Live A Hero Valentine Cyber Wars Episode 3

Things start off with a flashback to Hisaki's past as one of his classmates go 'yo man SCREW that guy!' and complains about him whoring for attention and stealing the spotlight. They also complain about how people are always fawning over him and is disgusted that he's good at both sports and academics. Pretty uppity there for a fake Earthling! Hisaki doesn't say anything in response to this at the time, and he narrates about this being the sort of thing people often say about him behind his back. "Not REALLY an Earthling" and "not a REAL Japanese guy" are things that he can't deny, but it still upsets him.

 

Hisaki has no idea what his birth parents are like, as by the time he was old enough to have a grasp on what's happening around him he was already in the care of his adoptive Earthling parents. He knew he's really from an alien race and that he's not a blood relative of his family, but it's precisely because of those things that Hisaki couldn't stand being called a fake. He never knew what would make people see him as the real thing, but he was always worried about why people didn't accept him. So, he swore he'd be a bright intellectual that would surpass all the naysayers. He did his best to get into the spotlight so that people would praise him and see him for who he is. He studied, and he invented things, trying his best to stand out more and more. After all, if he didn't, would anyone acknowledge he even existed?

 

Title card pops up, and this episode is called Agents, Move Out!

 

We then tune in back to the present as the party enters Hisaki's lab, and Hisaki sadly assesses the damage the villains did to the place. The entire place has been turned upside down like a hurricane slammed into it, with shelves turned over, papers thrown around, and cables pulled out haphazardly. Hisaki does have an idea as to why the villains came, but he figures he should still take inventory to confirm. The party follows after him and helps clean up the lab.

 

Flamier sighs and wonders why the mobs ran off like they did. She was almost at the good part! Kyoichi comments that anyone would start fearing for their lives if that many explosions blew up right next to them, and he pleads for Flamier to not set any blasts off inside in case she causes something to catch fire. You observe how awful things look or sympathize with Flamier and say she made pretty fireworks. B gets an extra bit as Flamier is flattered you thought so too, and Akashi is shocked at how easily carried away you are with things.

 

Shouen turns to Hisaki and asks if he has any ideas why the thieves acted as barbaric as they did. Hisaki answers that they most likely wanted to haul out his lab as exactly as it is they could manage. The data they stole from his computers using spyware is likely not enough for them to stabilize the thought window system, so they came to get the data they didn't get before along with whatever relevant documents they could find while they were at it. Hisaki points to a server rack in the room, and there is a space with cables hanging out where a server box was connected previously. The only things untouched in the room would be the computers Hisaki had lying around that weren't related to his invention work, and Hisaki wonders if that means they already knew how he had organized his things. He notes that they were very prepared, and he laments that they could make a legitimate living if they were that good at hacking.

 

Akashi asks what would happen if the villains managed to perfect Hisaki's system. Hisaki says he doesn't know, but he can be sure that the functions are stabilizing. In which case, as long as the villains don't turn the thing off, everyone would have a window broadcasting their every thought 24/7. Akashi gets worried and horrified at that since it's causing enough of a mess as it is, and Shouen says it would be the collapse of society. With everyone's true thoughts on display at all times, it'd be impossible to form and maintain relationships with one another. You say it's scary just thinking about it or say this is one doozy of an incident.

 

Flamier speaks up and says she has something on her mind, so she asks if she can say it out loud. She then asks Hisaki how he got around to inventing his system as she notes that the factory his lab is in is focused mainly on spaceship parts manufacturing. Hisaki's system as he's described it however doesn't seem to relate to that area much though. Kyoichi agrees and notes that Yodobashi Industries has a big image of industrial work going for it, so it's really weird for them to be doing anything with network development.

 

Hisaki answers that he's the type to try his hand at anything that catches his interest, so he's tried all sorts of things. Since the factory his father manages does mainly do spaceship parts, Hisaki does do some research and development in that field, but it's also a field that's hard to innovate much. Plus Hisaki's tried dabbling in IT, saying that it can link to other fields and has room to develop new products. Akashi is surprised at how Hisaki made it sound like he casually came up with his system since it's not your average weekend hobby project. Akashi then asks why this thing has to be new so much and asks if current tech is that bad or something. Shouen says he's heard that tech research isn't something that can be given to anyone because of risks of societal damage when things are done. Just like with what's happening. You nod and agree that things have gotten messy for sure.

 

Hisaki says that he did have thoughts at times wondering why nobody perfected something like this while he was working on it and researching things. It might've been better if he had stopped then, and Hisaki wryly smiles as he admits he thought about surprising everyone by making something no one has done before. You ask if this desire to surprise people is what drove him into inventing things, so Hisaki answers that he's always thinking about wanting to bask in the attention everyone would give him if he made something that surprised everyone. He's had his failures of course, but nothing that blew up quite like this. But still, he never actually thought about stopping. If he could shake up the universe, wouldn't that get people to look at him and accept his abilities? Then he could puff up his chest and proudly declare that what he made was something created by a born and raised Earthling.

 

You think aloud about what Hisaki said about being a born and raised Earthling, and Hisaki admits that it all comes down to him craving the limelight and validation, so it's fine if you laugh at him. And since it's his invention causing this whole incident, he wants to clean up the mess with his own hands. His father always did tell him 'wipe your own ass.' You think on Hisaki's admittance to wanting fame and recognition, then comment that him being upfront is kind of refreshing. He seems repentant at any rate. Hisaki laughs that he ended up talking about himself and is embarrassed at that. But anyways he's got a picture of what's going on, and he says it's time to figure out what to do next.

 

Hisaki turns on one of his remaining computers and sits down at the desk. Akashi comments that he can't make fun of Hisaki much if he made something like this out of a desire for recognition, and Kyoichi says wanting that isn't that bad in and of itself. He just needs to keep sight of his standards. He personally says he won't laugh at Hisaki, assuming Hisaki actually does get everything under control.

 

Shouen looks quietly sad, which Flamier notices and asks if something is wrong. Shouen is surprised out of his thoughts and says he was just thinking. He was surprised that Hisaki could open up like that despite how shameful it would be, and after a bit more thought Shouen says he might have been envious. If he were as honest as Hisaki, maybe he could have changed a bit as well. You turn to Shouen in concern and wonder if something happened, and at that point Hisaki gets a phone ping, which he answers through his computer.

 

Crowne is on the line, and she greets Hisaki before asking how things are on his end. Hisaki answers that his server and documents have all been taken, just like he expected. The server does have a DNA or fingerprint lock of some kind that uses bio-verification, so that does buy some time to get past, but the papers and documents were a big hit. It's only a matter of time before the villains manage to finish the system. Crowne figured as much, then says you guys need to track down the villain's base as soon as possible. Shouen adds that you guys need to solve the current crisis as soon as possible too, and it's natural for people to be concerned with the suffering that's happening.

 

You agree with the point and wonder you guys should do. Akashi suggests going around telling everyone that the thought window problem can be prevented for now if people take off their wearable tech. Crowne says you could do that, but as Huckle mentioned before, it's just a stopgap measure. Plus life is hard without wearable tech, which is something Akashi himself should be aware of. Akashi concedes that that's true, then asks if this means you guys have to go solve the underlying issue.

 

Crowne says that would be the case, and she says that based on how Hisaki's system works, it's highly likely that radio waves are being used to activate the system through the wavebands on people's phones. And on that note, Crowne says she's just finished doing a search for a place that could do something like that. She hasn't narrowed it down its exact location yet though. Hisaki is happy to hear this and compliments Crowne as a girl who has both looks and skills. Crowne is offended at this, asking if he's making fun of her and threatening to solder his tongue down. Hisaki quickly apologizes and asks how much of a field she's narrowed things down to.

 

Crowne calms down and gets back on topic, then answers that she needs more time. She'll focus on the search on her end, and she suggests that you guys focus on what to do about the stolen materials. Hisaki thanks her, so Crowne says it'll cost him and that he better be ready for that. He reluctantly agrees as he hangs up the call, and he sighs about how much Crowne freaks him out sometimes even if he is relying on her. She always gets pissy like that when he tries to compliment her. You suggest this might be due to how he normally acts, say Hisaki is surprisingly quick to show himself to be irreverent, or say Crowne's just in a bad mood. In A, Hisaki denies the idea in shock and says you won't find anyone as sincere as him. Akashi says sincere probably doesn't mean what he thinks it means. In B, Hisaki is shocked and says he's always praising Crowne to high heaven and is not irreverent, gawd. Akashi notes that Hisaki calling it high praise makes him sound suspicious. In C, Hisaki nods along and says it's hard to be mindful of people's moods. Akashi is surprised and says the two of you are alike.

 

Anyways, Hisaki suggests it's time to come up with an infiltration plan for the mafia's hideout. Kyoichi is surprised at this and asks if that means Hisaki already knows where they are. Hisaki nods and says he's done analyzing the spyware, though he hasn't actually looked inside the network yet. The main problem is that you're up against a large scale organization, so a frontal assault isn't going to work. You'd all probably be shot up if you tried that. Shouen understands why you guys are talking about an infiltration plan then, which he frames as a stealth ops to sneak in. The phrase sets Kyoichi to thinking about spies.

 

Hisaki explains that the idea is that one lightly equipped person will sneak in carrying only a nanocamera and a mini radio comm. This person will investigate the inside of the mafia base, and if possible patch Hisaki into the stolen servers' network so that he can access it and take it back. Since you're going up against villains, it's better to send a hero in for this job. They'd also be working at a distance while constantly suited up.

 

Akashi comments that this really does sound like a spy thriller flick, though he's worried that none of them would know how to set a link up to the server. Hisaki laughs and says he has that covered as he pulls out a spy connector he's made. Just plug it in, and it'll reconfigure the settings and connect to an external network on its own. There's no need for the infiltrator to know how to use networks; they just need to understand what the connector looks like. Akashi is amazed by how prepared Hisaki is and asks why he made that thing to begin with. Hisaki laughs and brags that as a genius, nothing is impossible for him. But honestly, Hisaki made the thing because he thought he could and never thought about what he'd use it for. It's untested, so he doesn't know if it even works. This shocks Akashi as he asks how Hisaki could be a genius then, and you wonder if this will work out and ask who will be going in.

 

Hisaki says the big problem is figuring out who to send. He can't go himself since his hero suit sticks out. Flamier apologizes and says she's usually kept away from stealth missions, and Shouen says that Flamier's skill set isn't suited for stealth since it draws attention. Hisaki also says that since the person going in is going into a lair filled with an unknown amount of enemies, they can't make the pretty lady do it. Flamier is flattered by this while Akashi is offended and wishes he could punch Hisaki if he could get away with it.

