Live A Hero Golden Spirit of Dawn Episode 13

Title card pops up immediately, and the last chapter is called Welcome Home Procy.

Narration then picks up saying the sun has fully set, and the city lights are on. You guys have now finally returned to Orient City's central district where Procy's store is. Barrel sighs about the car going bust now, but says the fact that it still held together until you guys got past the wall is the silver lining in the cloud. Akashi talks about how you guys had to walk an hour to get to the nearest station from where the engine stalled, then rode a train for half an hour, so now he is bushed. You either comment that you want to rest already or try to look on the bright side and say you guys are back now. A has Mokdai agree and suggest taking a vacation tomorrow. B has Mokdai say that's true, but he's surprised at how tough you are.

Procy complains about being forced to walk with the party after the engine failure since his bike was still working. Gomeisa tells him he isn't allowed to return ahead of everyone since he promised to Huckle and the others that you'd all be back together. Procy gets pissy as he tells him to think about how he feels about having to go back for the bike since he was forced to leave it behind, but Gomeisa says it'll be okay since he'll come with and carry him if Procy says he's tired. Procy quickly rejects this and says he'll go alone. Mokdai smiles at this, then notices that there are people by Procy's store.

In the back alley that leads to Procy's bar, five people are hanging around by the entrance. Kirsch notices you guys and calls over to you guys as she welcomes you back. Gomeisa is surprised to see her and everyone else, and Narihito mentions it's been about five hours since your battle live ended, so the timing of meeting you all is perfect. Polaris Mask jokingly complains that he wished you guys took him along too if you were going to have such a heated battle. He could feel it through the screen. Mokdai notes their presence, and Huckle welcomes you all back next, glad you made it safely. You greet him and say you guys have returned.

Huckle talks about having seen your battle live, and while you did have Procy helping towards the end, you did well in handling that giant Kaibutsu. He does have a bunch of things he wants to say, but for now he leaves things with 'good work.' Procy is surprised at all these people here and mentions there being people he's never seen before, then asks what's all this about. A voice tells him that everyone was worried about him, and this turns out to be Gammei speaking. He sighs about how Procy left such a profound note behind and asks him not to take up so much of his time.

Procy sighs in turn and says he wasn't planning on making a big deal out of it. Polaris Mask says that, intentions aside, Procy has something he ought to say to everyone. Procy says he knows in embarrassment, then apologizes for making everyone worry. You express some surprise at him being so obedient and properly apologizing, so Procy calls you rude as he says even he apologizes when he does something wrong. Gammei laughs and says it's fine as long as he knows.

Barrel is surprised for a moment, then calls out to Gammei as he jogs towards him. Once he gets close enough he segues right into doing a dogeza bow as he apologizes, baffling Gammei. You are amazed at how smoothly he did that and say Gammei looks confused. Barrel talks about how Gammei was the superior officer in this case, yet Barrel ignored his orders to do his own thing. Even if Gammei threw him some help, what Barrel did as an officer was a serious thing. He apologizes for making him look bad.

Gammei sighs, wondering if Barrel being straightforward makes him an idiot or if it happens the other way around. Since Barrel understands what he did though, Gammei cuts down on what he needs to say and tells him that he's told the upper brass about what Barrel did and has the paperwork for writing him up. Barrel recoils at it but agrees it's appropriate. Akashi attempts to speak up in Barrel's defense, saying that while he did ignore orders, he did settle the case.

Barrel tells Akashi that he is a police officer and a member of an organization before he's a hero. There are rules he has to follow, so it's only natural that he be punished if he breaks them. Akashi deflates a little at the unfairness of it, and you either say it's frustrating, say that's how it is in the adult world, or stay quiet. Gomeisa asks what's going to happen to Barrel, but Barrel says he's ready to hear what's in store and asks Gammei to tell him his punishment.

Gammei says he has guts if he's ready, then opens up the paper and reads out aloud 'one month.' Barrel is confused by this, so Gammei reads the rest of the details. Barrel will be receiving a pay cut for one month as punishment for taking a car for non-job related purposes. Barrel is surprised he's not being punished worse for insubordination and acting outside of his jurisdiction, but Gammei asks why he's so hesitant about this when he was so forceful about serving justice earlier. He then tells him to act prouder as Gammei will talk things over with the higher ups. His salary has been affected by this case too apparently, he says with a wry smile.

