Valentine Timeslip Episode 4 Part 1

Heracles starts narrating about how he was a hero since he was born and was always called one. However, he’s never felt that he was braver than anyone else. It’s not being brave to challenge someone you know you can win against after all. Then there’s all the trials he was imposed with by the oracle. He fought as commanded, and achieved victory as commanded. He vanquished, studied under, and served others as he was told to, going through what other people would call hardships.

 

When Heracles was ordered to be a slave for three years, he thought that his nature didn’t change. He just kept working like he was ordered to like before, and he’d produce results quickly as a matter of fact. Heracles says that he’s sure there’s a part of him that believes he’s worthless if he can’t bring in results. He’s sure that being kept constantly busy was his way of keeping his mind off his situation and getting on with things.

 

Heracles says he never noticed the important thing that was buried under all those days. He says that being a slave is what allowed him to see, along with his meeting with you all. It was from your discussions about that topic and your wills to keep trying. You guys were the ones who taught him how precious it was. It sunk into the sea of memories of his endless battles, and Heracles says he’s sure he wanted to be in love like Echo is. It’s a heart pounding thing without a clear end, and he says he wants to be a real hero like her.

 

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Platonic Decoration.

 

Things tune back to the present with you waking on the forest ground again. Barguest bangs his head yet again, and after he comments on being returned he asks how many times it’s been. Snow and Gyumao walk over, and Snow answers that this would be the fourth round. He also comments on how hard it is to make chocolate to express your feelings. Gyumao says you guys can’t stop here though and suggests heading back to the base.

 

Echo stops in her tracks to stare at the spring, and Heracles asks if something is wrong. Echo asks if everyone will hear her out on the way back to base, and you ask what’s on her mind. Echo thanks you for listening and gets ready to talk.

 

Scene shifts to the outside of the forest as Echo apologizes for failing again. She says she understands now that she doesn’t know much about love. After talking with everyone she says she has a lot of things she needs to think about. This includes herself, everyone else, and Narcissus. Heracles seems sad for her.

 

Echo continues by asking if everyone will give her some more time, saying it feels like she’s almost found the answer regarding love. Her eyes tear up, though there is no sign of sadness on her face. Everyone can pick up on how strongly she wants to convey her feelings. You either say she should think on it without rushing it, say nothing so far has been a waste, or be confident that she’ll figure things out.

 

Barguest walks over to Echo and says she’s misunderstood something. It’s not like the rest of the party has given up on things. Snow walks up next and says this is only the fourth round and that Echo’s lessons on love are making progress. Gyumao says success is built off of repeated failures and assures Echo that she’s getting somewhere. Echo is touched by everyone’s support, and Heracles comments that she’s amazing.

 

Scene then shifts to the base as you all make it there. Snow says it didn’t take long after listening to Echo speak and offers to put on tea for everyone. Echo says she’s like to get started on making chocolate right away. Barguest says it’s nice that she’s motivated but with the time reversal just happening, you guys only have the cacao and chocolate machine. It’s fine if you guys know where to find things, but the wrapping and stuff were found by coincidence last time.

 

Heracles speaks up and says that might not be a problem this time. You ask him what he means, so Heracles talks about how he thought he couldn’t do anything to help everyone. But then he found something when he checked the back of the base. Gyumao says Heracles isn’t very articulate and asks if there’s something he doesn’t understand. Heracles asks everyone to check the next room over since that will clear things up, which confuses the party.

 

When everyone does as Heracles asks, Snow notices that there’s a lot of chocolate molds set up. Barguest notes the ingredients like fruit, berries, sugar, and there’s even decorations. Gyumao says there’s wrappings like wrapping paper, ribbons, and message cards too. Echo says it’s beautiful, and you either ask what’s happening one of two ways or note that you guys have everything you need.

 

Heracles says he doesn’t know why himself, but he found it all at the back of the base. He then just brought it all over, then asks if they’re the embodiment of Echo’s feelings. Snow supposes that the previous go arounds, the corrective force had found all those things first, and Barguest asks if it was all set in the back this time so you guys could get to them first. Gyumao says common sense is out the window, but with everything here you guys can get started. He says the first thing to do is to boil some water to disinfect things...

 

Heracles says he doesn’t know how to use any of the things, but he can at least help with boiling. Also compared to the things he had to do before, this is the sort of thing he can do before breakfast. Snow is about to offer to handle all that before understanding something. Heracles confirms his guess and says he wants to do this since he wants to help Echo. You either ask him to work together with you guys, suggest helping Echo together, or ask him what he had to do in the past.

 

Going C, Heracles explains that says he became a slave for three years due to an oracle by Omphale. He’s been looking for a master to serve, but he hasn’t found anyone like that as he wandered around, then ended up in here. He also mentions having an interest in sewing and needlework that he never did much of as a hero.

 

Anyways Heracles says he’ll do his best. Echo asks what’s happening, so Snow says it seems to be the power of her thoughts. Put another way, her thoughts of wanting to change the outcome have gotten stronger. Echo parrots back the idea that she wished for this as a question.

 

Snow says that her wish is opposite to how this world is set up and wonders what effect it’d have on a world manifested from memories that aren’t supposed to change. Barguest suggests that in the worst case, the place could collapse because it can’t maintain itself. You either ask if the wish to change will erode the memories or ask if the world will be destroyed.

 

Echo is shocked by the possibility and says it can’t happen. Heracles says it’s finally looking like a trial, as the world can’t keep existing for much longer. Snow tells Echo to be careful since she can’t rush the results like every other time. There’s still some time at least, and he offers to help Echo find her answer.

 

Barguest wishes her luck and says she’ll need to convey her feelings after coming so far. Gyumao also suggests getting started since time is money, even if there’s still some time left. Heracles offers to do any manual labor and then, after thinking some more, dishwashing. You also cheer Echo on saying it’ll work this time, and maybe tell her to dry her tears first. Echo thanks everyone for their help.

 

The party splits up to do their things. Snow and Barguest are off checking the state of the world after planting the cacao. Gyumao and Heracles are coming up with new ideas together, leaving you and Echo at the spring. You ask if Echo is okay with being there, comment that Narcissus isn’t there yet, or ask why she wanted to go there.

 

In A, Echo says she’s fine and thanks you for worrying about her. In any case she starts talking about how it was here that she saw Narcissus for the first time. When she thinks about that time she starts wanting to think about what to give him. Now she feels like the two of them can face each other, and she apologizes for dragging you here with her.

 

Echo takes a moment to look at the spring and the nearby flowers. She says he was beautiful, just as the rumors said. And yet despite being surrounded by love, she said he seemed lonely. Echo says she felt the same way, even with all the friends she had in the forest. She did her best to fit in with everyone, yet she still felt lonely when she was supposed to be having fun.

 

Echo talks some more about watching Narcissus and how he looked with that expression, which led to her wondering about how he felt. You either ask if that’s where her crush started, comment on her taking an interest in him, or say you know what that loneliness is like.

 

Going A, Echo says yes as that was when she started thinking about him all the time. She never felt like that before and had no idea what to do. In C, she expresses surprise that you’d feel that way too. In any case Heracles shows up, and Echo notices him. He apologizes for overhearing what she was talking about, but Echo says it’s fine since she asked him to come. She also thanks him for carrying things. You either comment on how much stuff he brought or be amazed that he brought it all in one shot.

 

Echo explains that just before she came over she started thinking about whether there were other gift ideas. Heracles then told her he’d bring things over later to the spring. Heracles himself says he thought it might be a good idea to think somewhere more significant to her memories rather than at the base. Echo comments on how much he brought and wonders if she asked him for all that. Heracles says he brought extra things that interested him, then apologizes for acting inappropriately.

 

Echo says it’s okay and thanks him. Heracles thanks her back, then says he brought some “just ideas” and “suggestions” from Gyumao. Since these were in English, Echo has trouble parsing what they mean. Heracles doesn’t know either, so he asks if you know. You either translate it for them one of two ways or say you don’t know.

 

Going A, Heracles is amazed you understood it so quickly as he calls those words spells. Echo also says she thinks you’re amazing but she questions calling those words spells too. In any case Echo takes a look, and Gyumao seems to have written down a lot. She thanks him and says she’ll take them into consideration.

 

Echo starts pulling out a mechanical pencil from all the baggage, and Heracles asks what that is since he’s never seen one before. Echo explains she got it from Tokyo and what it is. She says she’s thinking of planning out some chocolates and drawing them while thinking of Narcissus. You either say that’s a good idea, offer to give some suggestions yourself, or wonder how the chocolates will turn out.

 

Going A, Echo says she’d like your ideas too and tells Heracles she’s happy he’s helping her. Heracles is happy to assist however he can. Echo psyches herself up and says she’ll do what she can to express her feelings through whatever chocolate she can think of. She doesn’t know if she can make it right, so if any don’t work she suggests eating it yourselves.