 

Kyoichi is quiet, prompting Akashi to ask him what's up. Kyoichi has a sudden epiphany and laughs that everything is connected now. Hisaki is surprised and asks him to explain, and Akashi says that whenever Kyoichi gets like this he generally comes up with something stupid. Kyoichi asks if you remember the spy looking outfit he was wearing earlier, and you take a moment to think before you remember that. Kyoichi says his heart's decided, which is why he turned out like that. If it'd save the hearts of his students, then no evil organization can stand in his way! You are either confused by this, say this never occurred to you, or exclaim that you see.

 

Kyoichi goes on and says he should be the one taking the stealth mission this time. Akashi is surprised and tries to argue it wouldn't be any different if he were to go in instead, but Kyoichi insists on being the infiltrator because he is both the Teacher of Justice Element Teacher and the Agent of Love and Justice Sailor Moon E. T. L.! You react in surprise or confusion at this. Hisaki is shocked while Flamier is nonplussed, and Kyoichi says it stands for Element Teacher Love. He came up with it on the spot after believing in his mission.

 

Shouen is taken aback at how direct it is to stick that into his code name, though it's also novel that way. Akashi however thinks Kyoichi has terrible taste in names. Kyoichi is aghast that Akashi would trample on his straightforward delicate feelings like that, and you either shrug it off if Kyoichi is motivated for this, tell Akashi he didn't need to say it like that, or call Kyoichi cool. In A, Kyoichi says he's definitely motivated as that's what those clothes are for. In B, Akashi apologizes and says he was thinking about how Kyoichi is always coming up with dumb stuff. Kyoichi is offended at this and threatens to grope Akashi all over next time. In C, Kyoichi gets excited and says he figured you'd think so. Akashi is amazed that you can get on the same wavelength as Kyoichi since he figured that's super hard to do. Anyways, Kyoichi asks if he can take the stealth mission. Hisaki is surprised but agrees since he's actually glad he's volunteering. His suit in that form is lighter on the equipment side and doesn't stick out as much after all. Kyoichi cheers at this and says you guys should move out right away then.

 

Time skips several hours later and scene shifts over to a certain place in Orient City's airport district. Inside the Warmongers fort's underground mafia base, a couple mobs are patrolling the area before moving on. You tell Kyoichi they're gone so he can move now, so he acknowledges the signal and makes his way further in. You along with the rest of the party are hanging in the shadows of a car parked a little ways away from the base, using several small cameras to navigate for Kyoichi.

 

Akashi comments on the villain's base looking like a warehouse, though he doesn't see anything like rations, water, or anything dangerous around. Hisaki says it's convention for places like this to have the most important stuff in the deepest part, and there's still more to search of the place. Shouen says he'd prefer for you guys to avoid battle for as much as possible since you guys are the only ones viewing things. Flamier agrees, saying you guys are the only ones providing views if it comes to it. Hisaki says that's why you guys need to be careful of security cameras and enemy movement, and he then directs Kyoichi to head forward and to the right.

 

Kyoichi says he'll go when the mobs turn around, then asks about their movements. You check to the right and behind, and since everyone looks far away you tell Kyoichi it's okay to move again. He nods and gets going. Once he's in some tunnel area, he comments on having gotten in pretty far and how wide the tunnel is. He also observes that there's a large room up ahead. Since it looks like there's enough room for a car to get through here he figures this must be the deepest section. Hisaki tells Kyoichi to be careful of cameras as he goes in, and that no villains are headed his way. Kyoichi acknowledges him and moves on.

 

Once Kyoichi reaches the innermost room, he's surprised at it being a huge storehouse of sorts, and he quickly hides by some nearby boxes and looks over the area. Mafia mobs are in the center of the room, connecting Something covered in a canopy with a thick pipe, apparently filling it up with some sort of liquid from a giant tank. Kyoichi wonders what it is, saying he can't really tell with the canopy in the way, then tells you guys that something seems to be written on the top of the tank and asks if anyone can read it.

 

Hisaki tries to take a look as he moves one of the cameras over without tipping off the mobs. What he finds is a warning label about the dangers of the tank's contents. He reads off CH3(NH)NH2 but doesn't recognize it, and you wonder if it's some kind of code or chemical formula. Kyoichi is surprised and asks what it is since he's not good at chemistry himself, so the resident chemistry expert says it's monomethylhydrazine, a flammable, combustible organic compound derivative of hydrazine.

 

Akashi is amazed at how quickly Flamier figured it out, but Flamier says it's less that she's heard of it through her chemistry teaching position and more through her hobbies. It's one of the materials developed and used in 20th century earth rockets and satellites in their bipropallent rocket engines. By mixing it with dinitrogen tetroxide and detonating it, it can be used as a propellant. It is however highly toxic, so it's dangerous to treat it casually.

 

You ask about the satellite and rocket bit and wonder why the villains would have it, and Hisaki wonders if the object covered by the canopy is a satellite. Akashi is surprised at the idea and asks what the villains would want to do with it. Hisaki shrugs but points out that these guys are terrorists who stole his system. He wouldn't be worried if they had motives he could figure out quickly. Akashi concedes the point, then brings up the possibility that it's a spaceship and not a satellite down there.

 

Flamier denies the possibility since the fuel they're using isn't used for manned spacecraft. Hisaki agrees, and he explains that when Earth started communicating with alien races, Earth began developing spacecraft with technology brought in from outside the solar system. Since refueling is always dangerous, the old Earth engines became more and more obsolete until they were only used for launching satellites. Flamier adds that even when alternate fuel types were researched, they were clearly inefficient when compared to the output of ether engines. They're still notable facilitators of development, so they're still used today for launching satellites. You ask if that means it is a satellite down there.

 

Kyoichi wonders what the villains could be doing with a satellite if that's true. He gets spotted by some mafia mobs who ask what he's doing. He's alarmed as the mobs walk up to him, but the mobs tell him to tie up his shirt because the boss is strict on the dress code. Kyoichi is surprised by this but plays along, and Akashi wonders if the mobs think Kyoichi is one of them. Shouen notes that the mobs are wearing suits too, and you wonder if people would normally make that kind of mistake or say the suit worked out.

 

The mob says the fueling is almost complete, so Kyoichi better get his own prelaunch prep done too. Kyoichi thanks him for the warning and says he'll go. The others nod as Kyoichi turns to leave, and he starts patting down his chest...at which a thought window pops up and blabs Kyoichi's relief at not being found out. You are alarmed at the window popping up now of all times, and Kyoichi panics as he realizes he left his phone on him since he's transformed. The guards do notice the window and demand an explanation, and Kyoichi is surrounded in seconds. The mafia orders Kyoichi to identify himself and threatens his ability to leave depending on what he says. Kyoichi says it won't matter either way, and the mobs suit up.

 

Kyoichi yells into the phone that he'll be fighting, so he'll need you to operate. You acknowledge the request and tell him to do his best and try to get out of there if he can. Since Kyoichi's cover is blown, Hisaki says it's time to link up your cameras to the live broadcast circuit. Akashi panics for a moment as he tries to find it, and he succeeds in doing so soon after. He confirms that your channel is running and that views are coming in, so the battle can get started. Shouen notes that this means that the villains are on to you guys now, but Hisaki shrugs saying that sometimes sacrifices have to be made. He tells you to get it started, and you declare the episode's battle to begin. More story happens afterwards.

 

After the battle, things tune in at the part where Kyoichi shoots down two of the mobs, breathing hard but still taking the time to taunt the villains. You say that Kyoichi is strong and working well with his new weapon, and Kyoichi brags that he'll master any weapon and get as strong as he needs to so that he can punish evildoers who would cause his students grief. One mafia mob curses the fact that the live broadcast means their base is exposed, and he orders the others to get the thing out as soon as possible. The fueling is complete and the pipe is detached, so they can drive it out whenever. Mob B orders everyone to retreat while everyone who needs to be at the launch to get in the car.

 

The mobs scatter, and a loud engine noise revs up. Kyoichi is shocked to see a trailer down there, and as it starts to drive off he runs at a full sprint and manages to grab onto the back of the hauling tray. One of the mobs notices and starts shooting at Kyoichi. He barely dodges the shots, and another mob stops the first one, concerned that he might hit one of the tires instead. The car speeds up through the tunnel, and Kyoichi does his best to hang on to the thing despite not actually managing to get himself inside the tray. A quick cut to Akashi has him showing concern for Kyoichi since this will be doing some harsh damage to him.

 

Kyoichi continues hanging on for dear life, and as the car drags him along Kyoichi can see things getting brighter as they go. The car soon surfaces as it exits the tunnel, bouncing up a little from the elevation difference and throwing Kyoichi's grip off. You call out to him in concern, and Kyoichi makes a last ditch effort to pull out a tiny communicator from his pocket and attaching it to one of his bullets before firing it off. It sticks to the back of the trailer, and a red light in his chest lights up to inform him this part succeeded. Then he lands on the asphalt and rolls from the impact.

 

Shouen runs over without missing a beat and picks Kyoichi up, asking if he's okay. Kyoichi apologizes for this, but tells him he got his radio attached at least. Shouen compliments him for having tried his best, but more mobs show up from the tunnel around this point and start firing at you guys upon spotting you. You call out to Shouen and Kyoichi to get in the car, and they run over as everyone else grabs the rest of the equipment. Akashi reaches out for Shouen, though he's taken by surprise how heavy he and Kyoichi is together. Kyoichi tells Akashi to pull harder and asks if his pecs are for show, and Akashi puts his back into it and yanks the two in. They end up on top of Akashi, so Flamier asks if he's okay. Akashi is fine though, if uncomfortable with the weight on him. Hisaki tells everyone to strap in as he floors the gas pedal, and the episode ends with you screaming as the car zooms off.

Valentine Colosseo Episode 2 Part 2

Kyuuma starts narrating, and he talks about how he feels like he's always trying to follow in someone's footsteps and chasing after someone. His parents, his teachers, his senpai, his same grade classmates, and sometimes even his kouhai. There are plenty of times when his senpai doted on him and hung out together with him, and this continued on when he got into Yoyogi. Sometimes it was with his third year senpai in the sumo team. Sometimes it was with his second year senpai on the rugby team. There's also the track and field team, wrestling team, and the football team. All of his senpai treated him well. He saw the strides they made, and he took it as encouragement to work hard and tried his best.

 

Sometimes though, Kyuuma takes note of himself running after them from behind. There he is, that stupid space filler who couldn't keep up with his senpais' encouragement. His senpai shone so bright that he wanted to look away since he's still just a first year who doesn't measure up yet. So many things build up that he can't do anything about, which just builds up his frustrations at the same time. He grows desperate thinking if only he could focus on looking forward. He doesn't have the time to turn his attention away from baseball, and he believed he didn't have the time to waste thinking about anyone else. Yet the feelings he carries remain in his heart, never fading away and turning indistinct like the fog. He carries it on with him, along with the chocolate his has hidden in his chest he treasures so much.

