Itzamna starts narrating, and he talks about how he always felt frustration when he looked at the people of El Dorado, who always looked up at the sun. He'd always yell at them to stop looking at it and to stop revering it. But to everyone else, it wasn't any different from 'pay attention to the sun.' As part of the world, Itzamna was only going in the Opposite Direction everyone's focus was going. It's impossible to control someone with your will, never mind a whole world. He was never able to weaken the sun's light, so what was he to do?
Itzamna says he always had the answer, which was to think outside the box. There are things you can know for the first time because you never knew them before. And there are things you can do for the first time because you never did them before. Itzamna then starts thinking about what you can learn only through failing that an all-knowing all-powerful god cannot. Maybe as you get old, the passion you once had fades away. But what if you can find meaning in even that?
Back to the present, Itzamna calls out to Ded. He thinks to himself that Ded's artifact does have the power to split open the giant piñata. The problem is what comes after that. Will the people of Tokyo believe that the piñata broke? If they don't, then the sun will revive and continue shining in the sky. In which case (as Itzamna starts saying out loud), even if the light doesn't fade away he can make people think it has. As an elder creator, he swears to show that color to everyone. He casts his NP again, commanding it to make things outside the sun even brighter.
Itzamna's art starts filling the sky, looking even more brilliant than the sun. Ded's artifact soon collides into the piñata, which makes all the artwork look even more colorful. The Purple Evil babbles and jumps out after that like a child reaching out to accept a present. The sun slowly starts losing its color like it's going through a gradation. The sun's light itself has not changed, but how does it look to the people looking up into the sky?
The answer is revealed quickly as the randos at the beach point up at the sky and say that the sun is getting dimmer. Narration compares it to the last burst of light from a candle before it burns out. Itzamna had made it look like the sun was going out by making it look relatively less bright than his artwork around it. The people looking up at this start believing that the sun is going to set, which in turn means night will be coming, which in then turns means that Christmas is coming.
It is now midnight of December 25, Christmas. The sun is now gone, and the moon's light shines upon all. A rainbow ring has come out of the piñata. Itzamna says that's the present that rightfully goes to the Evil, something that can't hurt anyone. He also adds with a laugh that it's his Christmas greeting to the young children.
Over to where the gang is, Touji is surprised by there being a rainbow in the sky at night and asks if that's even possible. Kengo calls that a dumb question since the rainbow is clearly there. He doesn't know why or anything, but he laughs and says it's a good sign. Durga thinks it looks great and points out that the rainbow looks brighter than the stars. Kyuuma is amazed as he calls this a Christmas miracle. Ashigara laughs and says this isn't something you see everyday. Ryouta says admiring it is fine, but he asks if everyone has their winter clothes since it's starting to snow. Shirou notes that with the unsetting sun gone, the weather has gone back to normal, and Durga is alarmed since she forgot and only has her jersey with her.
Andvari is checking his list of things to make sure all his regular Christmas decor and holiday business is on track, ordering things to switch tracks now that it's not summer in wintertime again. He laughs about this being his next big chance to make big bucks, then orders the beginning of the sales. Back to your end, Chouji is impressed with the beauty of what's happening, saying he's getting inspired for new sweets. Ziz you guys have special front row seats to the view and wonders if Behemoth is seeing this too. Then she wonders if he's waiting for Santa. Yasuyori comments on how pretty things are and is dismayed he doesn't have any better ways of saying it. White comments on how winter and summer and on how rainbows and nighttime are normally incompatible, but are here now. He adds that he'll probably never forget seeing this.
Itzamna is quiet, so White talks to him and asks what he thinks of the miracle you guys all achieved. There may have been failures and setbacks, but they still managed to get this. White says he hopes that one day, everyone can create a world where they can all live together and not in disharmony. He compares the rainbow in the sky to the colors of everyone's wishes, and he hopes that they won't be overshadowed by any one color in particular.
Itzamna agrees with Ded, looking deeply moved as he looks up at the rainbow and at the people also looking up at the Christmas miracle. White is surprised when Black starts pushing to switch places since this is a good spot, and Black forces his way through to tell him to stop standing there since the school and the students are waiting for them. Black then takes a moment to look for his/their phone since he's never worn this suit much, and he does so after a moment.
Scene shifts over to the Santa School a moment later as the PA system is announcing a scramble order, everybody get their asses out. Tanngrisnir urges everyone to get going. It's a little late, but Ded has pulled through and now's the time for the Santa Sendoff. He also prompts everyone to be orderly and safe, saying they can make up for a bit of tardiness.
In one of the classrooms, a bunch of rando Santa students have been looking for Yule, and once they do they tell him to come with them. Yule is surprised and asks if there's trouble as he refers to the randos as the ace senpai team. Narration explains the aces are the top of the class in school grades. Elite Mob Santa A tells him it's less a problem and more a chance as they tell him they're going to be flying out with Ded. Ded also told them to go get Yule, which Yule is surprised to hear about.
