Mystic Christmas Episode 3 Part 2

Kalki starts things off with some untagged narration as he starts remembering the first time he met Shinya. When he first appeared in Tokyo, Kalki felt that the city mocked order and compared it to a mire of chaos. Because of that he decided to destroy the place, but Shinya stood against him with Cupid, albeit while trembling.

Kalki and Shinya skirmished several times until Kalki managed to corner Shinya. He said it was natural for that to happen, since he’s believed to be the one to destroy the world after all. Kalki also adds that his body is supposed to be strong enough to deflect swords and arrows.

Before Kalki could finish the fight, Cupid pulled out an arrow from ‘something’ in Shinya’s chest. Kalki was shocked by its light as he says it wasn’t really an arrow, but more something that existed before the creation of heaven and earth. It is a thing that pierce through any defense on a heart (re: area), a World System, the one thing that can overturn it. That world shattering power pierced through Kalki, and then he knew love.

Kalki’s introspective ends there as narration describes you guys moving from Shibuya to the sauna village Tomte has requested. In the sauna room, Tomte says the Crafters are still building the whole thing but the room you’re in is usable. Kalki is understandably baffled about being there.

Time skips a bit as Tomte enjoys the sauna while Kalki looks lost. You agree that the sauna feels great and can say as much to Kalki while pretending the decor outside does not exist. Kalki asks what you guys are trying to do as he looks out the window with a dumbfounded look on his face. Tomte explains that since the main program for the Christmas event is saunas, the place is being made so people can enjoy them as much as they want.

You either enthusiastically agree with Tomte, phone in the agreement as you say so to Kalki, and/or continue to pretend the outside does not exist. Kalki accepts the theme for the sake of argument for a sec to ask why it’s set up as a village. He doesn’t wait long for an answer before accusing you guys of being strange in the head regarding common sense and normality.

You wonder in resignation what normality is supposed to be as you take a look outside. Kalki goes on to talk about being born to bring order to the world and says he doesn’t really agree that Tokyo can be described as orderly. As he suggests destroying it, you either be alarmed and ask him to stop, flat out tell him no, or ask if he’s fine with everyone dying.

Kalki says he knows, which is why he’s worried. He knows that if he destroys Tokyo then Shinya will die, which would bother him. His few friends will die too. You question his phrasing about being bothered and ask if he can explain, or you can phrase it as asking him to blow it all out. Either way he agrees.

Kalki starts his explanation by saying he’s an avatara of destruction born to destroy his home world of Deva Loka. When you ask about either of those parts, Kalki explains that an avatara is  something made when a great existence splits off parts of its memories and role and sends it into the world to fulfill a goal of some kind. In Kalki’s case, he’s meant to use his power to destroy a world when it is filled with unnecessary things.

Tomte makes the comparison to a sauna and feels that job would be important. Kalki says he’s just supposed to use his power when that time comes and fulfill his role, so love is unnecessary to him. Or at least, it should have been. Shinya was the one to show him what it was.

You ask Kalki if he likes or loves Shinya. Kalki says when he asked Shinya that, Shinya told him it was something instilled into him so he should always question it. But anyways, he’s always carried the feelings with him.

Ryouta asks if Shinya’s arrows had that sort of power. You either ask if it’s the power to teach love or the power to charm others. Kalki says it’s close enough for now, and that if you have to know at some point, Shinya can tell you himself. Ryouta wonders if Cupid is Shinya’s familiar and says it’s cute like Shirou’s Evils.

Kalki has never seen an Evil before but says Cupid’s a Transient at least. He takes issue with it always sticking with Shinya as he calls it a little scoundrel. Kalki does know that Shinya’s life depends on Cupid being around though or else he’d have torn him away already. You ask about Cupid being indispensable to Shinya, so Kalki confirms this and calls it a safety valve.

Ryouta thinks that sounds kinda cool. Kalki finally decides to ask Ryouta why he’s there and mostly remembers his name. Ryouta says he was here the whole time but didn’t say anything since the topic was too hard for him to interject. Kalki is surprised before getting kind of angry, and Ryouta apologizes in case he wasn’t supposed to know any of this.

Tomte says he brought Ryouta along since Kalki said it was okay. Quick flashback pops up to the part where Tomte asked to call in some help where he mentioned both you and Ryouta. Kalki admits he’s right and decides Ryouta is some sort of fearsome figure if he never noticed him. Tomte compliments Ryouta’s sneaking abilities and says he could almost transfer schools with that skill level.

Kalki sighs about his surprise and decides to let Ryouta stay as a friend of a ‘friend’, calling it the magnanimity of a king he needs to display. Ryouta is happy about this and takes a spot next to you, then apologizes for derailing the conversation since he wanted to be seen as a friend too. You tell Ryouta there’s space by you, say you’ll gladly welcome him since it’s him, or quietly rub his belly.

Going A which presumably skips some extra things, Tomte asks if Kalki’s worrying over presents has anything to do with what he’s been talking about. Kalki jumps a little like he’s been shot and goes quiet. Tomte says it’s fine if Kalki can’t say so since that’s why he and the sauna are here. He then picks up his vihta branch bundle and starts whacking Kalki with them to help his blood flow.

While that’s happening, Tomte asks you and Ryouta to start throwing in more firewood. Ryouta complies, and Tomte notes that the sauna stone is getting hotter. He then says he’s gonna start pouring water on it to make steam. You either comment on the heat or say it feels like your fatigue is melting away. Tomte tells Kalki to let out all the sticky pent up stuff he doesn’t need in him, then declares it’s the start of a sauna battle. You either express shock at this or roll with it as the battle starts. More story happens afterwards.

After the battle the story picks up as Tomte whacks Kalki some more, prompting him to let it out as Kalki moans. When he starts to say something (which does sound a little suggestive of course), Kalki turns out to say no as he declares it to not be unnecessary and that he won’t get rid of it. Tomte is left baffled by this.

A flashback starts up to the day Daikanyama agreed to cohost the Santa School event. Shinya comes up to ask Kalki for some of his time. Kalki offers all of it to him, and Shinya responds in surprise that he doesn’t need that much. But anyways he came to ask him about his Christmas plans and brought some sweets.

Kalki comments that it looks elaborate and compares it to a log. Shinya explains that it’s a Yule log and that it’s a roll cake with chocolate on it. Kalki says it’s good and asks if Shinya’s gonna sell it in the cafe. Shinya answers that he is, then asks if Kalki can help. Kalki admits he wants to keep the cake for himself but figures that Shinya wouldn’t want that, then asks what it is Shinya needs.

Shinya asks if Kalki knows about the school cohosting thing. Kalki says he does, so Shinya goes on to ask if he knows he joined the organizing the committee. Kalki says that is news to him and asks if the cafe will be closed for the event. Shinya tells him it’ll be open at the event area as a temp shop. Shinya also came to ask if Kalki could be his salesperson there.