 

Heracles says he found something among all the stuff he picked up and asks what it is. Echo says it’s knitting wool and explains that you can sew scarves and stuff with it. Heracles is happy he asked and and notes that the knitting needles aren’t weapons. He then talks to himself about something being a kind of otherworld textile and seems excited. You can either suggest he touch it, offer to touch it with him, or comment on his interest in fabrics.

 

Going A, Heracles says he mentioned doing some needlework before and learning about it. Originally he was doing it to learn how to fix his cape, but then he found out he had a knack for it. You either express surprise that he has a handiwork hobby, say he might be the dexterous type despite having big hands, or say needlework is fun.

 

Going A, he takes that to mean that needlework doesn’t suit him and wonders if that’s unusual where you’re from. Anyways, Heracles talks about how sewing can be about fixing things or making something new while sword wielding is just about destroying things. He hopes that when there’s time, he can watch how to knit things with knitting needles. Echo says that if he’s okay with a simple way of knitting, they can do it together soon, and she says she thinks it’s fun. He happily agrees.

 

Echo has a sudden flash of insight, which shocks Heracles. Echo explains that she had some inspiration as A Brand New Day plays, and she suggests knitting right now. Heracles is surprised at her idea of knitting there, but Echo confirms that she means it. She also considers that the ball of yarn and needles may be too small for him. Heracles says it’s fine and that he can handle it. You either ask to be included, call it youth, or be happy for Heracles.

 

Going C, Heracles invites you to join him so you both can learn from Echo since it’s nice to do once in a while. Echo thinks it’s a good idea and invites you too. The two of them huddle together, and Heracles comments it’s bringing back memories of the last time he did so. He then claims it’s nothing. The three of you have fun as you guys learn to knit and come up with chocolate ideas, and the time passes by calmly.

 

Scene shifts to elsewhere as Snow comments on how unclear things are looking past the forest, like looking through some dense fog. He then asks Barguest to take a look. Barguest says he can see Tokyo buildings getting mixed in and asks if this is what an open seam in the world is. Snow says that means there’s not that much time left.

 

Snow takes another look at the area, and it looks like tiny cracks are starting to open up. He brings up a certain expression that goes around in Tokyo: a chick being born from an egg has to destroy the world that is its egg.

 

Scene shifts back to your end as Heracles comments on how late it’s getting and how fast time goes when you’re having fun. Echo agrees and asks if you had fun knitting. You either say Echo’s great at teaching, are glad she could take her time teaching you, or ask Heracles for help.

 

Going A, Heracles notes that the way Echo speaks now suits teaching whatever. Echo comments that it’s the first time the way she speaks now was complimented, so she feels a little awkward. She thanks you two though.

 

Anyways Echo smiles as she writes down her chocolate design ideas. Heracles sets down his needles and starts talking to you as he looks at Echo, who is a ways away now. He talks about how his hands are covered in blood, but if they can help someone he doesn’t mind slave work. He was always being sent to battles from the oracle, and when he wakes up from his madness everything is already finished.

 

When Heracles came back from his battles he was hailed as a hero, but he says that’s because he’s a blood descendant of the one who sits highest in Olympus. Through him, people praise Zeus. When people look at him directly though, he sees fear in their eyes. He’s never had the freedom to think about things whether he was a hero or a slave.

 

Heracles starts looking at the spring and says he remembers now that there was a bit of light during that time. It’s a memory of someone important to him that he can’t see anymore and remembers when looking at you and Echo. Now that he thinks about it, he remembers that there was a bit of peace for him even during his trials. You express surprise at him mentioning someone dear he can’t see anymore.

 

Heracles says it’s a past memory that can’t come back to, but yeah. He supposed that maybe it was fate that he was brought into this world like the rest of you. He thought he had given up on it, but now maybe it turns out he didn’t.

 

Heracles then changes the subject to say it feels nice sitting next to you. He wonders why and says it’s been so long since he felt relaxed, and he eventually falls asleep on your shoulder. You take note of this and decide to leave him be, and maybe even pat him on the head. His face looks at peace, and the flowers watch over you two as the episode part ends.

Valentine Timeslip Episode 3 Part 3

Just like how every other third parter has been so far, we set the main plot aside for a second to pop in a flashback, and this one is set somewhere in Ueno before the plot of the event started. Barguest is running as hard as he can, and Kenta points him out to Inugami as he waves at him.

 

Barguest apologizes for making him wait and asks if he’s cold. Kenta says he’s fine because he has the coat Barguest got him, and Inugami barks in agreement. Barguest says that’s good then, and Kenta suggests they get going since there’s already a big line. Kenta actually pulls Barguest over, who in turn tells him to stop since he might trip like that.

 

The two reach their destination, and Barguest notes that the line is huge. He asks Kenta about going to a closer supermarket instead, but Kenta says he wants to go here because of Ryouta’s recommendation. They’ve got white chocolate, milk chocolate, and panda chocolate. Barguest says the panda one sounds nice but he has reservations about being in a crowded area given his nature. Kenta begs him to stay and promises to help more with things. Inugami barks too.

 

Barguest thinks and comments on getting hungry, so he decides to stick it out for Kenta and heads on over. Inugami follows after him, then Kenta afterwards as he has fun with this.

 

Some time later Barguest is winded, and Kenta asks if he’s okay as he comments on how many people were around. Barguest says there are times when it happens, but he’s still surprised at the lines being so long that things didn’t move much. Kenta says it’s thanks to him that he got some panda chocolate though. Barguest is happy for him and tells him to keep a hold of it.

 

Kenta asks if Barguest also bought himself some chocolate. He says he does and gives some to Kenta and Inugami, the latter as thanks for protecting Kenta. Kenta is happy and shows Inugami that he got some polar bear chocolate.

 

Kenta takes the moment to give Barguest some chocolate and wishes him a happy Valentines. Barguest talks to himself about how he always thought of things as unhappy, but it can’t be all bad if Kenta is saying it’s happy.

 

Anyways Barguest asks Kenta to hold onto something for him. It’s something he wants to give to the people who are helping him, but he’s worried about his bad luck leeching into them if he holds onto them the whole time. Kenta agrees and says he’ll put it in his backpack. He reminds Inugami to not eat them since they’re important to Barguest. It barks in response. Barguest says it’s not that important but thanks him.

 

Flashback ends and things pick back up with the chocolate making, and everyone is enjoying themselves as they get to it...almost everyone anyways. Heracles asks Barguest to stop watching from so far away and to come help with everyone. Barguest declines saying the chocolate maker might break if he gets too close. He also talks about having accidents when he cooks, like how a bag of pasta breaks and spills everything onto the floor.

 

There’s also such incidents as fish fat popping off when frying it, burning his fur, or the fire going out when he’s trying to boil something. You either say that’s unfortunate, say he managed to boil things well given the circumstances, or suggest that last bit is just carelessness on his part.

 

Going C, Barguest insists the light was on at first and that he checked the indicators for safety’s sake. In any case, Barguest mentions his surprise that Heracles seems to be enjoying the chocolate making process. Heracles says he wants to know more about the love he and Echo have been talking about. He talks about having surpassed countless trials and outlandish orders, but you have ordered him to work with you guys to undergo the trial of love. Also, as a slave he does some cooking, which he’s more familiar with than fighting.

 

Barguest thinks on how Heracles referred to things as a trial and compares “falling in love” with accidents in a certain sense. And in that sense, you could probably talk about them in the same way as trials that befall you. You either question the comparison to accidents, ask Barguest to explain some more, or say you sort of get it.

 

Going A, Echo also asks Barguest what he means. Barguest has to figure out how to explain himself, then says that it’s just his opinion, though he also says you should be aware other people may think so too. Barguest says being loved isn’t a bad thing, but he also says that he’s fated to be tormented by misfortune no matter what. If it happens that someone who likes him is met with misfortune, then he says that the act of falling in love with him was an accident.

 

But that said, love is bothersome in that it’s not clear what can trigger it. Barguest says he doesn’t know how anyone who loves him would feel, but he’d prefer such accidents to be prevented before they happen. You either say that’s sad, say it’s not a crime to love someone, or point out that would be “falling” in love.

 

Going A, Barguest admits that as much as he warns people about his bad luck, there’s Someone who won’t leave him alone. Whether it’s happy or unhappy, that’s dependent on the exchange, and the same goes for him. Barguest says that happiness for him is when others settle their feelings for him and calmly back away before they get caught up in his bad luck.

 

Echo thinks about how separating from someone could also be happiness for people. Barguest clarifies that what makes you happy and what makes someone else happy aren’t necessarily the same. She won’t know how Narcissus feels until she asks him. Echo looks depressed at that, and Barguest is quick to restate that this is just his personal opinion.