Mokdai is a bit surprised at Gammei while Barrel leaps at him, thanking him and saying he's really someone to respect. Gammei is taken by surprise as he tells Barrel to let go since he's making him too warm and his tail wagging is annoying. Barrel then remembers that he needs to tell Gammei about the patrol car breaking down. Gammei is a bit shocked, then tells him it sucks to be him since he'll have to pay for it out of his own salary and Gammei can't do anything about that. Barrel groans about this, so you either say his entire pay got cut, wonder how much he's on the hook for, or try to cheer him up.

Akashi asks how much money policemen make. Mokdai says he doesn't know, but whenever he sees Gammei, he's always ordering the cheapest things on the menu. Gammei gets pissy since he can hear them and tells them to stop broadcasting how poor he is, so Mokdai quickly apologizes. Barrel moans that he'll be stuck living on instant food for a while. This was a result of him upholding justice, but it still sucks it blew up like that. Polaris Mask suggests he try fighting it out in the underground ring part time since battle winnings pay fairly well. Barrel is quick to decline the idea, saying he knows he isn't suited for pro wrestling. You try to encourage him to hang in there, offer to treat him to a meal, or offer to lend him some money. In A, Barrel thanks you and says he'll be okay. In B, Barrel asks if you mean it and says you're kind, and that he might crush on you. In C, Barrel says no since he shouldn't bother other people as a result of his chosen actions.

Anyways, Barrel thanks you guys for all your help with the investigation. He can't do much to repay you guys, but he invites you guys to come see him at the police box if you're ever in trouble. He's confident in his skills and is sure it'll clear whatever issues you have up. Also, it's okay to just come see him if you don't have any problems you need help with. Gammei is baffled by what Barrel is saying, and he asks why he's blushing. Barrel then tries to laugh it all off as a joke. Polaris Mask however sees what's up but smiles to himself.

Some time later I guess, Kirsch starts talking to Gomeisa about having seen his battle live and about that move he used. She describes it as beautiful and kind, a very Gomeisa sort of move. She's known him for a while, but she never knew he could fight like that. Gomeisa thanks her but admits it was surprising to himself as well. It was probably the first time he's used a move like that on a huge Kaibutsu that worked. Narihito is shocked to hear that since Gomeisa doesn't have much of a battle record to his name, and Kirsch gets fired up about thinking up a new move once she goes home.

Procy talks about having heard of Gomeisa's finisher before, but that was the first time he saw it. On further thought he probably has seen it before, but it wasn't as big a spectacle as then. Huckle suggests that he may have changed because of wanting to live with him again. While he has his worries about Gomeisa, Huckle does feel like he's grown over the course of the case as a hero and as a person. Procy sighs, asking him to stop since it's not like he became this hugely influential person who controls Gomeisa's life. Huckle laughs, saying that even if he doesn't feel like it he's probably already become that way.

Gomeisa asks Huckle if he's changed since the first day he transformed him. Huckle says he thinks so, at least personally on how he fights. He's changed in a way he'd never have imagined considering he started off so frightened of things. In that final battle, Huckle says he didn't sense any doubts in Gomeisa's movements, so he believes Gomeisa's solidified his reason for being a hero. Very heroic of him. Gomeisa thanks Huckle, and you ask him if he had something to do with Gomeisa becoming a hero. Huckle realizes he's never told you about that, then says he was the Operator when Gomeisa first became a hero. In the midst of a battle between heroes and Kaibutsu, he wished for a peaceful world without conflict, which is what made him out to be a hero. Of course, he wasn't actually able to attack at the time.

Gomeisa brings up that he's terrible at fighting, as had been mentioned multiple times. He had always been afraid, thinking that it would have been better if everyone could come to an understanding instead of clashing against one another. But in talking with everyone and battling together, he's found the determination to stand and fight. It wasn't about running away, but about facing the battle, thinking, and trying to create peace. Coming up with a solution may be hard, but he'll keep thinking about it. After all, he wants to live happily with everyone. You either comment that it's a dream that might never be fulfilled, or wish him luck and say you'll cheer him on. In A Gomeisa says he knows, but he says he won't run away as he laughs. In B and C, Gomeisa thanks you and says he won't run.

Either way Gomeisa says he's been helped a lot by you and thanks you for everything, saying that it was assuring having you help find Procy. He offers to help if there's ever anything he can do as a hero, promising to do his best. Procy then says he's opened the door and prompts you guys to go in. If you're going to stand around and talk you may as well do it inside where he can give you a drink. Narihito says that's convenient since now you guys can use the place. Procy asks what he means, so Kirsch starts to laugh while Polaris Mask reveals that they've gotten a party together for him. They smile as they lift up some bags, which includes cake, buckets of fried chicken, plates of hors d'oeuvres and other stuff. Procy reacts in shock while you cheer and support the idea since you're hungry.