Elite Santa Girl C says there won't be another chance to fly out with a rainbow in the sky, so he should show his Santa spirit now. Santa Mob A says that when they were shocked by what happened before, it was Yule who tried to cheer them up. He also warns him that Ded's on the job directing is harsh, but they'll be there to help out too so he can relax a bit. Yule is moved by the offer, then says he'll go with them. Krampus takes the lead and tells the Santas and Black Santas it's time to go race across the rainbow and punish the naughty children. A couple of Black Santa students join him and cheer excitedly about punishing some kids for Ded too.
In the hallways, the Christmas Evils babble at Tomte, and Tomte is amazed as he watches the Santas roll out, saying he's looking forward to taking care of them when they come back. Tomte also refers to the Purple Evil as he talks to the Christmas Evils and says he's sure they did their best. The Christmas Evils babble some more, and Tomte is surprised when he notices someone pulling one of the sleighs. This turns out to be Tanngrisnir, who is mildly embarrassed at being caught. He couldn't sit still when he saw how the students were trying so hard, and he insists that his leg is totally okay only to fall over a second later. Tomte sympathizes, then offers to be the Santa to his reindeer. Tanngrisnir agrees, then says he'll show him the honor student even greater heights and a Yule Goat's real run. He prompts him to take his reins, and Tomte sets a course for the rainbow.
The Santa students all shout out Merry Christmas as they fly through the night sky, and the fragments of the sun piñata blow away, creating a road of light unattached to the rainbow or the aurora above. The Purple Evil excitedly chatters, and Ziz points out that there's a bunch of lights with the Santa School students. Chouji compares it to the pairing of a midsummer rainbow and Christmas, which is giving him even more ideas. Yasuyori turns to you and asks if it's fine to think of this as something you guys won. You say it's thanks to him, talk to Ziz and say you guys did it, or talk to Chouji and cheer.
Yasuyori thanks you and says he won't forget this view. Ziz laughs and tells Yasuyori that Christmas is only starting, and Chouji agrees as he asks you to help him in the kitchen since it'll get busy. Black suggests going to see what people've got, then says he'll be leaving. You ask in surprise about him going and ask if he's going to sleep again, so Black scoffs and says he's not back to normal yet. He also says giving presents is White's job, so he takes that moment to switch places with him.
White comes out looking surprised, sighing for a moment that he has nothing he can say on Black's way of celebrating, but he agrees to take up the present giving job Black gave him. White turns to you guys and refers to you guys as the distinguished assistants who helped take back Christmas as he says what he'll do until you guys land will be his present. He uses his magic to change the party's clothes to a more winter appropriate version that appears after a fleeting light.
White talks to you and Itzamna and asks you guys to go with him. Itzamna is surprised at the question, and once his outfit gets updated he laughs at being included and calls Ded a hard manager to be pushing someone so old like this. Ded laughs too and says that the rule when it comes to Santa Claus is that it's an old man with a white beard. Even if this stops being convention at some point, someone else can carry on being Santa and bring happiness. It might only be a one night miracle, but he'd like to see the future Santas off. You either agree and suggest to the teachers that you all go, ask if it's fine for you to go too, or call Itzamna grandpa and ask him to take your hand. In A, Itzamna agrees and asks you younglings to show him a future he's never see. In B, White says of course you can since you helped get Christmas back. In C, Itzamna is surprised at this but laughs and tells you to be easier on the elderly.
Time passes as White surfs and leads the party back to ground. Once you get down there, Ziz notices that snow is falling and laughs about it being a white Christmas. Itzamna is impressed with how the city is getting painted in white, then says he'd like to keep looking at the fantastical world that has a shining rainbow and falling snow. Itzamna slowly makes his way to a bench and sits down. You express concern for a second, then say you'll be going and will be back soon for him.
Itzamna responds by telling you to be careful, and White starts addressing the future Santas, telling them to hurry and deliver presents to the good children in the world. Black flips in to tell the Black Santas go give coal to the bad kids who aren't repenting. He doesn't care about how Christmas will change, and he has no plans on changing how naughty children are punished, so they better be ready for that! And so the other Santas start heading down over Tokyo at Ded's command.
Ziz says things are so beautiful that she doesn't have much left to say about it, but she does wonder if romantic would describe the scenery. Chouji mentions that the view is so nice, all he can think about is how he can express these feelings through food. Yasuyori says he wants to show the view to his school friends, then remembers he has a phone to take a picture and proceeds to do so. You either talk to Ziz and say this will be an unforgettable experience, say you're looking forward to Chouji's recipe, or say Yasuyori will get a good shot.