Kalki says he’s never done it before and has no interest in trying, but quickly backtracks when Shinya looks disappointed. He figures that Taromaiti wouldn’t be able to do everything on her own, but he also doesn’t think he could serve customers that well. Shinya says he wants Kalki to try and that he wants to see Kalki change.

Kalki says that’s unneeded for his role and mission, so he tells Shjnya to not look for that of him. Shinya concedes that Kalki’s role may not need it, but he asks what Kalki personally thinks. Kalki is surprised, and before he can really answer, Shinya talks about how he believes that living is about changing. People are born with things they don’t need, and as they carry it with them they change. Shinya says it might not happen with himself, but it might for Kalki.

Flashback ends as Kalki wonders how he can let go of something now and call something unneeded. Kalki talks about the present that Shinya gave him and the things asked of him as things he doesn’t want to cast away, and afterwards says he feels better now.

After a moment, Kalki says maybe saunas are good civilization as he starts smiling a bit. Tomte looks at him before asking what it means in concrete terms to change emotions. Kalki asks if he has to say it out loud since it’s hard to express for him.

Ryouta says if Kalki doesn’t say it, then he’s going to be up all night wondering what it is. Kalki says Ryouta being there is making it even harder to say it, but he decides to do so since breaking a promise would dishonor him. He then yells that he really really wants to make his love take physical form somehow. As Shinya has asked him to be Santa, Kalki wants to make a present that embodies his feelings. You comment on this being Kalki’s desire, or you can say you want to give him a present made of your love too.

Going A, Ryouta is scandalized as he wonders if Kalki is going to do things Ryouta doesn’t say out loud. He then figures he should be a bit more serious since that’s how Kalki ought to be feeling as he asks for confirmation. Kalki doesn’t really know what Ryouta is thinking as he asks if he knows a method.

Ryouta is confused, and Kalki repeats his question as he tries to make a show of humility in asking. Tomte asks as well since he’s curious for the sake of future reference. Ryouta tries to pass on answering. You either consider the question, be shocked as you ask Ryouta not to punt this to you, or ask Ryouta to explain what he was imagining earlier.

If you go with C, Ryouta eventually admits to thinking of something like a special kiss. He then notices you smiling at him and asks why since he’s super embarrassed. But in any case, Kalki mentions not having any ideas since he’s destruction embodied. He’s not supposed to be able to make someone happy even if he can turn them into little pieces. Whatever he picks will be unnecessary, so he asks you guys to pick for him.

Ryouta says he does have an idea if it comes to it. When Kalki asks, Ryouta backs off and gives up on it, looking to you as he asks if he doesn’t have to say it. You either say no to him, say you’re always made to pick, or smile and shake your head.

Ryouta brings himself to answer after you respond, then talks to Kalki about feeling the same as him a lot. He worries that what he does gets seen as annoying and going too far, that what he picks for someone doesn’t make them happy. But lately, Ryouta says he’s been able to think that it’d be okay anyways. He was just afraid of being hurt, not that he was afraid of hurting someone else.

Ryouta assures Kalki that he isn’t alone, then tells him he wants him to pick for himself while thinking of another. You sum it up for him as a suggestion that Kalki gives Shinya a present he thinks would make him happy. Tomte says that while Kalki can try giving a present as a Santa, he could also just do it as a friend. Ryouta suggests using hobbies for reference in picking a present, or else something that might look good when they wear it.

Kalki likes the idea, and Ryouta asks if Shinya has any other hobbies besides baking. Kalki mentions that he’s in the archery club, though he doesn’t know if it’s a hobby. Ryouta says that’s cool and wonders if it’s relatively calm for a martial sport. Kalki starts talking about watching Shinya at archery club and is about to describe how serious he looks before stopping himself there. He then wonders about getting Shinya some gloves.

You say it’s a great idea, which Kalki is relieved by. Tomte notes his worries seem cleared up and asks if Kalki can be a salesperson now. Kalki says he’ll do it and promises to be a good Santa. He then calls Tomte and Ryouta his new friends and thanks them. You ask about Kalki only thanking them and can fake cry at him. Kalki says he already thinks of you as his friend and that is okay for him to confide in you.

Tomte starts mulling on the idea that being able to rely on someone means that you can be honest with them. He flashes back to Krampus saying he wanted Tomte to rely on him since they were friends. After thinking some more he has a realization, then asks if he can count on you and Ryouta to handle things here. He says he has to go somewhere.

You wonder what’s up but agree. Scene shifts over to the Santa School as Yule asks Krampus to stop and asks how far he plans on going. Krampus says he’ll keep going until his head cools off, then says Yule should head back home first since he shouldn’t get sick before the big day. Yule says the same goes for him and that he can handle how cold it is at the moment.

Yule then asks if Krampus has calmed down a bit as he notes that it’s unusual for Krampus to yell outside work. Krampus is embarrassed about it being brought up, then starts talking about how Tomte is always doing things for them, so he ended up thinking they were friends. But since Tomte wouldn’t rely on him, Krampus started wondering if Tomte has no faith in him. He admits it was stupid of him since he doesn’t even know how Tomte feels.

Yule mentions that Tomte has helped him out a lot now that he’s thought about it. He’s done cleaning, laundry, cooking, and looking up where his presents need to go. Despite that, Yule knows nothing about him, and that he only learned that Tomte likes saunas that day.

Krampus agrees and says he’s not really angry, just irritated at himself. He worries that he’s hated, then starts wondering if his impressions were always one-sided. Tomte starts calling out to him, and Krampus says he can hear him in surprise.

Tomte shows up still in his sauna outfit, glad that he and Yule are still in the school area. He apologizes for being insensitive to have not noticed that Krampus thought of him as a friend. Krampus however is embarrassed that Tomte has been running around naked and tells him to put something on. Tomte brushes the outside temperature off and says he came to apologize, which further surprises Krampus.

Tomte admits that he’s afraid of getting closer with other people, though he doesn’t know why. He wants to rely on and believe in others, but whenever he tries, he starts avoiding it. He apologizes for that, then asks if Krampus will wait for him. He says that by being with you guys he’s starting to remember something. Once he does remember, he wants to start calling Krampus and Yule his friends again.

Krampus agrees to wait and apologizes for running off. He says he’s looking forward to when the time comes, and Tomte thanks him. The episode ends as Yule looks on silently.

Mystic Christmas Episode 3 Part 1

The day begins with Ryouta having a mild freak out about how cold it is that he can see his breath. He talks about how it feels like it’ll be Christmas soon and how cold his cheeks are. Then he comments that Tomte doesn’t seem to be here yet and that waiting for him at this time of day is hard. You also comment on Tomte not being there yet and then warn Ryouta that Santa is watching.