 

Things tune in back to the present as Kyuuma pants, running forward towards the vision of people he wants to catch up with. You tell Kyuuma he's almost there, grab his hand, or piggyback carry him and run. B and C gets an extra line with him reacting in embarrassment at this. But anyways, Snow starts making an announcement in regards to the event to all participants. It is currently time for a 15 minute break, and during this time taking photos of peoples' chocolates will not count towards your score like the first break. This is the last break for stage 1, so please keep that in mind. Snow also says he'll announce where the goal area is for this part is, so it's best that people not miss this part.

 

Shuten tells you that it's break time now, so you can stop running. You nod and acknowledge that it's that time, say you ended up running full steam ahead, and/or comment that it felt a bit like youth. Fergus laughs that running goes hand in hand with adolescence, and things would just be perfect if it was time for sunset now. Shuten is weirded out and baffled by Fergus's comment, but he thanks him for helping. Kyuuma says he wasn't thinking when he ran, but now that he's stopped he asks where you guys are since he doesn't know what alleyway you guys went into is. Fergus checks and notes that you guys still seem to be in the event area boundaries, but it is still pretty far away from the train station. He suggests leaving the plans for what to do next aside for now and having everyone introduce themselves.

 

Shuten agrees with the point and says they didn't have time for that earlier with the big battle before. He introduces himself as a third year at Shinjuku and part of the baseball team, then thanks Fergus again for helping them out. Kyuuma gives his full name and says he's a first year and baseball player at Yoyogi, then thanks Fergus for helping as well. Fergus laughs and approves of his introduction, then introduces himself before saying nice to meet youth. Kyuuma almost repeats the same thing back politely before his brain stumbles at the odd shoehorn of youth there.

 

Shuten comments it's a lifesaver that break time came when it did, because if he doesn't take a breather he might fall over. Kyuuma offers to buy everyone drinks and asks if anyone wants anything specific. Fergus accepts the offer and gives Kyuuma some money, then gives a vague request for something that makes him feel that youth happening. Kyuuma agrees, gets confused at this request, but says he'll do it anyways.

 

You offer to go with Kyuuma since it'd be hard to carry all the drinks on his own, but he quickly insists he'll be okay as he's used to being asked to buy stuff on the baseball team. He'd also like for you guys to all rest since the match event only just started. He excuses himself and runs off, and you comment that he seems to be different and faking his cheer today. Fergus says he doesn't know Kyuuma, but he suggests that maybe he's having teen troubles. He asks if Sir Shuten knows anything since he was with him. Shuten isn't keen on being addressed that way, but he doesn't insist on making Fergus stop.

 

Camera jumps over to Kyuuma who is looking at sports drinks, figuring that'd meet Fergus's request. He asks David if he thinks so too, then goes on to pick out drinks for him and everyone. Back at your end, you wonder if Kyuuma is feeling not confident about something and if he's worrying about something. Shuten says Kyuuma is normally a straightforward kind of guy who's easy to read. He's pretending to be fine, but he won't say what's on his mind. Shuten points out that he's also not with anyone from Yoyogi like he normally does. You ask if he means like Ashigara and Gunzou, then agree that it's strange for Kyuuma to not be with the other jocks.

 

Shuten is sure that there must be a reason for Kyuuma to be on his own this time. You have a quick flashback to when you met him at Bukuro and note that he did seem unhappy then, and Fergus stays quiet. You note that this seems like some sort of delicate issue since Kyuuma seems unlikely to volunteer anything about it, so you wonder how you can figure it out another way.

 

Kyuuma gets back at this point, then wonders what you guys are talking about. Fergus turns to him and notes that Kyuuma is going through his youth, which confuses Kyuuma of course. Fergus asks if he's worried about something and feeling like he 'can't take both options,' which shocks Kyuuma. Fergus talks about how Kyuuma wouldn't be in a dilemma and feeling lost if he could choose both, and it's because he thinks both are important that this is a youth thing. Kyuuma looks mad at this, and you can either try to talk Fergus out of this since he's being so abrupt about the topic or just watch quietly. Shuten asks you to let Fergus speak if you try the former.

 

Fergus comments that Kyuuma is lucky to have two things so important to him that he can't choose, which surprises Kyuuma. Fergus argues that this means he doesn't have time to be standing around lost in thought, so he should be doing his best to go after both of them. Kyuuma attempts to protest about the possibility that he gets neither of the things he wants, so Fergus tells him to open his ears wide and listen to him. They say that if you chase two hares you will catch neither, but youth is about going in full force. So, Kyuuma has to be going all in on this, and Fergus asks if Kyuuma is doing so. Kyuuma is baffled speechless at this, so you try to reign Fergus in saying Kyuuma isn't getting it and apologize to Kyuuma since Fergus is just like that and that he shouldn't take him that seriously.

 

Shuten apologizes for interrupting the speech but informs you guys that break time is almost over. Once you're all done with your drinks, Shuten says he'll throw the bottles away, and then you guys need to figure out a plan. Kyuuma is surprised and attempts to insist on being the one to throw the trash away, but Shuten suggests he could do with thinking over what Fergus was talking about. Shuten then grabs Fergus and drags him away, insisting he help toss the trash out over Fergus's protests about needing to discuss the problems that come with youth.

 

After the two of them go, you comment on that bit and ask Kyuuma if he'd like to talk since there's still a bit of time left. Kyuuma takes a moment, then decides to open up to you. He talks about having made the chocolate he has himself since he wanted to make his senpais happy. He shows you his chocolate, which are all shaped like baseballs. Kyuuma admits he originally had other plans as Ashigara and Gunzou had plans for an chocolate exchange party. Kyuuma however couldn't bring himself to go, so you either ask him why or quietly wait for him to go on.

 

Kyuuma talks about how his senpai who have talked about things with the faculty staff at school are those on the road to being pros. It's nothing unusual at Yoyogi, but Kyuuma admits to feeling like a loser since they seem like they're going far away. It frustrates him that he hasn't shown results, and his senpai are so amazing that he can't bring himself to look at them. If asked if he had time to go to this party, he says he really wanted to go. It's only natural that he'd hate himself for worrying and being indecisive. He admits to being frustrated to you, and you can either smile at him, hold his hand, or hug him. B has an extra line of Kyuuma being a bit surprised by this. C has a different extra line where he's shocked by that.

 

In any case, Kyuuma hangs his head ashamed, and he holds his chocolate so tightly that the wrappings make creaking sounds. Shuten comes back at this point and asks if you guys are done talking. Kyuuma doesn't really answer that, and Shuten prompts him to get moving. He thinks of him as a rival, so he's not going to give him any slack and asks if Kyuuma understands. Kyuuma nods in response.

 

Some time later, Fergus has checked the leader board and informs you guys that you've all dropped to an unimpressive position currently. The app's locator data says there's a bunch of participants over at the station area again right now, and the only way to get through this current situation is to go back to the battlefield and take chocolate points from other people. Shuten brings up that the clear conditions for stage one still haven't been declared yet, so getting points is all you guys can do for now anyways. You say you guys can't just run the whole time and need to aim for the top, or you have a bit of regret you guys didn't grab all that chocolate from earlier. C gets an extra line from Shuten laughing and saying it's too late to think that now.

 

Fergus says he was thinking about that before as well, but he decides it's all good since it's important to make your exit cool. Kyuuma is baffled by this, and Fergus loudly pushes past the point to state that you guys are going back out into the fight and covering for each other so that everyone will win this stage. You ask Kyuuma if he's holding up okay, and Kyuuma fumbles his words for a moment before thanking you for listening to him earlier. He's feeling better now that he got things off his chest, and he laughs ruefully about brooding earlier. He's here and all, and he swears to make himself helpful for you guys.

 

Scene shifts over to the station area by Ikebukuro's west exit. Some wolf mob acknowledges that he lost and hands over his chocolate as he asks the winner take a nice picture of it. Cthugha accepts the things and brags that he's a pro photographer, but then promptly takes a blurry photo. The battle unfolding rages on with camera clicks going off in the background. Those who lost leave, only to be replaced by a wave of newcomers. The cycle continues on and on, turning the area into a huge battleground. You comment your amazement at the scene and say it's not really just a free for all anymore, or you prompt people to say cheese. C gets an extra bit as Shuten, Kyuuma, Cthugha, and two nobodies all pose for the camera before Kyuuma tells you you're supposed to be snapping pics of chocolates and not them.

 

Anyways, Shuten says this big chaotic brawl is actually your chance to win big and make a comeback. Kyuuma is surprised at how quickly the point counts are rising as he looks at the chart, and Claude suddenly starts up a video announcement. He starts to express his enjoyment of everything happening when you yell at Claude to cut out his intro and get with explaining the win conditions already. He is actually taken by surprise by this and apologizes. He complies with cutting his speech short, then passes things over to Snow to explain in detail.

 

Snow steps up to their camera and says he'll explain the win conditions for this stage of the event. Shuten is surprised at how unruffled Snow is about this and prompts him to hurry it up. Snow says new location data is being sent to everyone through the app, and you should see some places colored red on the map. Those are the end goals of this phase for everyone who's collected enough chocolates. There's only a fixed number of slots for people moving on to the next round, and anyone who isn't there by the time things are called are out. Snow then signs the video call off with a well wishing in battle and a happy Valentine's. You note that the goal areas have shown up, though you kind of expected this already.

 

Camera jumps over to where Nomad is, up on the roof of some apartment building working as a bodyguard and observer for the event. He raises his voice in surprise at there suddenly being a lot more people participating in the event, and Kamui notes that this is people's last gamble for a chance at winning which is making the situation what it is. He suggests that something may be happening, and Taurus Mask gets excited by all the people around. Nomad asks where these people even came from and thinks they ought to have trained up some more. Kamui tells Taurus Mask it's almost time to go and that they should focus on their jobs as guards and observers. He and Nomad move on ahead, leaving Taurus Mask to ask for them to wait as he follows along, and at that point he reacts in surprise to noticing Kyuuma down there.

 

Back down on the street, Shuten declares it's time to go, so you guys should pray to the heavens for luck and hoof it to the goal. Several participants are seen breaking off early to head for the goal area, but this also coincides with more participants joining the battle as well. Kyuuma is shocked at the number of people here, saying that there's enough that he can't actually see the ground of the streets themselves. Fergus figures everyone there is attempting to make one last push to win, which is a problem for you guys since it'll prevent you guys from leaving.