In A, Ziz nods and laughs, then says Behemoth probably won't believe her if she talked to him about it. But still she'd like to express how moved she is to someone since everyone worked so hard for this. In B, Chouji says he'll work hard so as to not disappoint, promising to express the motif with it. He's sure everyone will enjoy it once it's done, and he'd like for you to have the first taste. In C, Yasuyori thanks you and says he'll go surprise everyone. He then talks about not forgetting the prices paid for things that can't be taken back, which is how you guys got to this point. He now knows his happiness is being with you, and he hopes you'll keep commanding and encouraging him.
Itzamna talks to himself about how Christmas is a day where people hope for the happiness of others, and he talks about how he'll draw a picture where the dreams people see in a sunless night shine. He also plans to show the people of El Dorado that picture too and hopes something like this can happen back there. He happens to look in your direction at this point, and he starts doubting his eyes when he sees you. After another look he sadly calls you his brother Quetzalcoatl and says you were there all along. You've got a new body, but your smile is the same. It's the same one he saw when he woke up from his hibernation.
Itzamna smiles as a tear falls from his eyes from the traces he sees in you. This teardrop disappears into the snow, and after a moment he comments that he spent too long in memory lane. Sleepiness starts to take hold of him, and some shakes of his head is not enough to fend it off. Itzamna laughs and comments that it's still winter. His heart may be warm, but his body is cooling down. He thanks you guys, and he hopes that this all wasn't a dream. You notice that Itzamna is falling asleep as you call to him by name or as grandpa, and Itzamna slowly drifts off into slumber.
Some time later, Itzamna thinks to himself that he can hear a voice. You
are calling to him trying to wake him up, and once he gets up, Ziz is
relieved he finally opened his eyes. Her wings spread as if warming up.
Itzamna is slowly getting his bearing and asks in confusion about him
being awake still when it's still winter. When he moves, he notices that
he's in different clothes, and he comments on this since he says he
doesn't have clothes like them.
Yasuyori explains that you noticed that something was wrong with Itzamna, so you went back for him. Then the rest of you moved him over to the party hall you're all at now. Ziz adds that since Itzamna went into hibernation, they all started calling to him. Chouji tells him that Arachne sewed the clothes he's wearing now and offers him a warm drink, then asks if he can drink it.
Itzamna asks if you guys warmed him up, which then led to him recovering and waking up. He rubs his eyes as he thinks on the heat wrapping him again, then says he can feel the warmth everyone gave him. Ziz asks Itzamna if he's hungry, so he responds that he is after a second and says he'd be glad if he can have something. Chouji says okay, then the gang, the jocks, and the rest of the event party all say Merry Christmas.
Itzamna is surprised by this celebration, so Shirou thanks him for his work and says the Evils came back safely too. He also thanks the rest of the event cast too. Ryouta says this is also a celebration for getting Christmas back, explaining that everyone got together and talked about making it a party. Durga says there's lots of food available around and offers to get something for Itzamna. Kengo is pumped up about pigging out and says that's how Christmas parties have to be. Kyuuma is scandalized as he reminds Kengo he's talking to a teacher.
You tell Itzamna that everyone got the place together as a present for him. Itzamna says after a moment that he'll accept your offer and how happy he is to receive this present. Gunzou cheers and suggests making the party an exciting one. Ziz suggests singing a song, saying that as a music teacher she should do something relevant to music sometimes. Yasuyori laughs and decides he and Ashigara can sing a song together after her. Chouji says he'll be cooking up a storm, and he asks everyone to eat lots and enjoy it all. You cheer too and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Elsewhere White tells the good children to wait for him, and narration says the laughs of the people echo into the night. Bells ring in response as snow falls. A cold winter breeze blows through the city, and the warm smiles are as bright as the sun.
Back at the party, Itzamna starts talking to you and says he wants to ask you something. He backs off after a moment and waves it off as his imagination, saying he was reminded of his old treasured memories when he looked at you. He wishes for you to put together the future of the young the way you do, which is his only wish. He wishes you a Merry Christmas, and he hopes your future will be as bright as the sun.
Time passes to the next day at Some Hour of the day. Licht walks into the art classroom in the morning and greets people, then reacts in shock at seeing Itzamna there. Itzamna is unfazed as he greets Licht back and tells him he's doing well in this cold. Licht nods and says that while it is cold, he wanted to work on a painting he had started during the year. He also comments on it being unusual for Itzamna being around in the winter and says his winter clothes look great. Itzamna thanks him and says he has something he wants to paint, then invites Licht to paint next to him. Licht happily accepts his offer, and the two start working on their paintings as they talk inside the classroom. Itzamna thinks about next year's Christmas and decorating it with a more normal piñata, and his pitch black canvas is painted over with one vivid color after another. The End.
