Live A Hero Golden Spirit of Dawn Episode 11

Title card pops up immediately, and this chapter is called His Place to Return To.

We then pick up from last time as the party reacts in surprise at seeing Procy, with Gomeisa caling out to him and Procy actually seeing that it's us here. He starts to ask why you're all here and if you know what kind of place this is when Kaibutsu scream and cut him off. Procy gets pissed at the interruption and whacks the thing away, and you are amazed at his strength as a veteran hero. Procy grumbles that the conversation will never get anywhere if they keep cutting in, so he tells you guys to save it for later and help him get rid of the freaks. You agree with the idea.

Procy orders Gomeisa to stay behind you guys and support you. Gomeisa hesitates, so Procy demands an answer. Gomeisa then says he'll do his best, and Mokdai comments that Gomeisa seems happy. He then turns to you and says he's resuming the battle live, starting up the episode battle as the Kaibutsu roar again. The story continues afterwards.

After the battle, the story picks up at the point the last Kaibutsu is taken down, dispersing into light and disappearing. Procy sighs as he asks if it's over now. He attempts to ask why you guys are here again when Gomeisa yells and forcefully grabs him in a tackle-hug. Procy is taken by surprise at this and tells Gomeisa to let him go, but Gomeisa is too busy crying over seeing him again. He's hugging so hard that Procy says it's starting to hurt and that Gomeisa's never learned to hold back.

Barrel explains to Procy that you guys came looking for him, and Procy recognizes him from the police station before asking if he really did come all this way looking for him. Barrel confirms that, adding that it was Gomeisa who requested the search and that they figured to come here in the course of things. He also throws in that Gomeisa really wanted to see him. Procy goes quiet, and Mokdai adds that Gomeisa was so focused on looking for him that he forgot about other things. Akashi says it was a pain getting here, but now that they found him your part in this is over.

Procy starts calling you all idiots, and that you're all even dumber than he thought if you really did come here after investigating his trail. He demands to know how you guys could so casually stroll all the way here. You guys must've known it'd be dangerous, which is why he never wrote down where he was going. However, Gomeisa cuts off Procy's rant by yelling that he was worried about him, and you are shocked that Gomeisa would show anger.

Gomeisa argues that the note he left said nothing at all. If Procy came here for his sake, then he asks why Procy didn't include that in it. Gomeisa also brings up that today is the first day he found out about Procy having always fought to keep him safe and the reason that brought him to this ruined city, and he asks why he was never told about any of it. Procy is surprised by this outburst, and Gomeisa continues by saying that he's a hero too who can at least handle himself. He's still afraid, but he'll do his best. What he's more afraid of is Procy disappearing on him. His face crumples up as tears start welling in his eyes, and he starts bawling out loud all the tears he had let fall silently. The dam holding them all breaks.

Mokdai says Gomeisa must've been holding himself back. Akashi says Gomeisa's a crybaby, but notes he's been trying hard in his own way. Procy is shocked since he's never seen Gomeisa cry this hard before, but he starts crying a little himself as he goes quiet, then gently hugs Gomeisa's head to his chest. He apologizes for worrying him, saying it's all okay now. He smiles for Gomeisa, face full of kindness. You wonder if it's case closed now, say you're feeling some tears too, or say you might be feeling a little jealous.

Mokdai smiles at the scene before he asks where Barrel went. Barrel turns out to be a few feet away, crying his own eyes out and wiping his tears with his already wet handkerchief. Akashi is taken aback at this happening again and tells him to stop crying at the drop of a hat. Barrel is embarrassed as he says that he's easily moved by scenes like this, then notices he has snot running out of his nose, which he blows out. Akashi backs off, grossed out and telling him to stop. You either bring up that you saw this all happen the other day, say the mood is ruined, or comment that Barrel is open with himself. And somewhere around, a villain is watching in the shadows.

Time skips a bit after an offscreen explanation to Procy about how you guys figured out he was here, and he comments that you were told about pretty much all his whereabouts. He sighs about how resourceful Gammei is and says he can't underestimate him. Barrel starts to ask Procy about all of Huckle's guesses and your gleamed conclusions, and Procy tells him they're mostly right. He says if he were so easily ambushed, things wouldn't have gone on as far as it did. He heard the villains' boss was coming by and thought about settling it once and for all.

Gomeisa apologizes to Procy for pushing him to go that far for him. Procy says he doesn't need to apologize since he just ran away from them because he was scared. The ones in the wrong were the ones who brought him to Earth. Procy giving him shelter was just something he chose to do on his own, so Gomeisa nods. You then ask Procy what he meant by settling things. Mokdai says he's curious about that too since by all accounts Procy would be dealing with a universal power. It'd be one thing if he were looking at an individual, but Mokdai has trouble believing Procy could negotiate something out with a large organization, and that's not even getting into them being a criminal organization.