The wind blows, prompting more complaints about the cold from Ryouta. He mentions thinking you’d all leave right after Tomte turns up, but since he can’t hold it any longer he decides to give you something. You see it’s a choice of canned coffee or canned corn soup.

Ryouta says those are what’s best when it gets cold and presses you to pick one. He also asks you to just hold it for warmth and wait until Tomte is there to drink it. You either thank him, touch his cheeks, or put both your hands on his cheeks.

A skips a bit of extra dialogue. B has him ask what’s up and then say it’s natural his cheeks would be red in the cold. He notes with amusement that yours are too.

Anyways, Ryouta tells you he was so excited last night that he couldn’t sleep. He’s always excited when the gang comes together to work on one thing as he says this is your one chance at youth with everyone. High school life will be over before you know it, so you gotta make as many memories as you can through the year.

Tomte walks up like a normal person at this point as he apologizes for being late, comments on the weather, and thanks you guys for last night. You take note of his presence and greet him. Ryouta asks what he thought of Shirou’s curry hot pot. Tomte says it’s been a while since he had some good curry as well as eating with a bunch of other people.

Ryouta is surprised and asks about Tomte not eating with Yule and Krampus. Tomte says he feels like he should stick to the background. On that note you comment on him not suddenly revealing himself like before and ask if it’s fine for him to not sneak around. Tomte says he decided to try being less on guard and coming over today since he figures you guys wouldn’t betray him.

Ryouta of course takes note of this in surprise, and Tomte seems to have said so unconsciously since he’s surprised by it as well. He wonders if something like that happened to him before when his head hurts, prompting him to say this always happens when he tries to remember his past. Ryouta is highly concerned, and you worry for him as well and can possibly hold your arms out to hold him up.

Tomte says he’s okay and apologizes for worrying you guys. He admits that he was alert that time (though I’m not sure which time he means) wondering whether you’d really wait for him. He says it’s depressing to be betrayed, and when he starts talking about that happening in the past, his head hurts again as some image flashes in his mind.

Ryouta asks if Tomte is alright and says he looks pale. He repeats he’s fine and that it happens when he tries to remember his past. You stare at him and float the suggestion he ought to take a day off, though Tomte turns this idea down.

Anyways Tomte apologizes for causing you guys undue worry and comments he shouldn’t be doing so as a caretaker. He then remembers something and changes the subject by saying the place you’re visiting today is a place Ryouta would like. Either Chouji or some unnamed schmuck in Shinjuku’s cooking club asked him to take you guys there.

Ryouta is excited as he asks if it’s the same store Chouji mentioned as the one making the cake this year, and Tomte confirms it and says it’s called Cafe Asterism. Ryouta has heard of the place and has his mind blown at this revelation. You either try to get him to calm down or ask if the place is that famous.

Ryouta explains that the place recently reopened for business and used to always have lines that go out the door. He’s tried visiting several times but they’re always sold out of sweets before he can get any. Tomte says the proprietor also worries about all the orders the regulars keep making.

Ryouta mentions that he’s heard rumors that the place has crazy fans and wonders if it’s because of the sweets, so he’s excited to see. Tomte says the owner wants lots of people to try their food, and that they’ll be opening up a temp shop for the event. Since others are also going to be excited about it, Tomte hopes to tend to them all and make things a success. Ryouta then says it’s time to go.

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called The Space Between Destruction and Passion.

Scene then shifts to Shinya’s cafe as Krampus asks where to put some desk. Taromaiti asks him to put it in order with the other things. It doesn’t matter for the most part, and she says she’ll be adjusting things later. Krampus does so and says he’ll get the next desk then. Taromaiti thanks him for helping since his strength is coming in handy. Krampus says he worked out to better punish naughty kids so this isn’t a big deal to him.

Yule comes over and asks Taromaiti where he ought to put the ingredients for the sweets. She instructs him to take things to be refrigerated to the kitchen Shinya is in while everything else can go into storage. Yule acknowledges that and says he’ll make a list of what he’s brought in. Taromaiti thanks him and says he’s making the organizing go smoothly. Yule answers he and Krampus are used to moving lots of stuff around.

You walk in at this point and can talk to either Yule, Taromaiti, or Krampus. Going C, Krampus greets you back and asks if you came to help. Then he says he’ll carry something you seem to reach for since he says it’s heavy and doesn’t want you to get hurt.

In any case Ryouta says he’s here to help as one of the organizers, announcing his arrival as well as yours. Yule comments on how cheerful he is and how much more excited than usual he seems. Ryouta laughs and says he started drooling when he heard the event’s sweets would be coming from here. Taromaiti says Shinya would be happy to hear that as she greets you guys. She also mentions having heard about Tomte from Shinya.

Tomte greets her before asking if there’s anything he can do to help prep things. Taromaiti says things are fine now and that the crafters had built the store faster than expected. Yule and Krampus have been helping out a lot too. If there’s any sort of issue at all, Taromaiti says it would be that they may have an issue with their sales clerk. You comment on that not being her and ask who it is.

Shinya walks over and suggests everyone sit down for a bit and offers to put on some tea. You either react to him with some surprise or ask if the place is his. He then introduces himself as well as Cupid to everyone, then welcomes everyone to the establishment.

Some time later, Ryouta is loudly yelling about how great the food is, specifically a Yule log, a German fruit cake, some gingerbread, and some panettone. He then tells you he’s glad he joined the organizing committee.

Yule is taken aback as he tries to get Ryouta to slow down, feeling he’ll eat up everything before the event starts. Shinya says it’s fine since these are test runs, so it’d help if everyone ate a lot of it. Krampus relaxes at hearing that and says he’ll go ahead and eat then. Yule gives in and joins them as well.

Tomte tries to ask about the salesperson thing, and Taromaiti remembers after having been distracted by the Earl Grey tea Shinya put on for her. She then directs your attention to further into the shop for the salesperson to be. That turns out to be Kalki as he stares out the window and sighs.

You wonder whether Kalki was always like that, comment that he seems off, or say he seems moody. Taromaiti confirms that Kalki is acting strange, and Shinya tells you Kalki has been like that ever since he came in. When Shinya tried asking if he was okay, Kalki avoided him. Taromaiti adds that she feels let down after having clashed with him every day.

Ryouta focuses on the bit where Kalki changed all of a sudden before turning to Tomte. He wonders if it’s another possessor demon like Kengo and Shirou told him about. Krampus has no idea what he’s talking about, which Ryouta is surprised about since he was sure Tomte would have told him and Yule about things.

Ryouta attempts to dodge the subject, but Yule tickles him to get him to explain. Tomte asks Yule to stop since it was his own idea to keep it a secret. Krampus decides to leave the secret keeping for later and asks him to explain the demon and possessing thing. You give a summarized version or make Tomte do it.