 

You tell the party that you guys should break off too since you're all high enough in the rankings that you just need to make it to the goal line. The others agree, but some of the mobs notice your positions and attempt to call others to block you off. Shuten suggests that he and Fergus cut a way through and tells him to handle the left and right. Fergus says he's been thinking about how calm Shuten has been this whole time and asks if he was a general at some point. Shuten will only tell Fergus that he went through something similar once. He messed up and everything went badly for him though, and Shuten remembers about how he fell for a lie and lost a lot of his friends to the forces sent to capture Mt. Ooe.

 

Kyuuma attempts to talk to Shuten, and Shuten is surprised by this as he asks what's going on. Kyuuma asks Shuten if he regrets what he did in the past and wishes he could redo it. Shuten calls him stupid and says of course he regrets it, and not a night goes by where he doesn't think about what happened. Kyuuma is hesitant to say more, but Shuten admits that while he does regret it, he's never thought about going back and trying something different. Kyuuma asks him why he wouldn't, so Shuten says that if you start thinking that you'll fix things by redoing them however many times, you'll lose something important to you. If you're picking between letting two people die as opposed to three, that's really just a comparison of results. Doing that would reduce your friends to just numbers, which is a mindset that Shuten thinks can go straight to hell. He made his choice to live with his friends as he did. That's fine with him, and what happened is his burden to bear.

 

Fergus quietly thinks on that, and Shuten notes that while Kyuuma and Ibaraki put him on a bit of a pedestal, it's because he's with others that it looks like he can walk forward without hesitating or getting lost. He tells Kyuuma he's not alone either, so he doesn't need to get caught up in these kinds of thoughts. Kyuuma is quiet, and you turn to him and suggest that you guys go together. He agrees, and soon afterwards Shuten and Fergus start plowing their way through the crowds to the befuddlement of the mobs they smack aside. Shuten says he won't hurt them, but he is going to kick them out of the way. Fergus says he'll hold back a little, but he won't show mercy in making his way through. Randos all around are shocked at his wildness.

 

Shuten and Fergus punch through in a one-two pattern, and Shuten signals for you two to follow him. You and Kyuuma run after them at full speed, and in full dramatic fashion an accident happens as Kyuuma drops his chocolate. Fergus asks what's happening, and Kyuuma repeats himself about how important the chocolate is. You ask about it, but Kyuuma turns around to go pick it up. Mobs are about to converge on him, but at that point Cthugha runs in and panics at people suddenly stopping since he says he can't stop on a dime himself. Kyuuma's mind flashes thoughts about knowing he never had time to stop or make a detour. With so many competitors almost on him, he pretty much accepts that he can't make it out...but then, someone comes back and jumps in front of him to help.

 

Kyuuma is surprised that you came back for him, and you tell him it'll be okay and ask if he can stand. He looks guilty about this, but then starts to say something about you. He starts thinking again about why he passed up on going to the jocks' chocolate exchange party and came to Ikebukuro instead. Kyuuma says you always give it your all no matter what is happening, no matter where you go, and no matter where you go back to. Kyuuma lived his life while lost and directionless. Still he put his full effort into it and ran, and now he wants to see that certain someone who lived that way.

 

Whatever path in life he takes, there's sure to be some regrets. But if you look at it another way, this would also mean that he has two things so important to him that he has to measure them against each other. He can see how far Shuten and Fergus have walked ahead in life already, and that gives him the encouragement to go forward. At the very least he's picked up on one thing, which is that he does have the time to worry about things. He should run as hard as he can so that he doesn't have the time to think about his worries. And if the time comes where he has to make a decision, he should be able to smile more than he can now. If he has regrets, he can feel them then.

 

Kyuuma starts thinking about his senpais at Yoyogi, his senpai at other schools, and someone else he doesn't fully mention. He talks about how everyone is walking their own paths, going to places he likely has no idea about. Kyuuma then squeezes your hand, as if reaffirming to himself that you're there. You call out his name, and Kyuuma thanks you for giving him some courage. He says you guys should get going and run together, and the light has returned to his eyes. Kyuuma then declares his name and position on his team as he challenges people to come at him as the episode battle begins. More happens afterwards.

 

After the battle, things tune in with you and Kyuuma running off from the field hand in hand. Kyuuma tells you to keep running and to squeeze his hand tight. He takes in a deep breath, and the next moment he suddenly charges through with a burst of speed that shocks a bunch of people he blows out of the way. One person still manages to chase after you two, which turns out to be Cthugha as he breathes hard. He fires off his NP at you guys, somehow by accident, and he panics at tipping his hand and being unable to stop it.

 

Narration talks about how one of Cthugha's forms is a giant fire ball. This superhot ball of flames draws near Kyuuma, but Kyuuma turns out to have an artifact(sic) that can beat that. All Giant Things that stand before David are fated to be crushed, and the more lost lambs and people needing guidance are around, the stronger David's power is. Kyuuma calls to David to throw a ball with him so that he can go on the course he's decided upon. David smiles and nods in response, and he recalls the wish he made on his summoning. David always cuts through the darkness with light to show the path, which is always straight and true. This is done to fulfill his role, to create the foundation for that certain something that will one day appear in this world. It is Because of This that Kyuuma's worries look so bright to David. It's why he likes him. The two synch up, and Kyuuma calls out his NP as he throws his ball directly at the core of the fireball coming at them. Cthugha is shocked and appalled at this, lamenting that his reincarnated OP legend is crashing down. Once the fireball has dissipated, Kyuuma looks red in the face as he grabs your hand and says that you guys should run together towards the goal line.

 

Some time later, Snow announces that the goal lines have closed and asks that people give a round of applause to everyone who has participated. Seating in the stands will be made available now for participants who enjoyed watching the battles, and there will be a chance for those moving on to take ultimate victory. But back to your end of things, Kyuuma is panting hard for a moment before he eventually asks you how his running was and says it was thanks to you. He freaks out when he realizes he's still holding your hand and asks in alarm if he grabbed it too hard. You tell him he was cool, say he ran great, or quietly squeeze his hand back. He's touched by your response whatever it is.

 

Shuten laughs that Kyuuma seems to have gotten through whatever he was worrying about and says it took him long enough. Fergus compliments the brightness of Kyuuma's youth and says it was good enough to fall in love with him. Kyuuma is surprised by their remarks, then says that was him giving everything he had and asks if that met their expectations. Shuten laughs some more and asks if Kyuuma understands what he did. Fergus tells him to calm down and look around at the proof of his youth carved all around him.

 

When Kyuuma looks around, Cthugha and a bunch of people who don't really matter are surrounding him, cheering and clapping for him while Kyuuma has trouble processing all this. Pirate A compliments Kyuuma's running saying he never saw anything like that before. Girl B asks him to teach her how to do that the next time he's in a game, saying she'll come watch and give him chocolate. Cthugha is baffled that he lost despite being an OP isekai reincarnation, but then talks to himself about how this might be a friendship flag and babbles a compliment to Kyuuma saying he wouldn't mind if they became friends.

 

Kyuuma asks if all this admiration really is being directed at him, and Shuten tells him he needs to say something in response to them since this doesn't happen often. Fergus declares that being surrounded by applause is another form of youth, so he better write it down since it won't happen again. Kyuuma stutters for a moment before thanking everyone for their words, then turns to you and happily says this is a first for him. He's surprised when tears start welling up in his eyes despite how happy he feels, and you quietly either pat him on the head or hug him. He cries out loud either way, and the applause, smiles, and tears keep coming for a bit longer.

 

A little ways away, Daisuke in on the phone and comments that Kyuuma seems fine now, and that he's so similar to him that he can't leave him alone. He was worried before about things, then he hears that Ashigara is pouting and threatening to forward slam him. Daisuke protests he's doing this because he was asked to, then says he has to go back to work and says he'll talk to Gunzou again sometime. Daisuke then comments on how friendly Kyuuma is to call everyone senpai despite being in other sports teams, and he sighs that Kyuuma would have done fine if he joined the wrestling team.

 

Back to your end, Kyuuma gives you a chocolate and says he now has the courage to do that. It's in the shape of a baseball bat and is small enough to fit in your palm. It's so very like him, and there is a hint of a special flavor to it. Fergus laughs about how this was an easy win and talks about how this is also youth when something catches his attention. Some cat sounding person recognizes Fergus and asks if he's that Fergus from the Ulster cycle. The episode ends as stage one does, and narration notes that things are still just beginning.

 

Valentine Colosseo Episode 2 Part 1

Once, there was a giant hero who stood in the way of an army named Goliath. His astonishing strength sent shivers of fear down anyone's spine, yet a young shepherd boy stepped up to fight him. In the end of that battle, the boy's stone pierced through the giant's forehead unerringly. His allied soldiers were surprised by this, and they went on to celebrate his victory. They called it the birth of a new king, one who would guide their way. The boy used to be a shepherd, possessing the role of guiding lost sheep. He would be the one to guide everyone to the faraway place, where the all-knowing all-capable light descended from.

 

This boy will one day become king. This boy was promised the direct path to glory. Those lost and hurt in life will look up to him and assuredly think of him as dazzling. People seek what they were not given because what they don't have looks brighter to them. Many people like that hold hesitation within them, and the boy who had no hesitation is David. All who come to Tokyo come seeking something they could not obtain in their home worlds, so what is it that David sought? Whatever it is, he never spoke a word of it.

 

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Valentine Chocolate Heart.

 

Scene then tunes into the specially set up lobby in the Berserkers guild area where Duo is sitting on a sofa in the middle of things. The TV monitor is showing a view of every area in Ikebukuro alongside the current rankings and chocolate point count for the event participants. Duo is processing all of this data with no issue and typing away at several computers around him without missing a beat. He carries on with a look like he knows everything in the world, though he's reserving his judgment for one thing.

 

Snow walks up to Duo, apologizing for the interruption to tell him he's brought lunch for him and taking care to speak in a quiet dignified manner to keep his being a distraction to a minimum. Duo thanks him and says he'll eat it once he's done with checking something. Snow says it should be them thanking Duo and the Hongou Wisemen for their cooperation. It's due to their development and applicability of the app's expansion function to practical levels that the Berserkers can use it for this event. There's also Duo monitoring everything for them too. Snow smiles as he hands Duo some cocoa made with some special milk, then turns towards his feet once he's done with that.

 

Snow asks why Garm is sitting down there, so Garm sits up and sounds guilty as he says he did something bad to Kyuuma and asks what he should do. Snow suggests Garm could just go apologize to him if he feels that bad about it, and Duo pats Garm and tells him he's a good boy. Garm is surprised but pleased by this, and he starts wagging his up til now drooping tail. Moritaka and Shuuichi walk up at this point, and Shuuichi is highly displeased as he expresses jealousy that Duo is petting him. Moritaka tries to get Shuuichi to calm down as he explains Garm was feeling sad, and Duo pointedly greets only Moritaka. Moritaka thanks him and says he's back as he greets him and Snow. Shuuichi tries to laugh off being ignored, and while he says this is a regular thing, it still hurts. Moritaka suggests Duo say something to Shuuichi out of pity.

