That'd be Simurgh, the don of the Simurgh Family mafia that operates near Arakawa. Let me send you a picture for reference.

Bertro: ...he's called the Underworld Godfather and is one of the reasons people call Arakawa a danger zone. Even the police can't do much to him. Based on the Santa School thing, he's armed.
MC: A mafia? / Why were they there...? / What's this connection thing?
(A) Bertro: Well he has no personal criminal record aside from today's events. Most of their activity is branched out to shop management and bodyguarding, among other stuff.
(B) Bertro: Dunno, but there must be something for them to act so publicly. Also it's questionable if the police CAN arrest them.
(C) Bertro: He has the magical power to heal any illness with his feathers which he uses to spread his influence. People who want that power see him as a savior. You've got the wealthy to the back street thugs adoring him.

Bertro: Now on to Zhurong...I bet you have a good idea by now, right?
MC: Arakawa? What's going on over there?
Bertro: Who knows? I recommend against going there though, no need to put yourself at risk. To repeat, he went there of his own volition and he should know how dangerous it is even at his age. If he were to get caught up in something, then--
MC: He might already be / You seem worried about me / I'm worried about him.
Bertro: ...I thought it'd go this way, but you really did just say that. I mean I know you pretty much CAN'T stay away from problems, but still. Your guild advisor has it tough. Maybe I should predict whether he'll still have hair in the future! ...jokes aside I'll come along with you since I can at least reduce the risk somewhat.

White: Why? Christmas is over so--
Simurgh: I don't have to answer. Shame what would happen if you said no to me.
MC: (sit quietly next to Yule) / Ryouta, you okay? / Zhurong, you feeling okay?
(A) Yule: It'll be okay. Ded can figure something out.
(B) Ryouta: Thanks, I'm good. I'd be crying if I were alone, but I need to hold it together to not upset Zhurong.
Ryouta sounds tough, but there's a hint of fear in his voice.
(C) Zhurong: I'm okay. I'm not afraid since they haven't really done anything to me. I think I'll be fine if I sit still. Their aura colors don't really look like bad people.

White: (sighs) Sorry, but there's no proof you won't abuse Santa's bag, so I can't just give it to you...
Simurgh: Are you stalling? Got an emergency police button at your desk?

Simurgh: Heh, I could see it on your face. Don't worry, things won't get that bad. But we can always paint this room red if you like. For Christmas!

MC hears Simurgh leave on the wingbeats of many feathers and distant cawing. Once the noise goes away...
White: It's okay now. They left now that he's done.

(A) White: Don't worry about it. As Santa, I don't want children to be endangered on my account.
(C) White: It's okay, I'm glad you're safe now.

MC: Bertro!? Thanks for coming so far, but why are you here?
Bertro: I was contacted by a comrade, so I came to hack the Santa School cameras and check things out. Looks like you got involved in another incident! In other news, we got lots of snow tonight, so want this umbrella?
MC: But it's clear out? That's what the weather report said... / Oh, well hopefully it doesn't.

Bertro: Ha ha, take that weather report! Take this umbrella. Also I contacted your guild to let them know what's happening. I predicted you wouldn't go to your guild Christmas party, so I informed them of that. They're going to make the party some other day, after you finish up with all this.

MC: Oh, have you seen Zhurong? I figured we'd go home together since it's getting late.
Bertro: The short boy who talked to you like an old friend? The Shinjuku Elementary student from Old Ones and their Entity of the Outer Realm abilities and who once terrorized Tokyo in the past--
MC: Yeah yeah yeah, have you seen him
Bertro: Nope! I can predict where he is though. He's probably following the criminals who attacked the Santa School.
MC: THEY TOOK HIM!?
Bertro: No I just said he followed them. He made a decision to chase them.
MC: WHAT!? / That's not funny / (stare suspiciously)

Bertro: Sorry, I'm for real right now. You couldn't tell? He wasn't blindfolded or tied up back there, though maybe it's because they thought he was a kid who couldn't do anything and left him. I doubt it though since he was breathing calmly. Boy didn't react to having a gun pointed at him, so he must've been in contact with them.
MC: No way...but why?
Bertro: That'd take six hours to explain. Would you prefer if I checked the traffic cameras instead?

