Live A Hero Contract Entering Prologue: The Villain's New Life. Me, a Hero!?

Today is a day of peace and quiet and nobody has called Parallel Flight looking for help, so you and Mokdai are doing desk work at the office. Mokdai then says he's done with the video for fans he was working on. He did a lot of editing on it, so he hopes a lot of people see it. Mokdai then asks how your work is going, so you can say it's going okay aside from boring you, sat you're getting tired, or ask him to let you rub his belly because you're tired. A gets an extra line where Mokdai laughs and says you've always been working outside after you got hired here. C gets a different extra line where Mokdai is baffled at why those two things are being put in the same sentence and protests you've been rubbing before he's given an answer anyway.

But anyways, Mokdai mentions having been working for three hours now so he decides it's time for a break. Mokdai stretches and takes a deep breath when the bell at the door rings, prompting him to wonder who's come over. Huckle and Ryekie walk in, and Huckle greets you guys thanking you two for your work. Ryekie laughs, saying they're back and mentions that they've picked up a new case with no issues. Mokdai welcomes the two back and thanks them for their work in things, and then suddenly Gammei walks in to greet you two. You react by either being surprised at his presence, throwing yourself excitedly at him, or immediately yelling an apology at him. B gets an extra bit where Gammei is taken aback at how attached you are to him all of a sudden and tells you to let go. Huckle is scandalized as he tells you to stop that since Gammei isn't here for a social visit. C gets a different optional bit where Mokdai is shocked and asks what you did. Gammei in turn tells you not to apologize for no reason since it's creeping him out, then says he's not here because you guys did something.

In any case, Huckle mentions running into Gammei just in front of the office and says he usually comes to you guys for business stuff. Gammei elaborates that he has a little something he wants to discuss with you guys about, though he's not sure if it'll be done all that quick. He figures it'd be faster if the guy himself tells you what's up. Ryekie is curious about this and asks if the client is someone else since Gammei seems to be on his own.

The bell rings again at this point, so Gammei notes the convenient timing and asks Mokdai to let him in. Mokdai is surprised by this but agrees to do so. He heads over to the door with a confused look on his face, and once he does open the door he reacts in shock. A green wolf mob walks in, greeting you guys and saying he last saw you guys at the port warehouse. You react with shock, nonrecognition as you ask who he is, or start to remember what he means.

Green starts launching a Team Rocket speech like he did back in Chapter 2 and introduces himself as the Earth area branch leader of the Pan Cosmos Fluff Society. You react by recognizing him or not. In A, Mokdai remembers Green as that cat loving villain you guys met at the east port and asks why he's here. Ryekie is alarmed at the villain mention and asks if you two know the guy. Mokdai then tells him that you guys ran into Green while helping Gammei with his intel gathering work. In B, Mokdai still recognizes Green but doesn't bring up the port. Ryekie asks Mokdai about Green being a villain, so Mokdai says he saw him while helping Gammei with his work.

Either way Mokdai talks about running into Green and his gang secretly keeping alien cats that aren't allowed on Earth. Huckle is surprised at this and comments on that being what Green meant in his speech about them being slightly outside the law. Mokdai then remembers Green was supposed to have gone to the moon to stay with the cats and asks about that, so Gammei clears his throat and takes over with explaining.

Gammei starts talking about how Green and his gang did go move to the moon where they could keep the cats since there's less regulations against importing the cats. The thing is though that the cost of living up there is absurdly expensive. Clothes and shelter/rent isn't that different from Japan, but food is at least twice as costly. So while the cat lovers gang were happy to move to the moon, their bank accounts have been stretched thin. They haven't found any good jobs there either, so in desperation Green came crying to Gammei and bothered him for help, saying he wanted to work as a hero. Gammei then gives a heavy sigh, and you either ask in shock about a villain wanting to be a hero, ask in a more curious tone if this is a thing, or sympathize about how hard life is. A and B get an extra bit where Ryekie says it is surprising and mentions unregistered heroes are categorized the same as villains.