 

Snow welcomes Moritaka and Shuuichi back, then asks them how things are outside. Shuuichi answers that the link program the Wisemen have developed is confirmed to be working. Moritaka expresses amazement about the expansion function and says it gives him appreciation about how he doesn't know everything. Snow says he was surprised by it too, though there is one thing that he doesn't understand, so Shuuichi asks if he's talking about the Wisemen not taking payment for things This Time. Snow says nothing as he stares back at him, so Shuuichi takes this to mean yes.

 

Shuuichi says that normally, he'd like to work out a deal, but this time being involved with the event is enough. Snow asks if he's saying he has some other motive for this, so Shuuichi initially explains that someone he knows is participating in this event and his choices will be an important sample for them. Shuuichi then backtracks from this to say that there's something he wants to see himself as a kendoka, which is all he'd like to say on that. He insists that he's not lying, and he says that he went through the trouble of getting Moritaka to come with him especially for this too.

 

Shuuichi looks over at Duo, and narration starts talking about how Systems are things meant to achieve eternity for worlds by gathering the wills in the world to benefit the greatest number of people. For those who bear the System, hesitation is only just a delay in their judgment, so they are always made to compete over their processing speed. But right now, Duo just watches silently over you and Fergus as you two run down Ikebukuro.

 

Scene shifts over to your end as Fergus stops for a moment in confusion. You ask Fergus why he's looking around all of a sudden and if he's lost, so Fergus says he thought he felt someone watching him. He apologizes for seeming to hesitate, and the two of you continue on through the enforced neutral zone in Ikebukuro Station towards the west exit. Once you two reach that area, Fergus suddenly starts talking to you again and asks if you'll hear him out before you guys go out there. You nod or say he can say whatever he wants, and B gets an extra line where Fergus laughs and says being told that could excite him like a horse.

 

Anyways Fergus asks if you've noticed yet in the short time the two of you have been fighting together, specifically the bit of hesitation he has while swinging his sword. You ask Fergus what he means, and Fergus looks over to his swords with a faint look of anguish in his eyes. He explains that his two patterned greatswords is without a doubt his artifact, which he describes as a partner that was with him everywhere in his home world, both in and out of battle. But ever since he came to Tokyo, as far as he remembers, it's never responded to him once. He can't use its power, so it's no wonder Kengo got fed up earlier. Fergus really couldn't use his full power back in that fight with him.

 

You call out Fergus's name in concern or stay quiet, and Fergus starts telling you he's sworn a number of geas back in his home world. He considers banquets and parties to be important things to him, and one of the geas he swore was to never refuse a party that gets loud and brings people together. You might think a contract with your own self might just be something like a charm, but it means a whole lot to Fergus. He wants to regain who he is as a warrior, then face Kengo again with his full power. And since Fergus was asked to go all out, he considers all this mayhem to be equal to a party. He has to rise up and respond to it, for that is his youth!

 

You tell Fergus you'll help him and say Kengo is hoping for that too, or you nod and look him in the eye. Either way, Fergus approves of your response and says he's falling for you. You are surprised by this, and Fergus laughs and says he means what he said. He's always been the type to crush on people easily since his time in his home world. You ask if he likes you as a friend or as something else, and Fergus starts saying something about what he thinks about falling in love with you again when he suddenly jumps like he got hit with lightning and stops talking. He thinks to himself as he wonders why he said 'again,' then figures he'll know why when this adolescence goes on.

 

Scene shifts over to the west end of Ikebukuro in front of the station area, and a bunch of mobs have acknowledged that they lost and hand over their chocolate to the winner. Shuten thanks them and compliments them for having done well, and the yaksha wishes him a happy Valentine's as she says she'll see him later. Shuten splits half of the gains with Kyuuma since he was part of that fight too. Kyuuma asks if he's sure since he credits most of the win to Shuten, which Shuten finds surprising as he says they won because of Kyuuma's help. Kyuuma reluctantly agrees with this, but then says he just did what Shuten told him to do.

 

Shuten calls Kyuuma methodical and says Ibaraki would have happily taken it if he were in his place. On second thought he might be mad about it since he seems weird about something, but Shuten sets the thought aside and tells Kyuuma to take the chocolate already. Kyuuma politely thanks him and accepts this time, and Shuten thinks to himself that something must be seriously wrong with Kyuuma since he's not his usual energetic self.

 

Kyuuma asks Shuten if he plans to keep sticking with him. He still thinks of himself as something of a loser, and he figures Shuten would be doing better if he were working on his own. He looks at his phone around this point and drops the thought midway to express surprise at how far away the top rankers on the charts are doing, enough that the phase might be over soon. Shuten says that's even more reason to try harder and suggests going to somewhere with a lot of people.

 

Kyuuma protests pessimistic about their chances, so Shuten asks Kyuuma about what he really wants. He also chides Kyuuma for not being the determined kouhai spouting lines about not giving up and making a comeback from behind, something he's sure Kyuuma would have done if they were playing one on one. Kyuuma is surprised by this and asks Shuten why he insists on sticking with him so much. Shuten talks about how Kyuuma is always hanging around with the jocks usually, but he noticed he was alone for once participating in the event. He doesn't know why he is, but he figures Kyuuma must have a reason to not be doing this with the jocks. He also seemed uneasy about something, so Shuten figured he'd accompany him.

 

Kyuuma protests that his own hesitations and worries don't really warrant having Shuten bother himself with him. Shuten says Kyuuma has something about him that shines greatly in his eyes, now that Shuten himself has let go of his own hesitation. He tells Kyuuma to get a hold of himself, so Kyuuma tries to focus before he gets surprised by David happily hugging him.

 

Scene shifts back to your end as you and Fergus reach the west end of Ikebukuro. Specifically, the two of you are at a large park over there that happens to be near where the Berserkers have set their guild base. It's a place where tons of different people stop by for a break, whether it be the weekday or the weekend. But with things being Valentine's today, things are different. A bunch of mobs are fighting each other and asking for the others' chocolates, and some apologize preemptively for possibly hurting them. Fergus is pleasantly surprised at the free for all brawl happening, and he laughs and suggests that the two of you go join in on the ultimate melee.

 

You express some worry about jumping into that chaotic mess of a fight, and suddenly you guys hear a scream that seems familiar. The voice yells about there being too many people beyond what he was expecting, and you pipe up to say you recognize the sound of that kouhai. Shuten and Kyuuma are around, and Shuten is mildly surprised at the number of people around and says it reminds him of the big battles at Oeyama. Kyuuma asks him for ideas since everyone is attacking them for their chocolates, and Shutten seems unconcerned as he says this is to be expected with them placing high on the rankings. Kyuuma is baffled at his reaction and says that they're stuck running since they're basically surrounded. Fergus asks if you know them as he comments on them being ganged on, so you either answer that they're your friends, a senpai and kouhai, or some people who are important to you. A and B has Fergus declare that friends help friends when they're in trouble. C has Fergus impressed instead as he says that's more reason to jump in.

 

Either way you nod and agree with Fergus. Fergus says that while this is a competition, helping takes priority so you guys should make an opening in the battle lines for them to escape through. The two of you then charge. Camera then jumps over to Kyuuma and Shuten again, and it takes Shuten a moment to figure out what all the extra noise is before he realizes you guys came to help. Kyuuma is surprised when Shuten points you out to him, and he asks why you're here. Shuten tells him to focus and act like a proper rival now, so Kyuuma does his best to get in head into gear as the episode battle begins. More happens after that.

 

After the battle, things pick up with you yelling as you cut an opening for Kyuuma and Shuten to run through. Shuten urges Kyuuma to get going, so Kyuuma does so but worries about being chased from behind. Randos try to stop them and go after Kyuuma since he's lagging. Fergus however steps in to cover his escape, and he says he won't hesitate to swing his sword for a friend before channeling Shimazu Yoshihiro with a yell of 'chesto.' He proceeds to create a blast of wind that blows a bunch of randos away that yell about how wild this is.

 

Fergus swings again, sending even more no namers yelling about this wild strike up in the air. This also has the added effect of making the chocolates of everyone he hit rain down, which Kyuuma is amazed about. Fergus tells Kyuuma to not look back and to keep running as he refers to him as your friend and someone he's fallen in love with. Kyuuma obeys, and once he goes Fergus roars towards the other fighters, yelling a farewell to youth before disengaging himself and leaving tons of baffled people in his wake.

 

You run full speed on a little bit later, not paying any attention to the chocolates as you pass by. Kyuuma talks to Fergus to express amazement again and asks who he is, so Fergus tells him he's a second year at Bukuro and gives his name. Kyuuma recognizes him as the famous ace in high school kendo people have talked about. You tell Kyuuma you're glad he's okay and ask what happened since you're surprised to see him with Shuten. Kyuuma sadly notes that you're always surrounded by notable people, and the episode ends with Fergus being surprised and his sword wavering as if feeling lost.

 

 

Live A Hero Valentine Cyber Wars Episode 2

Hisaki starts narrating as he talks about how hard he worked at his research, enough so that sometimes he worked without stopping to eat or sleep. He studied information technology, biological engineering, computer science, and communication technology. He reread his books in his field of study, running about trying to take the most optimum path to creating what he wanted to create. Hisaki says it's not good enough to make a new gadget to act as a middle man. That wouldn't be an easy thing to use, and it'd be hard to spread into wide usage. It needs to be simple enough that anyone can use it, something everyone can look at and go 'ah!' at.

 

Hisaki tried making tons of trial products, only to scrap them. A few times he ran into a dead end, but eventually Hisaki declares he's got something he's satisfied with. The product has limits on what it can trace, but it gets the main job done well enough. This is where he'll surprise everyone with his new invention that has gone to a place where no man has gone before! Hisaki then talks about how it's his life's goal to make something never seen before in the universe specifically on Earth, something that'll wow anybody. Earth is seen as late on the tech development curve in the eyes of the rest of the galaxy, so Hisaki wants to show them up given that he was raised on Earth. He wants his home to be seen and accepted by the universe, and he wants the same thing for himself.

 

Title card pops up, and this episode is called To Protect the Heart.

 

We then tune back to the present at the office as Hisaki has finished explaining what's been going on and what his job request for the agency is. And on the table is everyone's arm-mounted space smartphones. Akashi sighs as he says he sees. He doesn't get the underlying mechanics, but he gets that it's for the better that everyone's detached their phones for now. He's so used to wearing the thing that he never considered taking it off. Huckle talks about how convenient wearable tech has made things after being spread into society, like cashless transactions by confirming someone is alive, holographic phone calls using 3D tracing, and sending View Power to heroes. That convenience made it customary to wear them, and Huckle suggests that its creators might not have foreseen that they could go as far as to pick up nerve signals.