Seiichirou: Whoa! It feels like the heroes are getting infinite power! The Path is progressively falling apart. The exit is closing! We can do it!
Exio: I didn't imagine it to happen this way, but it feels like we're almost there. MC! We can't let this chance slip by us!

Suddenly MC gets dizzy...
MC: Whoa...
Exio: MC? What's wrong!?
Seiichirou: I guess all that power is starting to get to them. But we've almost won! Hang in there a little bit longer!

MC holds a shaky arm up towards the other end of the Path and focuses. Their thoughts become a bright white light that flows towards their hand.

Mokdai's listening to the conversation while looking at the news.
Seiichirou: Well it's true the public doesn't know who did it because the leaders who instigated the terrorism got eaten by Monsters so they forgot he ever said Make Japan Great Again. But then again, if he wasn't eaten it wouldn't seem weird wherever that info leaked from. So I guess the leaders being erased was all just as planned.
MC: How awful... / But we remember. / What about heroes and Observers?
(A) Mokdai: B-but you guys remember.
(BC) Mokdai: Y-yeah, what about that?

Mokdai: There must be some people who remember if heroes and Observers can remember...
Seiichirou: Did you forget who's running the news and doing the investigation?
Mokdai: ...I don't follow.
Huckle: The Shin Ashihara have collaborators in the government, mass media, and investigative agencies, which means they have control on the narrative even if anyone speaks up.
Ryekie: We interact with heroes and Observers a lot, but the actual number of us including villains compared to the whole population is small. And if the villains can erase the memories of any civilians that happened to be around, they can just dismiss what we say as crazy talk.
Monomasa: ...it happens a lot in incidents involving villains and Monsters. It's harder to prove something when the proof involves Parallel Weapons and Monsters, so heroes have to arrest criminals in the act. Which is why it's easy for villains to act undercover.
MC: That's terrible...

Yoshiori: Everyone that trumpets about justice in society is like that. If someone rushes at you, you crush them yourself and deal with the clean up yourself. It's how we lived when we were villains because we had to.
Melide: ...we lived because we were helped by society's organizations. It's a miserable topic when you're on the side that's hurt...you can't judge the criminals.
Seiichirou: ...that said, the Shin Ashihara have to do everything they can to suppress controverting testimony, and they currently have to focus on the chaos that happened here for the time being. I doubt they have room to come after you again.
MC: Then...I guess we're okay for now.

Seiichirou: So it seems there's other groups starting to make moves targeting you, so apparently the potential you showed is a big topic in villain networks. They fear your incredible abilities...though I suppose you wouldn't be happy about that. But anyways it seems they see they can't underestimate you. I can't say you're completely safe, but for now I doubt they'll attack in the near future.
Huckle: The irony of MC's struggling becoming a deterrence...
Akashi: ...um, what happened to my other self?
Huckle: ...he disappeared without a word at some point.
Seiichirou: Sorry, we have no info pertaining to him. If we believe him, then it's true he left the Shin Ashihara. No idea for what he did after that though. Why did he come here? How? Is he connected to the Broker? Mysteries.
Akashi: ...oh.
MC: Wonder where he went? / Will we see him again? / You worried about him?
(C) Akashi: Not...really...?

Huckle: But after this, I won't be able to do anything since I'm not an Observer anymore. So as the one who wants to leave things to the person who knows the most of how this agency works, I'd like to say something.
Huckle looks to Exio. Exio nods.

Exio: ...yes. Personally, I've always been concerned about you since I learned about you. I have to ask again, but do you remember if you were conscious of what you were doing when we were inside that Path in Osaka?
MC: No...I don't even know much about Paths.
Exio: Figures... You never had time to understand your abilities. It's true you're in danger of destroying yourself if you mess up trying to control and use Paths, but from what I hear that hasn't happened in practice. (sighs and steps forward to MC)
Exio: ...you really are peculiar for an Observer, beyond anything I could imagine. But it's because you have that much power that you have to learn how to control it for your own safety. It's impossible for me to perfectly understand how you see the world and how you can use your powers, but I can at least teach you how to control Paths. Observers need their own training just like heroes have to train their bodies. (holds out his hand)

Exio: You can join or not join the Alliance, whichever. I don't think they'll mind you not deciding on it now. But will you let me teach you how to use your Observer abilities and the right mentality for them? You can think of it as for your own protection. ...so, feel like studying under me? (smiles)

Bertro knows of Christmas as a holiday Thing and considers asking Isaac to play with him instead, but only because he just needs anybody to play with rather than wanting to spend time with Isaac. He hesitates on thinking that though.
Isaac: Haha, no need to hold back on me. But how about we test something else out today?
Bertro: Like what? Need help with your research?
Isaac: That'd be nice too, but this would be a Christmas thing. How about we decorate for Christmas and get some Christmas dinner?
Bertro: ???
Isaac: You ever wonder if Santa would come to us too? I wanna ask him directly how he flies.
Bertro: Oh! I'll make a Santa trap then. And plan out a cannon to shoot him back out.