Either way you all let Krampus and the others know what’s been happening. It goes from the investigation you’ve been doing to finding what looks like the culprit to the Evil having some sort of grudge against Santa. The explanation also includes the bit where saunas can make the Evil leave whoever it possesses. When it’s done, Krampus asks why they weren’t told earlier since he thought they were friends.

Tomte says he never originally planned to tell your gang either and that he prefers to have everyone have fun with helping set the event up. Krampus does say it’s been enjoyable but says that’s not the point. Since he thought they were all friends he wanted Tomte to rely on him too. Tomte apologizes for upsetting him but says he just wants to take care of others.

Krampus yells and asks Tomte is just acting like a good kid. He doesn’t understand what Krampus is getting at, and Krampus apologizes for yelling. Krampus then says he’ll go cool off his head and thanks Shinya for the sweets. You try to call after Krampus, and Yule says he’ll go after him.

After Yule takes off, Ryouta apologizes for opening his big mouth. Tomte says it’s not his fault and that he thought they’d find out at some point. Shinya says it looks like Krampus was mad at Tomte and expresses some envy about this. You can either ask Shinya about that or stay quiet, but either way Tomte mentions wanting to go after Krampus but decides the investigation takes priority.

So back on the subject of Kalki, Shinya says he thought it was very interesting how he had suddenly changed in personality. If it turns out that Kalki is possessed, then they’ll have to take him to a sauna like Tomte mentioned earlier.

Ryouta decides he’ll try to talk him into it, which turns out to involve introducing himself to Kalki and flat out inviting him to a sauna trip. Kalki doesn’t even take notice of him, so he gives up and says it might be too hard to talk him into joining someone he’s never met before. You try to cheer Ryouta up, comment on Kalki not noticing Ryouta at all, then ask who’s next.

Shinya volunteers to try next, partly as he feels it’s his job as manager to do so. When he tries to talk to Kalki, Kalki says he has a lot on his mind and asks to be left alone. Shinya actually attempts to persist and invites Kalki to a sauna trip, which shocks him into thinking this is some sort of thank you bonus thing. Kalki still turns down the offer though and says now’s not a good time no matter how many times he’ll ask.

Shinya comes back and apologizes for not managing to convince Kalki to go, commenting that his worries seem pretty ingrained. Taromaiti suggests she take a crack at it and make Kalki go by force. Shinya is a bit alarmed by that and says it’s probably a hard sell to try. Taromaiti agrees upon further reflection and says it’d cause lots of collateral if it goes badly.

Taromaiti also says trying to figure out what’s on Kalki’s mind would be key and wonders what he could be thinking about while dressed up. And since she brings it up, Shinya rememberers that Kalki started acting like so when he put the costume on. Taromaiti says Kalki’s always brooding about what Role he should fulfill, and you decide to latch onto the bit with Kalki worrying because of the costume.

Ryouta asks what you’re thinking of, so you wonder whether Kalki is worrying about stuff in regards to being like Santa. Tomte seems to understand something at that and starts coming up with an idea. You try to ask him to explain, though Tomte instead walks over to talk to Kalki.

Kalki notices Tomte approaching him and asks who he is. Tomte introduces himself as Santa’s helper, which Kalki seems curious about. Tomte then says that if Kalki is going to worry about stuff while in a Santa suit then he’s going to have to help out somehow. Kalki just brushes it off as a salesperson’s costume, but Tomte brings up that he’s heard Kalki takes things seriously in regards to roles.

Tomte then starts asking Kalki if he knows what the true nature of Santa Claus is before answering that Santa is a giver of happiness. He also adds that to do that effectively, Santa needs skills in observation and analysis. Those are needed to know what children want after all.

Kalki seems a bit annoyed as he asks what Tomte’s point is, so Tomte starts deducing and yelling out loud that between the prep being done and Kalki’s constant sighing, he must be brooding about what sort of present to give. Kalki stops him from saying it all though and asks him to keep it down.

Tomte seems amused as he figures Kalki doesn’t want someone there to hear about him worrying about presents. Kalki in turn is shocked that Tomte hasn’t lowered his voice much if at all, asking if Tomte came to mock the avatara of destruction and king of Deva Loka. Tomte denies that and says it’s his Role to look after Santa. And since Kalki is dressed up as Santa in a shop that’s helping with the Christmas event, Tomte wants to look after him and help. Kalki gives in at that.

Tomte then asks if Kalki’s worries can be put to rest somehow since he’s apparently the only salesperson for the store. Kalki says he wouldn’t be so bothered if it were so easy, then says he’s lost for present ideas. He doesn’t know anything about presents or love after all.

Kalki notes that Tomte seems knowledgeable about Santa and wonders if this is some kind of fate to be meeting him like this. He then decides to royally command Tomte to help him. Tomte says he unfortunately knows nothing about love or even making friends, so he might not be that helpful.

Kalki starts worrying even more about what to do, so Tomte asks if he can call in some help. He’s pretty sure you and Ryouta can figure something out. Upon hearing your name brought up, Kalki mentions that Aizen told him something about you once. Specifically he heard that you are a something singularity that has connections to many people. Aizen started screaming incoherently after that, so Kalki doesn’t know anything else.

Tomte interprets that to mean you’ve got good socialization skills and notes that you do have lots of friends. Kalki agrees to let Tomte call you guys over but says he doesn’t want Shinya knowing the main point. Tomte suggests you all go to the sauna village to talk more.

As Kalki and Tomte come over, you take note of this and wonder if their conversation is done. They did lower their voices at some point so you couldn’t hear much, though you did feel like you caught Aizen’s name. But anyways Kalki proceeds to royally command you to join him in the sauna. Taromaiti is surprised by how condescending he’s acting right off the bat, scolding him for behaving like that and telling you that you can say no.

Shinya says it looks like Tomte made some efforts in this, then asks you to help Kalki. You either put on a stuffy king’s speech patterns as you tell Shinya to leave it to you, speak casually and tell Taromaiti it’s okay and thank her, or think to yourself that this is your chance to get closer to Kalki. Either way, the episode ends as Kalki orders you guys to lead the way.

Mystic Christmas Episode 2 Part 3

Things pick up midfight as Macan asks if that’s all Sitri has. He’s having fun with it all and all the attention is on him, which Sitri takes advantage of when the time comes. He signals to you, and you toss him up as best as you can while keeping hidden by the cape.

Snow apologizes to Claude as he says he has to block his view for a sec. Back to your side of things, Sitri commands his feathers to rain down everywhere in the area as he casts his NP. The spectators are wondering what’s going on until the effects kick in, at which point they all start proclaiming their love for Macan and mob him since he’s the first thing they all saw.

Macan thinks he’s just being bum rushed and challenges the mobs to all come at him. Now that there’s a big melee happening, you move on to the next phase as you tell Sitri you’re going for Claude. As you head for him, you wonder if things are working on him too but keep going with it as you throw off the cape as you stand in front of him.