 

Barguest starts to say that if he weren’t so unlucky, something would be different, but he changes tacks midway to say it wouldn’t change even if he regretted it. He says that even if you take actions because you want to make someone happy, it might not actually make that person happy. Barguest tells Echo to keep in mind that there are as many kinds of happiness as there are people. You either think on the idea of kinds of happiness or say that seems lonely.

 

Heracles says he understands since he’s destroyed things in his insanity. But that aside, Heracles decides to be the one to ask Barguest how he’d give chocolate to someone assuming he has someone he loves. Barguest falls over in shock, and when he gets up he insists that he already said that he doesn’t know what it’s like to be in love. Heracles denies that and says he’s asking him a hypothetical question. You ask Barguest the same thing and can give him an empty box and ask him to act it out.

 

Barguest is flabbergasted at having to act out giving chocolate to someone, and Echo asks him to do it since she wants to know too. Barguest doesn’t see how a demonstration would help before desperately asking if you guys mean when he gives chocolate to Kenta. You guys tell him that it’s for someone he loves, to his disappointment.

 

Barguest ends up going with the awkward trying to be casual routine claiming he’s giving something but it has nothing to do with Valentines. He also asks if you’re going to bug him for it, then says to take it if you don’t mind becoming unhappy. Barguest then asks how long you plan on making him do this and tries to say he’s done enough.

 

The party looks at Barguest with distant, happy expressions, and he in turn asks what you guys are thinking of in shock. He says it’s humiliating and curses it as bad luck. You either comment on him being bashful, say he could stand to be more honest, or say it hit you right in the feels.

 

Going A, Barguest says of course he’d be with how you guys seem to be enjoying him making a fool out of himself. He also tries to insist that that sort of affection isn’t something to be flaunted for others to see. Echo and Heracles continue to smile at him, which embarrasses him further and prompts him to try to get the chocolate making started already. He proceeds to knock a bowl into his face when he bangs the table with his hands, causing him to bemoan his luck again.

 

Time skips to that night, and it’s Barguest’s turn to talk to you about being up late. He asks if you’re staying up late or if you woke up from some bad dreams. You either talk about Echo’s chocolate not being done I think, say you couldn’t get to sleep, or ask about Barguest being up.

 

Going C, Barguest says you shouldn’t worry about him and get to bed, though he figures that by saying that you’ll be sticking your nose in his business. Anyways, Barguest says that when he looks at Echo struggling to speak, he’s reminded of when he first met Kenta. It’s not just Kenta either. He mentions that the place he lives in is called terrible things like the Tokyo Slum. The Eastern Side of Tokyo is a place where only the innocent is allowed to reside in, and everyone else is thrown out. Before he knew it, he saw that he was adored by those people. He in turn was worried for them.

 

You either say you never knew the eastern side was like that or ask about having met Barguest in Roppongi. Going C, Barguest explains that he moved there for work at the time. Even then he was called a third class ward resident.

 

Barguest says that even if people don’t intend for it, they’ll get classified by someone else at some point. He and the others were classified by people, and since they had nowhere else to go they had to flock together. It may have been for mutual support and sympathy, but Barguest says it’s also because of who they were that they could help each other.

 

Barguest gives a big sigh, then talks about how there are unavoidable things in this world. A big kind of misfortune comes to people at some point. Barguest says he’s meant to be an early warning for when that happens. Disaster will strike him first, so he’ll be an omen for everyone else.

 

Barguest says Kenta being with him is the same thing, in that even he’s being made to carry misfortune. Barguest says he has to protect him because not being able to do so while he’s with him is the worst kind of misfortune in his eyes. You either say Kenta must be happy he’s protecting him, ask if he’ll protect you from bad luck too, or say you want him to be happy too. Going C, Barguest snorts as he says he doesn’t think he’ll ever be happy, but he’s happy that you’d think so.

 

Time skips to the next day as the party gathers at the spring again. Echo is trying to keep calm, and Barguest notes it feels kinda worn out around before asking Echo how her chocolates are. Echo says she’s fine, though she admits she couldn’t sleep much. She then asks everyone to look at what she made. You easily recognize it as chocolate and say it came out well.

 

Narration describes the chocolates as heart shaped with no extra decoration added. Gyumao freaks Echo out a bit as he slides in and yells about how well they look and congratulates her. He also says this is proof that the chocolate maker can be used by anyone without issue. All that’s left is for Echo to give the things, and Gyumao is confident it’ll go over well. Echo asks him to back off a little since the sound pressure of his voice is getting to her. Also he’s close enough that he’s breathing on her.

 

Snow notes the sweet and mellow scent of cacao, then compliments on how much better Echo’s gotten at making chocolate. Heracles notices that the chocolates are starting to shrink and asks about that, and the rest of the party is shocked when they poof out of existence. You say it looks like they melted into nothing but can still smell them.

 

Gyumao asks Echo what’s going on, so Echo says she was thinking about Narcissus when she made them. If it turns out he doesn’t want them then they’ll evaporate in about two minutes after the box is opened, and she calls it mist chocolate. Everyone is too stunned to say anything, and you eventually ask about the evaporation thing.

 

Snow tries pointing out that Echo just let her chocolate disappear, but Echo says she has another box of it ready. She’s determined to give them, and if he doesn’t want them then it can just disappear. You either say that’s really depressing, point out the chocolate will disappear on the way back, or ask what manner of sorcery is this.

 

Barguest says it would be a good thing for someone who’d be reluctant to take her chocolate, but he asks Echo what she’d do if she actually had a chance. If Narcissus actually wants to eat them then they’ll disappear soon. It takes Echo a moment to process this, and she starts panicking a little since she didn’t think of that. Heracles points out that Narcissus is there and asks if she intends to give them. Echo is flustered and says she’ll have to give them quick, so she decides to go over to him.

 

Heracles expresses concern whether things will be alright as Echo flies over. Snow says that the chocolates are good when the box is opened, but Echo did say they’d only last two minutes, which you also point out. Gyumao wonders how she managed to do that and says the chocolate maker still isn’t ready yet. Barguest decides he’s worried enough to go after her.

 

Snow tries to stop Barguest from doing something so rude, but he seems to notice something first. As Barguest tries to run after Echo he slams into some invisible wall, which you express shock at. Snow figures that means only the actual memory holder can get near the core of the memories, meaning only Echo can go there. Heracles notices Echo coming back and asks how it went.

 

Echo says it didn’t work and that she didn’t seal up the box right. She shows you the box, which is already empty. It was like that when she opened it in front of Narcissus. Barguest says it’s good she thought about who she’s giving it too but says next time she should give a bit more thought about making sure she can give it properly. She agrees to think on it some more.

 

Narcissus kisses the surface of the spring, then disappears into it. Barguest says that should be the cue for the corrective force to show up. Snow says he hears something in the distance, which sounds like music. As it gets closer, he says it’s eurobeat, shocking Barguest and Gyumao. The Valenfesta battle theme starts streaming from the chocolate mist, and you either ask why it’s eurobeat coming or say you remember hearing it before.

 

Heracles says something is dancing towards you guys and wonders what the hell is happening. A voice you remember hearing before sings about Valentines and not needing to worry about calories as it invites you to exercise with her as Nomad and a bunch of randos pop up. Everyone is lost for words, and you either are shocked to see Nomad, surprised to see him smiling, or ask who he is.

 

Gyumao recognizes Nomad and says he’s wearing the sportswear clothes from his company’s gym department. He asks why the private detective and part time job master is here. Barguest interprets Nomad as being here on a part time job. Nomad starts instructing people to pump their arms up, and Echo ends up following along. Nomad says she’s doing great, and Heracles asks what’s going on as the dance crew from nowhere starts surrounding you guys.

 

Barguest recognizes the music at this point from the sweets event he had Kenta taken to before. He heard that Nomad was struggling with stuff in his life and set his detective work aside to work there. Snow says he remembers that’s when Nomad started the job and mentioning vehicle inspection fees were killing him. Barguest says Kenta showed him a video, and he remembers being lost for words at how chaotic it looked. You either say you want to see Nomad do detective work, say you remember this happening, or join in on the dancing.

 

Chocolate Nomad starts smiling, then notices that some people don’t look happy so he figures he should change things up. He switches the music to the current event’s battle theme, raises his hands up, then starts the episode battle. More comes afterwards.

 

Things pick up around the time you beat down Nomad, though he still gets up long enough to say your dance moves were good and tells you to remember them. The dance crew from nowhere falls apart with their formation going down, and you either wonder if this is also a manifestation of the corrective force or say you had a good sweat.

 

Snow says it likely is, and that it’s like how Aizen showed up based off your guys’ memories to interfere. Barguest asks if that means Nomad came from his memory and sighs over how complicated things are getting.

 

Heracles asks why he seemed to be smiling so brightly yet gave off a feeling of misery. Snow declines to comment on that. Echo says she also used to sing and dance with her friends back in Olympus, though she says she felt she Had to Do It because everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves.