 

Hisaki explains that it wasn't known until just recently that the tech could read nerve signals. Brain signals are complex, and most people have said that something like Hisaki's system that could decipher and organize those signals into words was absolutely impossible. Ryekie points out that no one has invented anything like that until now though, so he asks how the criminals behind this incident could tamper with the system then. Wouldn't people generally think that someone just stole something that they had no understanding of and just made a mess of things with it?

 

Crowne suggests that this is probably being done by people who have researched into the same area but were unable to make anything to build a foundation off of. It's a bit like how Earth once did research into time machines in the past. The theoreticals and mechanics behind the research may have been completed, but the creation of the actual machine came to a deadlock. Then here comes Hisaki who has managed to create the machine that they couldn't, which must have been their big break. You either nod along and say you see, say that you don't get it, or comment that technological process can be scary.

 

Crowne says that the short version is that Hisaki's creation was stolen and modified, which is what's causing this current incident. Capturing the criminals who stole it is what you guys will need to do to put an end to things, and that's what Hisaki's asking you guys for help with. It's just not realistic to tell everyone to take off their wearable tech after all. Huckle agrees that it's a tough problem to solve, and that it wouldn't solve the underlying problem. This does run into the issue of you guys not knowing where the criminals are though.

 

Crowne says that Hisaki's already mentioned offscreen that the thief who hacked into his server has their location traced to somewhere specific, and the reason Hisaki is asking you guys for help instead of the police is because the criminals are a somewhat well known mafia group made up of villains, meaning people the police won't want to deal with. They're also some really crazy white collar criminals to break into Hisaki's server with all of its security and steal something from it.

 

Akashi comments that going to a mafia hideout to steal back the system sounds like something out of a spy movie, and Crowne says that the thought windows popping up and out like it has been is proof that it's still incomplete and unstable. You guys will have to either destroy or steal back their server before the system is completed, and to do that you guys need helpers for the job. That's what Hisaki wanted to ask you guys to do, and Crowne asks if you guys would do it.

 

Hisaki adds that he won't let the criminals go for stealing the masterpiece he cut back on sleep for, then tampering with it themselves and using it for crimes. He doesn't know what the big idea is, but he swears to beat them down for it. Huckle sympathizes but asks him to calm down, so Hisaki apologizes for getting worked up. Crowne says it's fine, and that it's more like himself than being depressed about things. The Hisaki she knows is someone careless, shallow, and quick to get carried away.

 

Hisaki protests that her description of him doesn't sound flattering in the least. He does agree that he can't sit there and be sad; he should be working towards getting things solved instead. He declares that he'll get his research back with his own hands. Crowne approves as she points out that 'never give up' is Hisaki's motto. Hisaki nods, then laughs about how Crowne's never the type to help people feel better by pampering them. You point out that Hisaki seems to have bounced back onto his feet, express relief that he's okay, and/or say he's a simple kind of guy.

 

Akashi comments his surprise that a researcher and inventor reacts a lot more like someone with a more physically active life style, though he notes Crowne's the same way. Crowne asks him what his image is of science background people, then says the stereotype of gloomy, delicate eggheads is only just a portion of the people out there. Hisaki describes research as something you need guts, tenacity, and courage for. Sure, you need a head that can think and process things, but it's good to have physical strength too. There are plenty of scientists who come from a physical-oriented background, and he used to play football back as a student. He's about to mention what Crowne used to do as a high schooler when Crowne threatens him with a smile into silence. You either say Crowne's eyes are freaking you out, wonder aloud what it is she did, or comment that Hisaki playing football tracks with his body build.

 

Ryekie laughs as he comments on how well Crowne and Hisaki get along, then asks if they've known each other for a long time. Crowne answers that they were just stuck with each other as Hisaki was her kouhai back in college in America when they were in the same lab. She knew he was the esteemed son of the head of Yodobashi Industries, but she never expected to live in the same city as him when she came to Japan. She also expresses surprise that Hisaki also dabbled in information technology along with his specialty in space engineering.

 

Hisaki brags that it's something he could pull off as he's a genius. He's so smart that he skipped grades earlier in school and was the valedictorian, but Crowne brings up he was also the record breaking dumbass who blew up a lab and had to drop out. His dad beat his ass in when he returned to Japan after that, and Hisaki protests in shock that Crowne promised never tell anyone that. Akashi is taken aback to hear this and asks what sort of research Hisaki was doing. You comment that Hisaki does seem smart, but he also seems to be missing something. You also express an interest in knowing what Akashi was asking about too.

 

Huckle talks about Crowne being the intermediary for Hisaki's coming to put in a job request. He's glad to take it on, but he points out that you guys don't have enough people for it. He'll need to make calls to ask for reinforcements, but he's not sure how many people will turn up at the end of that. You ask if things are that serious, suggest calling in the wolfman, or nod that it is what it is. B gets an extra line where Huckle says this would be a good time to call him in, but it'd take him a while to get here. He's living in the space boonies on the moon, so the quickest he could get here is in half a day. But anyways Huckle talks some more about how the current situation means that the heroes of UEHA (whatever United Earth Heroes Dispatch is) are going to be busy with their day jobs. Anyone else is probably caught up in something too in all likelihood, so that narrows down who'd show up for a request for help. He decides he may as well roll the dice and see then.

 

Scene then shifts over to Orient City's coastal district's third elementary school, specifically class 4-2. Some fourth grader excitedly chatters about giving their fancy chocolate to someone and wonders on the prospect of them getting the person they like to like them back and make out with them. Some other kid tells Kid A to stop since they already told someone in class (4?)-3 they liked them. Kid A takes offense at B reading their thoughts and tells B to go out with the class president already since they like them so much. Kyoichi attempts to break up the fight and says it's fine for people to like whoever they like. Now that class is over, he tells everyone that they should go straight home and mentions that school will be closed tomorrow. Kyoichi moves to open the door when one of the students works up the nerve to try to talk to him. Kyoichi looks sad as he stays quiet for a moment, then tells them not to worry about things and go home. Said kid gives up on what they were going to say and obeys. Once he's out in the hallway, Kyoichi sighs as he rubs the back of his head and says things have been awful today. The kids are at the age where they're sensitive to love affairs, but he's still unsure of how to handle it. He thinks on it some more before his phone beeps, and he's surprised to see his agency has sent him a help request form.

 

Scene then shifts to the north side of Orient City where Orient City University is and tunes in at one of the literature study rooms. Shouen is sitting on his feet in front of some calligraphy paper, calming his heart as he starts to write with his ink brush. A noise from outside surprises him into dropping his brush, which causes him to make a big round stain. Some guy is pleading for someone to let him explain himself, but another guy refuses to listen because of the two-timing that was done. A girl attempts to break up the argument and says she likes one of the guys despite the two timing, but the guy calls her a manstealer and says her thought window is betraying that she's trying to get brownie points. Shouen comments on there being some jealous passion on a day that's supposed to be about giving love, and the idea of love depresses him for some reason. He tries to clear his head saying writing with those sentiments would be rude, and he takes a breath before trying to write again when he notices a message from his agency.

 

Scene shifts again over to the arrivals lobby of Orient City's international space airport. Some news reporter has finished talking about some Earth resource development coming from Raidark and Archimedes before moving on to talk about the first day of the long holiday of the moon's pioneering memorial. Flamier turns out to be at that airport as she sighs and says she hasn't been here since Christmas and is glad it's clear out. She comments that she can't go see her father while wearing her lab coat for some reason, so she hopes that she'll have some time to change before they go eat together.

 

Flamier continues walking through the airport pulling a suitcase behind her as she looks around. Someone is supposed to be there to pick her up, so she wonders where she should go when she stops in surprise upon seeing a commotion nearby. Some souvenir shopkeep is yelling at a guy for shoplifting since his thought window said he was doing so, and the thief is surprised by the window as he tries to get rid of it before running. There's also a couple fighting, with one woman getting mad at the other for ditching her for some Lunarian lady. The second tries to pull away and blames the window exposing her like this for what's happening.

 

Flamier asks in surprise as to what's going on, then gets a ping about a message from her agency. She acts resigned that it must be some sort of fate at work for this job to come to her just as she touches down on Earth, and a chauffeur walks up to Flamier and apologizes for keeping the young mistress waiting. He offers to take her luggage and attempts to lead the way, but Flamier apologizes and asks him to just take her luggage as she has some sudden work to attend to. She also asks him to pass on to her father that she'll see him another day as she excuses herself. The chauffeur attempts to protest, but she's gone soon after leaving him to wonder how to break the news.

 

Scene shifts back to Parallel Flight where two teachers/heroes have responded to Huckle's request for backup. Huckle talks about how the whole city is in chaos so every agency must be backed up, but it's still commendable that Heroic Educators was still able to send help your way, so he thanks the two for coming. Kyoichi enthusiastically says he'll help and that he wants to solve things as soon as possible for his students. Shouen says he can't turn a blind eye to people exposing what people keep inside their hearts, so he aims to be as much help as he can be. You either cheer at Kyoichi's presence, ask if Shouen is angry, or ask where Toshu is.

 

In A, Kyoichi says this must be fate and says he'll be counting on you again. In B, Shouen apologizes in surprise that he gave you that impression. In C, Akashi notes that Toshu is usually with them and wonders the same thing. Shouen explains that Toshu was getting distressed about how inexperienced he was due to what the incident was doing to him, so he ran off to the mountains in Shinshuu to train under a waterfall to focus his mind. Akashi is surprised at this and asks what happened, then brings up that you could die if you do something wrong while standing under a waterfall in the winter. Kyoichi says Toshu is tough, so he should be fine...probably.

 

In any case, Kyoichi comments that the job this time sounds like something from a spy movie, though it's not the first time he's done something like this. Akashi is surprised and says he said the same thing, so Kyoichi calls him cute and says they must be on the same wavelength. Akashi immediately backs away from him, only to express more surprise when Kyoichi doesn't make a move. Kyoichi doesn't get what he means until a second later, then asks if Akashi actually wants him to do so. Akashi denies it in shock and says he just moved out of habit since this is what normally happens. Kyoichi teases him and says he's a proper adult who knows how to act in public, so Akashi apologizes for acting the way he did. At that point Kyoichi's thought window pops up and blabs that now that Akashi put that thought in his head, Akashi is looking pretty hot as always.