Claude is happy to see you as he calls you his iron blooded warrior, then starts wondering what it is he’s feeling inside himself. After that he laughs and thinks this is you coming to get him as his lovely bridegroom. Claude tells you to make off with him by force, and you can do so by leading him to the outside, grabbing him by the hand, or straight up picking him up and going.

Going B, Claude comments that from the looks of it, you guys are just holding hands. Still, he finds it new and exciting doing it down there and follows along. In any case, when you get outside the arena entrance, in front of the giant theater is a big eye catching truck. Tomte is there directing Takemaru as he backs up into position in the parking lot.

Sitri is amazed and asks what that is, and you either share the same sentiment and/or ask Tomte if that’s a sauna too. He laughs about surprising you guys before explaining it’s a special niche sauna. It’s meant for the crowds who want to go to a sauna after work or club activities, a mobile sauna for places that don’t have one handy nearby.

Tomte comments that it would have been great if he drove it over himself, and Kengo is surprised Tomte has a license. From what I’ve heard Japan requires people to be 18 to get a driver’s license, though I dunno if that’s still true. But anyways Tomte says he thought it might be needed for behind the scene work, so he had to call Takemaru to bring it. You decide to enter and bring Claude with you.

A little time later, Kengo comments on the mobile sauna being a lot bigger than he was guessing it’d be as he stretches out. Snow is noted to be tending to Claude as usual, bringing him a drink and asking if he wants anything else. Sitri also comments on how being able to stretch your arms and legs out is good for feeling better.

Kengo makes an observation about Sitri getting buff, though Sitri says he’s not that far along and says Kengo is super buff as usual. Kengo says it comes from practice and that experience leads to muscle. You either comment that saunas feel great after wiping the sweat off, tell Sitri he did great, or say you like Sitri.

Going C, it takes Sitri a moment to process that with some disbelief. He reminds himself that he should be more stoic if he wants to be a badass, then asks you to wait until after Christmas before he gives you a response to that, swearing to give a real tough guy answer.

Takemaru walks in and asks how the temp is, suggesting that people move to the lower bench if it’s too hot. Kengo comments on how ripped he is while calling him an old man and not just a random carpenter. Takemaru is taken aback to be referred to as old as he says he’s a college student still, but Kengo interrupts to ask why he threw away his swords.

Kengo says the calluses on Takemaru’s hands look like Touji’s, which is why he figures Takemaru is a sword master. Takemaru comments on how sharp he is and says it’s an old story. While he may take up building tools now, he did use swords for a long time.

Takemaru says he gave them up for someone he fell in love with. He was dumped in the end though. But anyways, he’s now concentrating on training to make his ideal home that he can live in happily with his new bride when he gets one.

Takemaru then sighs about how nice it’d be to have a sauna in his dream home. Tomte decides to ask him if he still feels like looking for love after getting dumped. Takemaru says he sort of does and admits there was a time when he started hating humans. It’s different now that he’s finally understood something. Tomte asks him what that is, so Takemaru answers that he realized what he really hated was himself for not finishing what he wanted to do.

Snow asks Claude if he wants to adjust the temperature of the sauna, though Claude starts yelling that something hot is coming from within himself. Snow is surprised while Tomte says it’s about time for the thing to show up. The Evil pops out with another yell from Claude as it babbles about how nice the sauna felt and thanking you guys. It then fades away into Tomte’s pad as if being absorbed by it. Tomte is surprised it activated on its own since he’s supposed to be the only one able to make it work.

A memory playback starts up with the narrator talking about how crazy it seems to manage a farm in Tokyo, especially with how the old couple won’t hire any farmhands. The wife says it started as a hobby that they didn’t expect to turn out like this. Her husband is a bit bothered by it too. She then mentions that there are cows in the barn.

The narrator is shocked by this and asks whether the farm is a ranch now. The lady says she just had to buy cows when she heard that the narrator liked milk porridge. They shrug in response and comment that fresh milk in porridge is really amazing. Then they ask how the husband is doing.

The wife says she and her husband are old now, and that it’s okay for the narrator to go play and not worry about them. They turn the suggestion down and offer to handle all the farm work as they say they helped on farms before coming to Tokyo. The wife decides to accept the offer then and counteroffers to make their favorite for dinner. Narrator of course asks for lots of milk porridge as the flashback ends.

You ask about this memory being from the second Evil and comment about it being fragmented. Tomte figures it’s the same as the other one and mentions it doesn’t seem like the first one ran out from his pad. He wonders if that means there’s multiple Evils running around or some sort of source of them.

Anyways, Tomte asks Kengo to give something to Shirou figuring he can best tell everyone about what’s happening. Kengo agrees but asks why Tomte isn’t going to hand it off himself. He answers after a moment that he doesn’t want to get in the way of your current social circle, but Kengo says it’s fine since he’s already friends with you all.

Tomte cries a little at that, though he refers to it as loyly coming from his eyes. Kengo is shocked by this since it makes it look like he’s bullying him. Claude starts waking up, mentioning he feels like he was dreaming before asking why is he in a sauna. You back out of trying to explain and/or say you aren’t confident you can lay it out for Claude to understand.

Snow says he’ll tell Claude what happened, and after a quick time skip, Claude accepts it and says he caused Sitri some trouble. Sitri brushes it off as something minor and that everyone is to thank for bringing Claude back to his normal self.

Claude says he’ll pay everyone back for today at some point. Tomte asks whether he’s still going to help with the event or back out like he said when he was possessed. Claude answers that he’ll help since he needs to reward the Berserkers as appropriate.

You then decide to ask why Claude ever thought about backing out of cohosting. He says he doesn’t remember much about what happened during his possession, but he did have a thought that kept echoing in his head then. He describes it as sounding full of wrath and spewing a curse, and it said that Santa’s image should be erased from the world.

Takemaru comments that a thought that angry sounds like it came from really sad circumstances. You ask if Santa disappearing is even possible. Takemaru asks if Santa exists in your world and says it might sound discomforting if he does.

Takemaru says there are worlds where Santa doesn’t exist. The reason why Santa is here in this one is a bit like Setsubun and oni, in that people in this world believes it works like so. He then describes the classic image of Santa. Tomte agrees with Takemaru as he says that if that belief disappears, so does Santa. This would also take away Tomte’s home, so he can’t have that happening.

Tomte says he’ll inform Ded about what’s happened today and says he’ll call about the collaboration work later. Snow says he understands and that he’ll be in charge of preparing things. He also whispers to Sitri that the money will be forwarded to his account, so he can relax. Sitri is happy about this as his Christmas stuff will be ready and excuses himself early.

Kengo suggests you guys should head back at this point too or else Shirou will be nagging about curfew. You agree as you say bye to Claude and Snow. Claude tells you to be safe on your way home.

The camera lingers on him as you leave, and Claude asks if Snow can remember what Santa looks like. Snow says he does since he talked to him the other day, then asks what’s wrong. Claude says he’s known what Santa looks like when he was young but says he’s having trouble remembering now.