 

Barguest says the dance crew may be a bit different, but he tells Echo that she doesn’t need to join in on things she’s not enjoying. There are many ways of being happy, and she needn’t conform herself to anyone’s way of doing so. She agrees with the point, and you either say the real Nomad is cooler, say he needs to work harder at detective stuff, or say his smile was great. Going A, Chocolate Nomad seems flattered before light covers everything again, and the episode ends.

Valentine Timeslip Episode 3 Part 2

Heracles starts talking to you by asking if you’re cold and offering to lend you his cape. You either question why he’s suddenly asking this or play along like you’re some old time master and say no. Heracles says you became his master so of course he’s going to start worrying about you, leading you to be surprised by this.

Heracles brings up that time when the chocolate shoggoths attacked and you attempted to protect him. He starts stepping closer and says you ordered him to cherish his life. He says that the only person who can order him around is the one who can become his master. And since you had earlier told him to be with you, he made his decision. He says he’ll be your slave, and that he’ll obey any order unrelated to battle. Echo is off to the side scandalized at how close Heracles is to you by this point. You either freak out at how close he’s standing, be taken aback about him being your slave, or ask if he really meant anything.

 

In B, he says he means that and that he’ll happily serve you. Just leave manual labor or the like to him. He also mentions liking cleaning, laundry, and needlework, before trying to deny being particular about work. In C, Heracles does ask that you not ask him to do anything crazy if possible. He mentions that Gyumao already taught him about the concept of power harassment.

 

Anyways, Barguest focuses on Heracles asking you to not send him to fight and asks if there’s a reason for that. Heracles says he’s talked about being a slave due to an oracle he was given as a way to atone for his crimes, and he describes being a slave as being someone who has to work as their master commands. His oracle also said that he couldn’t work for his own sake. If he does, he’ll be given agony enough to die from. That aside, Heracles doesn’t actually want to fight, so he thinks being a slave is preferable to being thrown into battle.

 

Barguest says he can understand Heracles’ thoughts. He says it’s that state where you might get pitied, but it’s better the way it is now instead of a situation that you don’t want. Echo asks what he means as she thinks it over. Barguest sighs since he thinks it’s not really something to tell someone who’s trying hard, but he doesn’t think it’s a bad idea for her to know either.

 

Barguest takes a moment to check if the area is safe before sitting down on some rock. He then starts talking about how life doesn’t always go the way you want it to. The results that you don’t want happening probably make up the bulk of what happens. But among those unwanted results, Barguest says there’s a bit of good luck amongst the bad luck.

 

Heracles asks what he means, so Barguest says that even if something you didn’t want happens, it’s fine if it’s not the worst possible outcome. Rather than regretting what happened all the time, you should put it down as an ending point and move on. Echo repeats the idea to herself as she thinks on it.

 

Barguest says that the past, present, and future come together at a three road junction and split into different paths, which is a thing his old master used to say a lot. The past cannot return, so you have move in the present. Even if you want to go back to the past, the road to the past and the road to the present have already split off. No matter how much people may regret it, they can only live in the present. Rather than stop and die, or whatever the worst outcome is, it’s better to be determined and walk forward.

 

You either say things can’t change that easily, think on the idea about things being better than the worst outcome, or say you don’t get it for now. Going A, Barguest agrees and says there’s no way anyone would be happy with not achieving what they wanted. But if you want things to improve even a little bit, then you have to keep going even if you don’t accept it. In B, Barguest says he’s not tied to misfortune because he wants to be, but he’ll take comfort in the idea it’ll draw it away from someone else.

 

Anyways Barguest figures it’s time to stop with the philosophy lecture as he gets up and checks if anything came by. The Analyst kicks in as Barguest starts addressing Echo and talks about how the overworld is essentially her memory world. Echo says it seems to be that way, though she doesn’t really understand it that well. Barguest suggests that means that Narcissus is a memory cognition and not the actual person, which Echo doesn’t bring herself to respond to.

 

Heracles agrees with the point, saying it’s the same as how this Olympus isn’t the real thing either. He prompts you guys to look over, way past some trees. After you look, you compare it to a vaguely remembered picture, say it’s like some stage backdrop, or say it looks really unclear. Heracles suggests that it’s Scenery Echo Doesn’t Remember, and Echo says that the forest nymphs normally don’t leave the forest.

 

Barguest builds on the point to say that’s why Narcissus’s Spring looks so clear. He tells her that he ended up seeing Narcissus falling into the spring. She’s shocked by that, and he asks about it being something she couldn’t forget. Echo presses her hands on her chest as the memories she doesn’t want to remember start gripping at her, but she still finds it in her to speak.

 

Echo confirms that she saw the last of Narcissus like that. She also says that due to the punishment given by the patron of wrath/righteous fury, Narcissus fell in love with his reflection in the water. When he moved to kiss it, Echo was unable to stop him.

 

Echo says that when she saw that happened, she grieved and grieved until she was reduced to just a voice. She had no body to make gestures with, and she was unable to say anything on her own. Then, the spring fairies stole Narcissus away to the world at the bottom of the spring.

 

Heracles is shocked at Echo’s mentioning of something within the spring as he starts bringing up some Rumor he’s heard. He stops himself before he mentions any details though, saying it’s about something unrelated to Narcissus and asking Echo to continue.

 

Echo is a bit surprised at Heracles, but she does as he asks. When Narcissus disappeared, she says pure white flowers bloomed. They were the same flowers she saw at the gardens, the Narcissus flowers she says that seemed to look sadly at the spring. She learned the flower’s name when she came to Tokyo and remarks it being Narcissus’s name as well.

 

You either say that was the cause for the overworld shift and/or thank Echo for telling you guys this. Echo says nothing would have changed if she kept quiet because this is a memory world. Even if she confessed to Narcissus at the spring, it wouldn’t reach the real one. She knows that in her head, but she trails off as she starts tearing up.

 

You start to ask if Narcissus is dead, but Heracles says that it’s possible Narcissus is alive in the world at the bottom of the spring. Echo is surprised, and you ask if that’s true and press him for details. Heracles says the renowned pretty boy Narcissus might have been taken by the spring fairies and kept like a caged bird. The bottom of the spring however is the domain of the water fairies, so if they don’t invite you then you can’t just waltz in.

 

Echo says that might be true, but either way it means she can’t see him anymore. Barguest says this means it’s also possible that the worst outcome was avoided. Even if she can’t see him, he could still be okay, and Barguest says she could settle for that. Echo has to think on that and says it doesn’t feel real to her yet.

 

Barguest says that there are times when things can’t be changed and you just have to live with it. If anything like that happens, he hopes that what he told her will help Echo feel a little better. You either comment that he’s good at taking care of other people, comment on how kind he is, or say you’ll keep those words in mind.

 

Going B, Barguest gets flustered by your remark and claims he’s just busy dealing with his own problems so he can’t carry anyone else’s baggage. In the end, he says he can only settle his own things.

 

In any case, Barguest suggests heading back to base before something happens from sticking around too long. As he gets up to look, a choco shoggoth wanders by, which aggros upon meeting his eyes. Everyone is surprised at their presence, and the things start the episode battle. More story comes afterwards.

 

Things pick up with the party making it back to base more or less okay having managed to shake off the mobs. You say you guys made it or say that it’s thanks to Barguest that you guys managed to not get surrounded. In the latter, there’s some extra lines where Barguest is surprised and says he thought he had gotten you guys into a seriously bad situation. He’s glad everyone is okay though and decides to call it the silver lining in an awful cloud.

 

Anyways, Snow runs back in and is relieved that you guys are okay too. Heracles tells him you guys were attacked by the choco shoggoths, though you managed to get away. Barguest picks up that Snow had said “too” and asks if that means Gyumao was attacked too. Snow confirms that’s true, which worries Echo.

 

Gyumao runs in next and says it was such a hassle to be attacked without an appointment. Heracles is glad he’s alright, and Gyumao starts wondering aloud if this means the choco mobs are unrelated to the time rewind. You either wonder if they’re hiding around, express surprise they showed up without having made any chocolate, or say you guys need to be careful.

 

Snow figures that the memory corrective force is getting stronger in response to Echo’s conflict. Echo starts blaming herself again, but Snow says she doesn’t need to look so sad as he shows her something. He turns out to have confectionary tools and different wrapping papers now. You either ask where he got them from or compare them to store stuff.

 

Snow says that when some of the mobs appeared at the base and were chased off, they dropped the things behind. He suggests that maybe they manifested from a new memory in response to Echo’s mental state changing and the mobs were trying to dispose of them. The way the cacao is growing so fast might be due to her wish to change the results too. Barguest says that’s really convenient and feels that it is possible if this place is Echo’s mental world.