Procy starts explaining by acknowledging that they are a spacefaring power. If Procy were to try to pick a fight, they could just swat him like a flea. While they may be outlaws, the fact that they're a large organization means that they have a chain of command system in place. No matter if someone is a thug at the bottom of the rung or one of the bosses, they all have to abide by it. A quick flashback pops up replaying the mob guards' conversation about how the bosses have an interest in Gomeisa and will kill them all if they dispose of him. You then wonder out loud if that was why they backed off back then.

Akashi asks about the system and if it means that the villains have their own rules and laws. He then asks if Procy was leveraging them to settle things. Procy confirms, saying that it doesn't matter what the details are or what position someone has, if things are done to code as set by the system, they won't be able to interfere with things. Anyone who tries despite that will get branded as traitors to the organization. He's disgusted with what they do, but he'll use what he can if the opportunity presents itself. Procy then pulls out a bunch of papers with a bunch of tiny writing on them and finished with a scrawled signature. You either ask what they are, suspect what the papers are for, or comment that the handwriting sucks. C surprises Procy into telling you to not focus on things like that.

Anyways, Procy says the simplest way to put it is that the papers are a title deed. Whoever holds them is is in charge of Gomeisa, and the system says that the rights can be transferred if the appropriate payment is given. Procy notes that 'appropriate payment' is vague though. Barrel starts to ask the meaning of Procy having them, so Procy says he negotiated. They weren't willing to talk though, so bluntly speaking Procy had to cough up. He adds that he doesn't like the idea of equating peoples' lives to money. He says it wasn't that much to shut them up, but he admits he's further into debt now. You then ask about who Gomeisa's current owner is.

Procy bundles up all the papers into an envelope and holds it out to Gomeisa, saying he's giving them to him. Gomeisa is surprised by this and tries to protest, but Procy says he's not interested in discussing that as he feels the one in charge of Gomeisa should be Gomeisa himself. He's just giving him his rights back. If he has them, the villains won't lay a finger on him so long as he still keeps the thing because that's how their system works.

Gomeisa is lost for words, and Procy says he'll be free now. He won't have to hide at Procy's anymore, and he won't have to go back to the villains. He can go wherever he wants to, wherever he likes. Gomeisa stares at the papers he was given, then asks Procy to hold them. Procy is surprised by this, as is Mokdai who asks if Gomeisa understood what Procy had told him. Gomeisa is quiet for a moment before he smiles and reveals that he doesn't, shocking Mokdai into telling him not to brush things off with a smile like that.

Akashi is also shocked at things and asks what's happening with Gomeisa's work contract to Procy's store. Barrel says he doesn't want to think about it. Gomeisa says that while he didn't understand, he has pieced together that the holder of the documents would be his owner. You notice that he has understood that part, so you ask him why he's giving the papers back.

Gomeisa says he wants Procy to hold the papers, then talks about how he took him in when he was brought to Earth and didn't know what to do. Procy was the one to teach him universal common, how life on Earth works, how to work at his pub, and how to cook. Procy was also the one to give him a home, and Procy can't bring himself to say anything to that. Gomeisa then says that Procy is like a father to him on Earth, someone important to him. So because of that he wants Procy to have him even after this, and he smiles without a care in the world at him.

Procy sighs at him, then takes the envelope back in resignation. He then says he'll just be safekeeping them for Gomeisa. When Gomeisa finally understands what the papers really mean, he'll give them back. He calls Gomeisa a kid for entrusting himself to him so easily, saying it's such a bother. You either sigh Procy's name or ask if he's blushing. B gets an extra line where Procy is shocked and claims he isn't, and that he suddenly got a fever from how baffled he was.

Procy quickly changes the subject and prompts everyone that it's time to go home, saying it'll be nighttime when you guys get back at this rate. He rushes over to his motorbike, ears burning red. Gomeisa asks him to wait and asks why he's mad. Procy denies being mad, then tells him to stop clinging to him so much. Akashi laughs and says they have a weird relationship. Mokdai thinks on how Gomeisa compared Procy to a father and says they do act the part. Barrel says he's starting to feel like seeing his parents too. You suggest to the party that you guys head back too.

Akashi agrees, and Barrel worries about the patrol car and hopes it still works. Mokdai panics a little at remembering that the car got damaged, but some rumbling catches everyone's attention as Akashi asks about it. The rumbling gets even stronger, which makes Barrel think that it's an earthquake. Procy however realizes that the way the trembling is happening isn't a quake, and soon you hear the sounds of something being destroyed. The episode soon ends as a giant Kaibutsu reveals itself.