Time skips to where you guys return to Shinjuku. Tomte comments on how much went on during the day and asks if you have anything you want him to take care of for you. Kengo refuses to let Tomte near his laundry before saying that’s not what friends do anyways.

Before Tomte can say much on this, Ryouta runs up and grabs him by the arm. Ryouta says he’s not letting him go this time as he invites Tomte to join you guys for hot pot. Shirou apologizes for this and says Ryouta really really wanted Tomte to join them for dinner. Touji adds that’s just how Ryouta is.

Ryouta protests being described in those words and asks if they all hate him. Moritaka laughs as he says he also wants to talk with Tomte. Tomte turns to you, so you suggest he joins you guys and eat. He relents and says it’s okay for a meal at least. When you look away he looks sad. He wonders why he doesn’t feel a connection despite this supposedly being a happy occurrence, and the episode ends.

Mystic Christmas Episode 2 Part 2

We continue right from where we left off with Snow saying Sitri is set up to fight against Macan in his next match. You either gulp or stay quiet, and Sitri asks with some alarm if Macan is that bad since everyone went quiet. You tell him he’s strong or crazy wild.

Kengo tries to bluster that Macan is *only* the the person who won the most fights down there, and you say Macan has a problematic power and tell Sitri to do his best since he’ll end up eaten. Kengo says Macan is kinda overpowered for being able to heal up in an instant. Sitri calls hax and wonders how he’s supposed to win. He also asks what this eating business is since it’s supposed to be a fight.

Scene shifts out to the hallways where Macan sneezes. Nomad comments that the sneeze was actually really cute before asking if Macan caught a cold. Macan brags that he’s not the kind to get sick that easily and figures someone is talking about him as per superstition. He actually likes it and wonders if someone is trying to figure out how to eat him.

Nomad comments that he can’t imagine anyone would want to ally with a pain in the ass like Macan. He also points out that no one’s challenged Macan to a fight in a while, but that aside he doubts there’s anyone who’d want to have the battle Macan wants.

Macan complains about Nomad raining on his parade and wanting to get a bit excited about it. He then suggests they have it out and try to eat each other since Nomad apparently seems bored. Nomad complains that Macan shouldn’t invite someone to a fight like he’s inviting them to lunch. Macan however sees it as just a form of socializing between guys of the same background. Nomad has to remind himself he’s there on business to distract himself from what Macan said.

Back at your side of things, Sitri comments on hearing a scream from outside somewhere and wonders if it’s okay to not check it out. Snow says it’s probably from Nomad getting bothered by Macan. It’s a daily thing, so he doesn’t need to worry. Sitri tries to pretend it isn’t a big deal and that a tough guy like him isn’t scared.

Snow moves on and says he’ll both explain the rules of the ranker battles as well as why he asked Sitri to come over. So while the preliminaries allowed artifacts and weapons, the main battles are even less restricted anything goes death matches. They’re normally set up against people of the same relative level so as not to be one-sided, but this time Sitri by all appearances is being sent to be dead meat.

Sitri is anxious but tries to be brave since he feels a badass shouldn’t give up before doing anything. He has something he needs to do so he can’t let himself lose there. Kengo approves but teases Sitri about being a little squirt. Sitri is embarrassed in turn as he asks Kengo to not say that since he’s trying hard for his sake.

Snow laughs about how recklessness can look like courage while retreating can be even more so. Sitri asks what Snow is talking about and if Snow is saying he’s preventing the battle. Snow apologizes for not providing enough information and says he wants to ask Sitri a favor.

The Analyst starts playing as Snow walks over to Sitri and starts whispering to him. He asks if Sitri really is just around for money despite claiming to be in training. Sitri is surprised he knows and asks him to keep it secret. Snow then says he has a mutually beneficial proposal.

Sitri says he needs to hear what the job is before he’ll agree to it since his sister warned him to not take part of any shady sales and solicitations. You ask about this job they’re taking about, and Tomte guesses it has to do with Claude. He then asks if there’s a special reason to be asking Sitri for help.

Snow says he heard some stuff about Sitri’s artifact by chance and wanted to borrow its power. You either recognize it as that one thing from Valentine’s or ask about the necessity of Sitri’s artifact. Sitri starts protesting since he’s not sure he can trust Tomte with knowing how his artifact works. If word gets out publicly his mom will get pissed.

You vouch for Tomte as someone trustworthy and a friend, so Sitri relents. He apologizes for doubting Tomte and asks that he keep his powers secret. Tomte is quiet and turns out to be crying, which flusters Sitri. Tomte however says it’s not because of Sitri but because what you said stuck with him. He introduces himself to Sitri and says he’s becoming friends with you.

Sitri asks Tomte if he’s a huge badass, but Tomte doesn’t hear him. Sitri claims it’s nothing and introduces himself back to him. Back to the main conversation, Sitri asks which part of his power is being asked for. You ask what he means, so Sitri explains he has both the power to make someone speak the truth and the power to tie the strings of love. You then either remember this is a thing with him, be surprised at this, or ask if he has two rules.

If you go with C, Sitri clarifies it’s all under one heading. But anyways Snow says he wants Sitri to use his truth ability to check if Claude is in his right mind. He also mentions having heard that Sitri is acquainted with you guys on the Santa event organizers. You either say Snow is frightening or say you can figure out one of his information sources.

Going B if it matters, Bathym’s silhouette is flashed for a sec as Snow laughs and says your guess is probably right. Snow then asks Tomte to do his purification thing if it turns out Claude really is possessed, just like you guys did at Kamata. You either nod as you understand the main plan or be shocked Snow knows about that too.

Sitri is a bit alarmed as he asks if Tomte can exorcise demons since that would make him his natural enemy. Tomte clarifies that exorcism isn’t some power he has but the sauna doing its thing of making bad things go away. Sitri then says he’s never heard of a demon that can be exorcised by a sauna and comments how big the world is. You agree but wonder if it really is a demon or even something bad.

Sitri only sort of hears you, but you brush it off so he leaves it be. Kengo then points out that if Claude really is possessed, the Berserkers don’t have a sauna down there. Snow confirms that there’s no sauna yet even if they do have a big bath room. He says he can arrange for something though.

Kengo says this should be easy and figures you guys can just tie Claude up and toss him in after you find out what’s up. You however point out that this would be dangerous and might count as kidnapping.

Kengo laughs and for reasons I’m probably missing says even toothpicks are necessary. He picks up on bloodlust and manages to fend off an attack from Snow who tells him Claude can’t take a beating like Kengo can. Snow then asks for an alternative plan. Kengo protests that Snow could have just skipped to saying so and would have been done in if he weren’t used to Shirou hitting him. Sitri however is impressed that Kengo blocked the strike and says he’ll need to be that good too.