 

Echo is surprised that her thoughts of wanting to give Narcissus chocolate may have caused this. Gyumao wonders if the world is nudging Echo forward because she’s been thinking really strongly about wanting to give chocolate. Since the corrective force wants to stop that, the mobs may have been trying to dispose of the tools. You think in on the corrective force and Echo’s feelings of wanting to change things, then ask if that means her feelings are clashing with the curse of repetition.

 

Barguest asks why a curse that’s supposed to make Echo repeat words is having so many manifestations if all that is true. Gyumao says Echo’s efforts are genuine. He also says that if the past is wiped away, it should lead to the world going forward. Snow then theorizes that the corrective force isn’t only rooted in Echo’s curse. Echo doesn’t follow along.

 

Snow talks about how this world is a recreation of Echo’s past memories, but it shouldn’t be easily possible to sweep away the past. This would apply even a memory such as what would look to her like a final chance encounter with Narcissus. That last connection would be seared into her memories, so forgetting it would be the same as cutting the connection.

 

Heracles phrases that as a memory where both sides could have made contact even if the facts don’t change. Gyumao agrees that it wouldn’t be fixed if that were broken, then wonders if the corrective force is pushing Echo’s hesitation. Heracles says that if Echo’s lingering attachment isn’t cut, they might not be able to leave though. You decide to ask Echo directly what she wants to do.

 

Echo grabs the edges of her clothes as she struggles to get her words out. She says she wants to bring everyone back to Tokyo, but she didn’t want to destroy her memories with Narcissus. She wants to keep her love, though she’s still unsure of what to do. You say there has to be a way, offer to think of one together, and say you guys will come up with something.

 

Barguest agrees and points out that Echo has decided upon giving Valentines chocolate for now. If that’s what she wants, then he’ll help her with it. And if that doesn’t work, he says they can think of something else. She nods and agrees.

 

Anyways, Barguest says he’ll be outside for a while and to call him if you need him for anything. You however ask him to help make chocolate with you guys since he’s here and all and said he’d help. He’s surprised, though he admits he did figure this would be coming. He tries to make excuses by asking what you’d guys do if his misfortune gets mixed into the chocolate. Snow says it’s noble of him to be apprehensive of his nature, but he asks him to join in the chocolate making too.

 

Barguest protests that it’s different and that he’d prefer to avoid letting his bad luck affect things as much as possible. Snow points out that the nimono he shared with everyone hasn’t actually done anything to anyone so far. You either be shocked and wonder if Barguest cooked it himself, point out that Kenta was fine when he had some, or think about the salt content in the food.

 

Going B, Barguest tries to argue before admitting that Kenta did like it. Gyumao says there is an order to things but asks Barguest to help with the basics since it’s good stimulation to work with younger people. Barguest calls him pushy and wonders why everyone around him is so forceful. Snow says it’s not an everyday sort of opportunity as he invites Barguest to make chocolate with everyone. He gives him some milk he can use, then asks Gyumao to come with him. Gyumao tells Barguest to enjoy the chocolate maker and asks for a report on as much as he can write later.

 

Barguest sighs and holds his head as Snow and Gyumao walk off. He changes into an apron and complains about there somehow being one in a perfect size for him, which he’s thought about several times already. But back to the main thing, he asks if the machine really can make chocolate without any work on anyone else’s part.

 

Echo says yes and that she’s okay with putting milk and sugar into it. She might be that persuasive on it, but she says the chocolate Snow made was nice. Heracles says it looks like you guys can make some decent genuine chocolate this time and is excited to taste test things. Barguest sighs at his lack of a filter, and the episode section ends.

Valentine Timeslip Episode 3 Part 1

Barguest starts narrating about his chains, saying that his previous master described them as having the power to bind unwanted ends to it. He rephrases it in more blunter terms as having the power to call misfortune and unhappiness to it. Barguest is the warning sign for that unhappiness, the canary in the mineshaft.

 

Barguest says he draws unhappiness to him just by existing. If this draws the unhappiness away from affecting someone else, then he’s okay with that. What he doesn’t want is for someone else to be dragged into his misfortune. It’s not that he wants to be unhappy, but his chains are tied to unhappiness. Someone connecting themselves to him would mean having to be linked to it too. And to him, that would be the worst kind of unhappiness.

 

Title card pops up, and this chapter is called Tempering My Heart.

 

Back to the present, the party has returned to base, and Echo’s first course of action is to detach away from everyone, curl up and sit down, and look depressed. You either attempt to talk to her and ask if she’s okay or decide to leave her be.

 

Going A, Echo insists she’s alright and that the chocolate will turn out right this time. She then starts getting sad as she talks about having to get everyone back home as soon as possible. But in any case, everyone else looks at each other wondering what to say to her. Gyumao decides to speak up and say that the next try will be their chance to break through. You either yell and tell Gyumao to read the room, agree with him, or say he’s reliable and that you love him.

 

Gyumao laughs and says that the first job of a president is to ignore the atmosphere in the room. Snow says he’ll put on some hot cocoa for everyone since he figures everyone must be tired. Gyumao says that’s a good idea and moves to help him with the chocolate maker.

 

Some time later, Echo looks up as she asks about the thing she smells. You comment on her finally looking up, say it’s special hot cocoa from the butler, and ask her to come over and talk. Echo joins everyone as prompted and takes the cocoa, and after she has some she says it’s good, and that her sadness is melting away.

 

Echo apologizes for brooding. Barguest says he understands but tells her not to strain herself too hard. If time keeps rewinding they can use it to redo things. He says Echo should do what she can without worrying about failure, and she doesn’t need to obsess over making the chocolate. She seems surprised by this, and Gyumao speaks up to agree with Barguest. Gyumao also says that the chocolate itself isn’t the only thing of value here. There’s the experience of opening up the package too, though this concept seems to overwhelm Echo.

 

Barguest says Echo could also give something besides chocolate since there are other ways of giving your feelings. Gyumao encourages Echo to keep at it, saying her earlier idea for the chocolate was good. It was where she tried out a charm to bring out hot feelings in Narcissus after all. Echo agrees though she seems unsure. You either are glad she’s got her confidence back, note that she’s perked up again, or suggest getting an answer this time.

 

Heracles thinks to himself for a moment before he talks about how picking up one of Echo’s chocolates might be like a trial for him. This of course depresses Echo, so you note that her confidence went right out the window, call out to Heracles, and tell him to not bring the problems back up. Heracles apologizes and says he was trying to compliment Echo, which baffles Barguest.

 

Heracles explains that pretty much no one he’s met in Olympus would be someone he’d have to call a trial. People don’t even get as far as trying to provoke him, as by the time he notices he’s already kicked their asses. You’re either shocked at how casually Heracles says this, say the way he feels like a born winner is amazing, or say that sounds like it’s maybe something to be unhappy about.

 

In C, Heracles seems surprised as he thinks over your perspective on that. He seems happy about it. But anyways, Heracles talks to Echo and says that he watched her try and fail to make chocolate, try to think of something else, and try again when it didn’t work. To him, he finds that comforting. It’s a better trial than the ones he fought through between Olympus’s blood and madness, passion and strategy. Heracles then apologizes for sounding cruel, saying he thought that he might have wanted to live like this like she is. He offers to help her with thing, and not just because he wants to escape.

 

You say that sounds good but ask if it’s fine since he hasn’t gotten permission. Heracles says no and that he wants you to set him an unfitting trial, so you ask him to help you guys. He happily agrees, and that one flash happens again with apparently no one noticing.

 

Snow brings up that changing the immediate future is also a method of doing things and asks if Echo has anything else she might want to give. Echo only has a vague idea of something that won’t be a bother, but Snow says it’s a good idea since it’s standard to pick something beneficial to the recipient. You either suggest thinking of Narcissus’s feelings, say it might be nice to be given something that you like, or ask what sort of presents Echo likes.

 

Going C, Echo has to think on it since she says it never occurred to her what she’d want. She eventually sighs as she says she now feels like she understands how Narcissus feels. She tells you about how Narcissus once said to her that he thought she’d entrance him more. Snow finds that fascinating.

 

Echo says she always wanted something from Narcissus, then thinks about what she could do for him. Barguest comments on how much she thinks of Narcissus already and says that he feels it’s pretty sad if she can’t get him to understand. When Echo looks over at him, Barguest shrugs about her being worried and suggests going on a walk to clear her head. He also says he brings bad luck, so if she gets away from him she might come up with something.

 

You wonder if that’s really the issue but agree that clearing up her head can help Echo. Echo says she believes it’s not Barguest bringing bad luck, but herself. He’s shocked by this, and Echo goes on to say it was bad luck through getting involved with her that got everyone else stuck in the world.