Mokdai also cheers, asking if it's okay for you guys to join too. Kirsch answers yes since the party is also being done in appreciation of you guys. Akashi cheers since he thought he'd just have to deal with being hungry, so he suggests getting inside and getting started. Procy attempts to protest against having a party in his pub even if it is a food business, and he's embarrassed about having a party for his sake. Nobody listens as they walk inside and carry all the things, leaving him to sigh to himself. Huckle stays and tries to say it should be okay. He can just call it a reservation tonight, plus he needs time to get things back up and running like normal. Procy asks Huckle if he was the one to put the idea in everyone's head, but Huckle deflects and suggests it's not like it's any worse with Ryekie not being here since he likes parties. Procy grumbles he'll get him for this one day.

Inside the pub, Mokdai asks someone to pull some tables together so that he can put the hors d'oeuvres down. Akashi sees some tables nearby to do that with, so he goes to move them. Barrel is excited to see some 10x spicy chicken around and says he loves them, but Gammei tells him he'd better wait until everyone has a seat because he's hungry too. Gomeisa gets amazed at the cake, and Kirsch laughs as she said she promised she'd bring a really nice one for when Procy got back. Polaris Mask asks if the cups he's got are fine, and if anyone wants beer there's beer mugs around. Narihito opts to get some beer then. It's his first time there and he's impressed by the booze variety. Huckle suggests he write about the place since it'll be good publicity. Narihito says he'd like to write about this case too and already is thinking of titles.

While everyone else is getting the party ready, Procy is watching quietly from the countertop. You talk to him and comment that he looks dissatisfied and ask if he hates parties. Procy is caught off guard by your presence, but he denies hating parties because he'd have otherwise never set up this business. He's just embarrassed at having a party being held for him. You either call him shy or call him cute. A embarrasses him and prompts him to tell you to drop it. B also embarrasses him as he says someone younger than him doesn't get to call him cute.

Anyways, Procy asks about you not being with the others and if you had something you wanted to talk with him about. You admit there is something on your mind, so he asks what it is. You ask him why he took Gomeisa in. Procy basically sighs again as he says he's not that much of a jerk to ignore someone lost on the side of the road. He just took Gomeisa in because he had nowhere else to go, and he prompts you to get going. You however stay and make a face at him, causing him to be a little defensive before he decides to talk more about it. Resigned, he puts down the cup he was wiping down and sits in a seat. It's nothing big, it's that Gomeisa reminded him of his old self so he couldn't leave him be. You ask more about that or think aloud about whether they do resemble each other. B has Procy getting annoyed by your doubts and calling you rude.

Either way, Procy clarifies that he isn't talking about their personalities, which he says they may well be opposites. He lost his innocence, became rebellious against everyone, and thought anything was justified if it was for his own life. He was forcibly taken away from his own old home, so he had always been looking for a place to return to, somewhere his heart could rely on. In his search, he met Huckle and Ryekie and a bunch of other heroes. He found his own place in life, but Gomeisa hadn't at the time he met him. Seeing him shiver in fear like so ended up reminding him of how he used to be. So, he tried to look cool and thought maybe he could give him that home.

Procy looks over to Gomeisa, who is smiling happily among all the others. He calls himself sentimental for having done all that he did, but he's adamant even now that it was never a mistake. You either call out Procy's name or call him kind or cool. B and C shocks Procy into saying he didn't say all that because he wanted someone to call him those things. He tells you to stop looking at him like that since it's creeping him out.

Procy declares that's the end of his past story and prompts you to go hang around with the others. You however point out that this party is meant to be for him, so it's not like you guys can have it without him. Procy says he'll be fine in some embarrassment as it suits his personality more to watch from afar than take part in festivities. Gomeisa walks over and says they can't have a party without the guest of honor and hugs him, causing Procy to react in surprise as he tells him to let go and stop holding him like a doll.

Kirsch agrees with Gomeisa and says she got a pudding cake for Procy. Procy is taken aback at one of his favorites being brought over for the party and says it must have been that one store owner who did it. Mokdai is a bit surprised to hear that Procy likes pudding, so Polaris Mask starts talking about how Procy is having some like all the time. He gets to talking about how Procy's always buying baked pudding from Kirsch's bakery when Procy starts pitching a fit, trying to prevent his image from breaking any further.

Gomeisa plops Procy right in the middle of the party, where the big pudding cake, a bunch of food and drinks, and the smiles of all his friends waiting to welcome him back are. Gomeisa signals to everyone else, and on his count everyone yells out welcome back. Procy still looks a bit dissatisfied at having to be at that spot, but he smiles nonetheless and says he's back. The End.