Sitri then has an idea that he whispers. Snow thinks it’s great, though Sitri asks if it’s okay to go with it since it’s going to cause a huge scene. Snow assures him the Berserkers love a big scene and that they don’t need any half clever dunces around.

Time skips a bit as Snow goes over to Claude’s office and apologizes for being late. Claude is surprised to be waiting and figures Snow must have had a lot of work to do. Snow claims to have sent you guys back like Claude wanted, so Claude nods at that and mentions not feeling the holiday mood this time. Snow tries to ask Claude to explain that, but Claude refuses to do so.

Claude changes the subject to say the battle between the felines should be starting soon and that he can’t wait for it. Snow is baffled that’s Claude’s only reason for setting the match up like so and compares it to something a kid would come up with. Claude pushes forward and tells Snow to come with him to the front seats. Before they do go, Snow spares a thought about hoping you and Sitri can make the plan work.

Scene shifts over to the arena as Macan laughs about waiting for this battle. Narration says Claude is sitting behind him. Macan then asks if Sitri is afraid since he’s stumbling around and hopes this match is fun at least. Sitri turns out to be in a Santa costume as he tries to say he’s not scared while trying to give you directions. You struggle to keep up since you’re hiding in the cape on the costume.

Claude asks why Sitri is dressed up, so Snow tells him Sitri wanted to dress that way since it’s almost Christmas out there. He also thinks to himself that this is the only costume they had around that could hide you. Sitri actually does start getting cold feet standing against Macan, so you can either hold his hand or give him a pat on the back.

Going A, Sitri is embarrassed as he accuses you of taking advantage of the situation. He also says you taking his hand like that will make him even more nervous since it was shaking already. When you point out he’s stopped shaking he tries to say that’s not the point. Anyways he says his heart is still pounding but is ready to start the plan.

Sitri pulls out his wings and sneaks out a few feathers out of the ring. As they float around, one flies in from Claude’s blind spot to stick itself into his back. Snow takes that moment to ask Claude one more time to explain himself. Claude refuses as he lapses into adding some baby lisps, which he only sort of notices after the fact.

Snow however notices right away, saying he understands and that he was right all along. Snow then signals you two to move on to the next step. You say you got it and tell Sitri it’s time, and Macan tells you to come at him as the episode battle starts.

Mystic Christmas Episode 2 Part 1

Kengo starts things off by greeting us and commenting on us being late. You greet him back and tell him he forgot something, which turns out to be his jacket. Kengo says it isn’t quite so cold yet, so you either bug him to put it on or else he’ll catch a cold, or you can try to put it on him yourself.

Going B, Kengo laughs at how fussy you are and says he never gets colds. But seeing as you brought the thing anyways he may as well put it on. After he does so he realizes he feels someone looking at him, and Tomte turns out to be standing behind him. When asked how long he was there for, Tomte is more preoccupied with taking notes about caring for other people. He also comments that it would be worth it to look after Kengo and says he knows how you feel.

Kengo takes offense at being treated like some sort of kid, so Tomte clarifies he means it as worth knowing so he can tend to other nervous animals. Kengo is shocked to be compared to a dumb dog instead and protests further. Tomte is a little saddened he made Kengo mad since he was trying to compliment him.

You step in to change the subject by asking where you guys are going today. Tomte remembers that’s the main thing for the day and says you guys are going to one of the cohosting schools, Bukuro Academy. Kengo is surprised they’re helping and starts asking about who you’re all meeting, so Tomte confirms it’s Claude as he talks about how famous he is among app users.

Kengo questions whether the Berserkers can actually help prepare the program, and you can either shoot him some side eye or not say anything. Going A, Kengo is baffled by your actions and asks you why you’re doing so. But anyways Kengo says he’s no good with delicate stuff but can at least carry stuff.

Tomte brings things back to the matter at hand by explaining that the organizers from Bukuro are meant to carry materials and act as sauna staff on the big day. But for some reason, Claude has suddenly said he wants to withdraw his attendance for the event. Tomte says that he will be going over today to find out the truth.

Kengo wonders whether Claude is just being fickle but notes he isn’t the type to change his mind so quickly after declaring something beforehand. Tomte mentions the change in behavior has everyone at the Santa School concerned too. You suggest something may have happened, suggest heading over now, or think about the sudden change.

Kengo agrees with setting out and needs a moment to remember Tomte’s name before saying he can handle any rough work because that’s all he’s good at. Tomte decides to tell you guys to rely him to take care of things in response, then you guys go.

Camera switches over to the Ikebukuro Underground, which narration says is heating up with excitement. Cheers and heckling are thrown all around as spectators are focused on the ring, and some wolf mob tries to finish the match with what he calls his secret paw pad stamp. He’s fighting Sitri, who says it’s a neat move but won’t land on him after all his training.

The mob is surprised Sitri stopped his attack, and Sitri follows up with his counterattack with his feathers to pin his opponent down by his clothes. Taurus Mask acts as commentator, and the match is declared with Sitri as the winner.

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Santa Claus’s Image.

Camera then tunes back in with Sitri in a locker room as he relaxes about having made it through the final selection from that match, commenting that it was easier than he expected. He wonders if his training is bearing out and is pleased with himself for getting a step closer to being a badass. If he has any foreseeable problems, it’s that he’s unsure he’ll be done in time for Christmas. More fights equals more winnings, but how many would it take?

Ikutoshi walks in and starts talking to Sitri by asking if he’s a middle schooler. Sitri is surprised by him and asks who he is. Ikutoshi declines to give his name but calls himself an opponent he’ll be going against if Sitri stays and wins. But that aside Ikutoshi says he came to give Sitri advice.

Ikutoshi says that if Sitri is in it for the money, he’d be better off not continuing up the ranks. Sitri thinks Ikutoshi is being smug for someone in the same age group as him, so Ikutoshi sighs that he’ll go down fast if he judges on appearances and points out that Sitri didn’t notice him coming in. Sitri admits the point but says he’s getting pissed with Ikutoshi’s phrasing.

Ikutoshi briefly notes the phrasing bit before saying that Sitri may have talent but is too inexperienced with real fights. Sitri angrily says Ikutoshi isn’t changing the way he’s speaking and that the truth can hurt. Ikutoshi shrugs it off having made his point. He almost comments on Claude’s behavior before deciding not to bother.

Ikutoshi then remembers he has one other thing he needed to say, which is that Snow wants Sitri to talk to him since his next opponent has been selected. He just needs to see him before going home. Sitri asks if Snow is the manager of the arena, though Ikutoshi cuts the conversation there and leaves. Despite his irritation, Sitri thinks Ikutoshi coming and going without giving his name was kinda cool.

Out in the hallway, Bathym welcomes Ikutoshi back and asks how it went. Ikutoshi just seems done with it all and says Bathym should just talk to Sitri directly next time. Bathym says he can’t because Sitri’s avoiding him. Plus, if it really turns into a fight, Bathym can’t win.