 

Kyoichi attempts to apologize and say it's an inevitability, but Akashi refuses to accept it as he pounds him for a bit. Ryekie is unconcerned about this and compliments Akashi for getting better at taking someone down with a body blow. Hisaki is shocked that Ryekie would pay attention to that and tells them to stop cutting into their manpower before anything even begins. Akashi apologizes and says he just started acting without thinking once he saw that Kyoichi had been thinking about it after all. You either lament about some promise, point out that Kyoichi didn't actually vocalize his thoughts this time, or say he's as perverted as ever.

 

Shouen says nothing, but his thought window comments on this being karma. You note that Shouen's quiet even in his thoughts and are amazed at that. Huckle then remembers at this point to ask Shouen and Kyoichi to take off their wearable tech for as much as possible when they aren't transformed since that will keep the thought windows from popping up. Crowne is baffled he didn't think to tell them earlier, at which point the bell rings.

 

Huckle wonders who could be at the door, and Kyoichi gets up and says it's probably another one of their heroes. He explains that when the agency sent out the help call, she happened to come into town at that point, so she chose to respond. You wonder who this person could be, and Ryekie comes back from the door and informs Kyoichi that he was right that another person from Heroic Educators has turned up. Flamier walks in after him, apologizing for being late as she greets and bows to everyone. You either recognize Flamier in surprise, ask if she's a hero, or ask who she is. B and C get an extra line where Akashi also expresses surprise at Flamier being a hero and says she doesn't look like it.

 

Flamier introduces herself to everyone with her full name Flamier R. Astridam. Hisaki recognizes her last name after a moment, which surprises Crowne as she asks if she knows the rich young lady looking girl. Hisaki declares that everyone in the space development business knows that name, and Flamier is surprised and asks if he knows about her father's company. You ask about the company and ask if Flamier is actually some high society lady.

 

Kyoichi explains that Flamier is the daughter of the head of Archimedes, one of the leading conglomerates in the solar system alongside Raidark, the space development company that's built Orient City. Flamier herself works as a high school chemistry teacher on the moon though. Akashi is surprised to hear that Flamier comes from a rich family and asks why she'd go into superheroics herself, but Ryekie laughs and says your familial circumstances don't matter when it comes to being a hero as he turns to Huckle. Huckle agrees, though he's surprised he still remembers about his home.

 

At this point, Hisaki is surprised that he's getting a call now, and when he looks at his phone he finds it's from his father. The phone projects what looks like a relatively young Earthling man, who talks to Hisaki in a panic after trying so hard to call him and says everyone is afraid. Hisaki asks him to slow down and calm down since he isn't keeping up with what he's saying. Akashi observes that Hisaki is clearly talking to an Earthling even if he called him dad, and he notes that Hisaki having the name Yodobashi Hisaki sounds a lot like an Earthling's name. Hisaki clearly does not look the part, so Akashi wonders what's up with that. You agree that that's true and wonder if Hisaki is a hybrid or say he must have a complicated home life.

 

Hisaki looks increasingly concerned as his conversation goes on, and he says he'll head over right away and asks that everyone not make a move there. Hisaki then gets off the phone and asks for everyone's help, as sudden as it is. Suspicious people have been spotted trying to get into one of their factories, which he believes might be the villain group.

 

Time passes as everyone goes over to the main office factory entrance at the west side of the city. Villain looking mobs with Parallel Weapons are over there, and they immediately shoot upon seeing you guys. One of the shots grazes Akashi, who says it'll be hard to get in at the moment. Hisaki however gets indignant at them trying to occupy his home and walks up to the mobs. The mobs demand to know who he is and say they won't show mercy depending on what he says, but Hisaki in response demands to know what the mobs are doing here. The mob answers that they don't care about the factory, they only care about Hisaki's room. Hisaki says he has even less reason to go easy on them for messing with his room, and the mob quickly figures out who he's talking to before trying to capture him.

 

Hisaki calls his agency for a transformation, and once he changes he brags about how it won't be easy to take an ex-fullback. You are surprised to find out that Hisaki is a hero, and Hisaki panics upon remembering that he forgot to set up the cameras, forcing him to back up as the mobs shoot at him. Whatever he was planning to do, he doesn't have enough of a view count to use. Akashi is exasperated with Hisaki and says he'll go in too, so he asks you to transform him. You quickly comply and/or sigh about how much of a handful Hisaki is being.

 

Shouen says he'll go fight too and asks you to transform him. Once the two of them are suited up, Akashi declares he's coming to back Hisaki up, and he and Shouen run over to his side. Kyoichi looks preoccupied with something, which Flamier asks about. Kyoichi starts saying it's the villains' fault that terrible things are happening to his students as he glares angrily at them like he's never done before, which causes your phone to light up differently than usual. You ask what the light is or recognize it from what happened at Christmas. B gets an extra bit for narration to confirm that it is the light that lit up when Ryekie got his alternate form.

 

Kyoichi asks you to transform him, and as surprised as you are you roll with it and wonder what will happen. After you press the button, Kyoichi is suited up in his super agent form, which shocks him. Akashi is also surprised to see it and asks him what happened, so Kyoichi says he doesn't know and was just thinking about the suffering his students were going through. Shouen understands after a moment that this must be a new transformation coming in response to a different wish than normal. Kyoichi decides to just get on with it and yells that the villains are the reason his students are having such big problems. He'll make them regret it, even if he has to force them to do so. The mob seems offended that he'd say that without knowing what their goals is, but he challenges Kyoichi back.

 

Flamier asks you to transform her, so you say it's fine but ask if she'll be okay. Flamier points out that the villains have numbers, so you guys will need to balance it out. She also adds that the smell of drifting gunpowder is...really exciting her. You freak out at her reaction, but transform her as requested. After Flamier suits up, she asks you to take command Master as she heads out, and her thought window pops up showing her thinking about wanting to make a lot of fire blossoms bloom. You comment that Flamier is one dangerous lady.

 

The mobs observe that there are now five heroes on the field, but they scoff that it changes nothing. Hisaki brags that he's not to be underestimated as he calls himself a scientific genius and superhero, but Akashi can't believe he'd call himself a genius like that. Shouen asks Kyoichi if he'll be fine fighting with a different weapon than usual, so Kyoichi says he'll learn as he goes. If it came out of his mind he ought to be able to figure it out. Shouen nods at that and says he's going in, and Flamier giggles about making dizzying flowers appear. The episode battle then begins as you tell everyone it's go time or comment that one of you guys is saying some scary things.

 

Live A Hero Valentine Cyber Wars Episode 1

Things begin somewhere in the Japanese sea close to the coast out in the Pacific Ocean on the dawn of February 13. Some unseen evil sounding criminal leader addresses his underlings and says that tomorrow is the day they start taking a step towards fulfilling their dearest wish. Whatever it is they plan to do, the leader says the effects will show themselves to the twenty million rats living in Orient City. The incarnation of evil Raidark will pay for the humiliation they suffered long ago, and while these guys are at it, why don't they all sit back and enjoy the birth of a new era on the Unified Earth as the idea of mutual trust collapses? And once everyone's done killing each other, why don't they move in and take over all the broken land for themselves afterward? The speechifying man raises his weapon up, then declares to his enthusiastic underlings that it's time to show the world the most terrifying weapon that is the heart!

 

Title card pops up, and this episode is called The Day of Reckoning is 2/14.

 

Camera then tunes in to Hisaki as he's proudly holding a presentation of his new product to a bunch of media reporters. You are watching this through a livestream of this, and the video is showing these reporters sitting down as they listen to Hisaki. A pop up window is hanging above them displaying their questions and replies as the event goes on. The presentation then shows the image of some hospital bed, and a patient incapable of speaking has a window above them and is using that to communicate with their friends and doctors instead. A final example scene of this product in action then has a planet in development where the natives who do not speak Common and negotiaters that do using the window to conduct business.

 

Hisaki then explains that his product can make it so that people can communicate just by thinking, with an AI collecting your thoughts and putting them into order. With this, we can now enter an era where people who can't speak Common for whatever reason can communicate without issue! Hisaki's company plans on developing the system some more and release it for commercial sale by the end of the year. A reporter asks if they can ask Hisaki a question, and when Hisaki gives the OK, the reporter brings up how society currently already has brain scanning technology that scans the frontal lobe and cerebrum to project a hologram of you. Hisaki's tech would be building on this tech further to create a pop up conversation window, so the reporter asks if there are any ethical problems or dangers associated with this even with the brain tracing happening. Does it have any preventative measures from, say, accidentally outing yourself about something?

 

Hisaki explains that his tech system works by reading a person's short term thought processes, and he compares this to it reading only the memory portion of a computer's processing. Anything a person wants to keep private will not be picked up on by this tech. On the off chance that something like that might slip by, an adaptive learning AI filtering system will be running simultaneously while active. Since Hisaki intends for the product as a conductive assistant tool for business negotiations, he's developing it to shut out irrelevant thoughts from displaying.

 

The reporter thanks Hisaki for the explanation, and others in the audience start talking aloud about how this could actually be useful if it does word your thoughts before you've finished putting them together. They also express amazement that Yodobashi Industries might actually try branching out into the networking business. Hisaki looks pleased with himself and laughs a little as everyone talks among themselves, but then one of the thought windows expresses doubt about this product working out well since Hisaki's so young. Hisaki is surprised to see this, and the reporter the thoughts belong to tries to explain it away in a panic.

 

Some other reporter's thoughts pop up and say the first guy is rude, since you can't say those things on live TV. They do sympathize with him, but they also think about how Hisaki looks fun to play with ever since they saw him. Reporter B freaks out about this, then remembers seeing something like this before and concludes this must be Hisaki's system at work. Hisaki attempts to deny it by saying that the system isn't actually on in the presentation site, and a window pops up demanding an answer as to why then. Meanwhile, someone else turns out to have mentally checked out as the window blabs their thoughts about wanting to leave since they had a date today.

 

Hisaki freaks out as he tries to figure out what's going on since the windows are displaying thoughts that he's sure people aren't having right this moment. He then realizes the system is tracing thoughts from the whole brain, which he is in disbelief about since it should only stick to scanning the frontal lobe. In his panic, Hisaki fiddles with his arm mounted terminal, which causes a bunch more windows to pop up. He figures out it's not on at all, which he can't understand since he says he's supposed to be the only one to know how to activate it. He doesn't even know why this is happening either since nothing like this has happened before.

 

As all this goes on, the presentation turns chaotic with all the wailing of the seventh circle of hell. One reporter tries their best to empty their mind while another worries about getting chewed out by their old geezer of a boss, which gets laid out to see by window pop ups. The two freak out upon noticing this, and one of them yells about not being able to go back to their office now. Hisaki freaks out some more about this being impossible even if it were a malfunction, and he repeats his disbelief to himself a few more times before the feed cuts out.