Green talks about how he's not as concerned about the cost of food for him and his friends/flunkies/I dunno than he is about the cost of pet food for all the cats. He swears that he won't let them go hungry, but he's running out of money to pay for their food. He's decided he'd turn a new leaf and work hard as part of the fuzz. Gammei then says that since Green has been involved in criminal activity, most agencies that take on contracts wouldn't see him. Hero agencies are businesses too after all, so they'd rather avoid taking in anyone with a record of misbehaving.

Huckle asks if that's what Gammei came to talk to you guys about, then comments Green must have made up his mind if he went to ask a law enforcer like Gammei for help. Green says he doesn't know any other heroes, so with no other ideas he went to ask the pig inspector for assistance. Gammei sighs that the police station isn't a job agency, but he does say that wanting to help people in trouble is human nature. Plus he's got his own perpetual money problems. His agency probably won't help though since it's a national administrative organization, so he came here since it'd be easier to talk and because you guys are always shorthanded.

Huckle talks about understanding why their office was chosen and does admit to needing more heroes, but he has his reservations about this idea. While he mulls it over in his head, Ryekie is excited at the idea of their being a new hero in the office. He laughs and says it should be fine since Green is reflecting on his mistakes and says he wants to fight for justice now. Ryekie loudly says they have no reason to reject someone who has the heart to bring about justice and supports hiring Green.

Huckle is taken aback and says that while Ryekie makes it sound easy, they're still a commercial business. And in a commercial business, they need to weigh the pros and cons for both the company and the individual. Ryekie argues that there definitely are pros to doing this. For them, they'll get a new hero, and for the mob, he can make some money. Ryekie also suggests that if Huckle isn't sure about doing this, they can start by hiring Green on a short term part time basis. That way they can test whether it'd be fine to give Green a hero license while he can earn some wages. Ryekie also figures this would make for some good motivation for Akashi and Mokdai and calls it killing three birds with one stone.

You express surprise at the idea of hiring a hero on a short term part time basis, nod, or comment that Ryekie is making sense for once. Mokdai thinks on the idea of working with a former villain and says he has some interest in that. Even if you take out the biggest differences between heroes and villains, Mokdai mentions that there'd still be differences in how they fight and thinks it'd be interesting to learn about.

Gammei comments that immediately throwing Green into battle sounds like something Ryekie would say, but he thinks it sounds like a good idea too. Green has experience as a villain but none as a hero, so it's a good chance to see how well he works out. Ryekie laughs and agrees, saying they should start sorting out a temporary license for him. Huckle attempts to stall out the suggestion of taking Green in right now, and he points out that while it is a good idea Green still lives on the moon and has no hero license. There's also a ton of paperwork involved with the work contract and license application too.

Mokdai then suggests making Green's hero work on the job as a declaration of intent to apply for the license. He can sign on as a contracted part time hero and be an on call member when you guys need him. Also, once Green has a license he can start looking for other work in the meantime, which will be convenient. Mokdai also points out that if Green is a part timer, he won't need to live on Earth to come to work so he can stay with the cats. Ryekie says hiring Green can help keep down expenses for business partnership jobs while getting another person to help with work. Calling him in when needed so that he can stay on the moon with the cats would be the most ideal solution for everyone!

Huckle is taken aback and argues that while that is all good they haven't really gotten Green's input in all this, and Huckle himself is feeling the pressure of everyone looking at him so hopefully. Green starts thinking Huckle is agreeing to take him on and starts cheering about this, saying if he becomes a hero he can handle the bills for the cats' food. He also seems surprised and pleased at the idea of becoming a hero as he laughs about it. Huckle attempts to interrupt and slow him down, but Green excitedly says he'll do his best in the job as he bows to everyone in the office. You either say you hope to work well with him in some surprise, wonder if this is fine, or insist that the new guy has to follow all your orders as senpai. C gets an extra line where Green is totally okay with this and says he'll follow any orders you give him Master.

Gammei is glad that things went so smoothly and decides it's time for him to peace out. Huckle protests this and tells him to wait since nothing's actually been settled, so Gammei asks if he can look Green in the face and say that. Huckle looks over to see Green all bright eyed and excited while Mokdai and Ryekie look motivated, and Gammei says Huckle can call him if Green starts acting too out of line. Huckle gives in and says he'll get started on that provisional license. The episode ends with him sighing as he puts a hand up to his head while the rest of the office starts getting rowdy.