Ded's office door bursts open and mobsters run in with guns out!
Red: Nobody move. Hands up, or we'll shoot the kid.
MC: !? (obeys and demands the mobsters keep their word)
Red: Good. You, tie their hands behind their backs.
The mobsters do so. By the way there's two other people in here...
Teda: Oh man, the Arakawa case made it over here. We can't just come out now! And MC is here too! I'm gonna burn them to ash for what they're doing to MC...

Koropokkur: Well what else could have I done?
Teda and Koropokkur are in some cafe. Teda's watching people outside the window.
Teda: Oh wait a sec, there's more people I gotta give love to.
Teda makes a heart with his fingers. The crowd of randos goes wild. Koropokkur covers his ears and is so done with it as he continues.
Koropokkur: This is why I hate being with you. It's like this everywhere you go! You ever think about going incognito so there's less noise?
Teda: Why would I do that? People love it when I shine! And I just hate how you're always playing cool.

Yule: Oh no I don't see any children out here! I know it's midnight outside in the cold but still! And it doesn't seem to be that children are inside because of the cold...
Yule looks around and finds no one.

Barguest: Santa! Did you see a boy about yay high wearing a backback because he apparently has the thing welded to him?

Santetsu: Everyone, please step back! I'm going to do it again! (closes his eyes and casts his ultimate as his book glows)
Santetsu: Reading Comprehension "Olvasó Mozgások"!
Santetsu creates a giant hole underneath all the Monsters and drops them!
Roiker: ...I gotta hold out just a bit more! 1/1 scale WASP-76b! Observation "Spiral Nebula"!
Roiker fires a bunch of giant energy balls that combine and go into the hole!
Monsters: LOVELYYY (poof)
MC: Wow, you one-shot them! Your combo is awesome!

Roiker: Urgh... (drops to his knee)
Santetsu: Roiker! You really can't keep this up.
Roiker: Oh no...my attacks are getting weaker. I don't have enough stamina...
Akashi Alter: Roiker, or whatever? Can you still do your enemy search?
Roiker: ...yes, but we've gotten rid of most of the ones I can see from here. They're continuing to pop up from beneath the giant Path. They'll be here again in like five minutes.
Akashi: Seriously!?
Panning shot of the party looking beat up and worn out.
Akashi Alter: Alright, I'll go alone.
Akashi: Wait what!? You're worn out too!
Akashi Alter: So? You gonna just let them destroy the city? It's not like they'll let us rest, and I'm not gonna sit back and let them eat the city up. I have to destroy them, even if it kills me! (runs)

Akashi: Hey wait! ...man, what got into him!?
Huckle: Monsters seem to have traumatized him. He's right that the Monsters won't wait for us though. We have to hold out long enough to figure out how to solve this mess.
Ryekie: War of attrition, huh? I got this! Stamina's the thing I got most of!
Seiichirou: We can't keep this up forever though. We at least have a little time now, so we should move too. Exio, MC, we're going to close that Path!
Exio: ...we haven't done that since the Mt. Fuji incident. It's gonna be risky about whether we can pull it off, but we don't have another choice. Ready, MC!?
MC: Yeah!
Seiichirou and Exio hold their hands up to the Path as they close their eyes and concentrate. MC follows suit. And just like with Mt. Fuji, MC's mind gets sent to sort of space. A powerful force blows against MC like wind.
MC: Was it like this last time!?
Exio: ...no, it's a lot stronger this time.
Seiichirou: It's not just Monsters appearing in the city! That giant thing is in the back...!

