Valentine Festival! Episode 1 Part 2

Things pick up with Nomad continuing his TV fitness show host routine and a bunch of mobs join in on the dance. Kenta is amazed that everyone is keeping the beat, and Shirou is surprised at how many people are in on this dance. Kengo is indignant and insists this dancing could never slim Behemoth back down.

Behemoth of course dancing along back to his usual self to the shock of the entire party. Behemoth is surprised that the dancing is working so well, much better than just fighting it out. Ziz is surprised too and says the music is eurobeat, and that this will make you lose pounds with a thought.

Shirou tries to ask if the song and dance is really part of the event, and Nomad explains that it’s a bit of a thing to get rid of the extra calorie guilt. Ziz is impressed by the aftercare.

Nomad continues with the fitness coach host thing, and you join in. Some time later the dance is done, and Ziz comments about the sweat she’s worked up and how she wants sweets even more now. Behemoth thanks you guys for helping, and Shirou asks if the easy come easy go nature of his weight is part of his being a Transient.

Ryouta is glad Behemoth is back to normal, and Behemoth says he’s tried a bunch of ways before but he never thought this would work. Shirou thanks Kengo for joining in, thinking he danced along. Kengo is pissed and says he was legitimately trying to punch and kick Behemoth, though it had no effect.

Ryouta compliments you and says you were cool. You can either say it was a good sweat, say you’re a good dancer, or say you were seriously trying to fight. Nomad walks over and asks how it was, and Behemoth thanks him.

Kenta walks over to say Nomad was cool. He seems happy about that and says there actually was a point where he was working as a fitness instructor. You can either comment about that being where his speech pattern and smile came from, or try to bring up that he’s a detective.

Going with the former, Nomad gets defensive and says things happen as an adult. He’ll make you laugh however hard if it’s to survive, and he’ll do any work to fulfill his own wish. You can then call him the tiger burning with vengeance, say he at least sounds cool, or say you want to work together with him.

Going with C, Nomad scoffs and says maybe when you can wipe your own ass. But for now he advises you to enjoy your school life because like it or not you’ll be a grown up someday.

In any case Kenta is surprised at all the kinds of work Nomad’s done and says he’s like his uncle. Nomad asks about this, and Kenta explains that he’s talking about Barguest. Barguest always brings gifts after his jobs, like the jacket he’s wearing now.

Nomad turns out to know Barguest, and when Kenta asks he says he sees him at different work places. He also comments that Barguest needs to be a bit more picky about where he works. He’s the kind of person to stick his neck out for any paying job, no matter how dirty. Nomad does say he understands why Barguest has been working even more since before winter started.

You can either ask about that bit about Barguest, suggest Nomad is calling the kettle black, or ask if he knows Ifrit or Fenrir too. Going with C, Nomad takes a moment to figure out who you’re talking about. Then he remembers them as the guys who are always working at the workplaces from hell and insists he not be grouped with them. He only works for pay and anything that doesn’t pay should only be a hobby.

Anyways Kenta calls Nomad cool again and refers to him as a tiger. He says both him and Barguest are reliable and that he wants to grow up quick and be like them. You decide to inform him that Nomad was once human. Kenta is shocked by this and Shirou desperately changes the subject to the dance.

Ryouta says it swept him in and now he’s sweaty, and Nomad says it was made so that anyone could get into it, regardless of skill level. He also mentions that the music might happen at any moment, so he asks you guys to dance if it comes to it.

Anyways Nomad says it’s about time for him to go back to passing out Welcome Sweets at the entrance. He says to have fun because his salary depends on it too, and Shirou awkwardly thanks him for his work. Nomad makes one last comment vouching for the tastes of the other areas before leaving and wishes you guys a Happy Valentine’s.

Kengo says he feels tired already even though you guys just got past the entrance. Ziz apologizes saying she was surprised too, and Shirou says it’s fine because who could ever predict a sudden dance exercise routine? Ryouta asks if Behemoth likes sweets too.

Behemoth says not really, and that they’re more Ziz’s thing. Ziz says she’s here as a chaperone and the sweets are a side benefit. Kengo interrupts the flow of conversation to demand an explanation about Behemoth’s body. Ryouta tries to get him to calm down since he’s scaring Kenta.

Shirou says Kengo has a point and asks too. After a moment, Behemoth says he doesn’t know anything about taste, and no matter how much he eats he never feels full. Shirou asks if his sense of taste is gone. Behemoth shakes his head and opens his mouth wide for everyone to see.

Ziz explains that his mouth is his artifact and that anything put into it turns into pure energy. Kengo thinks it’s cool and would make him pretty strong. Shirou tells him to not interrupt and to listen all the way.

Behemoth continues and says the three two of them were given powers to fulfill their roles. For him, it was his mouth. Ziz picks up and says all the energy Behemoth takes in continues to build up in his body. Unlike humans, none of it will pass as waste.

Shirou asks if that’s why Behemoth gets fat. Ziz confirms that and adds that she admires people who are quick on the uptake. Shirou asks what the goal is, and Kengo thinks it’s just to store up energy from this event. Behemoth stays quiet, and Shirou says it wouldn’t jive with what was happening earlier. Ryouta adds he wouldn’t have joined with the jazzercise if that was true.

Kengo admits the point and asks why Behemoth is here then. You ask if he just wants to eat something delicious. The game says that for a moment it looks like there was a glimpse of something bright in Behemoth’s expression at the question, and he hastily agrees. He wants to enjoy something tasty with everyone, but his artifact prevents that.

He can’t taste anything, get a mouthfeel, or feel food go down his throat. Ryouta is indignant about that, and his yelling scares Kenta. Kengo tells him to calm down a little, and Ryouta apologizes. He still is upset about the injustice of it all though.

Ziz is quiet, and you can either say you see or ask if the app can just be turned off. If you try to ask B, Ziz explains that it won’t work because artifacts take effect in enclosed spaces, and for Behemoth’s mouth that relevant category would mean his body.

Either way you sympathize and ask if there are any ideas to solve this. Ziz brings up her sandwich basket and tea, and Behemoth says he can taste and feel full from that and only that for some reason. You can either jump on the idea or ask why.

Going with B, Behemoth says he doesn’t know either. But he’s sure there must be something else that he can actually taste. You decide to ask at this point about why he looked to you for help. Behemoth stammers out that you said eating together with people is fun. It seemed like it was nice, so he wanted to join in.

Kenta tries speaking up, and you suggest looking for something and eating it together, smiling at Kenta. Kenta says he’ll help because he wants to see Behemoth enjoying himself. Barguest told him that it’s important that food tastes good, and Ryouta agrees figuring something among all the shops should turn up a hit.

Shirou turns to you, and you agree to look together. Kengo says he’s fine if it means he can eat something sweet and that he’ll pick up whatever looks good. Behemoth thanks you guys smiling like a kid, and Ziz says that’s wonderful.

Ziz then has an internal monologue to herself. She wonders if it’s alright for her to do this given her teaching goals. But she’s even more concerned about her also having the same role as an offering to the people within the walls. Her other thoughts are shown in fragments, and you eventually ask Ziz if she’s okay. Ziz says she’s fine when you break her out of her thoughts, then suggests moving along. Then the episode ends.
