Hephaestus's workshop. There's a robot shark down there he was working on that's now modded to all hell.
Tvastar: Welcome back Hephaestus! Wow that's weird of me to say.
Hephaestus: W-what have you done!? I just asked you to finish this, not reinvent the thing!
Tvastar: Uh, I finished it up? I just added something to keep it from wearing out as fast one sec and then here I was with it.
Shark and Pompadour Shark!
Tvastar: Look! This one's a hammerhead now! It's got a jet engine! And that's not all I--
Hephaestus: W-wait, wait! Okay I can't fault you for the finishing up, but this is still overkill for a help bot! UGH I should have just done it all myself...this isn't just creative differences, this is a total left field creation!
Tvastar: Uh, isn't that a good thing?
Hephaestus: Haven't you ever heard of too much of a good thing? Fine, I'll start from the beginning again! This is SUPPOSED to be an automatic daily life supporter assistant shark bot! I made it fish shaped so it could move freely like Otohime can when I grabbed her memories from dark matter.
Tvastar: Oh yeah, you wanted to make it as a present for MC, right?
Hephaestus: R-right, since Mommy's busy with school and guild work. And then you talked me into making it even better with a new model, me programming and you building.
Tvastar: Yep, and now the shark bot can think like people. For better supporting! We really made an awesome collab product.
Hephaestus: And for SOME REASON you added more armor and jet engines! I can't give Mommy something this dangerous! We're going back to this blueprint, so start taking out all those add-ons!
Tvastar: Nooo, at least leave the bio jet!
Talos: It is possible that MC may be overwhelmed if there are too many functions to start with. Perhaps you could add on new parts after it is given to MC and they ask for it?
Tvastar: Oh! That'd be nice
Hephaestus: REEEE you gave the perfect suggestion without backing either side and even thought of Mommy!
Tvastar: Wait maybe I should modify MC inste--
Hephaestus: NO! Let's strip the bot back down already!

After taking out the mods, Hephaestus, Talos, and Tvastar head to the Kamata school gate.
Hephaestus: ...phew. Was that everything, Tvastar?
Tvastar: Yeah. It's all simple now, but this is fine too.
Hephaestus: G-good. Then it's time for a trial run!
Shark Bot: Beep boop, owner data not found. Running test mode, defaulting owner to Hephaestus, bzzt. Hi, how can I help you today?
Tvastar: Okay, it's working out okay! Hovering's fine too.
Boy A: Big shark!
Boy B: Wow!
Girl C: Eek! A shark? On land?
Girl D: Must be a test. They make bots and rockets here. Also I think I saw a shark movie based on a real story the other day...
Wolf E: Oh my god is it gonna attack?
Guy F: Didn't I see a movie of a winged shark before?
People walking by are talking about the shark now.
Hephaestus: O-okay, so far so good. Better start with a simple order. Get my wrench from the tool box in the practice area.
Shark Bot: Understood. Beep boop, Kamata Technical College map downloaded. Bzzzt MoVING ouT tO--
Tvastar: Uh, something seems wrong.
Hephaestus: Maybe I need to check the radio?
Shark Bot: beeeeep
Shark Bot: REEEEE
Hephaestus, Talos, and Tvastar: OH NO
The shark bot jets off!
Hephaestus: Tvastar, didn't you take all of the jet out!?
Tvastar: I did! It'd be even faster if I didn't! Anyways we gotta catch it!
Hephaestus: R-right! Talos, after it!
The shark is already far enough that they're losing sight of it. Not even Talos can catch up.
Talos: Preparing capture net. Target entering range in...
Shark Bot: REEEEE
The shark bot jumps into a river!
Tvastar: What!? But why though!?
Hephaestus: My eye artifact can't scan it since I can't see it! But we still have to catch it! Talos, go downstream. We'll go upstream!
Talos: Understood.
Later
Spoiler alert: they didn't find it. Hephaestus looked over the blueprints and programming to try to figure out why the bot bugged out, but...
Amatsumara (offscreen): Breakfast, you guys!
Kurogane (offscreen): I made it today! Hurry before it gets cold!