Suddenly Monsters!
Seiichirou: !!
Exio: We're getting pushed out!
Monsters are riding the space waves into the hole behind MC, Exio, and Seiichirou. They don't seem to care about the three, but the amount going through makes it hard for them to stay.
MC: I can't...hold on!
MC, Exio, and Seiichirou get slammed back onto their asses back on the ground.
Ryekie: H-hey, you guys okay!? It looked like you all suddenly got tackled!
Seiichirou: Ugh...that might have hurt us. You two okay?
MC: I-I'm okay, just a graze! But what was that!?

Seiichirou: The Path itself was expanding, probably from all that weird force. And tons of Monsters were flowing to that exit, so no matter how many we take down they'll just keep coming.
Exio: It's gonna be bad if we leave it alone. But we can't just let ourselves get overwhelmed. Let's try that again since we don't have time to figure something else out! And if more Monsters come, we won't be able to close that Path anyway.
Seiichirou: Right, we just have to steel ourselves! We have to finish it before we get swarmed! MC, Exio!
MC: Right!

Second verse, same as the first.
MC: Ack!
Let's do the time warp again!
MC: Ow!
Akashi: MC, you okay!?
Whoops, MC is looking cut up and bleeding.
MC: The heroes and Observers are doing their best, so I gotta do my best too!
MC staggers to their feet and heads towards Exio and Seiichirou again.
Akashi: Hey! ...wait what? What's that weird light coming from MC?

Later
Seiichirou: ...well, you look fine for now MC. We're just about out of time. I know this is pushing it, but let's try one more time.
MC: Right!
Exio: ...? MC, what's going on with your body?
MC: wait what
MC notices a pale blue light coming from their body now.
MC: WAIT WHAT
Exio: You didn't notice? Well, does anything seem off?
MC: Uhh, I guess I'm a little tired...
Exio: ...oh. Well you have been concentrating and using your power this whole time. It rarely happens, but tell us if you're hitting your limit. Seiichirou and I can buy you time to recover.
MC: Thanks, but I'm okay!
Seiichirou: (Why'd Exio lie? I mean it's true Observers give a faint glow on rare occasions when using their powers, but I at least have never seen it this clearly? What's happening with MC...?)
Exio: Let's get to it, Seiichirou.
Seiichirou: ...right.

MC's light intensifies as all three concentrate on the Path again.
Yep, still a whole mess of Monsters inside.
Seiichirou: Ugh, I knew it. Still...!
The three concentrate on trying to close the Path.
??????: !!!
Seiichirou: What!?
A soundless roar shakes the Observers before kicking them out again!
MC: AAAAAA
Oh yeah MC physically gets sent flying for this.
Huckle: MC! (catches MC)
Huckle: ...I made it.
A bright light fills Huckle's eyes!
Huckle: !?
Now Huckle sees sort of space too.

Huckle: ...huh.
Huckle recognizes that space. It's the inside of a Path, which he's seen himself when he was an Observer. An MC-shaped mass of pale blue light is in his hands as he stands there still holding them.
Huckle: MC, did you bring me here...?
Monsters incoming to kick Huckle out!
Huckle: Voyager Kick!
Huckle continues carrying Lightform MC as he Galactic Punts the Monsters away!
Huckle: ...I can fight with my Parallel Weapon inside a Path?
Monsters: REEEE
Huckle: More!? Hup!

Huckle jumps up to avoid the rush and readies to stomp out the Monsters! Except then MC slips out of his arms...
Huckle: Oh no!
Huckle is back in Osaka where he was before he got into the Path. MC is standing in front of him.
MC: Thank you, Director.
Huckle: ...r-right. MC, did you just do something to me?
MC: ...no? Did you do something?
Huckle: Oh, uh no. It's nothing. I'm counting on you.
MC: Right, I'll never give up!
Huckle: (stares)
Huckle: What just happened...? That would never happen when touching a normal Observer...

Later
The Observers get knocked on their asses again.
Santetsu: That was the 20th time now... Shouldn’t we be dead?
Roiker: It'd be nice if we had some help...but it sucks that we don't here. !! Monster alert! Next wave incoming! Santetsu, I'll set them up and you finish them off!
Santetsu: Understood. I'll hold out as long as I can!
Roiker: Team Parallel Flight, please guard the Observers. Could you?
Huckle: Of course. Good luck.
Roiker and Santetsu move out, leaving the Observers to focus on the Path and the rest of the party.