Ikutoshi is surprised as he says he doesn’t think Sitri is that strong. Bathym clarifies that it’s not a matter of strength and more that he doesn’t Get to Win. Ikutoshi still doesn’t understand, so Bathym adds that Sitri’s hostile towards him because of his teasing ever since Bathym changed his diapers. Ikutoshi says that’s his fault but shrugs as he did as he asked. He then reminds Bathym that he promised to teach Ikutoshi a new kick move.

Bathym comments on how serious Ikutoshi is despite it nearly being Christmas, but Ikutoshi says it’s because of the season that he is. He has to beat Santa this year. Anyways, since it seems like things are done for him, Ikutoshi excuses himself for the day and goes. Bathym promises to keep his word.

Bathym talks to himself about watching what Sitri, #12 on the hierarchy, will do now with the advice given. He also says he’ll need to set the cameras up quickly so he can have something to dangle in front of Sitri’s dad, who he describes as an adoring parent.

Scene shifts to the outside of the Berserkers guild as Garm is growling at Kengo. Kengo comments on his mild consternation about this happening again and about Garm always treating him specifically this way. Garm says he hates how he smells but likes how you smell.

Tomte slides up to Garm to pet him, saying he’s a smart boy as he comments on him liking you. Garm sniffs him and bounces around before saying Tomte vaguely smells of the underworld. You ask about that to Garm or Tomte.

Going A, Garm says it’s familiar as he asks if Tomte lived in the underworld once. Tomte says he doesn’t remember much of his past, and Garm commiserates since all he can remember of his old master is their scent. Tomte starts patting Garm, who is pleased by this as he tells him to keep doing it. You either prompt Tomte to pet Garm more, join in yourself, or give a lot of pets and rubs.

Going B, Garm is happy as he says he likes you and tells Tomte to keep going. Tomte obliges as he asks if he can call Garm by name. Garm agrees, saying he’ll call Tomte by name too and saying they’re friends. Tomte then asks if Kengo did anything to make Garm hate him. Kengo says he didn’t do anything and that Garm keeps saying he smells like the Aesir.

Tomte seems to find that important and asks Kengo for a big favor. Kengo is surprised by his sudden shift in behavior and asks what it is. Tomte says scents are very important to animals and plants, so if he ever gets the chance he’d like to wash Kengo’s laundry.

Kengo protests he doesn’t smell, so Tomte shrugs and says if he washed them he could remove all the scents in his clothes. You can either ask Tomte to wash yours too or deny Tomte because you’re already washing Kengo’s clothes.

Going A, Tomte is happy about that. Kengo forces the subject to change and demands Tomte tell Garm their business already. Tomte remembers that’s what they’re supposed to be here for and asks if Garm will let you guys in. Garm is unhappy to tell you he can’t because he’s under orders. You find this strange and ask if it’s not just Kengo or if Garm can explain the order.

Going C, Garm says he can’t tell you because Claude will get mad at him. Kengo thinks that’s weird before suggesting to you that you guys just force your way in. Snow comes over to dissuade that notion and says it isn’t Garm’s fault. Garm runs over to ask Snow for praise for doing his job, so Snow says he’s a good boy.

Anyways, Snow says he’ll lead you guys in since it’s a bit conspicuous to be talking outside. Kengo thinks it’s suspicious and suggests it’s a trap as he asks for your opinion. Tomte says it’s fine with him if you guys decide to wait outside, but he’s going in because of his work and for Ded’s sake. You decide to go in and say so to either Tomte or Kengo.

Going B, Kengo shrugs and half remembers an expression about risk taking as he says he’ll go with you. Either way time skips a moment as Snow takes you guys to a room that isn’t under surveillance so you guys can speak freely. He says tea will be ready soon, so he asks you guys to take a seat.

Shortly afterwards he sets out tea and snacks for everyone, and narration mentions the sweet milk tea scent tickles the nose. Tomte says it looks great and asks Snow to teach him how he makes it sometime since he’d like to make it for Ded. Snow thanks him for the compliment but sets the subject aside for more important matters. Tomte asks if that’s related to the Berserkers pulling out of the event.

Snow says he thinks so too as he tells you guys that Claude seems different lately. He’s not supposed to be the type to back out of cohosting something he agreed to before. Claude also has lately taken to meddling with the fight brackets. Kengo points out that has happened before for the sake of making things more exciting. Snow admits it, but also says that the meddling itself is strange.

When asked about that, Snow says that at the end of the day, what Claude wants is to watch a magnificent battle between the strong. Because of that, the fight ring isn’t the type to set up curb stomps for matches. But lately there have been matches where someone just ranked would be set against someone far higher up the ladder, which Snow questions. Even if Claude were brainwashed, Snow can’t find a motive so he worries over Claude.

Tomte wonders if That Demon is possessing Claude. You don’t deny it but point out it’s already been exorcised. Tomte decides to explain what he means to Snow and talks about how the other day at Kamata the bodyguard boy got possessed by a babytalking demon. There are some parts after the possession that are inexplicable, but you guys were able to expel it after getting it into a sauna.

Snow finds it odd but manages to stop himself from asking further about exorcism by sauna bathing. But he does say that if he had that sprung on him at first he wouldn’t have believed. You plead with him to believe in you, so he says he will if you’re vouching for it.

Tomte comments on Snow believing you so quickly and how you and him are connected by trust. Snow says your guilds have clashed against each other before, but now you’re allies as you’ve helped one another. Snow even says that trust would be underselling things. Tomte then says he understands since he has someone like that for him too.

You try to ask Tomte about this person, so he tells you the only one he trusts is Ded. Kengo is surprised and asks about Tomte not trusting you guys since Shirou says you all got on well yesterday. Tomte apologizes and says he didn’t realize it.

Tomte says he wants to get along but has some sort of feeling pulling at him from within. He doesn’t know why though since he doesn’t remember anything. He also says he doesn’t feel anything like fate or bonds, what with it being weak and transparent, easily broken. Tomte wonders if he’d be reassured if he can see a stronger connection like one with Ded. You either call out Tomte’s name or say nothing, and he apologizes before suggesting getting back to the topic at hand.

At this point Sitri knocks and enters the room, commenting on how heavy the mood is before he realizes you and Kengo are here in surprise. Kengo is happy to see him and says it’s cold of Sitri the way he asked why you guys are here. You either agree with Kengo, tease Kengo for acting like a senpai, or suggest calling Kengo senpai yourself.

Anyways, Kengo asks Sitri why he’s at the underground arena. Sitri struggles to answer for a sec before saying it’s a training journey like Kengo used to take. He then asks about you guys before wondering if you’re his next opponent. You’re surprised by that and ask if he came to ask about that. Sitri tells you some shorty told him to go see the manager.
