But
on the other hand, the slimes are largely unconcerned and say they’re
running like bored kids or beach bums. They scatter everywhere and
disappear in seconds, leaving the workshop a mess and the two fighters
not winded at all for all their efforts.
Amatsumara
compliments Gullinbursti, saying he’s not all talk. Gullinbursti in
turn takes back his previous words and apologizes for calling Amatsumara
weak. Amatsumara then talks about how Gullinbursti’s body is clearly
built by some sort of famous artisan and asks if he can take a closer
look sometime.
Gullinbursti thanks him and
says he’s happy to be praised about his training and about the dwarven
handiwork put into him. And since he doesn’t have any idea of how to go
back to his home world, he figures he may as well ask Amatsumara to do
maintenance on him sometime.
Agyou is
having a conniption fit about the mess and asks if he can clean the
place up. Amatsumara shrugs saying he never asked him to do so, then
says it’d be okay to just leave it all. Agyou insists and says he wants
to clean since he can’t stand leaving it alone. You can either choose to
help or leave him to it.
Going with A, he
thanks you but declines the offer since he can do it himself. In the
meantime he says you should investigate the slimes’ source and ask about
ways to send Gullinbursti back.
Amatsumara
asks Gullinbursti about his sword and figures it belonged to his
master. Gullinbursti admits to it since he could tell, then says Freyr
died after he gave it to him. He knows the sword is beyond his
abilities, saying it shone brighter when Freyr used it. He however can’t
even bring out half of its power and says his class doesn’t suit it.
He’s
frustrated he can’t use it well and groans about it. Kurogane brings up
that Gullinbursti is trying to find a way back home and asks if
Amatsumara has any ideas. Amatsumara asks about the summoner and says
it’d be simple if they knew, but stops short since he figures they don’t
know who it is. In which case, this is a tough problem and he doesn’t
know anything.
Gullinbursti is
disappointed, and Amatsumara says nothing can be done about his desire
to go back. He empathizes, then says that if he was summoned must have
wanted it to happen too. Amatsumara then suggests he go look around
Tokyo and maybe find the reason he was summoned.
Gullinbursti
is surprised and glances over to you. In his thoughts he says he
thought he heard Freyr, but that seems to have been a mistake. Then he
questions if it really was, asking if he actually could mistake someone
else for Freyr. He looks calm, but inside he’s confused to hell.
At
the very least he wants to figure out who you are while he’s near you.
But at the same time, he still wants to go back. After Ragnarock
happened and Freyr died, Gullinbursti has no idea what happened to
Yggdrasil after that.
You talk to him and
tell him not to be too serious. He should be who he is and you’ll be
with him. Gullinbursti says Freyr used to say that to him a lot since he
always charged ahead, never joked, and was often alone.
Agyou
speaks up and suggests that Gullinbursti join the guild if it comes to
that. Gullinbursti is pretty strong, so he could protect everyone if
he’s in. Also you get into crazy hijinks like all the time. If
Gullinbursti is with you guys, then Agyou won’t need to worry about
keeping you defended while he’s not there himself. Then he adds that he
isn’t going to force the issue, and that it can end when he finds a way
back.
Gullinbursti smiles awkwardly at the
offer and softly rubs Agyou on the head. He says it’s not a bad idea and
that he’ll think about it. Tsathoggua then speaks up to say he’s
sensing another strong reading of the slimes, and that the slimes that
ran must be gathering elsewhere.
Agyou says
you guys should hurry. Temujin is standing there quietly, so you ask
him if something’s wrong. He says it’s nothing, just him dozing off for a
sec and remembering old memories. During his military rule he had
multiple betrayals happen, so he despises it and cuts out anyone who
does it.
However, there is one case of it
where he hasn’t been able to get over it. It bothered him to the point
it scarred his heart and he was prepared to swear off friendship for
life. Looking at your eyes reminded him of it. He then says you never
let him hold (or ‘hold’?) you, then swears he’ll make you say you want
to join his ordo, the thing you never did back in Xanadu. He takes it as
a personal challenge and says that’s how he lives.
You
guys then get into the taxi that Tsathoggua calls over, and Temujin
subtly frowns as you guys drive off to your next destination and the
episode ends.