 

Barguest quickly tries to deny that and says it’s an accident stemming from his bad luck. Echo tries to argue back saying she tends to trip on nothing and mixes up hot with cold a lot. Barguest counters by saying flowerpots fall on him almost every day, dogs bite him, and he tends to fall into drains and manholes. You either try to stop the game of misery poker, suggest Echo is just kinda clumsy, or ask if Barguest lives like that every day.

 

Snow cuts in to stop the argument as he calls it counterproductive. Echo apologizes, followed by Barguest who says he was trying to cheer her up before sighing about how bad he is at it. Snow tells Barguest that there are times when self-deprecating more than needed can make other people upset. Gyumao says he feels Barguest does have a point, in that it’s important to clear your head when you’re feeling stressed. Switching on and off on things can refresh you and help come up with new ideas.

 

Echo is quiet at first, but then agrees to go relax as she walks off. Gyumao says being obedient is a virtue and that it makes him want to support her more. He talks about how Echo has the will to change her failures, though it doesn’t seem directed at herself. You either ask him to explain and bring up that she’s trying to change anyways.

 

Gyumao rephrases things and suggests that Echo’s desire to not bother people is winning out over her desire to improve herself. He notes that it looks like Echo prioritizes other people because of her memories of failing. Barguest says he sorta picked up on it from listening to her talk. He also says she could easily have held a grudge against Hera for taking away her ability to speak. Gyumao says she’s the sort of person to choose the short stick and deal with what comes of that, maybe carry too much.

 

Heracles questions that, so you ask what’s on his mind. He apologizes and says he just felt like supporting Echo. Echo suddenly pops back in at that, and Snow notices as he asks her what’s going on. She apologizes for interrupting, saying she was thinking of taking a walk like she was suggested to and asking if that’s alright. Snow says it’s fine and asks Heracles to go as her bodyguard. He agrees.

 

Gyumao says he’ll go for a walk himself then and maybe see if he can find some other kind of present. Snow says he’ll go plant the cacao and make some marble molds just in case. He then asks what Barguest will do. He doesn’t get very far in answering before the scenes transition cuts him off.

 

Some time later, everyone has split up to look around for other possible presents. It’s noted that this was originally an excuse to go clear Echo’s head, but Barguest is exasperated since he specifically did what he was doing to get away from everyone. It turns out you, Echo, and Heracles are following after him, and Barguest loudly asks why you guys are doing so.

 

Echo hides behind Heracles out of fright, then says she wanted to talk to Barguest. You either relay that to Barguest, say you thought he might be lonely, or say it’s just a coincidence. Going A, Echo says that she went with you because of that. Heracles says he’s there with you guys for his own interest, so Barguest can just do his own thing and not mind you all. Barguest sighs that that’s hard to do with three people staring at him.

 

Barguest is still a ways away, so he yells over to you guys about how he draws misfortune and warns you guys to leave if you think you’re in danger. That’s his official warning so anything that happens will be your responsibility and not something he has to care about. On cue, a giant piece of fruit immediately falls out of a tree and lands on his head.

 

Echo is concerned for Barguest while Heracles comments on how perfectly that flowed together with some surprise. Barguest is about to point to that fruit as an example before giving up on it. He asks if you guys are hurt and nods when he sees no one is. He then says it’s okay whether you guys follow him or not and says nothing interesting will happen anyways as he walks off. You either say you’ll follow along, say you’ll be careful, or point out that fruit is still on his head. The episode section ends with you guys walking after him.

Valentine Timeslip Episode 2 Part 3

A flashback kicks in, set a few days ago over in Claude’s office at the Ikebukuro Berserkers’ guildhouse. Claude asks how the thing with Gyumao is going since he hasn’t heard from him in some time. Snow assures him that everything is going fine. There’s been some internal issues going on at the Tycoons, and Snow plans on exchanging information with him some time in the future.

 

Claude says he’ll leave Snow to it and mentions looking forward to the presentation. Snow promises to do his utmost for things, then tries to ask Claude for some of his time as he makes a point of calling him young master. Claude’s phone interrupts, and he picks it up as it’s some business call with someone who he says he’ll be meeting soon.

 

Claude then apologizes to Snow and asks to set things aside for a few days since he’ll be busy. He thanks him again for all his work, then says he’ll be going. Snow tells him to be careful, then seems sad after Claude closes the door behind him.

 

Snow narrates towards Claude about how his wish is to serve and attend to someone with the heart of a ruler. Ever since Claude summoned him when he was young, Snow had been working for him from the bottom of his heart. His feelings have never changed, and Snow trails off about saying something about Claude’s heart of a ruler.

 

Back to the present, you ask what Snow just said in some disbelief. Echo on the other hand is totally excited for it, and Snow is glad as he mentions he just had an idea for the chocolate. He then explains that’s it about adding a shake of some spice for a secret ingredient. Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom can help make the sweet smells stand out, and Snow says it’s an old art of making the shakti move. He also teases about there maybe being a legend about it evoking love. You either comment that there’s a lot of things like that, say it sounds exciting, or ask for a charm to bring you love with him.

 

In C, Snow is taken aback and says that’s very specific before he tries to get you to calm down. But anyways, Snow sidesteps the question as to whether the charm actually works to say the feeling of trying it is important. That’s the feeling of believing in yourself, and it might lead to a miracle. Echo sighs about how nice charms are and talks about her hopes. She also says the charms of the forest faeries happen to be a bit too quick to go off, so they aren’t any cute. Snow is surprised as he comments on those being the real thing.

 

Heracles starts to comment that spells are all well and good, but before he gets any further Echo swoops in to insist they’re charms and not spells. Charms sounds cuter, get it right. Heracles is surprised into apologizing, then goes back to his question, which was about whether you guys even have spices with you. Snow says he picked up some spices before his meeting at the botanical gardens, so he can give Echo some. It’s also what he used to wake Echo up the first time around when she was out cold.

 

Snow then informs Echo that the spices he has only have a small effect on stimulating the heart. Due to that, he tells her that she shouldn’t scrimp on the effort on making the chocolates. Echo says she’ll try them out and thanks him. You speak up as you figure now’s a good time to ask Snow how he’d give chocolates or ask if he’s giving chocolate to Claude.

 

In B, Snow takes a moment to think on it, then says that while it’s a hidden feeling everyone has, how it comes through their attitudes is different. In the end what Snow wants to reveal is deep affection and respect, so he’d want to give a present.

 

In C, says he does intend on giving Claude some chocolate, then says he makes some chocolate by hand every year for him. This is just because he want to do so though. He says he wants to show his affection and respect for Claude, and handmaking the chocolates is the best way of getting those feelings accepted. When you ask what he puts in them, Snow declines to answer.

 

Anyways, Snow says when giving the chocolates, all he thinks about is about whether the recipient will be happy with the gift. Echo thinks on this and how she should think only about making Narcissus happy. She gets excited as she says she’ll do her best because she wants him to be happy. She happily takes the spices from Snow, and Heracles is standing to the side watching her.

 

Heracles comments on how bright Echo is shining. You invite him to join in since it’ll be fun and can grab his hand if you want. In C, Heracles is surprised and asks why you’d touch the hand of a slave so gently. He says you should just treat him roughly like a tool since that’d be appropriate. After a moment he says it’s been a long time since he felt a hand so warm.

 

In any case Echo will also ask Heracles to help her make the chocolates. He’s surprised by the idea, so Echo says she wants to do it with him. Heracles eventually agrees, smiling alongside you and Echo.

 

Time then skips to that night, and Snow walks up asking if you’re still going to be up before noting it looks like you couldn’t sleep. You can either say you got nervous like it’s you giving candy, say you’re worried for Echo, or ask if Snow isn’t able to get to sleep.

 

In A, Snow says you’re kind to think about others so much. You’ll just have to leave things to Echo though, and worrying too much will cut into your rest. In C, Snow says yes, though it’s not a huge heart pounding thing for him. Since he had something on his mind he figured he’d keep watch. He then admits it’s sophistry and cops to being a little restless.

 

In any case Snow talks about thinking of Claude, though he supposes the flow of time between Tokyo and an overworld shift are different. Just like he’s tol

d Echo, he’s devoted himself to the one he admires. This is for his own sake, not theirs. Snow also says he’s done his best to make sure he’s not lacking anything and that he himself is accepted. You ask if he’s fine with that, comment on how important Claude is to him, or say you’re jealous of Claude.

 

Going A, Snow says yes as it’s just like he’s told you earlier. If it weren’t like that he wouldn’t have said the same thing to Echo. Claude might let Snow call him young master, but Snow says he has deep sense of adoration for him. He’s charmed by the military rule Claude leads, which might be why he answers. Still, Snow says that the love of a king he wants and the love Claude wants are different. Whatever love Claude wants, Snow hopes he gets. He’s about to say more on that but stops there, smiling kindly but sadly as he asks you to laugh at him.

