Year of the Wildest Boar Episode 1 Part 1

Title card pops up immediately, and this chapter is called Pursuit! Dust Slime!

Then we pick up as we catch up with Agyou, who is waiting just outside the shrine gates and waving you over as he bounces in place. Tsathoggua went to call a taxi because he thinks walking is too much effort. In fact he got a three row taxi that’s already there waiting for you guys.

You can either be surprised to go travel by taxi or ask why he isn’t just using a teleport. You bring up the idea either way so Gullinbursti asks about it. Agyou explains it to him, though he says he’s never seen it himself either. Temujin is interested and imperiously orders Tsatthogua show it to him.

Tsathoggua says he’s gotten a clearer reading on where the trash slimes are, but not enough to know where to actually teleport to. It’s harder the farther it is, and he’d rather not waste energy and effort. Gullinbursti comments that it probably wouldn’t send him back home either.

The idea blows Agyou’s mind since he never thought of it. But Tsatthogua goes on to explain that teleporting so many people, people who are not his minions at that, would eat through his energy like hell. So that’s why it’d be easier to take a taxi to go where you need to go for this incident. If he can economize a situation with money, he’ll gladly do so since ex-rulers don’t make a show of things.

Temujin interprets this as a low scale personal attack and thinks Tsatthogua has balls to do so. Then he brags about making other rulers submit being his hobby and strong suit. He’s totally going to make Tsatthogua wholeheartedly want an audience with him! And then, if he shows humility, he’ll do him the favor of showing mercy and have a private show.

Agyou objects to Temujin saying what he’s saying in public. You can agree or ask him why. Going with B, Agyou gets flustered and says talking about two people alone and being thorough is bad. Tsatthogua says he’s thinking too much into it and compares him to Aizen. He personally isn’t thinking anything of it.

Temujin derides that as dumb, then says there’s no helping the presence or absence of good will. If he wants it, then it must be dharma. He’s not gonna flatter other people, waste time, or meet others for even a moment. Temujin then laments that not even he can push away death’s door, and that he could die even tomorrow.

Temujin talks about how if you can’t fulfill your ambitions within your lifespan but still want it to happen, you could have children. That’s why he invites people into his ordo and has children with them. Agyou loses track of the conversation around this point. You can either point out that children are different people from their parents, or bring up that it shouldn’t be possible for you and him to have children.

Going with B, Temujin asks if you’ve forgotten that having children has a different meaning to you guys from Xanadu as opposed to every other world. It’s the central power of Xanadu to have children regardless of the partner’s species or biology.

He calls it the continuation of life with species who normally couldn’t conceive with them, and says it’s a better method than what the Tngri used. Gullinbursti doesn’t understand much of what Temujin said, but he does agree about one thing.

Gullinbursti talks about having been in the battlefields for a long time and has seen many ways of life from other warriors. Then he says Odin, Thor, Freyr, and others he doesn’t bother to name held making more strong warriors as important, so he can’t deny that. Also pigs are great at having babies, so he wishes that he’ll have more like him to help his master.

Temujin says that since he understands, he won’t stop him. He then turns to you and says you should sit next to him so you can entertain him. Gullinbursti immediately objects and says you should sit next to him instead. Temujin says boars only know of simple honesty and accuses him of trying to seduce you that way. Gullinbursti responds that simple honesty is an honor to him and the meaning of his forging.

Agyou intervenes and tries to get them to get along since it’s just a taxi ride. Tsathoggua says whatever is fine and to hurry up. Also he’s taking the back seat for all that sweet leg room, especially because he’s huge and doesn’t want to bother with sharing. You can either suggest Agyou sit in your lap, sit with Temujin and Gullinbursti, or say you want to sit in Tsathoggua’s lap.

Going with B, Temujin is surprised you’d treat him and Gullinbursti on the same level. Gullinbursti says you should at least sit at the end because Temujin might try to pull something otherwise. Temujin responds by suggesting he go on a boar hunt. Agyou says you probably shouldn’t let them sit next to each other.

In any case everyone gets on, having their own thoughts, and the car sets out. You eventually reach Kamata as Tsatthogua says the presence of the trash slimes is getting stronger and stops the car. The game mentions Kamata as being 30 minutes away on the highway from Shinjuku.

Tsathoggua leads you to a school, which Gullinbursti asks about. Agyou reads the name of the place, which is Kamata Industrial Technical College, and Tsathoggua mentions the Crafters are connected to this school.

You can either repeat this back to him, say they’re familiar with artifacts, or say this is the rumored place. Tsathoggua is surprised you know of them too, then says the Tycoons also come over here to strengthen their artifacts. He doesn’t know that much, but he says they’re the only ones who won’t be attacked by any guild.

Temujin interprets that to mean they have an invincible castle, which he finds interesting and reasonable. Even in Xanadu, if the technician groups can’t fight everyone would know about it and they’d never have any place to manage. Though now he feels like attacking the place to be contrarian.

Kurogane walks in at this point as says being subjugated would cause problems. Agyou panics and says you guys didn’t come to do that, then turns to you to explain to Kurogane. You can either greet him like this is your first meeting, say you’re chasing strange lifeforms, or say you feel like you’ve met him before.

Going with C, Kurogane is surprised and says he thought so too. He figures you guys will get along then, then asks why you’re here. In any case he introduces himself and says he’s he guildmaster. Agyou says the Crafters are amazing and that Kurogane is cool for being their guildmaster.

Gullinbursti asks if that means he knows how to send him back to his world. Kurogane asks if he knows who his summoner is. He doesn’t, so he’s looking for alternative options. Kurogane is confused by this and says he doesn’t know that much on the subject. But maybe the old gramps of the guild knows since he’s also been a stray for a long time.

Agyou remembers that they need to find the dust slimes first, then asks Tsathoggua if he can sense them here. Tsathoggua points to the workshop up ahead, where this loud voice starts yelling about whether Hephaestus has slacked off on cleaning up because all these weird things are around.

Kurogane freaks out since the voice belongs to who he’s talking about, and Agyou picks up on mentions of there being weird stuff. You say it must be the slimes and head over. Inside Kurogane asks if he’s alright, and Amatsumara says things are suddenly all over the place. The dust slimes are throwing trash around and having fun with that.

Agyou explains you guys are looking for their source. Kurogane isn’t that worried about them and comments about never seeing slimes like them before. He does start freaking out when one reaches for something with facets on it, which he finds dangerous.

Gullinbursti decides to clear them out so you guys can actually talk, then says kids and old people who can’t fight should back off. Agyou and Amatsumara are shocked and appalled by this treatment, and Amatsumara tries to show off his muscles. Gullinbursti apologizes for hurting their feelings and says the strong should protect the weak.

Gullinbursti pulls out his sword, and the act of doing so makes the slimes freeze up, though some try to escape. Amatsumara notices something about the sword but sets it aside to show his own strength off. Tsathoggua tries to sit down and not do anything. Temujin says it’s noisy here, but it always is wherever you and he are together. You can either tattle on Tsathoggua to Agyou or kick back yourself.

In A, Tsathoggua jumps back up and tries to hush you up before Agyou notices and berates him. In B Temujin says being prepared for emergencies is also a thing rulers do, then says your war movements haven’t change much. He leaves things to you and says it should be like old times. Either way the episode battle starts.