Tvastar: Damn, pulling several all nighters sucks. Praise the stamina drinks!
Hephaestus: I just wanted to help Mommy...
Takemaru: So why y'all stayed in your workshop all day?
Hephaestus: N-nothing. I do that all the time.
Tvastar: I'm collabing with Hephaestus! And I just sorta maybe got a little too into things and--
News: Shark attack in Tokyo beach yesterday!
Hephaestus and Tvastar: PFFFFT
Kurogane: Oh my god, don't do that you guys! ...is my cooking really that bad?
Hephaestus: S-sorry, I was just surprised by the news.
Tvastar: Same. My bad, I know you worked hard on this.
News: Somehow there are like no eyewitnesses to this attack so we know, like, nothing.
Tvastar: (Hey, is this done by the shark bot we made?)
Hephaestus: (B-but it's not supposed to hurt people because of the programming...)
News: Oh wait, we heard that the shark has, like, white letters on its fin?

Hephaestus: M-me too, I left tumbler running and I have to check that. Talos, clean up!
Talos: Yes, Creator.
Amatsumara: Hey, don't you dump the clean up work on--oh he's gone already.

Hephaestus: O-oh no, this is really bad now!
Tvastar: Wow the shark really swam down the river to Tokyo Bay... Hey Hephaestus, can you go after it? I'll track down the people it attacked and apologize to them. It's apparently not so bad, so I can just throw Somas at them to recover all their HP and SP!
Hephaestus: A-alright. We have to fix this before the seaside school event Mommy was looking forward to gets cancelled!

The Gang: We're gonna work at AndvaResort!?
MC: Yeah, let's make some money! We're always having budget problems, so...is AndvaResort even open?
Shirou: Yes, but...the attack happened literally yesterday. Is the government okay with keeping the beach open?
Andvari: You think fast! Yeah, things can't open like this, so at the very least we need to keep the beach area safe. Which is why I'm hiring a marine security expert!
Touji: ...so why do you need us again?
Andvari: Well I need more people if I'm gonna have the whole beach guarded. I'm also shorthanded at the beach house because of the attack, so I figured I'd hire you guys to handle those things! Oh, and bonus if you manage to catch the shark fr fr.
Kengo: Shark fight!
Gullinbursti: I agree to this plan!
Ryouta: Maybe I should sit out since I'm not buff or--
Andvari: Oh right, I'll treat you to lunch on the job!
Ryouta: I'M IN! Oh, can I ask Behemoth to join us? He's part of our beach event group now, so I think he'll say yes!
Andvari: The more the merrier!
MC: well that was quick! / business as usual for Ryouta / that food budget is gonna be dead
Andvari: Okay, that's five people in now. What about the rest of you? You can say no, it's cool, but it'd help a lot if you said yes.
Touji: Okay, I'll go. It'll be good training, and I worry about the ones already volunteering to go will cause problems.
Kengo: Eh, Gullinbursti might not be used to working a job since he's up the mountains all the time.
Touji: ...don't you go up there a lot as well?
Moritaka: N-now now, we're doing this to help. I'm not much for summer, but I can't fall behind Tadatomo if we'll be working in the same place. I will join you!
MC: Cool. What about you, Shirou?
Shirou: (Why ask us for help if Andvari has a specialist coming in? There must be...)
Shirou: ...I'm in. But can I ask Ziz to come with us too?
MC: You're asking her to work with us!? / Ohh / why?

(A) Shirou: No, she'll just come with us. I don't know if she'll agree, but she could sign off if Andvari's safety measures will be okay.
(BC) Moritaka: Oh! Ziz could judge whether the beach will be safe enough for the seaside school if she goes!

And that's how MC and the gang decided to go to AndvaResort under different circumstances than planned.

Arslan: Yes, I gave everyone at school the slip! Now to solve the shark attack problem! Time to talk to people for information, starting with those people I recognize!
Andvari: Huh, what's all that noise over there? Let's go Reprobus.
Reprobus: Understood. Maybe I'll find Master there...
Dagon: Ha ha, you never change. Remember that this is supposed to be a training bit for you.
And so the event cast starts coming together...