 

Snow says he knows that Claude will one day leave his protection, but he trails off. You either comment it’s more like family than lovers for him, or it’s something closer than master and servant. Snow says that his current relationship with Claude is appropriate of course, and he wishes that Claude’s hope for love will be realized. He just worries that his affection for Claude will turn into a burden one day.

 

Snow says Claude has grown so fast to the point that he should stop calling him young master soon. He comments that one day there might need to be a line drawn on his relationship with him. You either say he won’t compromise for that day, hope they’ll always have the relationship they want, or ask if Snow will work for you when that time comes.

 

In B, Snow agrees as he hopes it’ll last as long as both sides want it. No matter what happens, if that’s what Claude wants, then Snow will happily keep planting the seeds without compromise. In C, Snow ends up laughing but apologizes for it coming out. But if you want that to happen, he’ll happily serve you then if you devote yourself into becoming the best sort of king in your own way. He also tells you that Claude’s pretty strong though.

 

Anyways, Snow says it’s getting late and asks you to keep this conversation a secret. He offers you some hot milk with a touch of cinnamon added to it. He calls it a little charm to help you sleep from him, then wishes you good night.

 

Time skips to the next day as everyone gathers at Narcissus’s Spring again. Gyumao asks Echo how her chocolates turned out this time, and Echo feels they came out pretty well. She opens her box, but you find them odd as you say they have a strange smell and an alarming color to them.

 

Snow asks Echo if this is the box of chocolates she worked so hard on. Echo confirms as she says she put in a bunch of spice and charm into it. Gyumao asks to taste test a piece, and Echo is surprised but agrees. Gyumao falls over screaming sensation, so Snow tries to get him to compose himself and give him some water.

 

Gyumao tries to be polite and says the chocolate has a complicated flavor, but he soon gives up in favor of being blunt. In short: they’re awful. Echo is crushed to hear that, and Snow asks if she ever tried any of her chocolates. Echo admits she didn’t and says she’ll do it now. You however tell her to not rush herself, yell for someone to stop her, and yell at Gyumao to get a grip.

 

Echo admits that she was worried when she emptied a whole jar/vial earlier, which shocks the rest of the party. She talks about how she thought about trying to make sure she wouldn’t have any regrets, so she ended up adding other spices too. Snow had warned her about adding too much, so she tried to keep that in mind. Snow says that’s a silver lining at least, since nutmeg and other spices could be dangerous depending on the dose.

 

Echo apologizes as she starts losing heart. Snow says he acknowledges the strength of her emotions but asks her to keep better track of portions and taste testing next time. Echo says she will as she apologizes again, then seems to notice something happening. Barguest winces about what should be happening next, and Heracles says something is coming.

 

A strange groaning starts happening, and Echo shrieks as her box of chocolates(?) starts moving. She drops it in fright, and out pop a bunch of choco Shoggoths again. Barguest asks if they’re going to turn into a wave again, but Snow points out that they’re changing shape. You notice it seems to be the shape of a person.

 

A voice starts moaning about Valentines being scandalous (the catchphrase of the month). Aizen then appears yelling shameless as he always does, and you either react to his appearance with shock, be in disbelief at the return of the No Dates Gang, or not recognize him.

 

Gyumao recognizes Aizen as Ophion’s retainer and the school decency committee guy. The mobs with him are the forms of other Tycoon members. Snow however says they’re all like the dragons in that they have no presence. Chocolate Aizen complains about how awful Valentines sounds and yells about how scandalous it is. Echo tries to deny it and asks him to explain. Choco Aizen can’t and loops back to repeating himself, then says he’ll purge Valentines. You either express shock, say Aizen’s No Dates Gang is supposed to be gone, or just be baffled.

 

Going B if it matters, Snow says he remembers hearing about that group before. He says it came up in an incident where Aizen tried to pull a coup d’etat. You say you remember that or be confused about it. Choco Aizen points at you as he calls you a love singularity and intends to purge you. You either be surprised he’s talking to you, say his insistence seems to have gotten weaker, or question the love singularity thing. Aizen just goes on to be a broken record as he starts the episode battle. More comes after that.

 

Things pick up towards the end of the battle as Aizen still moans the word scandalous. Snow says he understands why Aizen don’t have much of a presence and why his assertions are so weak. It’s because he’s like the choco Shoggoths and dragons as something that formed using chocolate as a medium. But it is as Barguest suggested in that they’re some sort of corrective force looping the memories. You ask why it turned into Aizen or ask if Echo knows him.

 

B has an extra line where Echo denies knowing Aizen, then describes him as deeply jealous and forceful. Either way Snow guesses that when the rest of you were pulled in, everyone’s relevant memories to Valentines might have mixed in. Aizen is still choking out his catchphrase, and you either yell the real Aizen was cuter, say shouting scandalous all the time isn’t much of a claim, or accuse him of being jealous.

 

Going C, Aizen looks shocked before turning away, and the light from before covers everything again. Barguest sighs about time turning back again when he bangs his head again without thinking about it. He asks if he did it again. You say it may be because you guys have been returned to the same places, sympathize with his bad luck, or wonder if everyone else is around.

 

Going A, Barguest seems a bit shocked as he says it was bad luck that he didn’t notice. Echo speaks up as she says she’s there, and Heracles is here already too. He notes that everyone seems okay and wonders what Aizen’s No Dates gang was all about.

 

Gyumao and Snow walk over, and Gyumao comments on now noticing that they’ve all returned to their original starting positions. He asks why Heracles is here though since the past round had him starting from further away. Heracles finds it strange too, though he didn’t actually notice at first. Snow wonders if their fates have been connected somehow. He also suggests that maybe Echo and Heracles have some commonalities that are affecting the memory world. You either say you’re happy to be connected with him by fate, say he’s a friend, or say it’s reassuring to have him with you guys.

 

Heracles thinks on having a connection or bond with you guys, then says he’s happy too if that’s true. He then expresses surprise to have gone on for so long without a master though. He says he needs to find one soon, or else he’ll be going against the oracle. You either say that’s rough, offer to be his master, or say you’d prefer to be his lover instead of master.

 

C has a few extra lines where Heracles isn’t against the idea, but he suggests having you be both master and lover before asking why you look against it. In any case Snow thinks about how having a connection to Heracles in itself ought to be a good thing, but he has thoughts that this might cause the corrective force to get stronger because of that. Barguest sighs and suggests heading back to base to come up with new ideas. He thinks to himself as he wonders whether you guys can go back and if Kenta is okay. The episode ends as everyone checks their things before leaving the area.

Valentine Timeslip Episode 2 Part 2

Things pick up with Snow saying that the machine is working without issue, so the stirring or whipping of the chocolate should go fine. Echo says it’s not making alarming noises this time, notes the smell is sweet, and that it should be different than last time. She is still worried about the taste though. You say there isn’t enough sugar, say the bitterness needs to be removed, and ask Snow if anything can be done.

 

Snow says that the first batch used fruits and stuff Barguest picked up and the sugar Snow had for the afternoon tea. Unfortunately he doesn’t have enough sugar for making sweets, never mind chocolate specifically. Echo says she likes slightly bitter chocolate but wonders what Narcissus likes.

 

Snow suggests she make an assortment of various types then. He says Gyumao anticipated this and had suggested it too, so the amount of sugar used can be controlled with each type. Echo thinks about sweet ingredients, and a flash pops by that no one seems to see.

 

Time skips a bit later to when Barguest comes back and asks how Echo’s chocolate making is going. Snow asks him to quiet down as it turns out Echo is asleep. You say she only just fell asleep, say it’s because she talked a lot, and/or say to let her sleep.

 

Barguest comments on how well she seems to be sleeping and wonders if Kenta and Inugami slept like this before too. Snow says the chocolate maker is on automatic and making the cacao beans into cacao mass. He also comments on all the things Barguest brought with him and asks if he saw anything besides fruits and berries.

 

Barguest says he found something that might be useful that he found growing out there. Snow is shocked to see sugarcane and asks where he found it. Barguest is surprised by the reaction and says it was in the forest. He saw pictures of them before in Kenta’s textbook.

 

You mention that sugarcane is the main ingredient of sugar and that you can make chocolate now. You also question how convenient that is. Snow is quiet, and Barguest says the sugarcane wasn’t there the first time around as he asks what Snow thinks. Snow says it’s too perfect and that it’s like chocolate ingredients are being arranged for you guys.

 

You wonder what’s happening, say this might be your chance, or say you can at least make chocolate now. Snow agrees that the issue with sugar is solved now so you guys should focus everything on making the chocolate.

 

Heavy footsteps come in as Gyumao and Heracles appear, and Gyumao rather loudly asks Barguest how his search went. Barguest is more concerned that the other two are covered in sweat and asks if something happened. Heracles assures him that there wasn’t any problems occurring and that they were out destroying marble pillars. Gyumao says it went well thanks to Heracles.

