In the city connected to 23 other worlds, evil earthbound spirits writhe in the darkness of Tokyo. Many influential predictions intersect as interests collide with one another. Countless spies run rampant to compete ruthlessly, even now on this night, somewhere out there. Over in the classroom in Shinjuku, Sandayu stops some objecthead mobs. There are more in the hallway that he goes to confront, revealing he's been letting them go free when they thought they were undetected. The mobs panic and attempt to call for backup, but Sandayu informs them he's already cleaned them up. Dividing an information network apart and crushing the resultant pieces is his specialty. The three in front of him should be the last ones left.
Sandayu sighs about there being way more 'guests' coming to the school every night than he thought there'd be. A bunch of different organizations have sent in people whether openly or in secret to look for you, and Sandayu asks who sent the phoneheads. Based on how they're dressed, he guesses they're part of the Agents like he is, though he doesn't know if they're active members or were headhunted away. Before he can continue with the thought, the phoneheads charge him, and Sandayu is mildly surprised they're going to go down fighting even though he notes that every other group did the same thing. Getting cut off from reinforcements and panicking makes people lose sight of the situation and their surroundings, and Sandayu taunts the mobs by asking if they realize why he's deliberately shown himself.
Sandayu's arm materializes behind the mobs while they are focused on him being in front of them. He proceeds to beat them down with it, then comments that it's a bad thing to let your focus be drawn only to what's before you. Sandayu then reattaches his hand, sighing to himself that he has to clean up the school building after it gets dirtied up and bemoaning the overtime. But narration notes that getting rid of evidence is a standard skill of a professional. And thus the traces of mortal combat are cleaned up so that no one will notice them in the day...so long as someone doesn't intentional leave anything behind.
Have you heard? Has anyone told you? There's a ghost that shows up in Shinjuku Academy! A friend of a friend of mine snuck into school one night to get something they forgot when they saw it. There was a suspicious shadow there, they said! But when they went to investigate, there was nothing there. Isn't that scary? ...it all began with an innocuous rumor, a little bit of small talk with no evidence to back it up.
Have you heard? Has anyone told you? One of Shinjuku Academy's teachers has disappeared. Most of the other teachers are acting like he was never there to begin with, but isn't that the craziest thing? Maybe a transfer of schools is in order. But it's not just Shinjuku; apparently things are insane over at Kabukicho Academy. I've read on the internet that the famous schoolgirl model E throws out the people she doesn't like from there, so it must be true! One of her fangirls was so disappointed when she heard the news. Don't listen to the naysayers who call you stupid for listening to the internet rumor mill, even if they tell you they've heard differently. Apparently Asakusa is going through some insanity too, what with their ouendan squad leader going violently crazy. Maybe it was a random fit of flipping out? Who knows what the police are doing. Also some people have been raving about the end of the world. Sounds dumb fam. But there have been a lot more of them around lately...
Time skips to the next morning where a group of rando students walk into school and greet Sandayu as he stands outside. He's gotten used to the school quickly, and he greets the randos back and comments they must be good friends to be walking in together like that. The students however say they've been hearing frightening rumors lately, so they decided to come together. There's stuff like a ghost in the school and random attackers. When asked if he's heard of any of that, Sandayu assures the students that everything is fine and that he'll protect them if anything happens. The mobs thank him and call him really reliable, and Sandayu laughs about the compliment.
As of late, many students have started going to school in groups looking anxious. You walk up to school around now as well, and you greet Sandayu whether verbally or with just a nod in his direction. Sandayu greets you back, then notices you're by yourself. You are slightly surprised by him bringing this up, saying your friends are in the classroom and asking why he'd point that out. He's quiet at first, but then laughs it off as you being cheeky and saying you can show some cuteness on your end as he puts his arm around your shoulders. He asks if you're bothered by anything, and if you are you can trust him. You either say nothing's up at the moment or be alarmed at how close he is and how that's bothering you right now. Either way he seems surprised but smiles a moment later.
Time skips to after school where you, Moritaka, Kengo, and Shirou are getting together for a guild meeting in the safe house. Shirou starts the discussion up, but he admits there's nothing new to talk about. You are taken aback at this report or just accept it stoically, and Shirou clarifies there's tons of rumors, but nothing's been proven and substantiated. The information out there is getting complicated, and there's no definite clue to where the Invaders are.
Since that's the case, Shirou suggests leaving figuring out what's happening now for another time and focusing on your original stated goal of collecting Mononobe's memories. If you guys are believing what he's told you, then his memories have been separated into three units. These units are being held by the guildmasters of the true big three guilds, which is why you guys have been looking into their locations. But for this subject, Shirou says he'd like to have Him talk about it instead.
You ask Shirou who he means and/or start to suspect who this person is, and Shirou says it's him for sure. He's the most appropriate person to talk about this since he's a person of interest in this case. Shirou notes they've finally felt like talking as he glances at Moritaka, and Moritaka says the preparations to start talking with Shuuichi have are done. You comment that it is Shuuichi who you guys are talking to, wonder why he's going to talk, or be surprised he's volunteering anything himself. Moritaka says that Shuuichi and his brother used to be candidates for the true big three guild masters, then asks you to wait as he tries to call Shuuichi.
Shuuichi is with R-19 in the Ikebukuro dungeon and answers the video call, greeting Moritaka, Shirou, then you. He explains that the Berserkers are giving him protection, and he is sorting through and analyzing information in preparation for the upcoming battles. He's found a lot of interesting things, and honestly it might be too much for him. Now as Shirou has probably already told you, the Warmongers have slowed down their movements. During that time, the Berserkers have regained a bit of their fighting power, secured portals, and collected information. Since it's too dangerous for Shuuichi to be out on his own, he'll be renting space from them for now as he puts it. He remembers that the main subject is actually about the three guildmasters, then tells you he knows them since he was raised together with them in the same research facility. What he's about to tell you is stuff he wants you to keep in mind for the worst case, and the episode ends with him asking R-19 to send the 3D data he made to your monitor.