 

Scene then tunes in over at Parallel Flight where you guys are watching and eating take out burgers as the TV announcer uncomfortably cites technical difficulties before switching to commercial. Akashi comments on things turning into a mess towards the end and wonders if everyone over at the presentation is okay. You either agree that the thing was a trainwreck, ask Akashi to pass you some ketchup, or say Hisaki might be your type. In A, Akashi calls it a broadcasting accident and worries that something like that might happen to him tomorrow too now that he's seen it. In B, Akashi is disappointed you aren't paying attention, but he complies and warns you it's already open. He also asks if you want mustard. In C, Akashi is shocked that that's what you were paying attention to as he says you never do change.

 

Anyways, Huckle thinks aloud about having a window that writes out your thoughts for you would be an interesting development in technology before commenting that his burger is spicy today since there's a lot of onions in it. Ryekie on the other hand is on the phone and says he'll pass it over, then tells you Mokdai wants to talk to you. You react with surprise as you pick up the phone from him, then start talking. Mokdai apologizes for calling during your break and says it's nothing important. He's out on a four day vacation to go back home, though he started to worry about the office. You can either call him a workaholic, tell him things are fine, or say you're sad when he's not there. In A, Mokdai winces but says that might be true, though he knows how important it is to have a private life. In B, Mokdai laughs and thanks you. He saw your battle earlier while he was on the train and says you did good out there. In C, Mokdai blushes and considers coming back a little early, so Akashi tells you to stop joking since Mokdai's the type to take it seriously.

 

Mokdai tells you he just got off at Hakata Station, and he's about to meet up with his friends to go eat out at the Tenjin area. He promises to bring back souvenirs and offers to take requests when one of his friends calls out to him to hurry it up. Mokdai tells him to line up ahead of him in the local dialect, which he keeps up for a moment when he turns back before remembering to switch to Tokyo Standard. Since a friend is waiting he'll be hanging up, and he asks you to send a message if anything comes up, then ends the call. Akashi asks you about how Mokdai is doing, so you say he's fine, say he worried about how the office was doing, or say his accent was nice. In A, Akashi is glad and hopes he enjoys his time off. In B, Akashi is surprised but says that's like him, but he hopes he relaxes on his break. In C, Akashi nods along for a second before he stops and says that wasn't what he was asking.

 

Ryekie talks about how Mokdai is from Fukuoka and brought back mentaiko/cod roe once, which he'd like to have again. It goes great with booze, and it really gets him raring to go. Akashi sputters scandalized at this and asks what Ryekie saying there in the agency. Ryekie doesn't get what he means and asks what what's so weird about talking about what gives him the energy to work. Akashi goes oh at finding out that's what he meant, so you either ask what Akashi thought he did mean, tease him for being at that age, or call him dirty minded. A has Akashi claim it's nothing as he tells you to stop asking him since it embarrasses him. B and C has Akashi get really flustered as he tells you to stop looking at him like that.

 

Huckle points out to Akashi that some pie is sticking to his clothes, and after Akashi looks he gets surprised and mentions how much chocolate gets into things. Ryekie is surprised to hear that there's chocolate pie before remembering that Valentine's Day is tomorrow. Akashi says chocolate pie was added as a seasonal item because of that, so he picked it up for dessert. Huckle talks about how the smell of chocolate is everywhere in the city at this time of year, which can be distracting. It also reminds him of his surprise back when he first came to Earth and heard of the custom of giving chocolate and gifts to those you care about and want to thank. You either ask Akashi if he's giving chocolate to anybody, ask Ryekie if he can eat chocolate, or ask Huckle if he has plans tomorrow.

 

In A, Akashi is surprised to be asked that, but he admits he probably will. He asks if you will be giving chocolate to anyone yourself, and Huckle laughs to the side about how caring about that is a sign of youth. In B, Ryekie answers that he can, though he likes spicy things more than sweet things. He then talks about eating all the chocolate his fans send him, only to be thrown off by your expression and asks why you're making a face at him. In C, Huckle says he'll be going to work here as usual. If you want to give him something he says he's ready to accept whenever, only to say he was joking as he asks that you not take that seriously. In any case, the day then comes to an end without issue.

 

The next day, you get up and walk up to the mirror to get ready for the day, and you comment that it looks nice out, hope that things will be peaceful today, or mumble about being sleepy still. Whichever you pick gets repeated by a pop up text window that appears above your head like a speech bubble or chat window, and it takes a moment for you to process that in surprise. You think about how it popped out with what you were thinking before trying to make it go away. The window disappears after it finishes displaying your thoughts, and you start remembering that disastrous presentation you saw the day before. You wonder aloud as to why this window is happening to you now, but at that moment your phone alarm starts ringing, which reminds you that you need to get ready to go.

 

Outside, the thought window is affecting other people as well. One person thinks about being hungry despite having natto rice for breakfast, another person thinks about a hole opening in their sock and hopes no one noticed, and someone else is thinking about someone next to them being caked in makeup. Said person notices that thought and takes offense, so the original person protests about them reading their thoughts. Some storeowner gets mad at something thinking his veggies are expensive, so the guy he's talking to says it just came to mind when he saw the price tag before getting mad he read his thoughts. You worry about things turning to hell as the window problem isn't just happening to you as you continue making your way to work.

 

Over at the train station, one person thinks about how crowded the place is and wonders if the train is coming yet. Someone else is thinking that some lady next to them is wearing a lot of perfume and wishes they'd go away. She gets mad and tells him to go away instead, but he argues that she shouldn't yell from so close to him. A station worker attempts to break the fight up, but his thought window reveals he feels he's not paid enough to deal with this nonsense.

 

The guy the station worker is talking to complains that he had to pay an arm and a leg for a season pass, so he doesn't want to hear about it. The station worker apologizes profusely over this, an announcement is made on the speakers informing everyone that the entire train line is delayed due to conflicts happening between passengers. Random passengers have pop up windows expressing their frustration at the train workers over this, and tensions rise among the morning rush crowd. You worry about how bad things are turning out and think about taking a taxi to work instead, and as you turn around you almost slip on something.

 

It turns out you slipped on what would have been a nicely wrapped up box of chocolate, but so many people have stepped on it at this point that the box has broken and chocolate has spilled out. What would normally be a day full of positive emotions like gratitude and affection as presents are given is now filling with negative emotions pointed at other people. You comment aloud about things turning into a mess, and things aren't any better outside as you end up late for work.

 

When you do make it to the agency, you throw out a greeting and an apology for your tardiness as you say you're dead tired. Huckle greets you back, a bit tired himself as he says it's fine since he knows why you're late. He sighs as he goes back to his phone call, and he repeats what he was told about Sui locking herself in her room so the delivery will be late. Huckle says it's fine since Mokdai is out on vacation, then asks Maculata how things are with her. Huckle's pop up window has him internally sighing some more about what a mess everything is, and you note that Huckle is bothered too, think about this place being affected too, and think about Sui locking herself away.

 

Akashi is sitting over on the sofa, looking gloomy as he greets you. You either greet him back or ask about him looking depressed. A has Akashi ask if you got caught up in the chaos before saying it was rough. B has Akashi deny being down in some surprise and say bothered is more correct in his case. Either way Akashi questions what the pop up window is, since while it doesn't show up all the time it does come out at the most inconvenient times. He remembers how it's like what happened at that TV presentation when he glances at your face, at which point his thought window blabs that he feels better when he sees you. Akashi freaks out in embarrassment at this and tells you to stop looking at him as he desperately tries to hide it. You either casually accept this, claim you saw nothing, or tell Akashi you're happy to hear that. In A, Akashi is confused by your reaction but tells you to stop looking. In B, Akashi calms down a little but wonders why he's feeling conflicted about this now. In C, Akashi gets shocked as he accuses you of teasing him.

 

Ryekie loudly announces his return as he slams the door open. Huckle is taken aback at this and tells him to consider that he might be on the phone, though thankfully he just ended his call. Ryekie apologizes about this and says he never thought about it. You either greet Ryekie or ask if he came back from some sales work. In A, Ryekie greets you back and notes that things are rough out there. In B, Ryekie confirms as such and says that while it was tough, he shouldn't break promises.

 

Huckle thanks Ryekie for his work and asks how things were at the job site. Ryekie answers that it was also a chaotic mess over there, and his accompanying thought window repeats exactly what he's said. You and Huckle are surprised by this, and the window continues doing so as Ryekie talks about how everyone's thoughts getting broadcasted is throwing a wrench into the company workflow. Talks did progress but at great strife, and he sighs about being unable to think quietly.

 

Akashi reacts with amazed shock that Ryekie's thoughts and words are completely unchanged from each other, and Huckle starts calling Ryekie simple minded before thanking him for not being two-sided. Ryekie is taken aback at this and asks if this is supposed to be a compliment, and Crowne walks in, announcing her presence and saying it's bad out there. You either welcome Crowne or ask curiously about her not ringing the bell. A gets an extra line where Crowne greets you and notes that you still seem alright.

 

Crowne gets irritated as she turns to Ryekie and says it must have been him who left the door open, and she asks what would he have done if someone awful walked in. Ryekie apologizes about this and says he's made a lot of mistakes since he had to think about a lot of things at the sales job. Huckle greets Crowne and notes that she seems to be doing okay, or perhaps more accurately is the same as ever. Crowne says she's the type to speak her mind as soon as she thinks something, so the current incident isn't particularly an issue for her. She then talks about bringing a job to you guys, one that comes from the person with the biggest problem in this incident even with all the problems happening now.

 

You ask who this person could be, so Crowne gets a little irritated and prompts them to stop standing there and come in already. A slightly cowed voice answers back before entering, and Hisaki walks in and introduces himself by his full name. Akashi recognizes Hisaki from the televised presentation, as do you as you react in shock to him being here. Alternatively you cheer about Hisaki being fluffy, which brings up an extra bit of him being surprised by you suddenly touching him before enjoying how good you are at it. Akashi gets shocked as he tells you to stop and apologizes to Hisaki saying you're just like that.

 

Anyways, Hisaki sighs as narration says it is indeed him who's there, though he's showing none of the confidence he had when he started his presentation. Crowne says he's usually a lot more talkative, though she understands why he wouldn't be now. It is his invention causing this incident after all. Huckle asks if this means Hisaki is at fault for everything, so Hisaki quickly denies it and pleads for you guys to believe his innocence. He's not surprised you'd think that since everyone who saw the show thought the same thing. Crowne doesn't know what people have been saying to him, but they have been taking their toll on him. And since he hasn't been acting like himself, she's dragged him over. You ask who is responsible for what's happening then, so Hisaki says that's the problem he wants you guys to help him with. He balls his fists together as he bows down to you guys, and the episode ends with him requesting that you guys assist him with solving this terrorism.