 

Gyumao asks Snow if the marble has been broken down to the right size. Snow approves and thanks the both of them. Heracles brushes it off but is curious as to what the marble is going to be used for. Snow smiles as he summons a chakram and starts spinning it, then says it’s for making Echo’s chocolate.

 

Time skips again to when Echo wakes up from her nap. It takes her a moment to catch up with what she was doing, at which point she panics a little over falling asleep in the middle of making her chocolate. You talk to her and comment on her being up, say she was cute asleep, or say she has drool on her face.

 

Going A to skip over some things, Echo says she has to hurry and get back to work. Snow notices that she’s awake now and comments on that. Echo says she’s up and is more focused on the chocolate, but Snow says he stopped the machine for now since he feels Echo needs to make a decision at this point. She’s unsure of what he means.

 

On the table, it turns out Snow has cut the marble into shapes or molds for chocolate. Echo says they look pretty as she gets excited over the shapes like hearts and stuff. Snow says he only just finished cutting and sterilizing then by boiling. Everyone helped out with that. Snow also says he thought the appearance of the chocolates would be more gorgeous if there were more shapes than what was in the starter kit.

 

Echo says they’re all cute and is having trouble deciding. Snow says he’s glad she likes them, then says that the next things to do is to adjust the tastes and pour the chocolates to chill. Echo asks if the chocolate will be done after that. Snow tells her that the sugar has been readied while she was asleep, along with all the things Barguest found. He also offers her some milk and says she can make white chocolate if she mixes that with the cacao butter. You either be flabbergasted that Snow cut marble, ask where the milk came from, or just be mind blown at Snow.

 

In A, Snow says he used his chakram to do it though it was the first time he used it that way. It worked out in the end. In B, Snow smiles but doesn’t answer the question. Anyways, Echo goes quiet, so Snow asks if something is unclear to her. Echo apologizes but says nothing is.

 

Echo starts talking about how everyone is helping her and says she thought about how she had to work just as hard. Despite thinking that, she couldn’t bring herself to move her hands. You either say she’s pressuring herself, say you have times like that too, or suggest she might be feeling the weight of everyone’s expectations.

 

Snow says he understands her feelings and says everyone feels it. He then asks if deep down she’s worrying about what she’d do if it doesn’t go the way she wants things to. Echo doesn’t answer.

 

Snow talks about how he intends to help as much as possible, though he does cop to wanting to get out of the overworld shift. He then says that while there is a strict line over whether he ought to be doing so, he stresses that it’s something he can’t do himself. Solid Snake Echo parrots him, so Snow explains he’s talking about having confidence. He asks her to believe in her choices and to have a bit of courage. You think aloud on the idea of confidence or believing in your own choices.

 

Snow says he might come off as strict with his next words, but he says that if you feel the pressure from the expectations of those around you, it’s showing you have no self-confidence. If you fail to fulfill your goals and have no confidence, then all the incidental factors will be attacking you. Terror is what’s paralyzing Echo, so he says she needs confidence to push past it.

 

Echo gets flustered as she admits she doesn’t have any confidence and looks away from Snow’s sharp eyes. Snow says that’s fine since no one is confident before starting something new. It’s through trying while you don’t have any confidence that you find any. Even if it doesn’t work out, what’s important is that you believed that it would. He tells Echo she should do what she can, and if she fails then she can try again next time. He says he wants her to learn to believe in herself so that she won’t give in.

 

Echo thinks on what Snow said, and you tell her she doesn’t need to think so hard because she already has it inside herself. Snow agrees and says she already has courage. Echo doesn’t believe him, so Snow says she has the courage to protect her friends and try to escape her punishment. He also reminds her she’s been trying to get her feelings out this whole time.

 

Snow says that what Echo isn’t doing enough is focusing her attention on that courage. He starts walking towards her, and the pressure he starts giving off makes her gulp her breath. She tries asking him to stop, and Snow says he starts remembering a certain someone who tried to muster up their own courage and stand from long ago when looking at her. He then pulls off the apron and says he’ll give her lessons so that she can hold her chest out with pride. He starts by telling her to stand up straight, like the five chakras and a five story pagoda.

 

Echo follows along as best she can, and you either express shock at Snow giving lessons, ask him to not overdo it, or express some jealousy. In any case Snow tells you that you’re taking lessons with him too. He says that you are a strong person that he and Claude recognize, but he says your behavior still has room to grow to become fitting as someone strong. He decides now is a good time to combine both your lessons and Echo’s, and he’ll be strict about it.

 

You express even more surprise and try to back away, but Echo begs you to stay since she’s afraid to do it alone. Snow says he’ll teach her to act confidently and warns her to not show any discomposure as he starts the episode battle. The story continues afterwards.

 

Things pick up some time later as Snow decides it’s time for a break. You and Echo pretty much collapse like the strings of tension holding you guys up have been cut. You comment on how rough it was and that your knees are trembling, then ask how Echo is holding up. Echo says confidence is hard and that she’s totally exhausted.

 

Snow says he needed to beat the basics into you, though he admits he feels he might have done it in a hurry. Heracles says it looked terrible from where he was watching, and that he didn’t expect to see chakrams flying to correct your posture. He’s come back with a big basket of fruit. Snow comments on his return and says he was putting a little courage into you two.

 

Echo mentions how straight her back is and asks if she’s gotten any braver. Snow laughs and says she’s braver than when she’d try to run away at first. You either protest and say the method is too Spartan, say it somehow feels like her voice is getting clearer, or demand a compliment for your efforts.

 

Going A, Snow says it might have been drastic since he thought time would be an issue, but he figured he’d try something that would get results. He also mentions giving lessons like this to a lot of other people in the underground arena.

 

Heracles asks if love is something to push your body so hard for. You say it might be more of a spirit thing, say it’s something you go all in on, or at least not something you push your body for. Going A, Heracles thinks on it and says he doesn’t really understand. He does say there is a thing in Olympus where you train your body for the sake of making connections, so that sorta tracks with Olympus values.

 

Heracles mentions having to clear trials he’s been given since birth, so he’s never felt the sensation of having his heart taken by someone like Echo has. That said, he thinks it’s brilliant how Echo is trying as opposed to how he lives for boring ties. Echo disagrees and says she’s just entranced by Narcissus like everyone else is. You question if that’s all there is to her feelings, say any reason is fine for being attracted, or say what’s important is what comes after.

 

Echo seems surprised by the question. Snow asks if Echo’s throat is dry and offers to get a cold drink. Scene shifts back into the base as everyone gets some drinks, and Snow decides to continue an earlier conversation. He brings up that Echo mentioned Narcissus’s lonely expression was painful, so she wanted to take his mind off of it. He figures it’s love and says it’s wonderful.

 

Echo demurs, though Snow continues and says those feelings are also a step away from being a binding curse about wanting to monopolize him and wanting him to look only at her. She doesn’t responds to that.

 

Snow talks about how thinking of your love interest all the time can be painful. He cautions Echo that love is not an excuse that allows you to do whatever you want and asks her to always remember that. She nods. Heracles talks about how Hera acted the way she did because she loved her husband and wanted him to be faithful to her. He thinks about how Zeus must’ve feared her, and how her deep love ended up cursing other people.

 

Snow says that thinking about someone means that a line has to be drawn down. He does hope that Echo’s romance works out for her, but he says that love is about mutual agreement over each other’s wishes. He warns her to not push her feelings one-sidedly. She parrots the point back, and you speak up to say you’d want to be connected with the one you like and/or that you want to tell someone that you love them.

 

Echo agrees with you, and Snow says she should make sure of what she should do. Heracles asks what he means, so Snow says he’s talking about not looking for a connection. Being connected is a result and not a goal. While Echo’s feelings may be intensifying, whether it’ll work out is another question. Love is something you fall into, and no one knows where things go after that.

 

Heracles is surprised and says he doesn’t understand. He asks about how that would mean effort is pointless. What does anyone have to suffer so much for? Snow says all one can do is plant the seeds of love. Whether they bloom or not depends on what happens. How much effort you put into them is for your own sake, not your love interest’s. Maybe that seed wouldn’t have gone anywhere. Or maybe the foundation you put it in would never have worked. Snow says that when you think about who you did it for, that’s when your love turns into regrets.

 

Snow says that when you see why you failed, love becomes a poison that eats you up. And when you feel like not wanting to see why you failed, that poison turns toward the other party. You either say nothing, say that’s scary, or say you understand how that feels.

 

Snow says he wants Echo to be confident she’s done all she could when she plants the seed of her love. If it doesn’t pan out, he hopes she’ll not despair over it, then find a new love. Echo thinks about the no regrets part, then talks about how she never could talk to Narcissus and how her regrets formed the overworld shift. You say she should try to talk properly to him but hope it does work after everything. Snow says he’ll help Echo deliver her feelings, then offers to teach her a charm that can help, at which point the section ends.