Seiichirou: Roiker and Santetsu are tiring out. We can't take much longer on this. I've said this to the point it's lost any meaning, but we'll get it for sure next time.
Exio: It's still demoralizing that we're at this point! But then again we can't pull out here. Let's do what we can!
Ryekie: Is watching all we can do!? Can't we help the Observers out somehow!? Anything at all!
Akashi: We're pretty beat up ourselves. But I feel the same. I'd rather not let MC see me like this as much as possible. I'm supposed to shield them, but...!
MC: You guys...we have to do this though since we're always in the back.
Huckle: ...
Huckle: Excuse me, MC. (touches MC)
FLASH
MC: wait what
Heat flows from Huckle's hand!
MC: WAIT WHAT
MC's stamina slightly recovers like Huckle is sharing his!

Ryekie: Huckle, what are you doing? (puts hand on Huckle's shoulder)
FLASH
Ryekie: Wait WHAT? (lets go) I saw stars!
Huckle: MC, did something change when I touched you?
MC: Everything turned white for a second and I actually felt better...
Huckle: ...thank you. We have something we can help with now.
Ryekie: Ooh, ooh! What!? Does it have to do with those stars I saw!?
Huckle: Ryekie, Akashi, hold onto me. We're going to help them fight inside the Path.
Akashi: That's a thing!?
Huckle: I just tried, and we can go back in there. There's no time to hesitate. Let's do what we can.
MC: You can do that!?
Huckle: MC, let me touch you again. Once inside the Path, let us defend you guys while you close it.
Akashi and Ryekie put their hands on Huckle.
Seiichirou: ...what are you guys doing?
Huckle: Okay MC. Take us in. Don't worry about us when we're there, just focus on shutting it all down.
MC: Here we go! (holds hand up to the Path)

Inside the Path, Huckle, Ryekie, and Akashi are there.
MC: Wait what!? How!?
Seiichirou: I have the same questions!
Exio: Hmm...
Akashi: What, where are we!? MC, did you bring us here!?
Ryekie: Hey I just saw all this!
Huckle: Yeah, we're inside the Path. I know because I was an Observer before too. The exit back home is behind us, and something big is up ahead.
Seiichirou: Is MC sharing their vision and Observation ability with them!? Impossible! I only ever heard of it working with other Observers lined up!
Exio: Never mind that, don't they feel the huge pressure in here?

Monsters incoming!
Akashi: Oh right, they're coming in from here!
Huckle: I was able to attack them earlier. They're trying to get out from here, so you know what we have to do right?
Ryekie: Destroy them and keep them away from the Observers! Winners strike first!
Ryekie Thunder Dashes into a group of Monsters!
Ryekie: Full force! Justice Thunderrrr! BOOM
Monsters: (poof)
MC: WHOA / You already fought so much, yet you still have that much energy!?
(BC) Huckle: Ryekie! You had that much stamina left?

Akashi: ...nah, I can somehow tell that ain't it. I can feel it too. We were exhausted from all the fighting earlier, but I feel a whole bunch of power coming up from within me!
Ryekie's thunder surges around! They hit invisible walls that aren't supposed to be there and break them down to the sounds of shattering glass, and cracks spread around with fierce light.
MC: WHAT
Exio: He damaged the Path itself! I never knew you could bring heroes into the Path and cause that much damage!
Seiichirou: I can't keep up with all this! A hero being here without getting sucked up is already unheard of, but a hero can destroy the Path!? Is this MC's power too!?
Exio: Yeah, we never imagined any of this before but there's no time to think about it. MC, are you feeling okay? Feeling any strain?
MC: Nope! I actually feel great!

Exio: ...heroes and Observers can share energy? No wait, that's still not enough to explain that big buff. Too many questions, but we do have a plan to close the Path now.
Seiichirou: ...right. For now, we have to do whatever we can to stop this and save Osaka! Everyone! Let's join together to weaken the path and erase it from Osaka's sky!
Akashi: I don't really get it, but we can just go wild while bopping Monsters, right!? I got this! In fact, I can't wait to run around swinging!
Huckle: We can do anything we're able to! We won't leave all the fighting to you three! MC, let's save the city and everyone in it!
MC: Right!
The Observers hold their hand up to the far end of the Path while the heroes ready themselves for the approaching Monsters...the decisive battle is at hand.
